Previous Chapter

The fifth spirit was beyond embarassed for such an unqueenly display. Elsa was sitting on top of the strange figure. On top of that, she kissed the unconscious guy lying on the floor. Elsa was relieved that the guy wasn't aware of it.

"Is he even alive?", Elsa then checked his breathing and pulse. She made an exhale when she felt him breathing slowly.

"Way to go for first meetings, Elsa. You don't kiss guys you just met.", she mentally hit her self.

End of Previous Chapter

Elsa's POV

"Owww...that was twice already.", I said when a small crystal fall on top of my head. I also bumped on something hard earlier.

"His lips were so soft. My goodness, Elsa. Stop thinking about it. It was an accident. Nothing more. Nothing Less.", I thought to myself.

I blame the crystals lying around and the smoke in the area. I still can't see clearly yet because of the smoke.

I used my hands to lift myself up a little, when the smoke completely vanished. I backed up a little when I noticed that my face is really close to a complete stranger. Like real close.

I went to the side still sitting down embarrased with my accidental display ealier. Forgetting what happened a while ago. There I kept staring and examining the unconscious fellow in the ground. The guy has a slight spikey white silver hair that almost covers his eyes. There are some black strands of hair in his head on one side, while the other is just white, which I find it really weird.

"Maybe the people of the Kingdom of Aether really has this kind of hairstyle. Its a little funny if you look at it", I said to myself and tried to reach touching his hair in the process. I was very intrigued by it that I intentionally combed my hand through his hair.

I realized this and stopped myself from going further.

"Really, Elsa? You have to stop now." I thought to myself.

He is wearing a wooden string necklace that has metal gold ring as its pendant and a dark suit with white hems highlighting its ends. The ring was beyond beautiful. I never saw anything like it.

"That's strange. I thought for sure he was holding a sword.", Elsa looking around to find it, however couldn't have the slightest hint on where it was.

Elsa was then stopped when he heard the guy infront of him slightly groan as he was just woken from a deep sleep.

Grey's POV

"Hmmm...Uhmmm..." I groaned when I heard something moving around the place. I'm still a little dizzy with happened earlier. My mind is still in disarray and have a hard time focusing into something.

"It's not really fun when you're being sucked in", I thought to myself.

I feel like I'm gonna be sick and throw up any minute now.

I disregarded those thoughts and tried opening my eyes. I still can't get my body to respond. Even with just opening my eyes, I'm struggling to do it.

This must be the result of being unable to move for years. But still, its a refreshing feeling. I've never been in my body for so long, I kinda miss what it feels like to have a physical body.

When I finally manage to open my long closed eyes, I was greeted by a beautiful blonde woman. I just stared deeply into her deep blue eyes.

"Hello...are you okay?", she said with concern. I tried to form my words in my mouth.

"I must ..be..in ..heaven ..already.", I manage to mutter those words with a very low voice but I don't think if she can hear them.

"Heaven? What are you talking about?", I guess she heard me then.

My eyes are only focused on her for a moment. I must have look creepy doing that.

Third Person POV

Elsa had a hard time hearing the words of the man lying in front of him. It was very low and almost inaudible. She became slightly conscious when the man is staring at him deeply, as if he's examiming her entire soul.

"Is he really okay?", those words crossed her mind. Elsa wondered by what he meant with those words.

"What do you mean by you're in heaven?", the fifth spirit asked him.

"Nothing... I was..kidding..", Grey replied still have a hard time speaking.

The guy having more control of his body now and composed himself. He was feeling up his hands, his feet, the ground, and just everything to make sure he's really in his body now, and with his eyes closed.

Grey raised his legs slightly, hands inverted at the sides of his head, and immediately did a kick up to stand up on the ground with the tail of his suit following his motion.

This earned a curious look at first on the blonde woman beside him and then a suprised expression on her very face when the guy infront of him is now standing in upright position.

"woooh... Still got it.", Grey said proudly to himself. He did a light exercise, tilting his head sideways, then reaching way above his head, cracking sounds of his bones can be heard slightly.

