"Jesus, at this rate I'm going to be left in here alone with the Wentworth Wives" Doreen pouted playfully after hearing both Maxine and Boomer's news. Bea scoffed at the comment and flicked her middle finger at her aboriginal friend.
"No one likes playing third wheel" Doreen laughed.
"Oh Dorr's you'll never be a third wheel to us" Allie grinned. "Just remember one thing... if the cell is a rocking, don't come a knocking" Allie winked as her friends laughed.
"This is amazing" Boomer grinned. "By the time Rugrat arrives we will both be in the outside world... God I wish I could drink to celebrate"
"So you will be living with Frankie then?" Liz asked almost sadly, she was happy for her two friends, but the thought of them living it up in a big house, surrounded by loving people whilst she festered in a bedsit full of feral arseholes and creeps, saddened her.
"Yeah, just until we get our shit together and get a place of our own" Boomer grinned, when Maxine had returned from her meeting with Frankie, she had filled the other women in on her news and discussed all the possibilities for the two women and their unborn child.
"You know Liz, my house is still on the market... I could call my real estate agent and have it taken down and you could move in there. It probably needs decorating and stuff. And will probably need new furniture at some point but it will be liveable, and would be a damn site better than a bedsit. You're welcome to stay there as long as you would need" Bea mused, smiling at the shock on Liz's face at her suggestion.
"You would let me stay there? Are you sure Bea?" Liz asked, barely believing what Bea was offering her.
"Of course,... I mean, I do kind of owe you for wrecking your last parole" Bea smiled apologetically.
"That's all in the past, love. But are you sure? I appreciate the offer but it is your family home... are you sure you would be ok with someone you know living there" Liz asked, still in shock at the turn of event's.
"It was just... it's just a house made of bricks and mortar. I would be honoured if you moved in, perhaps you can have a chat to your two kids too, see if they would want to stay, or at the very least make the two other rooms up for them so they can visit whenever they want and feel welcome" Bea offered, surprised when Liz jumped on her and hugged her tightly.
"You are the best person ever Bea Smith" Liz grinned as she kissed Bea's forehead.
"See... finally people are starting to realise I have been right all along when I said how incredible she is" Allie grinned, watching Liz's antics.
"Oh hush you" Bea laughed with a blush.
"I'm going to go call Frankie right now and let her know to change the paperwork" Liz grinned as she jumped up with more energy than she had felt for decades and skipped towards the phones.
"I think you've just made her day babe" Allie grinned as she began massaging Bea's scalp, allowing the dark red curls to slide through her fingers.
"I just hope she's able to make more happy memories in that house than Harry and I ever could" Bea thought out loud with a sad smile, glancing towards Allie when she realised what she had said to make sure the other woman wasn't offended, she relaxed when she saw nothing but a sadness in Allie's eyes and a sympathetic smile.
"One day, Bea Smith, we are going to have a beautiful house that's full of love and happiness and we will spend every single day making happy memories in it and hanging pictures of our friends and family on the wall" Allie smiled fully at Bea, hoping that her dream would materialize one day.
"Do you see what your leaving me with!" Doreen pouted, screeching as a magazine hit her square in the chest. "What the hell was that for" Doreen glared playfully at Bea.
"For making out that being stuck with Allie and me is anything less than a blessing for you" Bea laughed.
"Don't worry Dorr's when Maxi and I get our place sorted, there will be a room for you and Joshie" Boomer promised. "And I swear there will be no mushy vagatarian crap that will make you want to spew" Boomer laughed as Allie glared at her and Bea pouted.
"You sure you're ok with this?" Frankie asked later that night as she and Bridget were signing the paperwork to confirm that Boomer and Maxine would be moving in with them upon their release.
"Why wouldn't I be baby?" Bridget questioned as she wrapped an arm around Frankie's shoulders and signed the paperwork with her spare hand.
"Oh I don't know... because a year ago you had this place all to yourself and now all of a sudden you will have three inmates and a baby under your roof" Frankie stated with a nervous smile.
"Firstly it's 'our' roof, secondly you're an ex inmate and by the time they move in here they will be ex inmate's too, and thirdly they are part of your family and they need help getting back on their feet, I would do the same for either of my brother's if they needed a place to stay until they got sorted, what's the difference?" Bridget kissed the top of Frankie's head lovingly.
