Arendelle. Past Midnight.

After the traumatic event was dealt with, it was miracle that everyone was safe by the assault of the demon. The current Queen of Arendelle, Anna, urge everyone to go back to their homes and get some rest while they deal with serious matters at hand.

However, the citizens are still scared that the demon might come any moment and end their lives.

"Please everyone, you can go back to your respective houses. I'll make sure that guards are patrolling the area and keeping you safe at all times. I promise to do something about our situation.", were the words of the reigning queen while holding the hands of the future king, Kristoff Borjman, tightly.

Unfortunately, her words did not assure the citizens of Arendelle. They are still in shock. They are in a state of paranoia and fear. No one could blame them, they are afraid for their lives. One time, they were just sleeping and enjoying the peace in the kingdom, and then, with a blink of an eye, everything went upside down. Hope is lost in their eyes. If they could just run away from that terrifying being tonight, they will absolutely keep running forever.

"Everyone lis-", Kristoff tried to get their attention but to no use.

"We are gonna di-", said by a young lady.

"Our lives are done for", said by another citizen.

"We can't do anything... The guards won't be to do any-."

"Please everyone, keep calm.", plead by the queen's official guard, General Mattias.

"Everyone... Hiii...list-. I don't think everyone is listening", the little snowman said out loud while waving his hands high up in the air and jumping in the process hoping for attention.

"What are we gonna do? The children must-"

"The children will be saf-", Anna replied but was immediately cut off by another.

"I still want my life, there still a bunch of things I want to do..."

Everyone was saying a bunch of things. The words of the queen didn't reach them. Murmurs can be heard everywhere. All sorts of negativity were in the air. It would take something big for everyone to snap out of their thoughts which didn't take long enough when a light rain of snow in middle of summer were falling from the skies indicating the presence of the former queen of Arendelle.

"Its snowing but it's still sum-", a citizen realize this as the snow landed on his hand, and was distracted by the sudden event.

The beautiful blonde woman in a bright white dress lightly stomped her foot. A huge glowing snowflake in the area got their attention from where the citizens are currently standing. The people were awed with the amazing phenomena and with the woman at the center of the snowflake, they immediately remembered and shifted their gazes to the person who can do such thing, the fifth elemental spirit, Elsa.

"Everyone listen. I know you are all afraid", the fifth spirit started, taking a deep breath of air.

"I am too. But I have to be strong, I have the duty to protect them. I don't know what we are facing right now. This was not the same as the time in the enchanted forest. This is different. Its dark and dangerous that just by thinking about it sends shivers down my spine." Elsa thought to herself.

The former Queen clenched her fists hardly to stop them from shaking, that her pale hands have become slightly red from the gesture.

"But trust me when I say this, Arendelle is my home, everyone here is like a family to me. Something very dear to me. I won't let anything bad happen to each and everyone of you. You are very special to me. I won't forgive anyone who tries to harm or even threathen my home. So please, calm yourselves and rest assurred. We're gonna do everything we can.", Elsa managed to get her words out of her mouth.

Everyone was slightly moved from the words of the fifth elemental spirit and seemed to believe it. For a moment, they felt relieved and safe. The current Queen of Arendelle, Anna, couldn't be any happier by having a magical sister to her side. She was very proud of her dearest sister. Anna just made a huge and wide smile while looking at her. Just as Anna was there for Elsa during the great thaw and saving her from being frozen in Ahtohallan, Elsa was also there for her. Their relationship symbolizes a sturdy bridge that supports each other at opposite ends.

One by one, the citizens went to their respective homes to get some rest. Although they were still people who were a little hesitant, they still agreed and trusted the words of the queen. Gradually, all was left were the people in the street were the ones that got their houses destroyed. The Queen of Arendelle watched the people in dismay and thought of an idea for the remaining citizens.

"Kai, lead them to the guest chambers of the castle. They will stay there temporarily and as long as needed. Provide them with food, water and other necessities.", the Queen said to the royal servant.

