Anna was wiping her tears in her eyes and just nodded with what the elder troll said.
"She can do it. Elsa could find him. Please, Elsa, hurry. Kristoff... Arendelle...is in deep trouble.", Anna thought.
End of Previous Chapter
Ahtohallan.
Two familiar figures where walking in the glaciers finding the exit. Their reflection shown in the ice as they pass to one.
The cold doesn't bother a blonde woman wearing a white dress with a scarf she wore made out of ice, patterned with snowflakes. Her outfit matches her pale white skin. In front of her is a silver white haired guy with black strands of his air on one side. He's wearing his black suit highlighted with white streaks on the hems.
The black strands of hair bothered the fifth spirit. It is an unusual hair color for a prince. Not that she can say when her sister's hair strand turned white when she struck her heart with her magic. But the color gave the fifth spirit an uneasy feeling. She kept pondering and looking at it.
"What?", the guy infront of him spoke.
"Nothing...i just thought that...", Elsa replied.
"You've been staring at me for quite awhile now. Now, now, don't tell me...you've... fallen...in love...with...me...snowflake.", he said with a teasing tone and a devious grin.
Elsa's mouth hanged from what the prince just blurted. A blush can be seen in her cheeks when he heard the guy said.
"Whaaaattt? No way that will ever happen. I'm not..absolutely..and definitely fall in love with you. I'm just...just..", Elsa said in a loud voice to emphasize her words.
"Hahaha... There's no need to panic, your majesty. If I were you, I will fall in love with me, either.", he jokingly said.
"You're...you are..definitely..crazyyyyyyyy!.", Elsa can't hide her embarrassed face and started shooting small ice beams at him.
Whoosh...whoosh...whooosh
"Hey, thats dangerous, y'know... Whoosh..Quit it...Whoosh... Stop it... Whoooshh... I'm sorry, okay. I was only joking.", Grey said in between attacks barely dodging them. He hid in an ice pillar to avoid the attacks of the fifth spirit and apologized to make her stop.
After a few moments, the fifth spirit calmed down herself and stopped shooting her magic to the white haired guy.
"As I was about to say, I'm just curious about your hair.", the fifth spirit said.
"What about my hair?", he replied.
"There's black strands on one side which seems not to be case for the other side.", the fifth spirit pointed out.
"Black strands? What do you mean black stra-.." Grey stopped his words when he saw his own reflection in the glaciers.
"What the...? What the hell is this? what's this black strands?", he questioned himself.
"You're...you didn't notice? I thought you knew."
"Knew? Is this the face of someone who knows?"
"Good point", Elsa plainly said.
"Ughhhh, this hair looks like someone did a bad job styling it.", Grey giving up because he can't do anything about it.
"It's fine. You're fine...looking like a big idiot, that is.", Elsa said in revenge while hiding her laugh with her hand.
"Shut up. Lets just go.", he exhaled deeply to help himself move on from this situation and started walking again.
"And stop laughing there, I can totally hear you."
"This is strange. As far as I can remember, my hair is pure silver white, so why did it change? Maybe because of that.", Grey thought to himself.
"Well, if it makes you feel a lot better. I kinda like it...just a little.", Elsa made a gesture with her fingers to indicate her last remark. Grey was slightly taken a back from what she said.
"Hmmmm...you sure you're not in love with me?", Grey jokingly said yet with a serious face.
"No, I'm not and never will. You can take my word for it.", she said with a triumphant tone in her voice.
She didn't miss the glimpse of sad face made by the guy in front of him.
"All right, lets get out of here. Found the exit."
Elsa didn't notice that they are now near the exit. Time really flows fast if you're not paying attention to it.
"I admit it. I enjoy his company, didn't even notice where we are." Elsa thought.
"Yeah, lets go.", Elsa replied
It wasn't long that they've exited the gates of the place. A certain prince excitedly ran to take a look the outside world. For centuries now, he can feel the winds landing his face, the scent of saltiness of the seas and the very land he stood on.
"Wow. I miss this. The outside world is truly amazing. How many years has it has been. I'm glad I'm alive right now." Grey said gratefully while eyeing the beautiful sight infront of him.
Elsa melted inside when he saw the prince's reaction. It's just like a little kid who just got outside of his cage to play outside. That's how she saw Grey.