"Ahhh...that felt good...", he continued almost forgetting he has company beside him.

"Oh, hi there...miss fifth spirit.", he greeted with a smile while facing the woman in her direction.

Elsa gave a little awkward wave when he was greeted by a stranger in the room. Well, he's not a total stranger.

"Hello...miss fift-... what?", she said incoherently. She was shocked by the fact that this guy infront of him knows she is the fifth spirit.

"How do you know?", Elsa thought but didn't noticed she said it out loud.

"Well, for starters, you're not the only one who could see the memories of the past in this place.", he answered her honestly.

"wha-...how...is he..why does he..", words were absent in Elsa's mouth when the guy infront of him said those words.

"Know?", he fill her in and made a little laugh with the fifth spirit's reaction.

"I've been here for this place for a really long time. Even with my body sealed, my consciousness still alive and exists in this world. However, what I know is just limited to this sanctuary.", Grey explained.

"So, you know me?", Elsa asked him.

"Not quite. All I know is that you were chosen by this place, became the fifth spirit and restored the balance between nature and man.", Grey continued.

"I also know that you're really beautiful. Now, I can't possibly say that out loud, can't I?", he thought to himself.

The fifth spirit seemed to believe what he said and proceeds accordingly.

"Right... so, I came here to ask for your help Prince of Aether.", the fifth spirit declared.

"Our world is in danger now. We were attacked by a dark being from another world. We were lucky no one died from the attack..."

"Sure, I'll help.", Grey answered immediately.

"Everyone is terrified of the demon of the Apocalypse. I have to protect them and save everyone. Thats why I came here look for answers to-... wait what?", she continued.

"I said, I'll help you.", he replied. Elsa had a shocked expression when the prince said this. She didn't fathom he would agree right away. The fifth spirit thought that there's something off with him agreeing directly.

"You didn't even let me finish."

"Saves time, right?", Grey exclaimed.

"Good grief. Thank the spirits. I thought you're gonna decline.", Elsa said overwhelmed with relief and exhaled heavily as if she was not breathing before.

"What makes you say that?", he asked her.

"I have nothing to offer in exchange for your help. Usually, negotiations comes with demands and deals."

"You almost sound like a royal leader like a ...hmmm...Queen, perhaps?", he chuckled. Elsa just stood there not moving an inch upon hearing his remark.

"Wait, seriously? You're a Queen?", Grey a little embarrassed now.

"As a matter of fact, I was. My sister succeeded my throne when I became the fifth spirit.", Elsa answered him standing firmly with a queen like aura.

"Oh, pardon me, you're Majesty.", were the words that escaped his mouth while making a slight bow.

"No please, don't. I'm no Queen now, and plus, I'm the one who's selfishly asking for your help. Please stop with the formalities.", Elsa waiving both hands in a disagreeing fashion to stop the man's actions.

"There's no need for that, really. It's kinda my fault that the demon is terrorizing this era. If...only... I was..stronger...back then...The seal only lasted for quite a while. Thats why...I'll...take...responsiblity...for this.", Grey clenched his fists angrily, barely managed to finished his words. It went unnoticed by the fifth spirit.

"Thank goodness.", Elsa now very glad from the words of the prince and place her hand near her heart with a sense of relief.

"Now, I'll be able to help and save everyone. I found him at last.", she thought.

"That bad, huh?"

"What do you mean?", Elsa asked.

"Your situation right now. I mean you're really scared right now. I don't blame you though. Its not an everyday event that a dark being would just show up and try to engulfed the world with eternal darkness.

I totally understand what you're feeling. It's okay to be afraid. Its not a sign of weakness, its not bad either. It just means that you're afraid of losing something...or...someone for that matter.", Grey continued with his eyes staring below, his hair covering it and wearing a bitter smile.

Flashback

"Grey... You're late..."

"I know. I know. You don't have to tell me", he replied.

"Come..here.."

