Wake up at 7 A.M., you overslept and it hurts to get out of bed, but you need to get up on your feet.
Eat breakfast, but it has no flavor or texture.
Shower, groggy, but you're alive.
Take medicine, it tastes awful and makes you wanna vomit, but it keeps you alive.
Do your hair, it's messy, brush your teeth, they're dirty, put on fresh clothes, your last batch got torn fighting villains, and meet the world.
Run outside, because you're late and should have been ready hours ago. Breakfast can wait. Today is an important day. No matter how much you feel like death, how much your body aches and how you miss the comfort of your bed, you must go cheer on the students.
This is their first day of the rest of their career. The first big step. The Sports Festival of U.A., an event the world over adores and watches.
Toshinori ran, ran and ran, fast as he could, panting, catching a taxi on the way to U.A., saying he's All Might's manager and he forgot his lunch. Reach the U.A. Barrier, this gate of safety. Impenetrable for any villains, indestructible for all reporters.
Today is a day for cheers, sports and the joys of youth.
So why couldn't Toshinori shake off this horrible feeling in his gut? In his wound?
The feeling that something terrible was brewing and he had no way to stop it.
"Your student…?" Right now, Toshinori was left with his mouth agape at the revelation. "What could you possibly impart onto a student? What could you teach?!"
All for One chuckled, his haunting howls emanating an evil aura through the screen. "Everyone is a teacher, All Might. The dog teaches us loyalty. The cat teaches us survival. The bear strength. The lions and wolves taught us camaraderie, unity, the importance of family and partnership."
"That is not the same! Those are qualities we must all aspire to! Foundational pillars that make a just society!" Toshinori's patience ran thin with All for One.
"A just society? Is that what you call it?" Toshinori was positively fuming at All for One's blasé attitude.
"You heard me! So let me ask you again, what can you impart onto a student?!"
"Truth." Toshinori's expression further shifted into rage at All for One's answer.
"Yagi." Nezu called to his friend, causing him to halt before he could strain his throat anymore. "All for One, what does your student want?"
"That's the thing." One could picture All for One playfully shrugging. "I do not know his goal. That is why I am approving it. I want to see what his independent decision making will lead to." His vagueness began to get on even Nezu's nerves. "I trust my student, All Might. I have ever since I chose him. And he came to me, chest puffed in pride, eyes wide and excited, like a child to his father-" Toshinori's eyes winced in response to hearing such a description "-he told me, and with the biggest smile; 'Sensei, I want to give the Heroes a day they will never forget.'"
"What's going on…?" Tenya was horrified. He sat inside the stadium's waiting room, alongside the rest of Class 1-A, who have already lost their fights. At this moment, only Shoto and Katsuki were outside.
"V-...Villains are attacking?! Villains?!" Minoru began to panic, his entire body shaking and sweating. "W-w-w-w-w-w-what are those dumbass Pros doing?!"
"Calm down, Mineta! They have hostages, they can't be reckless!" Mina responded, raising a valid point. The Heroes were effectively immobile when so many civilians and innocents were among the audience, their lives at the villains mercy.
"As far as we know, the villains knew how risky and reckless this is, but bet on the Heroes good will…" One could sense anger in the typically calm Momo, trying to keep her cool. "The villains… it's daring to attack the stadium, at the peak of the sports festival, but with such a large crowd… this isn't a typical attack."
"Yes," Hitoshi sat at the table, removing blindfolds from his eyes to his forehead, rubbing his eyes. "Their entire plan hinged on what makes one a Hero."
"Protecting the innocents…" Eijiro clenched his hand into a fist, his razor fangs coming into view as a frown made its way on his face. "Those bastards…!" He quickly turned to the others "We have to do something, guys! We can't just sit here!"
"He's right!" Denki concurred. "Todoroki and Bakugo are out there too! Shimura-sensei as well!"
"I understand you want to help, but we're not even proper heroes!" Tenya pointed out. "The law is clear, using our Quirks to participate in heroic activity without a license is grounds for expulsion or worse."
"That's bullshit!" Eijiro shot back, losing his patience.
"No," Mashirao Ojiro said. "We have to think things through. Even if we could use our Quirks, we don't know how many villains are out there."
"Ojiro is right!" Toru rose up from her seat. "But, I can scout out the area, or Jiro can scan the area! It's self-defense if we use it to save ourselves!"
"That's a weak loophole, unfortunately," Fumikage said, his arms crossed.. "They'll just say we could have barricaded ourselves in the waiting room and not left unless we were attacked first."
"That's if we survive today," Mezo depressedly pointed out "We don't know what these villains want in the first place.".
The students looked among themselves, quiet, but the sounds of the civilians in the audience seats prevented them from being calm or thinking about what to do. The only thing on their mind was the fear emanating through these walls, the tremors from the footsteps of villains and innocents. They all had the same thought, echoing through their mind.
"I want to save these people."
It was frustrating. Feeling helpless because they needed to be saved, but also because they couldn't help themselves.
"You know…" Ochaco broke the silence, catching everyone's attention. "Shimura-sensei once told me he broke the Quirk Restriction Laws." The students' expressions communicated their surprise.
"Ah," Kyoka's expression lit up "I remember that. He said it was during his one week Hero Agency Internship, didn't he?"
Rikido suddenly recalled the story as well. "Oh yeah. I was suffering from my Sugar Rush's side effect, so I wasn't cognitive enough, but it's coming back."
"He saw some kids stuck under a building, and there wasn't a Hero with a good Quirk to deal with that." Hanta recalled the event. "Best they could do, was try and hold up the rubble, but it wasn't going to wait for the right Hero to arrive."
"Yeah, I think I remember now," Tenya adjusted his glasses "My brother was there, I believe. He touched the rubble, and all of it was disintegrated into nothing. Those kids were saved, but Shimura-sensei nearly got expelled, had it not been for the arrival of the Hero everyone waited for, who vouched for him."
"All Might," Hitoshi finished the story, yawning and standing up from his chair, before walking in front of the TV. "Yaoyorozu-san, I need your help. Iida, you too," he called to the two, who walked over to him. Hitoshi squatted down, as the other students followed suit, though some simply got down on one knee, or sat down.
"First, we have to find out how many villains are around," Hitoshi said. "Jiro-san, you can help us figure out if anyone is in these halls, right?"
"Ah, yes," Kyoka replied. "My range is 12 meters. I never tried to detect more than a couple people, but I can try."
"That's good enough." Hitoshi directed his attention to Eijiro. "Kirishima, Sato, you'll be our frontliners. You're the physically strongest in this room right now. Iida, you stay in the rear, with Ojiro. Tokoyami, the hallways are fairly lit, but you'll be our secret weapon."