"Thank you. Once again, I've been given the chance to see the world again."
Elsa was taken a back by the sudden words of the prince. She didn't expect him to say thank you just like that.
"No, I should be the one to say that. I'm being so selfish to ask you to risk your life to help me save everyone or save us for that matter.", Elsa said. She became sad and tears started to form in her eyes.
"I'm not strong enough to protect them and here I am asking for someone's help. This is frustrating because I can't do anything.", she breaked her composure. Now her tears slowly fell down on her cheeks.
"I'm so sorry. I'm such a crybaby. I'm usually not like this.", the fifth spirit claimed while wiping her tears.
Grey can't stand the crying blonde woman in front of hin. He approached her slowly and put his hands on her shoulder. Elsa hugging the puppy tightly for comfort. Reyv tried comforting her by snugging his head closely to the fifth spirit.
"Its okay to cry, snowflake.", he started.
"Not strong enough? You underestimate yourself too much snowflake. You're strong enough yourself. You don't see it now but trust me when I say this...
... You're a league of your own. In the old days, you are what we call a true prodigy. You might be stronger than me somehow.
I admire you're strength with or without your powers. The strength of your resolve and belief. Without that, I doubt you'll be able to find me, let alone, free me in this place. I wanna see how you go from here there on thats why I'm gonna help you, I'm gonna protect you, and save everyone." Grey finished.
Elsa was beyond suprised. She can't believe what the prince said. She never felt assured in her life.
"This guy, we only met but I feel like I can trust him completely.", Elsa mentally thought. Then, she wiped her tears completely, composing herself in the process.
"Thank you...Grey. You can get your hands off my shoulders now.", she said. Her eyes a little swollen from the crying and her cheeks slightly red.
"Oh yeah, sorry.", Grey immediately took off her hands, a little embarrassed by the affectionate display and realized the nerve wrecking speech he gave a while ago.
"I'm glad she feels a lot better now.", Grey thought feeling a little relieve.
"Well then, thats finished. How will we get out of he-", he was cut off when a galloping sound and a water horse emerged under the deep waters.
"With Nokk, of course.", Elsa said as if it was the obvious thing to say. The elemental spirit immediately approached nearer to the two figures. The fifth spirit and the prince also did the same.
"Woaaaahhhh, I was never this close to an elemental spirit before. Can I ride it, Nokk I mean?", Grey said to the fifth spirit.
"Well, suit yourself, your highness.", she replied smiling devishly for she knows what's about to happen. She just remained silent after that.
"Then I'll take you're offer then."
Grey went closer to the water horse. Admiring its form. Upon close inspection, you can clearly see through it. The water is clear as crystal. He tried to feel its watery body. The water horse stared at him and was slightly taken aback by the sudden action of the prince.
Grey tried to mount the water spirit which is quite difficult for him. He just slips through the water. In contrast to the fifth spirit where she can easily mount up on the spirit.
"You need help?", Elsa asked.
"Nahh, I got this", he replied when in reality he don't got this.
He tried to mount Nokk several times but to know avail.
"Come on!.. Haha..finally.." he said with a triumphant laugh when he mounted Nokk for a moment, till the water spirit gallop in place ..." WAHHHHHHHH".. and throw him out to the water. Elsa was now laughing silently at him. Watching him being thrown out, it drive her nuts and she couldn't contain her laugh anymore.
"His reaction is so funny." Elsa said to herself still laughing at him.
Grey walking back to the shoreline all wet.
"I'm gonna get you back for this Nokk and will you stop laughing now." pointing out to the fifth spirit's figure. "and not a word of this.", he continued.
"Yes, of course, your highness." Elsa said playfully.
"Stop it already, it's not funny anymore.", Grey embarrassed by his clumsy display.
"If it's not, how come I can't stop myself from doing so?" Elsa still smiling sheepishly.
"Stop it. Quit laughing."
Elsa calmed herself now and approached the water horse. She put her head against the water horse, enclosed Nokk with her ice magic to allow it to cross lands in between. The horse immediately gallop around and encircling the two figures in his sight. Elsa then made ice reins to take hold of Nokk and gracefully mounted the water spirit. Still holding reyv in the process.
"Wow, that was easy." Grey was shocked with astonishment by the sight.
"Hop on."