"You're in big trouble young man."

Flashback End

Words from his companions ringing in his head. Memories of those times still fresh in his mind. He wished that he can go back, but Grey knows better than anyone thats impossible. What's done was done, you only need to move forward.

Elsa noticed his bitter smile and images of Anna, people of Arendelle and enchanted forest flashed into her mind. She can't bear the idea that the people whom she cherishes will just be gone, like nothing. The fifth spirit washed those thoughts away from her mind.

"No. I'm gonna protect them.", Elsa thought to herself.

"Thank..you..for that.", Elsa said stuttering im between words.

It's the first time someone said that to her. It made her felt calm and assured.

Aside from Anna who helped her overcome her fears in the past, the guy infront of him managed to assure her that everythings' gonna be alright on the spot which is pretty unusual because they only just met. Something inside of her is telling her that they're pretty similar in some ways.

"Being afraid of losing someone you love. Fear of hurting them and unable to protect them. Maybe he's the same as me.", Elsa thought deeply.

"I never thought about that.", she continued.

"You're welcome." Grey replied and smiled widely to her. Elsa's heart skipped a beat from the gesture. They just stared at each other.

"What was that? For a moment, I was... drawn... to ...him. No, that can't be it.", Elsa mentally thought.

"Ahem", the man faking a cough.

"Well anyways, we haven't officially introduced ourselves, your highness. I'm Grey Neverfallen from the kingdom of Aether.", the silver-haired man said while reaching for her, kissing her forehand, bowing slightly.

"Its also my pleasure to meet you, Grey, Prince of Aether. I'm Elsa of Arendelle and the fifth spirit which you already knew.", Elsa replied, a little suprised from the man's noble gesture.

"Just Grey if you don't mind, little snowflake..haha"

"Okay then, Prince Grey, and please refrain yourself from calling me that.", she immediately shut down the idea.

"No, just Grey, plain Grey.", he emphasized.

"What's the harm? You're literally a little snowflake.", Grey continued.

"What do you mean little snowflake, Prince Grey Neverfallen of Aether kingdom?", Elsa a little annoyed by the sudden nickname given to her.

"Why are you full naming me for? Well, just as the name suggests, little and snowflake.", he said not noticing the slight change of mood of the blonde woman in front of him.

"Hmmmm.", Elsa just put her hands infront of her as if showing that she's annoyed right now.

"Oh...not...enough, huh?", Grey stuttered in between words when he realized that the fifth spirit is not in the mood for his little games.

"Damn...women..are really scary..I should pick my words more wisely. She might freeze me any second.", he thought in panic.

"What I mean is that, your ice magic and powers as the fifth spirit is just like a little kid, still in the process of developing and exploring. In short, they're not in their full potential. I bet they didn't work well with the demon. Hence, you're a little snowflake.", Grey explained carefully to not annoy the woman further.

"How do you know about my powers? I didn't tell you about them.", Elsa demanding an answer.

"How did he know? About my powers not working against the demon, and I have powers to begin with. I don't know much about him but he knows me. This is so frustrating. Can he read my mind? I want answers.", she thought.

"Well, where do I begin?", Grey stated while looking at her figure from head to toe.

"Hmmm, I can't just tell her that I was watching her when she came here the first time and when she opened the seal to this place. That would just be plainly creepy. I can just imagine what she'll say...

"What a pervert. You're creepy. You've been spying on me the whole time.", I imagine her saying that.

...and then my reputation is ruined." , I thought before contructing my words.

When Grey was eyeing her from head to toe, Elsa felt a little uncomfortable by his stares. She felt like he can see through her.

"Don't look at me like that.", she demanded with a queenly tone.

"Sorry, little snowflake. For starters, I bet you thought I can read minds, right? Cause I wish I can.", Grey amused her and gave her a little laugh, hands on the waist.

This earned a slight suprised face from the fifth spirit.

"Then, how do you know?", she composed herself.