"Shinso-san, I can create us some support items," Momo said, quickly pulling up her sleeve, as an earpiece formed out of her fat cells, popping out and landing in her other hand. "These earpieces will help us stay in contact in case anything happens and we get separated. Not to mention, it's also on a different frequency, so we won't be caught by anyone unless they specifically tried to locate us."
"Excellent work, Yaoyorozu-san!" Tenya complimented his vice rep. "Koda-san! You can communicate with insects, can't you?"
"I…" The meek rock-like Koda tried answering, his nervous nature making it difficult. "I-...Insects...are…" He was fearful of bugs, but the sounds of people outside took precedence. "I can...do it!"
"Good," Hitoshi nodded "We'll move in a group. I'll stand in the middle middle, and like I said, Tokoyami will be in the center as our secret weapon, but I want everyone else and the girls to be in the center as well. We stick close, and if things go south, we use what Shimura-sensei taught us to fight back."
"W-...We're going to fight?!" Minoru's entire body trembled.
"No," Hitoshi replied "Our goal isn't to fight." He raised his finger, pointing. "Class 1-B may be in the waiting rooms as well. We have to expand our numbers and meet them if we can. The objective is saving people, not fighting. If we encounter a villain, leave it to me."
"That's right!" Mina exclaimed. "Your Quirk basically ends a fight before it starts!"
"Exactly, but that's only if we're facing one person. A group is bigger trouble." Hitoshi made sure his limits were clear to his classmates. "I can use it on more than one person but only if it's one at a time, so, this may be selfish, but, Kirishima, Sato, please, be my shields."
"You got it, dude!" Eijiro exclaimed. "I'll be your indestructible shield!"
"You can count on me, Shinso!" Rikido followed suit as well.
"Alright then, everyone, get an earpiece from Momo, look for whatever you need in this room. Sato, get sugar, but don't overdo it. Iif we lose you, we lose a valuable asset." Rikido nodded towards Hitoshi. "Right, everyone, get ready. We might lose our chance at becoming heroes, but… at least we'll be able to say we were heroes beforehand."
The students dispersed, preparing for their mission. In the meantime, the people outside began to calm down, as the villains, while outnumbered by the Heroes by quite a margin, still held the upper hand. Many of these villains had large scale Quirks with large areas of effects, allowing them to hurt many people before they would get caught.
They shut down the Heroes via a sickening strategy.
The dark cloud above the stadium dispersed, revealing the clear blue sky and sun, but the situation was far from getting any brighter/
Present Mic and Vlad King, in their announcers room, were held hostage themselves, not by the villain in the room with them, but by the situation as a whole.
The cloaked villain struck Vlad King out of his seat, sitting down in his spot, staring at the frustrated Present Mic. "Announce to them what I told you." The cloaked villain ordered Present Mic, appropriately handing him the mic.
Present Mic glared at the villain through his glasses, taking them off, sporting an unfamiliar drab and serious expression on his face. "Attention," he spoke, not even using his Quirk. "The villains here have come to make their presence known." Everyone stared and listened intently, others frightened and hiding their heads in their arms or between their knees, their lives in danger. "They call themselves the League of Villains."
Many of the watchers at home saw the events unfold, the broadcast continuing uninterrupted. "They request the authorities not try anything. If they see any police vehicle or hero arrive on the scene, they will kill ten hostages for every one that appears." Present Mic gritted his teeth, unable to believe he's complying with the villains' requests.
"Yamada…" Vlad King remained on the floor, fearing what the unpredictable villain would do if he tried getting back up. He was able to see the frustration making creases on his fellow teacher's face.
"Their other request is for the Pro Heroes to do as they are told. Their boss arranged the event for us," he finished, putting the mic down, staring at the villain.
"Good work," the villain said, removing their cloak, revealing a pale woman with pure white eyes and raven hair "For that, we will let one person of your choosing leave today alive." She said, though her expression was blank, her tone was condescending, knowing how much this aggravated Present Mic.
"What do you really want…? What can you possibly get out of this? Kill the heroes? The civilians?"
"Yamada, don't be hasty!"
"Even if you kill us, do you think you'll win anything today?!" He stood up, his chair falling as he did. "There are many more Heroes capable of taking you down, you bastards!" At this point, Present Mic's Quirk activated, as the audience heard him, losing his cool for the first time in everyone's eyes "Do you really think you will win against us?".
The villainess stayed sitting, merely grabbing the mic and turning it on. "No," she bluntly answered. "No one is going to win today." Her words gave no encouragement to the Heroes and civilians, in fact, it made the situation seem more hopeless.
The villains weren't here to win, they were here to convey a message.
"What the fuck is this shit?" Katsuki stared at the beak faced monster "Who are you?! Who are the League of Villains, you demonic dolphin looking freak!"
"Bakugo, don't be hasty." Shoto said, his fire and ice subsiding, carefully eyeing the two monsters, the chainsaw one seemingly keeping its guard up against him.
"Like hell!" Katsuki's right arm was still numb from his Ultra Shot. Two were shot today, the maximum he hoped for, not wishing to put any more strain on his arms, but he feared it might not be as simple as he hoped. "I want answers!" He shouted, loud enough for the audience members and villains to hear him. "If you fuckers wanna fight, you're welcome to! Or are you so scared you need to hold hostages for that!"
"That's not entirely wrong." A cloaked woman came on stage, eight eyes peering through the darkness of her hood. "We won't be able to win with the Number One and Two in this stadium, but like our friend said, we don't really expect any victories today."
"That's some fucking loser shit, if I ever heard it!"
"You're pretty foulmouthed for a wannabe hero, huh." The woman noted Katsuki's diverse vocabulary.
"Get that wannabe shit out of your mouth!" Katsuki furiously pointed at the woman. "I'm gonna be a Hero, I'll take all of you on to prove it!" Suddenly, four spider-like legs sprouted from the woman's sleeves as she pointed her arm forward, each inches away from Bakugo's neck and face, lightly stabbing and causing bleeding on him, yet he remained still and unshaken.
"Alright." She said, retracting her spider legs. "This is a Nomu." She pointed at the two monsters. "This one-" She directed her finger at the beak-faced Nomu "-let's call him as you said, "Dolphin", he was made specifically to beat the Number One Hero. I remember you shouting how you're going to be the best, better than All Might, right, Katsuki Bakugo?" The woman clearly knew about Katsuki, either from the last few battles or the sludge incident
"So, let's have a fun time!" She clapped her hands together, her clapping commanding the chainsaw Nomu to get off the stage, as the one named Dolphin walked to the center of the stage. "If you can beat our dear Dolphin-chan, we'll let you choose who gets to leave today alive!" Her excitable tone was sickening.