The fifth spirit said while extending her hand for the prince to help him mount the water horse.
"You sure?", he asked carefully because he don't want to repeat what happened earlier.
"Yes, I'm sure. Now, come on."
Without any further doubts, he took her hand and with one swift moment, he mounted the water spirit he couldn't mount earlier.
"This feels amazing.", he said. "Too close..too close", Grey thought hiding the red blush in his face when he realized there's zero distance in between them.
"Damn it, she smells nice..just this close to her makes me...her body is so... Grey stop it. You behave just like a teenager who couldn't control himself.", Grey fighting internally within himself.
"What's the matter?", his thoughts were broken when the fifth spirit asked him.
"Nothing...its just like...aren't we too..physically close? Like literally", he said hiding his blush.
Elsa realized this and also immediately did the same. She didn't notice how close they were. She can't hide her blush anymore and proceeded to look forward in attempt.
"I can't let him see me like this. Tough it out, Elsa.", she mentally said to herself
"I see. I don't mind." Elsa said with a queenly tone. Hiding the embarrassment with his queen like aura and facade.
"Righ-...right", he said very unsure of the situation.
"Come here, Reyv.", Grey called him in which he immediately respond. She walked over Elsa and messed up her hair real nice, and came in between the closeness of the two. Reyv became the space that separated them.
"Good boy.", Grey said. "Now I don't have to worry about getting too close.", he thought.
Elsa thought the same too and a relief exhale came out of her. She too can't stand the fact that their bodies are too close to begin with.
"Hold on.", she said which the prince complied politely and took a hold of her waists, instinctively. This earned a tremendous blush and surprised gasp from the blonde woman in front of him.
"Not there, you idiot.", she said and slapped the guy out of reflex.
"Owwww, that hurt.", he wobbled almost knocked out of balance in the mount. "Sorry, you said hold on."
"Hold on anywhere but not me."
"Now thats just plainly impos-", he unfinished what he was about to say when she saw Elsa's glaring eyes.
"..Plainly possible. I'll just grab on to Nokk", he immediately changed his words and gulping after.
"Then, lets go.", he said
"Careful not to fall.", she said but her eyes didn't say the same, it's as if she wants him to fall in the waters.
"Yeah, of..course..", he replied. "Your eyes says otherwise you know."
"Do they?"
"Uhmmmm, ye-...no, absolutely no.", Grey hurriedly said.
"Man, she is scary when mad. I should be more careful next time...but her waists was so...okay, stop thinking about it.", he thought to himself and shook his head to get rid of his dirty thoughts.
Nokk ran on the surface of the waters. The large waves weren't a hinder in their journey when they have the water elemental spirit on their side. Nokk controls the deep waters and it is her domain, so travelling on it, does not pose a problem for the two whose riding the water horse.
Grey closed his eyes, feeling everything in his surroundings. The clashing waves, the winds that hits against his face and the dark skies with stars on it. The sight was spectacular. With a beautiful woman in front of him, riding together in a magical horse make it seem like a fairy tale.
He look at his hand and leaned slightly on the side. He tried casting his black-blueish flames in his right hand while still holding Reyv in the process.
Grey tried with all his might but he cam only produce a small torch like flame. This went unnoticed by the fifth spirit who was busy navigating the seas whilst riding the water spirit.
"Haaahh... As I thought, my magic is depleted. Being sealed in that place also sealed my magic. I could only produce tiny portions of my flames. I hope nothing bad happens till then. It would be hard fighting Armad and his demon servants in this state. I can't do anything, I have to do something to replenish my magic fast." Grey thought seriously.
The silver white haired guy stared seriously at the blonde woman infront of her.
"I have to protect them. This time...for sure...I won't let anyone die.", he whispered to himself.
"Did you say something?", the fifth spirit asked when he heard something from her back.
"Nothing...just the moon is beautiful tonight.", the guy staring deeply at the skies avoiding the subject.
"Yeah, you're right.", Elsa replied when she did the same.
A few moments later, they have arrived at the shoreline of the enchanted forest where Elsa once faced the trial of the water spirit, the water horse tried to drown her to the bottom of the seas, and obviously, she fought back hardly and passed the trial.
They mounted down the water spirit dissipated on the waters when they took a step on the sands of the shore.