"Because its all over you. Just by standing there tells me that you possess the powers of ice and snow.", he replied.

"What do you mean?"

"Mana.", Grey stated plainly.

"Mana?", Elsa repeated. However, she immediately remembered what Pabbie said.

"Mana is everything around you. The very reason we can use magic is because of the mana around us", she recalled.

"You see, you don't know this but you are loved by mana. And those people adored by mana, possess intense magic, and you are one of them", he continued explaining.

"But that doesn't answer my question earlier, how come you know specifically that I have the powers to manipulate ice and snow.", Elsa retorted, her annoyed tone calming down.

"Like I said, it's written all over you. Specifically, those blue and white lights are highly attracted to you.", Grey said to her.

"Blue and white lights, where?"

"That's why you're a little snowflake. You're not capable of even seeing nor perceiving them.", he teased her.

Elsa a little bit sad from his remarks. She don't know anything about mana in the first place.

"I can't really blame her though. She's not from my era. No one could probably teach her.", Grey thought to himself.

The silver haired guy approached nearer towards her.

"Spread your hands infront and towards me.", he declared.

The fifth spirit a little hesitant about the idea.

"Don't worry, I don't bite. It's a thank you gift for freeing me. Trust me on this."

Elsa slowly put her hands infront of her, trusting a guy he just met and agreeing to what he just requested.

Her cheeks burn up a little and a slight blush can be noticed in her face when Grey lightly grazed and hold her hands in the middle. She looked down away from him, closed her eyes, so that he won't know the state she's in right now.

"What's happening to me?...why am I feeling this?", the fifth spirit mentally thought.

Grey reached for her hands and closed his eyes. The insignia in his right hand started to light up which the fifth spirit noticed.

"That symbol...it's just like at the entrance of the place.", Elsa thought.

Grey suddenly open his eyes. His original black eyes turned really blue competing the blonde woman's eye color. It was like the reflection of the deep blue skies.

Elsa was in awe as she opened her eyes and saw the sight infront of her. She was deeply drawn into his eyes. It felt like she was gonna drown any moment and never come up for air.

Just like that, the light disappeared and Grey let go of her hands.

"What did you do?", Elsa asked him.

"Nothing, just a little present from me.", he replied.

"Present? What pres-", she immediately cut off her words and was in awe at the sight of the room.

Her eyes went to every corner of the room and to her lower body, then hands. The fifth spirit witnessed what the prince just said. She could see the blue and white lights he mentioned. It's too many of them and its enveloping her.

"This must what Pabbie and the prince was talking about. This must be mana.", she contemplated.

"Amazing. I can't believe what I'm seeing. Its beyond beautiful. Thank you Pri-...I mean, Grey.", Elsa said gratefully.

"Yeah, you're beautiful.", Grey said without any thoughts.

"What did you say?", she asked.

"You're welcome, I said you're welcome.", he hurriedly corrected himself.

"Phew, that was a close call. I should be more careful with my thoughts.",

"Okay, I thought you said you're beau-...nothing", she stopped when she realized what she's supposed to say.

"Anyways, we should get out of here.", Grey suggested looking for an exit.

"You're right, I've been gone for far too long. We should head back. They must be worried about me. Plus, I can't wait to tell them about you.", she replied.

"Sure, just give me minute. I almost forgot something."

Grey walked into a corner. Its not an ordinary corner of the place. There is a also that insignia on the wall. He placed his hand on the symbol and it shined brightly. The light almost blinding the fifth spirit as she closed her eyes tightly and her hands covering her.

When the light died down, the blonde woman slowly opened her eyes.

"Rawr...rawr...rawr..*lick*...Awoooooooh...", she heard as she opens her eyes.

The fifth spirit was met with a cute sight. A silver white haired guy holding a gray wolf puppy.

"Stop it, buddy. That tickles...*Rawr... exhaling rapidly*..", Grey said to the puppy.

"What is that?", Elsa asked excitedly.