"No!" Toshinori looked on in despair. "Stop this, All for One! It's me you want! Leave these students and innocents alone! Fight me!" He yelled at the monitor.
"Oh, but All Might," All for One said, as the Monitor Nomu began walking closer towards Toshinori, "Just defeating you in a battle isn't enough. You see, before we clashed, I was on the pathway to achieving greater power, grander control. The accumulation of over a century. All crashing down, forcing me to stay hooked onto these machines, never again able to see color. You took that from me, All Might."
"You're a villain." All Might replied. "A Hero defeats Villains."
"And a Villain, opposes Heroes." He smugly replied "Heroes and Villains...what a wonderful cycle we humans created."
"All for One," Nezu intervened. "I beg of you" he got down on his knees, bowing his head on the floor. "Do not harm these people." Toshinori looked on, seeing Nezu's growing desperation.
"Oh, Principal Nezu." The condensation in All for One's tone was practically tangible through the static "If no one dies today, then this will all have been for nothing."
"You cannot kill them incessantly!" Nezu gritted his teeth. "Please! Take me if you wish! The teachers here will sacrifice themselves for their students as well! The heroes for the innocents!"
"Nezu…" Toshinori could only stare as the Principal's composure began to break
"My student calls the shots, unfortunately. I'm not the one who's going to call this off. It will be him," All for One replied. "Don't miss the show now, that the Bakugo boy is about to prove his worth out there." As he said that, Nezu and Toshinori quickly looked back onto the stage, as the audience all stared as well.
"So I just gotta beat this mammalian bastard?" Katsuki said, cracking his knuckle bones in his free hand by pressing against each individual finger with his thumb, as Shoto stared in the sidelines.
"That's right." The spider villain said.
"Heh, this isn't good enough." Katsuki grinned widely, his spiky bangs casting a shadow on his eyes, making his red eyes almost glow with how they stood out. "If I win, I want to fight one villain of my choosing, and if I beat that guy, I fight the next villain I choose! And then one and on! How about that?!"
"Oho." The woman sounded impressed. "Do you really intend on fighting all of us yourself?"
"Of course." Katsuki only had one arm functioning at the moment, but it was good enough. This Nomu thing, Dolphin, seemed slow and sluggish. It probably only had its size and brute strength on its side, but with Katsuki's better speed and strong enough attacks, he'll surely get a clear hit. Not to mention, the thing's weakness was painfully obvious; like a big red spot in a video game boss, the exposed brain was just begging to be hit. "The best Heroes always win at the end, no matter what."
"Alright then!" The spider villain clapped her hands, calling out to Midnight. "Yoohoo~ We need you to start the match." Midnight gritted her teeth, walking towards the stage, glaring at the cloaked villainess.
"Our next match," she said, doing as told as to keep the situation under control, forced to partake in this sick game. "Katsuki Bakugo, the self-proclaimed future Number One, and his opponent…" Midnight looked at this sickening display of cruelty that could only be done by a villain standing on the stage. "Nomu, the villain's black beast."
"Fight…!" Midnight's eyes wandered, seeing Pro Heroes who weren't simply staring at the fight, but analyzing their surroundings, refusing to simply sit idle and let the villains do as they please. "Start!"
"Alright, you bastard." Katsuki prepared himself to go for the offensive. "Get ready, fucker, I'll blow you and all your friends away with his one hand!" He launched himself forward towards Dolphin, quickly using an explosion once he got closer to sidestep to the side, a feint. The monster didn't even follow him, as Katsuki extended his arm forward.
"DIE!"
But at that moment, the Nomu's eyes turned to see Bakugo, who once again had a horrible feeling in his stomach, seeing that beak-like mouth extend into an even more wicked smile. Before he knew what happened, Katsuki's head was trapped in the palm of the Nomu's hand, Dolphin's fingers beginning to squeeze as it held him.
"Fast…!" Katsuki could only think to himself, as his vision became partly obscured by Dolphin's palm and fingers. "Ugh…!" He could start feeling its fingers squeeze tighter and tighter, right around his skull.
"Well, that was short," The villainess said, sounding disappointed. "Well, maybe he'll provide better entertainment." She said, eyeing Shoto at the sidelines. She could tell he wanted to intervene, but was smart enough to know the consequences would be worse if he did.
"Bakugo!" Tenko nearly stood up from his seat in shock "Stop this, he's just a child!"
"Sorry, but she's higher ranked than me." Ricochet said. "This kid right 'ere, if she told me to kill 'em, I'd do it in a heartbeat. In fact, this time, I'd finish the job."
"Finish the…? You…!" Tenko realized who Ricochet was and why it sounded familiar "You're the man who almost shot… Todoroki."
Endeavor's expression notably changed upon hearing that.
"Issat the kiddos name down there?" Ricochet glare looked over at Endeavor. "Ya got a good kid there, Endeavor-san." He smiled wickedly "When this brat here-" he lightly tapped his revolver against Tomura's head- "leaped in and took the bullet for 'em, that white and red little shit started crying and struggling to save that boy. You oughta be proud, Endeavor, your son's gonna be remembered as a Hero."
"Y-...You won't…" Tomura began muttering, as Ricochet looked at him. "You can't...win…"
"What's that boy?"
"You won't win today." Tenko answered for Tomura "Just you watch."
"AAUGH…!" Katsuki's yelling caught Tenko and the other's attention soon after, as Dolphin slowly kept crushing his head "You...fucking…!" He tried to maintain his gusto, but it was breaking apart, as blood began to drip from the top of his head
"Stop it! Stop it!" Toshinori yelled, pressing his hands against the window "Stop this right now!"
"I can't." All for One said "I already told you, it's out of my hands what happens. I just took the opportunity to say hello, and watch my student's work."
"I'm not done yet! You…!" Katsuki kept shouting, unleashing an explosion on Dolphin's wrist, yet as the smoke cleared, the torn flesh and exposed muscle simply regenerated in seconds, his grip didn't even lighten. In fact, it just got tighter.
"Nice try, but this Nomu was made for All Might, don't you remember?" The spider villainess said. "He has Super Regeneration, and Shock Absorption. It's a pretty good fit against you as well."
"What kind of monster is this…?" Midnight said, agape at the monstrosity.
"Aren't you going to save him, Midnight-san?" She condescendingly asked the Hero, knowing if she stepped out of line, the villains would do worse. "Go on, just try and save him."
"Don't you get in the fucking way!" Katsuki yelled at his teacher "I'm gonna beat this fucker! I don't need a Hero to save me anymore! Not from some…! Two bit…! Augh…!" Dolphin's grip tightened further and further.