"ELSAAAAAAAA!", a familiar black haired woman shouted her name and came running towards her, then, panting for air.
"Honeymaren, you're here.", she replied with arms open wide to hug her. They then did the gesture.
"Where were you, Elsa? I lost you in the chase for that bird.", Honeymaren said.
"I...I.. It's hard to explain but I have great news for every-", Elsa was suddenly cut off the woman infront of her.
"Is that him? The prince of the ancient northern kingdom. Wow, Elsa, you found him already?"
"Yes and he is-.." she was cut off again.
"Greetings, your highness, I'm Honeymaren from the Enchanted Forest."
"Hi, I'm Grey Neverfallen of the Kingdom of Aether. Please ease yourself and stop with the formalities.", he replied.
"Sure, I'm not familiar with the ways of a kingdom in the first place."
"That's great. That was easy, right snowflake?"
"Yeah...right. As I was about to say, this is the prince of the kingdom of Aether, the one we were searching for. He's here to help us." Elsa said to the two figures in front of him.
"Snowflake?... Is that Elsa you're talking about?.. Kinda suits her, actually.", Honeymaren interjected.
"See, it suits you snowflake.", he said to the fifth spirit.
"No, it does not suit me. Stop with the nickname please. We have more important matters at hand.", Elsa said hoping the topic would shift to something more serious.
"You want me to demote you to little snowflake again?.hahaha", Grey teased her.
"Please no. Snowflake is fine.", she immediately surrendered.
"Is something going in between you two?", Honeymaren asked both of them.
"Absolutely Not!", they said at the same time.
"Wow, you're in sync. Are you sure? Cause it feels like I should not be here right now, if you know what I mean.", she continued.
"No, you're fine Honeymaren." Grey said to her making a smile while looking at the fifth spirit.
Pink flames suddenly emerged from the trees and gaining speed towards them. Grey noticed that and immediately went to a fighting stance.
"Stop!, its just Bruni.", Elsa said to the prince. She then made ice snowflakes around her to calm the fire lizard down.
"Bruni? Who's Bruni?"
"The fire spirit." Honeymaren answered him.
"I didn't know the fire spirit is a little lizard", he approached the little guy on the ground.
Bruni flared up his flames on his back because of the unfamiliar being in front of him. Spirits senses danger and acts hostile to anyone who approaches them, the fire lizard spewed out fire at him which the guy easily dodge by moving away his head from the direction the fire spirit's flame shot.
"Bruni, nooooooo. This man right here is a friend. He's gonna help us." Elsa scooped the little guy with her hands and talked to the little lizard not sure if it understood anything she said.
It seems like it understood her because the flames died out. The fire spirit continued to catch snowflakes with his mouth. It seems to be his favorite. Despite the fact that he's the fire spirit, Bruni also loves the cold.
The puppy that Grey was holding in his arms started to squirm and kick his hands. The little wolf then hit the ground and walk nearer to where the fire spirit was. Reyv approached the little guy cautiously sniffing him out. He then licked the lizard in front of him, Reyv seems to like him. Bruni was crawling around and sit on top of the spirit wold. They kinda like each other. Reyv wanted to have a playmate. They were chasing around excitedly.
After awhile, Reyv stopped in his tracks and looking at the southern direction while a certain fire spirit sitting on top of him looking at the wolf curiously. Grey noticed the spirit wolf's sudden change of mood. He then walked towards them and gazes at the same direction.
"I've got a bad feeling about these. Those dark clouds in the sky are hints of trouble.", he said so that the two womanly figure would hear him.
"What do you mean? They look normal clouds to me, at least. Honeymaren asked.
"It's just a hunch. I maybe wrong but.. Reyv has knack for sensing danger from miles away.", he answered with a worried tone.
Upon hearing that, Elsa had an uneasy feeling she can't place. The direction they are facing right now is where Arendelle resides.
"Please no. Please let me be wrong." she said to herself.
Her thoughts were suddenly cut off by a familiar whistling of the leaves in the air. The whistling and shuffling sound of the leaves as it approaches them. The wind spirit, Gale, flying a letter towards them. The letter was blown and was caught by the fifth spirit.
Immediately, she opened the contents of the letter. Panic and fear resides in Elsa's mind when she read the letter from her sister.
"This can't be happening. I've got to go back in Arendelle."