"This little guy right here is a spirit tempest wolf. I found him a very long time ago in the forest. It was lost in the forest when its parents were killed from a hunt.", Grey sadly said.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked", she replied with guilt.

"It's okay, it's not like its your fault to begin with.", he tried to comfort her.

"His name is reyv, he's not actually a puppy per say.", Grey continued.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You'll see soon enough.", he just smiled deviously after.

Now Elsa was just curious at what he meant by that. She can tell in a way that this wolf is not just any wolf. Its magical as she can sense and see mana now.

"Can I hold him?" Elsa asked politely with a puppy look eyes.

"Its hard to resist when you look at me like that, y'know?", Grey thought.

"Sure, but be careful, he's a little picky on who holds hi-", he was cut off and suprised when he saw the little reyv being playful with the fifth spirit.

"You were saying?", Elsa said provocatively. Ruffling and petting the creature she's holding.

"Nothing, your highness.", he replied defeated.

"Tsk. Damn puppy, you were biting and scratching me when we first met and now you just let someone pet you, and you just met the woman. You little traitor.", Grey said bitterly.

"Jealous?, little prince?", Elsa teased while smiling.

"As if, snowflake. You can snug him around for all I care.", Grey looking away from the two.

"Don't worry little reyv. The white haired old man is just jealous of us.", Elsa still teasing the man. The puppy just barked in agreement.

"Who are you calling an old man? My hair is naturally silver white and I'm not some old man.", Grey defended himself. It's Elsa's payback for annoying her earlier.

"What a sly woman.", he thought.

"I know its not me. I mean we only have one man in this room.", Elsa continued.

"Okay, thats enough. You've been having your fun for a while now, snowflake. Plus, we're about the same age. If you use my frozen age, at least."

"Hmmmph.. Fine, I'll guess we end it here, right reyv?", the puppy barked in reply agreeing with the fifth spirit.

"Wait you're not calling me little anymore?", the blonde woman asked.

"Well you're highness, I just upgraded you from little. Now, come on, let's get out of here."

Grey immediately started walking. A certain fifth spirit following behind him with a huge grin in her face and lightly blushed cheeks.

At the same time, Arendelle. Castle.

"Kristoff, you're gonna be okay. Just be strong for me, all right.", the Queen of Arendelle said to her beloved.

"I'm fine, Anna. This is nothing to worry about.", he replied.

"If you include the part that you were hit by a deadly dark spot while rescuing a man, then, you're absolutely just fine.", Olaf sarcastically said.

"Olafffff.", Anna shouted.

"I'm sorry. It's just that ...that everything is changing. I'm just trying to cheer you up..trying to make things seem... normal.", the little snowman explained with a very sad tone.

"I'm sorry too, Olaf. I'm sorry I shouted at you." she said.

"Its okay, Anna. I understand."

"Come here... Warm hugs?"

The little snowman gaped in happiness and excitedly approached the Queen for the familiar gesture.

"I miss this."

"Me too."

With the touching display infront of the bedridden Kristoff, the guy immediately vomited blood to the side of the bed. He was coughing out blood continuosly.

"Kristoff!", Anna gasped and hurriedly tend to her man.

"Olaf, call Pabbie. Hurry."

Olaf ran as fast as he could to call the elder troll. He found him in the corridors of the castle and took him to Kristoff's chamber.

"Pabbie, help. Kristoff.", Anna said while crying.

Pabbie used his troll magic to heal the man. However, he could only do so much for him. He can't fully heal him because of the curse. The curse is beyond him.

"He'll be okay, your majesty. But I can't fully heal him with the curse still active in his body." Pabbie said.

"What do we do?", Olaf asked him.

"I don't know. If the prince was here, he would be able to do something. For now, lets put our faith in your sister that she would find him, your majesty.", Pabbie said to Anna.

Anna was wiping her tears in her eyes and just nodded with what the elder troll said.

"She can do it. Elsa could find him. Please, Elsa, hurry. Kristoff... Arendelle...is in deep trouble.", Anna thought.