It was happening again.
Katsuki Bakugo, at the mercy of a villain, while All Might, Toshinori Yagi, watched helplessly, unable to do anything. But the horrible irony weighed down heavily on Toshinori. He could transform easily and leap in there, and fight that monster, but in doing so, the villains would begin attacking the hostages.
He heard the sound of Katsuki's screaming, and the audiences covered their eyes and ears, trying to be ignorant to the torture he was undergoing, the Heroes feeling helpless, pathetic and weak, unable to even save one child.
One boy, right in front of them.
In the grasp of villains.
"ULTRA!" However, one large explosion caught everyone's attention, unleashed from Katsumki's palm, tearing clean through Dolphin's arm from his elbow, freeing him from his grip. "SHOT!" The monster's stump began to burn, cauterizing the wound, significantly slowing down his regeneration.
Katsuki landed on his knees, his entire vision blurry and disoriented. He tried standing up, but lost his balance, falling face first on the stone pavement, both his arms numb now, unable to move them. He could use explosions, but doing so would only damage his arms more, potentially dislocating his shoulders or worse.
"Young Bakugo…" Toshinori saw Katsuki struggling to force himself on his feet, just like back then, refusing to give up no matter the damages to his body.
"You shitty villains…" Somehow, Katsuki managed to get back on his feet, blood still coming down on his face, his blonde hair getting drenched in red as well. He breathed out, spitting blood on the ground. "I'm not going to die from this weak shit." He taunted them.
"Well." The villainess gestured at Dolphin, whose arm was almost done regenerating. "We'll see about that."
Dolphin lunged at Katsuki once his arm regenerated, once again attempting to grab him, but this time, Katsuki wasn't underestimating him, swiftly dodging to the side, closing the distance, forcing his right arm up enough to have his palm facing Dolphin's stomach, glowing a deep red.
"He's doing it again?!" Toshinori realized Katsuki's plan, a horrible feeling all over his body. "But his arm…!"
"I'm not satisfied with where I stand now!" Katsuki declared. "I'm gonna keep pushing myself further! Go Beyond!"
"Don't!" Toshinori yelled, but it was too late.
"Plus Ultra!" Katsuki unleashed a larger explosion from his palm. It shot out like a red beam, before its color became an orange, the shockwave from it sending both him and Dolphin in opposite directions, his body tumbling on the ground, and his shoulder now fully dislocated, with his entire right arm trembling intensely. He used another attack too soon, not to mention, stronger by keeping it compressed longer than before, and releasing more than he stored.
His screaming pierced everyone's ears, but Toshinori especially.
"What a brave child," All for One mockingly said. "What a brave, foolish child. All Might… what on earth are you teaching these students?"
"Pathetic…" Toshinori's body went limp, his forehead pressing against the glass "I'm simply… pathetic…"
"HEY!" Everyone quickly saw as Katsuki got back on his feet "I won!" He exclaimed, spitting at his opponent's general direction. Dolphin was now out of the ring, a large hole in his stomach, regenerating, and embedded into the arena's walls "How do you like that, you old hag?!"
"Well." The villainess casually snapped her fingers, as Dolphin rose back up, beginning to walk towards the stage "I didn't see that."
"Hey, this wasn't part of the deal!" Midnight said
"Deal? What deal?" The villainess continued denying. "We never made any deals."
"It's alright, Midnight-sensei," Katsuki said, as Dolphin took its first step back on the stage. "Don't worry! I'm gonna win! Why?! Because I! Am here!"
It was in that moment that something awakened in Toshinori. Defying all reason, his body beefed up, and with one mighty leap, immediately reached the stage, his fist connecting with Dolphin's face before the monster could begin fighting Katsuki again.
He knew the consequences.
He was aware of it, painfully so.
And yet, his body moved on its own.
"Those are good words, young Bakugo!" All Might exclaimed, his smile shining a beacon of hope in the dark atmosphere "But the saying goes...Do not be afraid!" He cracked his knuckles, beginning to walk forward towards the black monster "Why?! I am here!"
"Alright then, this wasn't part of the plan, but whatever!" The villainess exclaimed, her heinous smile visible behind her hood "Dolphin! Do what you were made for!" She commanded the black beast, as it roared and lunged forward at All Might.
"Hoho! What an unsightly creature you are!" All Might clenched his hand into a fist "Shock Absorption was it?" Steam exuded from his body, as his muscles tensed up, not from preparing an attack, it was pure, uncontained rage that was boiling inside of him ever since the villains made their presence known. "Regeneration too! What a useful combo!" It was like a flame, trapped inside a stone furnace, its intensity growing, turning the stones black with its flames, until eventually
"But." For a moment, unseen by the audience, All Might's smile turned to a frown "I'm not amused."
A single strike, square in the Nomu's chest, at such blinding speeds that one wouldn't be blamed for not seeing it. The air rippled and twisted around the arena, as if a small hurricane began to form, defying the morning weather report, its intensity growing, and even the heroes, villains and civilians in the audience feeling the gusts of wind nearly pull them off the earth.
Dolphin's body stood still as the shockwave and power was absorbed into its body, the storm calming.
And then, a second of silence.
"I don't think this one has a name yet, I just came up with it on the fly." All Might muttered, his smile returning, as the Nomu's entire upper body was utterly annihilated in that single hit, not even leaving the brain behind. "I put over a 100% into it, and let me tell you, I'm gonna feel it in the morning!"
"W-...What on earth…?! How did you...with a single hit?!" The villainess fall on her rear in shock, staring at the Number One Hero, realizing the sheer gap that existed between her and All Might.
"I'm sorry. I would have entertained the idea of a proper fight more, but…" His blue eyes glimmered from his shadowy eye. "I didn't feel like entertaining villains today."
As if by a miracle, and like the heroes of myth, the atmosphere changed, and the hopeless situation suddenly seemed like the possibility of survival became very much possible.
Without a moment's hesitation, Tenko rose up from his seat, striking the villainess next to him, a punch directly to the chin, knocking her out, Endeavor himself followed suit, simply bursting his flames from his back, igniting the villain behind him in flames.
"You crazy bastards!" Ricochet exclaimed, aiming his pistol at Tenko, preparing to fire, and yet, he missed, not because his aim was off, but because a crutch struck his wrist, hitting the empty seat near Tenko instead, Ricochet looking down, seeing the meek and anxious Tomura being the one responsible.
"Little shit…!" Before he could do anything else, however, Ricochet was knocked out by a swift punch to the head by Endeavor, the flame hero's strength enough to send him flying, before hitting the stairs and tumbling down to the arena
"You will not harm Shoto's saviour. I have words to exchange with him." Endeavor said, eyeing Tomura, who simply blushed and looked away nervous.
