Bright rays of the sun washes and clears away the the dark skies of the night. Citizens of the kingdom of Arendelle started going out of their respective homes. The situation of the kingdom slightly normalizes but their problems are still evident in their eyes. Properties and houses destroyed from last night's terrifying event. Some stalls and shops being repaired to get back in trades and businesses.
They are very aware of their dire situation right now. Everyone tries to stay strong and trusted the words of their Queen and her sister that they would be safe and be alive still then. They are trying really hard to make the situation seem more normal and that they can still do their work and make a living for their lives and families.
Meanwhile. In the castle of Arendelle.
A certain light strawberry brown hair with strands of her hair braided to the back of her head woke up early in the morning, almost purposely. Contrary to her past states when her sister or maid have to wake her up from being asleep in a unsightly display, fizzy hair that seemed to be uncomb for weeks, heavily drooling in slumber and have to be shaken a few times to wake her up, at least. However, now, it seems that she improved a lot when she became the Queen of Arendelle. Her actions is almost queen-like and more refined just like her sister, but a hint of the usual Anna is still in her. Somethings just never changed is really a fact that can't be proven wrong to this family.
Beside the sitting Queen in the bed is the familiar fifth elemental spirit who became the bridge of nature and man, and also her dearest sister. Her sister is still asleep and the sun is already up which is very unsual of her. She's supposed to be the one who's very up early which is definitely not the case this time.
"She must be pretty exhausted last night that I woke up early than her.", Anna thought to herself while staring concernedly to her sister.
No one could really blame the fifth spirit. She was pretty tired from the fighting last night. After all, who could have thought that a demon would just show up in the Kingdom and declared that he will destroy all of Arendelle. Her powers were very ineffective against the being, theres that. At least, her powers were able to protect a lot of people including her family.
Anna made up her mind and nudge her sister to wake up. She gently shook her and earned some groans from the blonde woman.
" Elsa..Elsa, wake up. Its morning already. The sun is up." , Anna exclaimed.
The fifth spirit groaned from the gesture and her eyes starting to slowly lit up. Her vision is still very blurry from waking up. She was struggling to keep her eyes open because of the bright light from the huge windows of the room. Even when she just woke up, her looks are still breath-taking, whoever shall watch her in this state would immediately fall in love real hard.
"Good morning, Anna. Its morning already, huh?", Elsa said while giving out a queenly yawn and in the midst of putting her hands in her eyes to block the sunlight coming outside the castle.
"Yeah, how are you feeling?", Anna asked her.
"I've been better, actually. I guess the sleep really helped a lot." Elsa replied while still being sleepy. Her sister being anxious of fifth spirit's well-being.
"Don't worry, Elsa. We will get past through this. We always do."
"Yeah, I really hope so."
Anna grabbed her sisters hands assuringly and dragged her away from the bed making Elsa stood up in the process.
"Come on, we've got a lot of stuff to do." Anna said to her.
Elsa just smiled at her sister's positive attitude. Making her smile also from her actions. Anna is one of the people who can immediately lift up her mood, after all, she is her dearest sister.
"Yeah, together. Always." Elsa thought to herself.
They changed their outfits before they went outside the room. Of course, with a little treat from Elsa' magic. She added a little style in their outfits to match their dresses. Anna has now a purple dress patterned with flowers that tightly hugs her body. She looked elegant and more refined as before. Elsa made her dress same as Anna but patterned with white little snowflakes that gradients her body.
The two sisters finally went outside and made a little haste from the scent of chocolate they smile. Laughs can be heard from their mouths as they approach the dining room.
"That smell is really familiar...hmmmm", Elsa said while inhaling deeply the smell.
"Chocolate.", the two sisters said in unison and made a smile as they face each other.
They opened the large doors in the corridor together and the smell of food and, of course, chocolate can be traced back in the table. They were met by the familiar presence of three figures in the room. The little snowman, Olaf, who's playing around the room with his deer buddy, Sven. The blonde guy sitting in the chair laughing at the other two.
"Hi, good morning Elsa. Good morning Anna." Olaf greeted the foreign people in the room which immediately got a reply from the ladies.
Anna approached her fiance and kissed him on the cheek.
"Good morning, honey".
"Hi..good morning to you..." Kristoff made a little blush and replied with a hint of suprise in his tone from Anna's sudden gesture.
'"Isn't she perfect?", Kristoff thought to himself still staring at his future bride. The two glanced deeply in each other's eyes not caring from other people present in the room. They were stopped by fake coughs from a certain fifth spirit.
"A-hem. Ahem.. shall we have our breakfast?", Elsa announced breaking the moment of the two.