"Most certainly, your majesty.", Kai replied and made a slight bow to the queen.

"Please follow me.", Kai said politely to the remaining citizens in which they agreed and immediately followed the royal servant.

As everyone was settled in their homes. Its time for the rest of the royal family to go back to their castle. The trolls that came from the valley of the living rocks followed and just stayed outside of the castle mimicking as rocks at the side.

Pabbie and a certain familiar troll, Bulda, followed the royal family inside the castle. They are aware that they have so many questions about what just happened tonight. Why a dark being just appeared out of nowhere and started feeding on people's lives and to eliminate all of them.

They settled on a huge table with hot chocolates served by one of the mades of the castle. Elsa and Anna sat side by side at one end of the table while taking small sips of their favorite drink. The rest of the company sat on the vacant chairs available except for Olaf who's riding Sven and complimenting him with his supposed human voice.

"Its great that we are alive from all that, right Sven?" Olaf asked while laying down on top of him and feeding him his favorite carrots. Olaf continued ranting in the dead silence of the table with his new found knowledge and giving everyone trivias just like when they were on a long journey to find the enchanted forest.

"Did you know that there are beings not from this world? Did you know that they can float in the skies? Did you know that they are really scary? Did you know tha-" he was immediately interrupted by Sven.

"Did you know that we almost died a while ago?", Kristoff replied in Sven's voice.

"Yeah, almost though. Almost.. hahaha" Olaf said and made a little laugh in the end.

Elsa just pressed her temple with her fingers with closed eyes as if as she had a headache. She's really gonna have a headache from all the banters and supposed to be new found knowledge just thrown in the air by a certain snowman. Its gonna be a long night for them.

"Ahem, now we are all alone. We shou-", Anna coughed to have their attention and didn't fail. Everyone was now quiet once again ready to discuss the serious matter at hand. The Queen of Arendelle have so many questions at the back of her head yet she can't just seem to say it out loud.

"What was that thing Pabbie? Why did he try to destroy Arendelle?" Elsa break her to it.

As usual Pabbie used his magic to give everyone in the room a visualization on what he knows. Making a circular motion with his hands, glowing with purple and light blue with each movement, then, spreading them widely. Images appeared in the air of the so called being they faced back then. It showed its scary figure, darkness as its clothing, huge close and terrifying eyes.

"The thing that we faced today is very dangerous. His name is Armad, demon of the Apocalypse.", the elder troll started talking.

An image of a the dark being appeared just like what they saw earlier. Everything about him is just dark and menacing.

"He is from another world called Altera. Its a place like ours but completely opposite. From what I know, that world is shrouded with darkness. Demons live there. Its impossible to transverse between worlds but somehow Armad did it. Now he wants to take control of this world and wants to consume everything in his way. With him in the loose, he keeps getting stronger as time passes, sucking the life force of every living creatures of our world.", Pabbie continued as he keeps showing images of the demon and the world of Altera.

"He feeds on the life force of living creatures in the world and amplifies his powers. His existence alone can bring terror and fear to anything. He was once defeated and sealed almost three centuries ago. The seal wear off after that span of time. I don't know if he was in Arendelle for a reason or not but the fact that he emerge again in this world can cause deaths of many or worse cause this world not to exist at all. He is that evil and dangerous. If he ever comes back here, we are really doomed.", Bulda, the accompanied troll, exclaimed to everyone in the room.

The people in the room were in shock by what Bulda said. They can't believe what they are hearing. Elsa understood that statement more than anyone in the room when her attacks earlier didn't seem to faze the demon at all. Even when she is stronger now, with the power as the fifth spirit, the earlier battle proved that he can't take on such enemy. Hope seems lost to the royal family. Hearing those stories about the dark being, its just impossible for them to handle.

With the information they learned from the trolls, they are nowhere near recovering. Anna is getting anxious by each passing second in the room. They are lost, struggling to have counter measures.

On the other hand, the fifth spirit was losing her mind. She keeps on thinking about what will happen to them. For tomorrow.