"Those dumbasses!" A villain in another part of the stadium said, preparing an attack, his arm extending towards the civilians in front of him. "Don't say we didn't warn you!" Flames began emanating from his palm, but before he could incinerate the innocent people, a crimson feather slashed his hand into the air, safely avoiding everyone in range, the flames simply dissipating in the air. "Huh?" Before he could even inspect what happened, the villain was knocked out by another few feathers to his back.
And soon, maybe more villains were pierced by those crimson feathers, knocking them out or killing them outright, at such speeds they didn't get the chance to hurt any civilians.
"23 villains on the east, a few at east-west, 10 north." Atop the stadium, unseen by the villains, a blonde man with aviators and great, mighty crimson wings. The Number Three Hero, the Wing Hero, Hawks. "12? No, 14 at the south-east corner." He fired the feathers of his wings, using the vibrations he sensed to detect and quickly dispatch any villains he saw and identified.
"What's going on?!" Another villain exclaimed, seeing his allies fall one by one around him, before being kicked in the face with such force that the concrete cracked upon impact, as a dark skinned woman, with a Quirk that gave her the attributes and skills of a rabbit.
The Rabbit Hero, Mirko, was on the scene, and without wasting time, quickly hopped into action. "I was getting anxious having to sit still so long!" She bellowed, and with her immense speed and kicking power, continuing knocking out more and more villains, saving civilians
And soon, more Heroes acted as well, attacking the villains while they were distracted and their operation falling apart, All Might's appearance shifting the scales to the Heroes favor.
"It seems you underestimated our strength, All for One," Nezu said, witnessing the Heroes gain the upper hand, managing to save the innocents without any coming into harm's way.
However, All for One didn't seem bothered, in fact, he could hear the faint giggling of the ultimate villain .
"How often must I tell you?" All for One spoke. "None of this is my plan. For all I know, my student anticipated such a thing."
"...What?"
"That is enough," The echoing voice returned, as the villains and heroes continued fighting. A black mist formed in the arena, as it solidified, revealing itself to be the shadow bartender Kurogiri. "Greetings, All Might." He politely said his hello to the Hero. "I apologize for how sudden this is, but I'm afraid you can't win quite yet."
"Hoho! What an interesting villain. Teleportation, I see. Warping, but, how peculiar, I've never seen a Warping Quirk like yours." All Might took note of the villain's abilities, deducing he's the person who managed to bypass U.A.'s defenses. "You warped all these villains here, and that creature into the room with me and Nezu."
"Astute." Kurogiri said, as he turned to the spider villain and Ricochet. "Spider, Ricochet, go," he ordered them. "You will get in the way."
"You're going to fight me?"
"No," He immediately replied. "I cannot defeat you, All Might. I can only keep you at bay long enough for Tomura Shigaraki's sake."
Without wasting any more time, All Might cocked back his arm, punching Kurogiri once. However, his fist passed through a misty black portal, and to his horror, saw where it ended up, cracking the wall near Shoto Todoroki's head, his fist mere inches away from the boy's skull. "That was...fast…!" All Might noted the frightening reaction time on Kurogiri. His speed was nothing to laugh at, and yet, Kurogiri redirected his attack without moving an inch of his body.
"If you wish to continue this assault," Kurogiri spoke, as All Might retracted his fist, the misty portal dissipating. "The next redirection will not miss." It was clear Kurogiri had no actual intent to fight All Might head on, and threatened to use his Warping Gate to redirect All Might's attack towards innocents, knowing he would become more hesitant knowing he could be responsible for someone getting hurt, or worse.
"Now, All Might," Kurogiri's mist began spreading "Stay put."
Within the inner halls of the stadium, Class 1-A traversed the insides of it, trying to look for any innocents in danger, hoping to not encounter any villains on the way.
"The screaming died down, but it just sounds like fighting now. We have to hurry!" Ochaco said, noting that the sounds got more intense.
"There's still people inside the stadium," Kyoka noted. "I scouted ahead and heard running. We have to save whoever we can."
"Jiro's right," Hitoshi said. "The Heroes are too occupied with what's going on outside to focus on the people still inside."
"Halt!" Eijiro quickly yelled, stopping the group in their tracks. "Someone's here." He said, as footsteps from the corner of the hall came into earshot, a large cloaked man coming into view.
"Children?" His deep voice echoed through the walls, as his footsteps echoed louder. "I hate to hurt kids, but orders are orders."
"Who are you?" Rikido asked the man.
"I'm just a no good rat," The man replied. "You can call me Kyub, that's the codename I was given." He introduced himself.
"I can't hear anyone else around." Kyoka said.
"What?!" Eijiro looked at the man, his eyes growing in rage. "Where did the civilians go?!"
"Civilians?" Kyub rubbed his chin, in thought for a moment. "Ah. That's right." He remembered. "They were trying to escape, so I had to shut them up."
"What did you do?!"
"Nothing. They're trapped somewhere. Could be running out of air in that tight spot."
"Wait, he's saying the truth," Kyoka said "They're alive, they just can't move! I picked it up! It's…" Her face went pale in horror "They're...in the walls. They're all grouped up in a small room, inside these walls." Everyone's horrified expressions spoke for itself.
"What kind of Quirk…? How monstrous!" Tenya said, his fury clear.
"Well, if you're curious." Kyub casually placed his hand on the wall, as the corridors began to expand, as if "sliced" into cubical shapes, the tight hallways now becoming a large room with plenty of space.
"This Quirk…" Momo looked on as the room continued to expand.
"Cube." The villain replied "I can create or destroy anything into the shape of a cube. If I apply it to the walls, I can do this, but if I apply it to something else, like the air…" The air in the shape of a cube formed between Kyub's palms, the size of his torso, before he began shrinking it, his hands pulling it from the sides, his arms and muscles tensing as it became more and more difficult to condense the cube "Air Cube." He casually said
"Everyone, get out of the way!" Hitoshi yelled, as Class 1-A quickly leaped to the sides, except for Eijiro who stayed put, as Kyub fired the Air Cube at the group, shooting at the speed of a bullet, the moment it impacted Eijiro, the condensed air exploded into a powerful shockwave, splitting the ceiling and floor into the shape of a cube around him, sending him flying and tumbling on the floor
"Gah…!" His top was torn, vomiting blood, as Eijiro's Hardening Quirk stopped working, the impact too much for his defenses to handle
"Hey! Asshole!" Hitoshi quickly got up, yelling at Kyub. "Fuck you!"
"You're a rude kid." And that was Kyub's mistake, as his eyes went blank, falling under Hitoshi's Brainwashing.