"Sorry..haha. Just got carried away." Anna making an awkward laugh to salvage the situation. She then proceeded to sit in the table and so as Kristoff.
The royal family ate their breakfast then proceeded in visiting the town to take a look the state their in. The situation of the town is not that bad as they thought except for the citizen who lost their houses by the demon's attack. With a few repairs, it will go back to their previous state.
The fifth spirit walked around the town to take a look at the damages and help the people. She saw houses destroyed which are beyond repair. Elsa approached nearer the owners of the buildings and with a little smile on her face, she waved her hands and her magic started to take form. Ice particles were present in the air and began to encircle the area in which the buildings were destroyed. Houses, stalls and shops made of crystal clear eyes emerged in front of her. The people rejoiced with the the fifth spirit's gesture.
"This should keep you going for awhile.", Elsa mentally thought.
They made a slight bow to the former Queen representing their respect and gratefulness. With this, they can continue living contently here in Arendelle except for the existence of a demon from another world.
The state of the town became much more better with the help of fifth elemental spirit. The situation seemed a little normal for them as of now. Elsa went to the center of the town and found her sister with her fiance handing out rations to the affected citizens. They barely finished in giving out the rations and saw the fifth spirit approaching them.
"How are they?", Elsa asked her sister.
"Things are better, actually. Everyone is more calm now. I bet your beautiful speech yesterday did it.", Anna replied with a very proud tone.
"Is that so?..Listen, Anna. I have to go back to the enchanted forest now. I've been staying here a little too long. Besides, the Sami people might have some knowledge about the prince we're looking for. I also need to inform them about the danger we're facing right now." Elsa told her sister while holding her hands assuring her that she will be back in no time.
"Okay, I understand, Elsa. As the fifth spirit, the enchanted forest needs you and the people there needs to know whats happening now. You take care there, okay? We'll be fine here, send Gale whenever there's trouble. I love you.", her sister said hugging her sister to bid farewell to each other which then was reprocicated by the fifth spirit.
"I love you too, sis. Take care of her, will you Kristoff? If something happens to her, I'll freeze you." , Elsa said which earned a large gulp from the blonde guy staring at them.
Elsa called for the water spirit, Nokk. The spirit was resting in the fountain in the center of the town. It then emerged to the ground, and Elsa lightly touched the water horse with her hand, immediately she used her ice magic powers to enclose her with ice so that it can strode in the ground. She then leaped and rode Nokk to travel towards her home, the enchanted forest. The fifth spirit said her goodbyes to her family and pulled the ice reins which then the water horse started running.
Nokk ran above the waters towards the enchanted forest. The route is much shorter if they travel by water. After some time, they arrived at their destination. Elsa undoed her magic causing the water horse to dissipate in the waters. She then proceeded to walk where the sami people held their camp. As she walks to the camp, the fifth spirit gazes and looked around to admire the beauty of the enchanted forest. The forest is much more beautiful at this time.
"I hope that demon never finds this place. Even if he does, I'll protect it with my life. I'll protect everyone.", Elsa thought with a sense of responsibility and protectiveness. Just like a mother who would do anything to save their child.
As Elsa keep contemplating, not noticing, she bumped into two familiar faces. A black haired woman with short bangs and braided hair that goes to her back wearing a Northuldra hat, and a black haired guy wearing a Northuldra outfit with his deer. The fifth spirit fell down with the abrupt meeting with Honeymaren and her friend, Ryder.
"Ohh, Hi Elsa. Didn't see you us waving earlier?" Honeymaren asked the fifth spirit and Ryder immediately helped her get up from the ground by extending his hand.
"You must have been in deep thought, huh?", Ryder said.
"Yeah, things are..I have a lot in mi-...really... I can't really say it now... Let's go back to camp, I have something to tell all of you." Elsa replied almost incoherently to the two figures.
"Of course, Elsa. It seems pretty serious. Let's go ba-" the black haired woman said however was interrupted by the approaching pink flames indicating the presence of the little fire spirit.
"Bruni! I missed you. Everything okay little guy?", Elsa said as the small lizard lighted off his flames to leap on her hands. She made some snowflakes rain above the little creature and bruni responded by eating the snowflakes, sticking its tongue out and hitting one of its eyes lightly, almost in a very cute manner.
Elsa seems satisfied with the creature's demeanor and behavior. The fifth spirit and her company proceeded in getting back to Northuldra camp.
"Please gather everyone immediately when we arrive." Elsa said to the two.
"Okay, Elsa.", Honeymaren just replied getting anxious by the direct statements of Elsa.
"What seems to be matter? This seems pretty serious. I have a bad feeling about this." Honeymaren thought to herself.