"Why?" Honeymaren asked her while the man wearing a dark suit is facing and writing something in a big rock while still listening to them.
"It's my sister. She sent me a letter. She said, Arendelle is in deep trouble. I have got to go back this instant.", Elsa hurriedly said.
The guy finished what he did and approached the fifth spirit.
"Then let's go.", Grey said to her.
"Right, I have to call Nokk back."
"That won't be necessary. I have a faster way of going to your kingdom. Just tell me where and we'll get there in..*Wooosh*..in a few minutes." Grey said while riding now a huge spirit wolf.
"Finally recovered Reyv?" , he asked and got a howling reply from the spirit wolf.
"Thats it! I missed this too buddy", he continued.
The two women were shocked by such a sight. A wolf with thick white fur in their very own eyes. Reyv looks majestic.
"How did he...how...why...", Elsa can't form her words with what she just witnessed which is the same case for the woman beside him.
"I told you earlier, right? That he's not a actually a puppy per say", Grey said to help the woman recall what he said.
"Yeah, you said that but I never thought it would be like this.", Elsa replied still surprised with the sight. She can't believe that the little wolf puppy she hug around earlier would turn into a majestic creature.
"You're gonna drool with your mouth hanging like that for a while now, Honeymaren. Hey snowflake, come on, we're in a hurry.",Grey commented. Honeymaren closed his mouth hurriedly and slightly embarassed with an ugly display.
"Right. I'm coming." This time Grey offered his hand to help Elsa mount Reyv. Given that Reyv was much larger than she expected, she would have a hard time sitting on top of him.
"Wow, he's bigger than I thought him to be", Elsa said. She reached for Grey's hand and squeezed it firmly. With one quick motion, Grey pulled her up and now was sitting behind him. Just like their positions when riding Nokk but opposite.
"You better hold on because you're in for a rough ride.", Grey teased her.
"I'll be fine, who do you think I am?", she replied with a proud tone.
"I guess you'll be..haha"
"Honeymaren, go back to camp and tell everybody what you know. I'll be staying in Arendelle for awhile to make sure everything is all right.", Elsa told her with a loud voice.
"Okay, Elsa. Keep safe and I pray that the spirits may guide and protect you." Honeymaren replied.
"Thank you, Honeymaren. Take care of everyone while I'm gone."
"Done? Then off we go. Hold on tight, I'm not joking." Grey said.
"All right.", Elsa tightly took hold of his clothes on his side.
"You're gonna hold on more than that..fine, suit yourself...don't blame me afterwards...Reyv, Lets goooo!"
Reyv understood what Grey said and bended all his legs as if he was about to jump. Elsa had a bad feeling about this and immediately encircled her hands to the waists of the guy in front of him. Holding him in place at the same time hugging him tightly from the back.
Elsa was not wrong in her hunch when the wolf strongly leap very high into the air and started running. She just closed her eyes for a moment then briefly opened them.
"What? Wow... We're...we're floating.", she said with amazement.
"First time, I presume?", Grey asked her.
"As a matter of fact, yes. This is amazing. I've never experienced flying."
"Well you can actually. Being the fifth spirit has its perks.", he said.
"What do you mean?"
"I'll tell you soon enough. First, lets hurry to Arendelle."
"Of course." Elsa replied with an obvious worried face.
"Don't be anxious snowflake, they're fine. I'm sure.", he said assuring her.
"I sincerely hope so. I hope you're right.", Elsa said to encourage herself. They didn't notice that a certain fire lizard sneaked into the spirit wolf's thick fur.
On the other hand, Honeymaren jaw dropped when she witnessed the scene. She can't believe her eyes. She saw the whole thing when the wolf just leapt very high on the air and started running on it.
Moments later, she finally accepted and absorbed everything she witnessed and proceeded to go back to camp. Before she did, she noticed an inscription in a big rock where Grey was facing earlier. She didn't notice what he did but she was so sure that Grey was the one who did it.
"What's this? I can't read this. Is it foreign or ancient writing somehow. Well, I won't really know, better ask him when he comes back."
"ポータル"
She moved on from the inscription and went to the direction to reach the camp. She got to tell everyone that the long sealed prince has been found and freed by the fifth spirit.
"Everyone would be happy and rejoice with this news. I cant wait to tell them", she said to herself.