"I should have used this from the start…" Hitoshi said, as he quickly ran towards Eijiro, the others going towards him as well. "Are you alright, Kirishima?!"
"I'm…" He coughed severely, but the red haired boy was still conscious "That...hit harder than I thought…! But, I don't think this Quirk works on living beings, so that's...a plus…!" Eijiro said, as he was helped on his feet by Mina.
"His ribs are broken!" Kyoka said, her earlobe jacks touching his chest. "I can hear...they're cracked."
"We'll need to get Eijiro medical attention. For now, Sero, use your tape to restrain that big guy." Hitoshi said, directing everyone.
However, before Hanta could do as he was told, a smaller villain leaped into the scene, kicking Kyub in the head, waking him up "You fucking dumbass!" The petite villain landed on her feet, about the height of the Class 1-A girls, if not a bit shorter, with long black hair and simple blue eyes. "We got a warning this dude had a dangerous Quirk!" She said, berating the now mind control freed Kyub, who's bald head came into view.
"Aw, sorry, Entropy." Kyub awkwardly rubbed the back of his head, referring to the woman as Entropy. "Boss is gonna be mad."
"Warning? You knew?" Hitoshi spoke, but the two villains merely looked at him, not falling for his trick twice
"Kyub, I'll get the zombie, you focus on trapping the brats. Boss did ask us to not go easy on them," Entropy said, ordering Kyub, her eyes focused on Hitoshi.
"I see...so somehow you have data on us, and know about my Quirk huh?" Hitoshi spoke again, but Entropy merely rushed at him, extending her arm to grab him, before Hitoshi dodged to the side quickly. "Guess you're not that dumb!" He said.
"Shinso-kun!" Tenya called out, before an Air Cube floated in front of him, as he quickly raised his arms in defense, being blasted back by a smaller explosion than the first one, as more Air Cubes blasted the students, separating them from Hitoshi, ruining whatever was left of their formation
"Behave now, brats." Kyub said, more Air Cubes floating around his fingers "Boss is too vague, but he said to just fight you as if we're fighting Pros."
"Boss? So you are an organized movement!" Tenya said. "Who is your leader, foul villain!" He quickly got back on his feet, getting into a fighting stance, as other students prepared to fight as well.
"Sorry, but even I don't know Boss. He's a bit secretive. Wants to make his debut special."
"Debut? What are you talking about?" Rikido said, getting next to Tenya's side, Mezo completing the frontline.
"You brats ask too many questions!" He exclaimed, firing his Air Cubes towards the students, who quickly dodged out of the way, the blasts and shockwaves scattering them around even more, rendering their attempt at restoring a formation futile and discombobulating their minds in the process, stunning them momentarily.
"Guys!" Hitoshi yelled out, before quickly dodging another of Entropy's attacks.
"Your Quirk stops working after you talk to someone else, right?!" She said, landing one gut punch, causing Hitoshi to reel and land on his knees. "Boss took a while, but he managed to decipher your Quirk on time."
"M...My voice…!" Hitoshi struggled to speak, feeling his vocal cords metaphorically twist and prevent air to pass through.
"My Quirk is Disaster, it ruins one function when I get a hit on your body." Entropy arrogantly explained her Quirk, the explanation behind Hitoshi's sudden inability to speak. "I could've twisted your heart and killed you that moment, so be grateful our Boss only said not to kill anyone."
"This Boss...she said he deciphered my Quirk on time…" Hitoshi thought to himself, staring at Entropy "Does this mean, he's in communication with them right now? An earpiece?"
"Shinso-san." A voice came into Hitoshi's ear, Momo's, through the earpiece she created "This Kyub villain is strong, he's keeping us from getting to you, but we can't waste too much time. Jiro located the location of the trapped civilians, and we're afraid we don't have much time before they run out of air."
Hitoshi tried to reply, but his vocal cords refused to work still. He quickly got up, attempting to punch Entropy, who easily dodged and struck him square in the face with her fist, causing his nose to bleed, and his right leg to completely stop moving, forcing him on his knees "Momo, focus on the civilians." Hitoshi replied, blood dripping from his nostrils onto the floor "Go with Tokoyami and Mina, try and create something to locate the civilians, we'll regroup when we defeat these villains."
"Not allowed!" Entropy said, kicking Hitoshi's in the head, forcing him on the floor, this time his neck stopped working, preventing him from re-orient himself and forcing to stare at the blinding light of the lightbulb on the ceiling. "Kyub, stop that cow, the crow and the pink one!"
"C-...Cow…?" Momo overheard Entropy's order, looking rather flushed and embarrassed.
"I hate hurting women more than I do children, but if Entropy said so, I hafta," Kyub said, striking his open hands on the floor, as cube-shaped stones formed around Momo, Mina and Tokoyami, trapping them inside. "Sorry it's dark, but I assure you it's a wider space than those civilians."
"Oh no…!" Tenya quickly leaped far away from the trapped students, as did the others, confusing Kyub and Entropy. "You've made a mistake, you fool!" As he yelled that, a large demonic arm of darkness struck Kyub, sending him flying into the far end of the large room he created, breaking into the next room.
Just as quickly as it appeared, the darkness dissipated, not before another arm destroyed the other two prisons, freeing Momo and Mina, as Fumikage walked out of the darkness, looking terrified, panting heavily but still focused. "I nearly lost control of Dark Shadow, but I was able to keep control long enough…"
"I didn't get info on this…" Entropy said, before her attention shifted to Hitoshi, who stood up, his head limping rather oddly due to losing function in his neck.
"That's our Tokoyami, his Quirk is supremely useful in dark areas, as it is dangerous." He said, flashing a grin.
"That's so creepy!" Entropy was terrified by the truly zombie-like look on Hitoshi, before realizing her mistake, her eyes going blank and expression dopey, as her Quirk's effect wore off, allowing Hitoshi to move his neck again.
"Disaster and Entropy are a bit of dramatic names for a Quirk and codename for such a simple ability…" He said to himself "But like she said, she could have killed me from the get go by stopping the function of my heart, but it looks like she can only use it for one function at a time."
"Entropy!" Kyub yelled, looking awfully distraught. "How dare you?! Un-mindbreak her, asshole!" He angrily stomped towards Hitoshi.
"Whatever, dumbass," Hitoshi said, getting into a fighting stance.
"I'm gonna kick your ass too, bird brain!" Kyub yelled at Fumikage as well, creating more Air Cubes. "I'll break a few bones, that's technically not killing!"