"How are we gonna live tomorrow knowing that we will die at the hands of a terrifying being? What will happen to us? To Arendelle? The enchanted forest I'm supposed to be protecting." Elsa keep racking her mind up.

"The demon keep saying that everything is futile. It seems like his right. No, Anna, stop thinking about it. There must be something we could do", the Queen snapped out her inital thoughts.

Anna gave up thinking and notice tears started to form at the corner of her sister's eyes. She tried to reach for her sister to console her that everything would be alright but she herself don't know what to do. She just put her hands on the back of her sister, making an assuring gesture. Elsa noticed this and immediately stopped the tears from rolling down her eyes with her sleeves.

"Thank you Anna, I really needed that." Elsa said to her sister.

"Anytime sis, we'll always have each other's back. Everything will worked out, I promise." Anna replied which calmed her sister down a little.

Kristoff sitting at the other edge of the table just watching the sisterly display, clenched his fists above her knees hidden under the table. He never felt so powerless. He can't do anything.

"So much for being the future king, yet I can't even protect my family. My home. If there is just something... something... I could.. Wait a minute...thats it..." Kristoff mentally thought and discovered something.

"Bulda, you said a while ago that the demon was once sealed right?" Kristoff asked his realization.

"I might have.", Bulda just simply replied.

"So who did it and how did he or she sealed that demon?", Kristoff continued.

Everyone was ecstatic with Kristoff's thinking except for the elder troll. Surely bulda said that part. They didn't even thought about that except when Kristoff said it.

A new light was discovered and a rising hope was beginning to take form. Its a huge news if they knew someone on their side could par the powers of that demon or at least they know that they can stop him.

"Do you know that person, Pabbie?", Anna asked Pabbie with eyes full of hope.

Everyone focused their attention to the troll. Desperately waiting for an answer to come out from his mouth. The troll kept his eyes shut contemplating if he should tell them. After organizing his thoughts, eyes no longer shut and his mouth were starting to say some words. Magical vjsualizations appeared again in the air when Pabbie was starting to talk.

"Yes your majesty, as a matter of fact I do. I met him when I was just a little troll. He once saved me out of trouble and I owe him my life.", Pabbie said truthfully. Image of a young troll appeared saved by a human figure, wearing a hooded cloak that kept his face hidden from public, from a bunch of hunters.

"Wait a minute, just to clarify. This was 300 years ago, right?", Anna asked the elder troll.

"Yes, your majesty. Trolls fortunately have a very long lifespan compared to humans."

"You've been living for three centuries, I didn't know that.", claimed by Kristoff.

"How come you didn't know that? You've been living with them before we even met.", Anna asked her fiance with a hint of shock.

"I just... didn't..know..haha", Kristoff smiled weakly and doing an i don't know gesture, eyes not facing the woman.

"Hmm, that is interesting, gotta include that in my discoveries.", a snarky comment made by a talking little snowman in the corner of the room.

"So that person that saved you was the one who defeated Armad?", Elsa questioned the elder troll to keep the conversation on track.

"Yes, their fight lasted for several hours, with the help of some of his companions. It was a bloody battle. A kind you don't wanna take part in nor see. They manage to defeat him but didn't do it fully. They were not able to fully eliminate the traces of the demon. Magic in this world almost does nothing to them. Demons has specific witness, their hearts", Pabbie exclaimed.

"What about their hearts?" Anna asked with curiosity.

"Its what keeping them alive, even if you cut off their limbs, it will immediately grow back as if nothing happened. If you can destroy it, that would have ended that being. However, a demon's heart can't be destroyed that easily. Back then, they didn't have leisure to finish the demon off. Because of the demon's magic, the world was about the end. The people were enclosed in demonic crystals. I didn't know how he got rid of the demon's magic crystals. Thats why the man who saved me sealed him instead. However, the seal only lasted for 300 years and thats when we are now", Pabbie replies nonchalantly.

"At least now, we have a lead that the demon can be stopped.", Kristoff said possibly but not thinking too straight.