It wasn't long before whole of Northuldra tribe assembled in the middle of the camp. Everyone seems concerned about the sudden call of the fifth spirit. Elsa in front of them to announce the dire situation they are currently in. She made a deep breath before speaking. This is a very bad news for everyone and she hates it when she's the one who's breaking it to them.
"Everyone...I have.. something.. to tell you." she said while stuttering. Elsa closed her eyes for a moment to compose her thoughts.
"This is a matter of grave danger. There is a new threat that wants to harm us. It doesn't just concern Arendelle or the enchanted forest. Even the other kingdoms will face this grave threat. Many lives are at stake here. The future of the forest..no, that's not right..the future of the world is hanging on a thread", She proclaimed.
This earned gasps from everyone and worry became apparent in their faces.
"What do you mean, Elsa?" a man in front of the crowd asked her. Fear can be seen in his eyes.
"We.. were attacked by a very.. sinister and ..evil being, a demon. He is from the another world called Altera. Pabbie said that its impossible to cross worlds, however, the demon of the apocalypse, Armad, managed to do it. This proves how dangerous and powerful he is. He wants to consume the life forces of every living to make him stronger, then erase us, and take this world." Elsa continued to tell what she knows to the people of Northuldra.
This caused murmurs and panic to the tribe. They have just been living under the clear blue skies for a few months and then another catastrophe befalls them.
"We were able to survive the attack of demon somehow with the help of the trolls. However, dealing with him proves to be difficult. Even my powers as the fifth spirit is ineffective against him. I was blessed by the spirits that no one lost their lives last night.", the fifth spirit narrated.
The people of Northuldra was shocked by what the fifth spirit said. The knowledge of the demon caused more panic to the tribe. The murmurs stopped when they heard huge stomps sounds from the wooden stick of the white haired chieftain.
"Everyone, calmed down.", she declared. "Now is not the time to be in panic, the nature spirits are blessing us with their powers to protect us and this forest."
The chieftain seemed to stop the panic from growing in the tribe.
"What do you intend to do, Elsa? I'm sure thats not the only thing you have in your mind.", she asked the fifth spirit.
"Yes, there's one more thing. This is our only hope to stop the demon of the apocalypse.", Elsa continued.
The tribe was listening more attentively and intenly to the blonde woman.
"Pabbie told me about the existence of an ancient kingdom called Aether. There was a prince who possess the power on par with the demon and stopped him from invading our world. Even that happened centuries ago, there's a possibility that he still alive. However, we have no idea where he is." Elsa said to the tribe.
Silence can be heard in the camp as they think any idea about what the fifth spirit just blurted.
After a few minutes.
"Aether?... Prince?... Ancient kingdom?...hmmmm", Honeymaren continued to think and then she remembered something.
"I might have read one of those from a book.", she said.
"What book?", Elsa asked and urge her to continue.
"It's one of the oldest book that was given to me which was passed down from our preceding ancestors. It tells a story about a handsome prince who possess magical affinities to black-blue flames. He possess other kinds of magic too but he was greatly known for his calming flames. The book stated that he fought an evil being who tried to take over the world. However, he was not able to finish the being because he was feeding in every living creature's life force and negative emotions. In the end, the prince still managed to defeat him by sealing him and sending him back to their original world. However, the magic that he casted to seal the demon also did the same thing to him. For his case, he was enclosed and sealed in hard blue crystals structured that look like flames." Honeymaren narrated to everyone. Elsa listening intently to the woman.
"Do you have any idea on where he was sealed?" Elsa asked her.
"Sadly, no. The books didn't say where he is. However, the kingdom of Aether has what they called a spirit animal. A white bird that highlights its red feathers and two arrow-like bird tails. From what I know, just like the nature spirits, it lives on forever, and can sense anyone related to the royal family of the ancient kingdom. If what you said was true and the prince is still alive, then that bird can find him." Honeymaren answered the fifth spirit.
"A bird that has red strands and arrow-like tails?" Elsa repeated. She has to find this bird in order to find the hooded figure in Pabbies' vision.
"Thank you, Honeymaren. I could really count on you.", she said with a wide smile on her face.
"Your welcome, Elsa. It's what we do. We could use all the help we can get. The world is in danger.", Honeymaren replied.
"Yes, I hope we find him soon before the demon gets back here.", Elsa looking at everyone with a genuine concern on her face.
"We have to find him real fast.", she added in her thoughts.
Few hours later.
After a while, the people of the tribe scattered and eventually got back on their usual work and routine. The beautiful fifth spirit looks tensed and stressed while sipping the tea on her hands. Bruni in her shoulders sleeping peacefully without a care in the world.
"Don't worry, Elsa. We'll find him.", Honeymaren said to her and didn't leave her side.