"Shit, he figured he could talk to someone else instead," Hitoshi said, as he noticed an Air Cube floating next to him. "Shit!" He quickly leaped out of the way, as the Air Cube blasted Entropy away, knocking her out of Hitoshi's Brainwashing
"Aw, fuck!" Entropy exclaimed getting back up "Couldn't you be more gentle, Kyub!"
"S-...Sorry, Entropy, please forgive me…" He suddenly became more mild-mannered around her.
"These villains seem to know about our Quirks." Hitoshi said "But not all of us, since they didn't know Tokoyami."
"The darkness nearly consumed me, but I managed to fight back just enough," Fumikage said. "I don't think we can be reckless against them, Shinso."
"How's Kirishima?" Hitoshi asked.
"I'm fine, I can fight!" Just as he said that, Eijiro coughed, blood coming out of his mouth this time.
"You are not in any shape to fight! Bakugo messed you up bad enough!" Mina said. "Stay put! Sero, Mineta, restrain him if he tries anything!" She ordered the two, who simply saluted her in a "sir yes sir" manner.
"Mina…"
"You don't always have to be so headstrong, let others handle things!" She gave Eijiro a thumbs up.
"Don't mess around, break their bones!" Entropy ordered Kyub.
"I-...I was about to do that anyway!" He said, walking towards the students "I'll do ya proud, Entropy!"
"Alright...We might get expelled, but we'll hold them off. Momo, do like I told you!" Hitoshi exclaimed. "Those civilians don't have much time! Jiro, go with her, we'll find you guys later! Save whoever you can!"
"Right!" Momo said, as she, Mina, Kyoka and Fumikage quickly rushed towards the civilians.
"Hey, who said you can leave?!" Kyub said, striking the ground again, causing cubes of stone to expand from the walls, sealing their path, however, he quickly received a powerful kick to his head, causing him to become disoriented.
"Sato-kun!" Tenya yelled, the one who struck Kyub, as Rikido was right behind him, who was consuming sugar beforehand. Quickly downing a chocolate bar, and using the sugar from the candy he found prior to, he boosted his strength, delivering an uppercut to Kyub's stomach, his massive size lifted into the air by Rikido's great power.
"Aoyama!" Rikido yelled at Yuga, who prepared himself, firing his Navel Laser at full strength, the recoil nearly sending him flying away, but he kept his feet planted on the ground, sweating profusely from nervousness, yet still keeping his rather flamboyant expression and posture, his hands behind his head.
The beam struck Kyub's body with enough force to cause the villain to cough blood, knocking him away once more.
"That was...truly elegant!" Yuga said, his arms wrapped around his stomach. "I may have...used too much however!"
"Excellent work, Aoyama-kun!" Tenya complimented his classmate, looking on and seeing Team B already left, thanks to Fumikage's Dark Shadow breaking through the new barrier created by Kyub.
"You brats don't know how to give up, huh." Entropy said, getting progressively more annoyed. "Kyub, you dumb fucking bastard, why did I get paired up with you?!" She annoyingly kicked the now unconscious Kyub, who was out cold on the floor.
"Give it up, villain!" Tenya declared, as his fellow classmates made it clear they still had fight in them/ "We are U.A. students, we will not fall for petty criminals!"
"Blergh" Entropy merely made a mocking expression of disgust "Brats." She raised her arm above Kyub "I haven't tried this thing yet, but let's see if it works." She lowered her hand into a chop onto Kyub's head, as the large man suddenly rose up, the air pressure around him circling like a storm as he did, with such speed and intensity it could be mistaken for the work of a Strengthening Quirk
"Disastrous Morals." Entropy said "I stopped the one thing that makes people weak."
"What...is this pressure…?" Rikido said, looking at Kyub as if he was someone completely different, his footsteps indenting the floor with prints.
"It's as if he's someone completely different…" Tsuyu said, her body shivering, something unlike her.
"I destroyed the functionality of his rationale," Entropy said. "Berserker Mode."
Just as she said that, Kyub roared like a mad beast, lunging at the students
"Her Quirk isn't exclusive to biological functions?!" Hitoshi said, finding Kyub's fist inches away from his chin in an uppercut motion, before being pulled away by Tsuy's tongue, narrowly avoiding his skull caving in, proven by the air pressure from Kyub's punch destroying the ceiling. "What…?"
Kyub didn't relent, attempting to grab Hitoshi, but received an electric shock to his body, an attack from Denki, stopping him in his tracks momentarily, with Tsuyu following it up by pulling Hitoshi out of the way, closer among the others.
"Thanks, Tsu-chan." Hitoshi thanked the frog girl
"Don't mention it, ribbit. He seemed to realize you're the brains of the operation." She deduced correctly.
"Then our new goal! Protect Shinso!" Denki said, aiming his arm, preparing for another attack. "We can't lose our leader!"
"That's right!" Ochaco said, with Mashirao and Mezo standing in front of Hitoshi.
"Our leader is important to guarantee our success." Mashirao said.
"Leave it to us, Shinso. Guide us to victory!" Mezo exclaimed.
"You guys…" Hitoshi muttered, forgetting for a moment he was surrounded by what he could refer to as "friends".
Kyub continued his advance, getting over the shock to his system "Ugh…" He murmured, his mind clearly sinking into that of a beast, as Entropy watched on.
"Is this how you treat an ally? Some tool?!" Tenya shouted at the villainess.
"Ally?" Entropy said, seeming genuinely confused. "Kyub and I are just in a professional working relationship. There is no room for anything more than that."
"You…! How vile!" Tenya and the students prepared themselves, as the lumbering Kyub readied himself for another attack.
However, a man soon walked into view. More accurately, he came from the ceiling, landing perfectly on his feet, an incredibly muscular, and powerful looking young man. How did they know the man was muscular to such an absurd degree? Why, the young man, Mirio Togata, the Hero Lemillion, was naked before the two groups.
"Ah," Mirio noticed the young heroes. "Hello! It's good to see you're safe! I snuck away as the villains attacked and…!" The two groups shouted in shock, the women in particular, even Entropy covering her eyes in shock. "Ah." He looked down in realization. "Hahaha! I knew I forgot something, my ba-...!" He ceased when Kyub attacked him, yet Mirio simply disappeared into the ground, popping behind the large man.
Kyub sensed his presence, turning around, his fist flying through the air, but simply passed through him. Mirio spinned in the air, gathering momentum and delivering a vicious kicked to Kyub's head, the strength behind that strike landing the villain on his knee.
"Whew." He breathed out, taking another deep breath, phasing into the ground again, quickly rising underneath Kyub, delivering a rocketing uppercut to his head. "I would hope we didn't have to meet like this, Class 1-A!" Mirio directed his attention towards the students. "My name is Mirio Togata! Third Year in U.A.! Pleased to meet you, my precious first years!" He introduced himself, sinking into the earth again.