"Kristoff, this happened 300 years ago. Surely, the person that defeated the demon is now gone or at least died already of old age.", Anna explaining to Kristoff and setting him straight.

"Oh...right, probably.", Kristoff being sad about the realization.

"So this person you're talking about? Is he magical or does he possess some special skills?" Elsa asked with a serious tone.

"You won't be able to imagine his powers, your majesty. He once told me some of his life stories. The moment he was born, he was loved by mana. Mana is the energy from the nature. Its also the very reason why we can use magic in the first place. You, your majesty, got your powers from the river of memories, Ahtohallan, but I suspect that another reason for you to have such powers because you are loved by mana. You can create beautiful things." Pabbie narrated to the people in the room.

"If he possess such powers, could there be any descendants that inherited his powers? Like great great grandsons or grand daughters?", Anna asking out of desperation and the platinum blonde woman just listening intently.

"I'm afraid he doesn't, your majesty. He disappeared right after he sealed him. No trace of him was found. He was just around Elsa's age and living his life when he fought the demon, Armad. However, I think he's... still here...existing in this era. However, I'm not entirely sure. I think he is still alive", Pabbie blurted.

A glimpse of chance appeared once again to the royal family when Pabbie said he's still alive.

"Why can you say that, Pabbie?" Kristoff asked the elder troll.

Without much of a delay, Pabbie grabbed a little object from his side. Something was on his close hand. Immediately, he settled his arm forward. The others sitting on the side chairs also leaned forward. Pabbie placed what he had grabbed earlier and revealed a transparent small trinket bottle. He placed the battle at the center of people. The bottle has a small black-blue flame inside of it.

"Woah! What is it? It looks so dark... yet so calm. I wanna touch it.", Olaf said in a sarcastic whisper, mouth open with amazement.

"Not now, Olaf", Elsa replied.

"Okay, maybe later, it's so cuteeee", Olaf replied with an excited voice not giving up on his intention just like a little kid.

"What is it, Pabbie?" Elsa asked again ignoring Olaf's earlier comments.

"It's his magic. At least, a little portion of it.", Pabbie replied.

"What does that have to do with him?" Kristoff asked without any clue.

Both sisters realize what this mean. They experienced the very same thing with Olaf. When Elsa went to Ahtohallan to search the truth about the past and got frozen in the process, she was dead for a short while. In result, the magic that makes Olaf alive ceased to exist because the caster was already gone, in this case, Elsa was gone. In other words, because a little portion of the black-blue flame is still burning, it signifies its owner is still alive.

"You know what this means, right your majesties?" Pabbie asked both of them.

The fifth spirit and the Queen of Arendelle just nodded in response with Pabbie's question. It was almost rhetorical. The blonde guy in the other side of the table has still no clue with what's going on.

The two sisters rejoice with the news they got. Hope is not lost at all. They still have a chance to defeat the demon that's terrorizing their world.

"So he is still alive?", Kristoff finally caught up with the situation.

"Perhaps, he still is. If he is still the man I knew, he is quite a stubborn one and tough guy to bring down. He never gives up even when the situation tells him to.", Pabbie answered with a proud tone.

"You must have adore this guy to make you talk like that.", Anna declared to the people in the room.

"Yes, your majesty. After all, he was the one who saved me." Pabbie replying with a huge grin.

"Do you have any idea where we can find him, Pabbie?" , Elsa asked.

"I don't have the slightest clue on where he is right now, your majesty. I'll try my best to find him with my vision.", Pabbie replied to the fifth spirit. Elsa made a little sad face upon hearing that.

"Its okay Elsa, we'll find that guy. We still have a chance to save everyone. To save Arendelle , the Enchanted forest and even the world.", her sister cheering her up.

"You're right, we just have to find him ourselves." Elsa replied with a new found resolve.

"This sounds like a new adventure... I'LL BRING THE SNACKSS!", Olaf shouted in the room and jumping around and riding Sven in the process. His action made the atmosphere of the room a little warmer from all the negative thoughts happened.