"You know... I really lucked out with you" Frankie grinned as she leaned her head back and stared at Bridget, awaiting her lips impatiently.
"Yeah you're right, you did luck out" Bridget laughed softly as she pecked Frankie's lips and ruffled her hair lovingly.
"I mean it Gidge, you're amazing. Most people wouldn't even consider doing this... but you're just so blasé about it, like it's a given that we should do it. You're incredible and so loving and kind, so generous and you have such a big beautiful heart" Frankie cooed proudly.
"Don't stop there, keep going" Bridget laughed, wrapping her other arm around Frankie's shoulders and pulling the brunette closer to her.
"Did I mention that you're sexy as hell?" Frankie smirked.
"You know, I don't think you did" Bridget grinned sexily.
"Well you're sexy as hell, and I don't just mean it in a 'shit you're hot' kind of way, I mean it in a 'holy shit you're a fucking Goddess' kind of way, I mean totally hot, so gorgeous, and beautiful. And you know what the best part is?" Frankie asked softly as Bridget raised her eyes questioningly.
"You're going to make an even hotter wife. Like totally hot... like I'm going to be walking into a room and people are just going to be staring and thinking 'Holy shit, look at this chick with the hot wife' and I will just be smirking because they will be totally right" Frankie swooned.
Their conversation was interrupted by Frankie's mobile ringing, with a roll of the eyes and a frustrated sigh, Frankie moved to her phone and answered it after seeing Mike, one of the guys who worked in her department, was the caller, and knowing it could be an important call about work one of their many cases.
"Mike, what's up?" Frankie asked warmly.
"Not much, I just had an interesting conversation with a Uni buddy of mine and thought you would want to know about it" Mike answered, the sound of alcohol in his voice.
"Ok... what was so interesting about your buddy?" Frankie asked confused, but knew for Mike to be bringing it to her, especially at this time of night, it must be important.
"Well he works for the governments legal office, his boss has just been handed a case and he was telling me about it as it's a juicy one, and he is really excited, but frustrated as he has been asked to do all the research and preparation work on it, but he's struggling to uncover all the information he needs" Mike explained.
"Ok, I need more details than that, what case?" Frankie asked in frustration.
"Prosecution of Joan Ferguson" Mike answered with an evident smirk into the phone.
"You are shitting me... so you're telling me that your buddy works with one of the lawyers working on The Freak's prosecution?" Frankie asked in surprise.
"Yep, that's right. When he told me about it, I explained that I was aware of the name as it has popped up in some of the cases I have been working on, but due to a disclaimer I signed upon employment, I couldn't discuss the case with him. He asked if my boss would be interested in getting together with him and his boss so that you could fill each other in, I told him that I would speak to you and see what I could do... but I'm guessing that you would be interested in setting it up?" Mike smiled knowingly.
"Mike, I could bloody well kiss you right now. Do you realise what you have just done? Ferguson is a key player in several of the cases we are working on, with her conviction, we can push several cases further forward and potentially get charges dropped, sentences reduced and mostly, keep that psycho bitch off the streets and away from hurting anyone else... this is amazing!" Frankie couldn't believe how lucky she felt right now to have this opportunity being handed to her.
"I thought you would be happy about it, so tell me, what do you want me to do about it, do you want me to set things up or do you want me to give you the contact details so that you can handle it yourself, I know you're a bit protective over case's from Wentworth" Mike laughed softly at the office joke of all Wentworth cases being like her child, and to be protected at any cost.
"No Mike, I want you involved in this, you're the reason this is happening, you set it up... Just look at my diary first to make sure you plan it in for a blank spot. The sooner the better... and I want you there with me working on this, good work Mike" Frankie grinned proudly before hanging up.
"Good news?" Bridget asked as Frankie returned to the table at straddled the blondes lap with a huge smile on her face.
"Oh just Mike, one of my rock stars... has a contact who is working on prosecuting Fergusson and has hooked them onto his fishing line with a promise of intel to help their case, they want to meet with me to swap stories about The Freak. Not only will I get to help directly lock that bitch up for good, but it will provide me with insider information which I could use for Bea's case, as well as Doreen's case. I can't tell you how big a break this could be for us" Frankie grinned happily.
"Baby, that's fantastic! And you know if you need any help then I'm sure Vera will be happy to help" Bridget smirked knowing that Vera would go above and beyond to put away her former employer.