"What kinda pervert is this Hero?!" Entropy exclaimed, shocked at such a display, before being knocked out by an uppercut to her head from Mirio.
He landed on his feet, as Kyub rushed at him from behind, his punch phasing through Mirio once again. Mirio simply casually walked forward, delivering one punch to his gut, and a second to his solar plexus, striking an extravagant and heroic pose, giving the Class 1-A the image of a true Hero.
"POWER!" He bellowed out, as the two villains fell down unconscious.
But just as quickly, Mirio grabbed one of the villains' cloaks, using it to cover himself, showing that he still has a sense of modesty.
"Togata-kun!"
"Just call me Mirio, please." Mirio humbly said to Tenya.
"Mirio Togata-kun!" Tenya corrected himself. "Thank goodness you are here!" He sounded relieved "What's the situation? Is everyone okay?"
"Iida, right?" Mirio said. "The situation became better, if only a little. The heroes found an opening, thanks to All Might's entrance onto the scene. Sir Nighteye ordered me to go into the stadium, and find civilians."
"You found any?" Hitoshi asked Mirio, getting right to the point.
"This is the last area I scouted," Mirio replied. "I have a license, so I am allowed to engage against the villains, but you aren't. Fortunately, you can be excused with self-defense, but your allies who went to look for civilians just now probably won't get off as easy."
"Mirio… are you going to tell the faculty?" Hitoshi asked, nervous, especially since he was effectively the ringleader of the whole operation.
"Nah, not my style," Mirio casually replied. "You did what any hero would. It can be our secret." The students felt relief and a weight lift off their shoulders hearing Mirio's words
"Wait, Momo!" Hitoshi said, realizing they were still separating from Team B.
"Don't worry," Mirio said. "I have allies in these stadium halls. Any other villains are sure to already be down, and your friends are alright."
"Well." Outside, Kurogiri stood, still in his spot. He hadn't moved an inch, not even a finger, the only thing that moved was his Warping Gate mist, craters and holes scattered around the surroundings caused by All Might's redirected attacks. "You didn't heed my words, but I suppose you're lucky I had orders not to kill anyone, but you didn't know that did you? You tested your luck."
"I admit…" All Might was panting, sweat down his brow "I didn't expect your reaction speed to keep up with mine."
"Ah, you're wrong," Kurogiri said. "I didn't need to keep up with you, you just got slower." That realization hit All Might like a freight train, realizing he overexerted himself with that one-hit kill on Dolphin. "Are you tired, Symbol of Peace?"
Before he could reply, Mirko leaped onto the scene, but she was transported through a gate, kicking the earth behind Kurogiri, where she was sent. "What's with this bartender?" Mirko asked, her smile unwavering. "You havin' trouble, All Might?"
"Another troublesome Hero." Kurogiri said. "Do you not realize we have hostages?"
As he said that, the chainsaw Nomu's head was decapitated clean off, before being diced into chunks, killing it instantly. "Or not," Hawks sarcastically said, landing on the scene as well. "I was nearby, and had to jump in when I saw the news."
"Hawks, Mirko," All Might said, his smile seemingly widening. "It's good to see you here. Apologies for the Festival being cut short."
"Hey, it's not your fault," Mirko said, lightly tapping her foot on the ground "It's these villain bastards, innit? All your allies have been neutralized, bartender." It was true. While Kurogiri held All Might at bay, the other villains were either killed or apprehended by the heroes, and miraculously, no lives were lost. Some were injured, but that was peanuts compared to what could have happened.
Endeavor landed on the stage as well, staring down Spider "So, is this the leader? The so-called Boss they yamper about?" He directed these questions at Kurogiri.
"The Number One, Two and Three, all in one spot? What a predicament I am in." One could sense an attempt at sarcasm in Kurogiri's voice.
"No, you aren't," Endeavor said, as Spider and Ricochet attempted to run for it, before being stopped by two Pro Heroes, Crust and Sir Nighteye, restraining them with ease. "The Boss sounds more careful than this. To reveal himself center stage is too risky and foolish. You're an underling, but a valuable asset. That Warping Quirk, it's an especially rare kind of Quirk, to be able to warp in so many villains on such a large scale."
"Are you trying to analyze the situation, Endeavor?" Kurogiri asked, though clearly not sincere.
"Stop messing around now." Endeavor's flames grew in intensity, making his impatience clear as day. "What is your goal?"
Kurogiri looked around, seeing the four Pros were ready to attack him at a moment's notice, without hesitation, perhaps even killing "Our goal…" He took a moment to himself, his gaze focusing on the injured Katsuki, whose arms were still injured and unable to move, and Shoto, who simply stood in place the entire time, not taking any risks
"Our goal was your son, Endeavor." As he said that, a gate appeared beneath Shoto, falling into it
"Shoto?!" Endeavor exclaimed as his son vanished.
"Our goal was Katsuki Bakugo." And then Katsuki vanished as well, as if swallowed by the earth
"Young Bakugo!"
"Or maybe… Ah, yes." He raised both hands up, the first movement he performed since he appeared, a gesture on his empty face, one familiar to All Might, Kurogiri's "thumbs" pulling against his "cheeks", in a manner reminiscent of forcing a smile. "We were merely here to toy with this society of fakes."
The four Heroes struck, the ground shaking and shattering as they leaped forth, each intending on attacking Kurogiri with a physical attack, one that wouldn't harm the others, their only target being the shadowy bartender. Mirko leaped and spun in the air, delivering a straight kick, All Might cocked his arm back in another of his famous air shattering punches, Endeavor's fist was cloaked in his Hellflame, and Hawks wielded a large feather as a sword, intending on going right for the kill.
However, Kurogiri merely redirected each and every Hero, surrounding himself in his black gates of mist. Their entire body being sent in the opposite direction, their backs now facing Kurogiri, who stood in his impenetrable "warping gate fortress"
"All Might." Kurogiri said "You are fortunate, that Tomura is feeling merciful. The operation was a success." He said, as he spat out Shoto and Katsuki out of two warping gates, the boys appearing shocked and panicked. "Do as you wish with these failures, they were the recruits most lacking." He referred to the other villains, walking back into one of his warp gates, vanishing, and with him, the "threat" did as well.
"All for One…" Nezu clenched his fist, staring at the monitor with Sound Only plastered on it. "Whatever you or your student may be planning, we won't lose to you."
"I know," All for One bluntly replied "But neither will I lose to you." The Nomu collapsed on its knees, static and smoke beginning to rise from its body, as it bursted into flames, its purpose seemingly over.
The smell of burning flesh was suffocating, Nezu thought, simply foul.