"Wait, do we even know the name of the guy we're looking for?" Kristoff just realizing this.

The rest of the people didn't also mind and the name just never came up. They just address him as the person who defeated Armad, or that man...guy.. Didn't even know his name.

"Oh, right." the sisters said almost at the same time.

"How come we didn't ask in the first place?", Elsa said with a little smile appearing on her face.

Pabbie also realized this and made a little laugh for not noticing it earlier. Everyone waited for Pabbie to announce his name. They were a little excited to find this guy that gave them hope to save everyone and learning his name would be a first step in finding him.

"The one who once sealed the demon of the Apocalype was...

His name is... Pabbie continued..

..Grey...

.. Neverfallen...

... A prince of the ancient kingdom of the North, Aether"

"Prince?" Olaf said

"Ancient...Kingdom?, followed by Kristoff

"Aether? Never heard of thaf kingdom before.", the Queen of Arendelle asked.

"It was once a powerful kingdom but because of the war, the existence of the said kingdom became a myth and declared as non-existent." Pabbie explained to the royal family.

"North, huh?" Elsa thinking while holding her chin almost beautifully.

The royal family has to go North again to find this guy who can help them defeat the demon of the apocalypse. It would be a touch challenge to find him because he's been lost and in nowhere for three centuries now. This journey wouldn't be easy. Its not the same as Elsa froze the kingdom or finding the enchanted forest. Their only clue in finding the prince is his name, and to go north, who knows how far north this new adventure will take them.

As the discussion between parties has been brought to a close, the trolls just outside the castle, and the royal family in their respective chambers. Elsa didn't return to the enchanted forest tonight because Arendelle still needs her, in case of unprecedented attack from the demon.

Dressed back into her nightgown, she has withdrawn to her bedroom. However, sleep continues to elude her. She kept thinking on how to find Grey Neverfallen, a prince of the kingdom, Aether. Thinking and pondering on how to find him, even if they find him, what assurance can they have that he will help them. A certain familiar purple scarf covering her shoulders as she gazes in the window.

"Can we even trust him fully? Stop it Elsa! you heard his story from Pabbie, this guy is the only chance you have to save everyone. Your powers are not enough to handle these things.", Elsa exhaled in her thoughts.

A knock in the door can be heard, making a screeching little noise as it opens revealing the presence of a certain long strawberry blonde hair woman.

"Elsa?", Anna approached her.

"Yup, I knew it. You can't sleep, you're wearing mother's scarf.", she continued.

"Yeah, I'm just anxious...what will happen to us...if we ..can't find.. that prince." Elsa answered almost incoherently to the other woman in the room.

"Don't worry, sis. We'll definitely find him. Come on, its not so like you..haha.. We've been through a lot. You freezing me and us finding Ahtohallan. I mean we can do this again. We can protect, Arendelle. Together. Of course, with everyone.", Anna cheering up her dear sister.

"You're right, we can do this.", Elsa answered but anxiety can still be noticed in her eyes.

"Here, I know how to make you feel better", Anna replied and fixing Elsa's scarf protectively and grabbing her hands, leading her to the bed.

"Cuddle close, scooch in." Anna started.

A sense of familiarity dawned upon Elsa and proceeded smilingly as her sister said. Anna stroking her pinky finger to Elsa's face, then to her nose smoothly and started singing.

...Where the north wind meets the sea

There's a river full of memory

Sleep, my darling, safe and sound

For in this river all is found...

As the song went into a close, Anna was yawning lightly and hugging her sister firmly but with a hint of gentleness. Who knows when something happens to one of them or worse, both of them. They have to treasure each passing moments they have together.

That song really has a different effect on them, their mother used to sing this lullaby to put them to sleep when they were kids and even now they will always remember it in their hearts. As the moon outside continued to shine brightly and reach its highest peak, the two sisters succumb to a temporary slumber.

End Notes: What do you guys think? Lemme know in the reviews. Thanks! ^_^