"Yeah, we wi-" she was then cut off by a familiar siren who lead her to the enchanted forest in the first place. Its been so long when she heard the voice that's calling her.
"Do you hear that?" Elsa asked.
"Hear what?" the woman beside her asked with curiosity.
"Its that voice again. My mother's voice", she replied.
The voice that led her to the enhanted forest and to the source of her powers, the frozen river of memories, Ahtohallan, to begin with, started to call her again. However, the call is not directed to the dark seas and to Ahtohallan. Its coming from the opposite direction, to uphill near the river where the earth giants sleeps.
Elsa followed the voice and Honeymaren following her from behind. The fifth spirit leading the way and eager to know where the voice is taking her. They arrived in the sleeping den of the earth giants, however, they can't see any of the creatures in the river. Usually, they are lazy sleeping by the river.
The fifth spirit kept following the voice and they arrived on where the earth giants are. The huge stone-like creatures are forming a circle to surround something. The two then approached the giants and went inside their circle. However, before they managed to enter it, a blinding light emerges and they ended up covering and closing their eyes from the light.
Elsa managed to keep her eyes slightly open while her hands covering the light, and saw a human-like white form as the source of the light. The white figure has long hair that is weirdly floating and rising in the air. It also has a short pointy ears that goes back to her side creature seems like a creature that Elsa and Anna find familiar. The sisters used these creatures when their playing a short magical story plot when they were kids and made small figurines of them.
"It can't be. Their myths, right? That white figure is just like an elf.", Elsa mentally said to herself.
The event shocked them more when the blinding light disappeared. The white figure morphed into a white bird with red strands of feathers and twin arrow-like tails. They can't believe their luck. Its been here for a long time. The spirit animal of the ancient kingdom. The bird that can help them find the prince.
The bird flaps its wings and ready to take off any seconds now.
"Bless the spirits! Isn't that the bird we're looking for?" Honeymaren said to her companion.
"No, wait please." Elsa approached eagerly and said to the bird, not entirely sure if it can understand her. The bird stared her for a bit distracted by the sudden call of the fifth spirit.
It didn't pay more attention to the people in the scene. It immediately flew up in the air. Elsa being desperate, she tried to enclosed it with an ice cage to avoid the bird from escaping. However, when she captured the bird, the cage broke when the feathered creature bumped into it. This shocked elsa because of how easily her cage broke. With nothing to do, they chased the retreating bird in the air.
The bird flew faster that they anticipated. Elsa using her magical advantage. She used her ice magic to freeze the ground and skate on it. This made her a little faster. She made ice pillars to lift herself up easily from the ground. The fifth spirit was desperate in following the bird to who knows where. Honeymaren resigned with the tag game and stopped, breathing heavily and gasping for air.
On the other hand, Elsa didn't give up as she continues the chase. Even when she's exhausted, she still pushed herself. Her will and resolve can't be defeated with this type of thing.
"I won't stop. I need your help. Please...help me find the.. prince." Elsa screamed in between breaths.
The bird stopped in a branch. It stared at her deeply as if its observing her. Elsa looked back at the bird with determined look. The two just stared and just studied each other.
Later that time.
The bird flew again. This time it flew downhill. If this chase continues, they would have completed taking a tour in the entire enchanted forest. Elsa made the floor out of ice so that she can immediately slide down and keep up with the bird. The chase came to a close when the bird landed on a big rock by the shoreline. Elsa slowly approached the bird. Getting nearer by each step and being careful not to scare it away.
"Dont fly away, please. I really need your help. You are my best chance in finding him.", Elsa said with a pleading tone.
Fate is really on her side. The bird seemed to understand the blonde woman and when the bird transformed again into a white figure. Its sitting on a rock and pointing out across the sea.
"My eyes were not really playing tricks on her. It really transformed." Elsa thought.
"Is that where he is?", she asked.
The white figure just nodded with the question and transformed back to being a bird and flew above the huge waves.
Elsa approached the shoreline. She have to cross the dead sea again. Without time to spare, she called out the water spirit, Nokk, who protects and governs the area.
"Nokk, come here. I need your help." Her call was immediately answered when a certain water horse emerge from under water. She immediately put some ice reins to the spirit and rode it. The horse was striding above the waters. The two spirits followed the bird in the huge waves. These waves poses no problem to the fifth spirit, because Nokk controls the water.
They kept following the spirit animal and a certain blue colored island came to view. After a while, they got a clearer view of the land and realization dawned upon the fifth spirit.
"This route...this place... You've got to be kidding me...
..this place...
..it can't be..
..this very location..
..is..
..its Ahtohallan, right?..."
