Frankie entered her office on Monday morning and smiled at her colleagues before breezing into her solo office and dropping herself into her chair, firing up her computer she logged into the system and brought up her emails. Filing several emails as she quickly read through them she came to one from Jim, the lawyer who was gunning for Ferguson and who had been responsible for locking Bea Smith up. With butterflies she opened the email and smiled as she saw the dozen or so attachments. Quickly reading the body of the email which simply read 'Miss Doyle, Please find attached the notes requested regarding the Bea Smith trial, Kind Regards Jim Brown'.
Quickly moving the attachments onto a flash drive she began to open them up, her mouth spreading into a big smile as she read over the prosecutors notes on the trial. There was a wealth of information regarding the investigation into Jacs Holts murder and Braydon Holt's murder. Investigation notes, CCTV footage, officers' reports from the crime scene, it was all there for her to read through and use anything she could find to her advantage.
Removing the flash drive from her computer she stashed it back in her pocket and commenced trailing through the remainder of her email's half-heartedly. She couldn't wait to clear the back log and finish her daily tasks so she could set to going through all the new information she had just been provided with.
It was several hours later when Frankie finally stopped working to take a break. She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes as she let out a deep breath. It had been a long gruelling day and she was exhausted already and there was still half of her shift to go.
Picking up her phone from the desk she dropped a quick message to Bridget before returning to her computer, locking it and making her way out for a sandwich.

"So Bea, how are you feeling?" Bridget asked as she dropped into the chair opposite Bea's with a smile.
"Yeah I'm good, I really can't complain other than about being in this place" Bea smiled back.
"Excellent. Have you had anymore memories?" Bridget said sympathetically.
"A few. I remembered some things about Jacs Holt... I remember having to phone Harry to warn him that Debbie had been to the prison and had been strip searched. I ran to the phone and begged one of the women to let me take her place and Jacs told the woman to give me the phone. Afterwards she approached me and told me my street address, I remember turning to her in shock and she told me this story about some girl getting run over, hinting that it would be Debbie next"
"Right well let's get your time line out and let's get that added" Bridget smiled softly. Bea grabbed the wadded-up paper and unravelled it, pinching Bridget's pen that was offered to her as she found the right spot and added the memory onto the timeline.
"How do you feel after this memory?" Bridget asked after she had taken the proffered pen back from the convict.
"I feel angry. I mean this woman threatened my little girl and there was nothing I could do to protect her, I should have been able to do something. She threatened her again when she made me do her hair, said something about how it could have been Debbie that was being a drug mule. It was after this woman had her daughter bring heroine in inside her, and she OD'ed in the visiting room. I should have known then that she was going to do something and I didn't do anything to stop her" Bea was now sat forward in her chair, her head in her hands and her fingers twitching nervously against her scalp.
"Bea your hands were tied, there's nothing you could have done from inside prison to protect her" Bridget advised softly as she inspected the other woman carefully.
"I warned her... Debbie... I begged her to not go out on her own but she was stubborn, said that she couldn't live her life inside the house... if she had just listened to me maybe she would still be alive right now" Bea sobbed.
"Perhaps, but there is also the possibility that Jacs would have found another way to get to her. I think what you need to keep in mind is that Debbie wasn't in pain, she didn't suffer" Bridget said but knew her words were feeble.
"Maybe she didn't suffer but I did, twice... once when it actually happened and once when snippets of it came back to me after my amnesia" Bea admitted sadly, her heart breaking as flashes of memories of Debbie's death jumped into her mind.
"No mother should have to live through losing her child, not only once but twice. Its normal for you to feel angry and sad and frustrated and heartbroken. All of these things that your feeling are normal and justifiable. Allow yourself to feel these things, embrace them even, only in accepting these feelings will you be able to process them and move on, not forget, but move on" Bridget implored, her own heart breaking at the pain etched on Bea's face.
"Why did she have to die?" Bea sobbed, her face crumbling as large tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Come here" Bridget soothed as she rose from her chair and approached Bea carefully before enveloping her in tight embrace.
"She was so young you know? She had so much potential, she should have been going to parties and meeting boys, going out with her mates, going to tafe or uni and planning a career, planning a family and she's just... gone" Bea cried openly.
"I know Bea, I know. And it truly is horrible. I'm so so sorry" Bridget cooed as she rocked Bea back and forth, her hands stroking the brunette curls as Bea's body hitched with each sob.
"I think we will call it a day, we've made some good progress today and I think you need to go back to your unit and take some time for yourself, be kind to yourself" Bridget said when Bea eventually settled, her sobs minimising.
The second Bea entered the unit the women knew she was upset, she made a beeline for her cell, ignoring the other women as they called out for her. Allie jumped from her seat and followed her girlfriend, watching her from the doorway as she put away her timeline paperwork away.
"you ok babe?" Allie asked softly once Bea stood up straight.
"Yeah" Bea sighed.
"Come on Bea, no ones buying that" Allie smiled softly as Bea glanced at her questioningly.
"Just a tough session, I will be right in a little bit" Bea offered a sad smile.
"Come here, let me make things a little better for you" Allie said opening her arms, smiling softly when Bea practically fell into the embrace. She wrapped her arms tightly around her, one arm around her waist and the other stroking her hair soothingly.
"I love you Alliecat" Bea sighed deeply as she inhaled Allie's unique scent.
