It was late afternoon, and Marinette and her friends were on Julika and Luka's house boat for their band, Kitty Section's, weekly practice. Only Rose was missing.

"That's strange," Marinette said checking the time on her phone "She never misses band practice."

"Maybe she got held up?" Ivan suggested as he lightly tapped the drums.

"Does anyone know where she might be?" Kim who was just there because he didn't have anything else to do today.

"Last I saw her," Julika said quietly "She was heading to her music lesson."

"You mean the one that's held at the old opera house?" Luka asked gently playing his guitar and tuning it.

"Nino and Alya had that class too, and they haven't gotten back yet either," Adrien, who was supposed to be at fencing but somehow ended up here. "Maybe we should go look for them."

All agreeing, everyone packed up their instruments and started heading over to the building in question.

They were almost there when they saw Rose handing out fliers to people. She seemed fine, only more cheerful than normal and her eyes were a purplely-pink colour.

"Rose?" Marinette called out to her.

"Oh there you all are!" Rose said hugging each of them "I've been looking for you everywhere. Come on I want you all to meet somebody."

"Rose," Luka said gently grabbing her wrist and holding her back "What do you mean 'You've been looking for us everywhere?' We've been waiting for you at our houseboat, for band practice, remember?"

"Oh I'm sorry," Rose said after a few seconds "I forgot about that. After meeting the Songstress."

"Who?" they all asked confused.

"Come along and I'll introduce you to her." Rose said smiling gently.

Marinette, Adrien, Luka, Julika, Kim, and Ivan all looked at each other in unsure looks but all nodded and let Rose go to let her lead them to this 'Songstress'.

Smiling Rose set off towards the Arc de Triomphe, lightly skipping and humming to herself.

"Err, why are we going this way Rose?" Adrien asked "The old opera house is back there."

"Oh I know," Rose said spinning around to talk to them "But the Arc has better acoustics' and the Songstress wants EVERYONE in Paris to hear her songs. So she moved from the opera house to there instead."

They were almost there, when they came across Alix, Alya, and Nino and a few other people from school and the community all with purple eyes and all looking towards the Arc where a stage had been set up, and all chanting "Songstress... Songstress... Songstress..."

Not wanting to be noticed, Marinette, Adrien and the band snuck into the back row and sat down as slowly someone came out onto the stage as the chanting got faster.

Soon Melodia was in full view of the audience.

"Hellooooo friends!" she called out lifting her cloak up so the light shone through it.

Wanting to be polite, Ivan cheered as well, but soon stopped from the looks the others were giving him.

"Oh, and new friends I see," this woman said "Welcome my show. I am and Melodia," she said to the group "And if you're going to be my guest, I just have one tiny request..." she said smiling and started to sing and dance.

As she sang, she lifted up her cape for the light to shine through it again, hitting everyone in the audience, who (minus Kitty Section) sang along with her

(E) 'Meeeeeeeeee!'

(M) 'Meeeeeeeeee!'

(E) 'Meeeeeeeeee!'

Jumping Melodia flew around and started to circle the crowd making sure everyone could hear her.

As she did, Marinette noticed something strange.

"Hey Julika, look!" she said since Julika was the one sitting next to her "Melodia's eyes are the same as Rose's and everyone else's. Jul?"

For Julika wasn't listening and when Marinette tried to see what was wrong, the usually quiet and shy purple haired girl got up and started singing to Melodia's song, assisted by Alya who had come over to join them.

Julika:
Everyone is having fun
Just look around

Alya:
Come on and listen up

Julika & Alya:

Let out that sound!

As his sister sang, Luka had started tapping his foot to the song as well and soon had an urge to sing as well, so got up and let himself be heard.

Luka
When in doubt follow Melodia's lead
A little rhythm in melody...

He sang, using his guitar, which he brought with him as a makeshift mike, soon joined my Aurora and Mireille.

Marinette and Adrien just watched not believing what was going on then looked up to the stage where Ivan had found himself and was singing in his, not all that good a voice and if you could call it that 'dancing' along to the tune.

Ivan:
If your voice is off key and you don't have a clue

As he was singing this Melodia finished circling the crowed and returned to the stage where she sang with Ivan for a bit before coming over to Adrien, Marinette, and Kim – the only ones not singing yet.

Melodia:
Just sing it real loud and act like you do!
We sound better together, it's true!

Melodia come close to Kim and reached out a hand, gently stroking him on the cheek looking him right in the eyes.

Kim looked like he was trying to fight something off in his mind as she did this, but it was all for nothing as once she pulled away he got up and started singing and dancing too, speaking to Alix who he found himself next to.

Kim:
Hey there Alix, what's going down?
I sing and I dance but I'm never your clown!

This line was given because earlier that day Alix called Kim a clown for trying and failing to shoot a basket in basket ball in PE.

Melodia:
Why sing alone when you can sing it together?
Come sing my song and we can sing it forever!

Melodia sang as she came back to the stage once again, and once again raising up her cape so the light shone through it.

Everyone (minus Marinette and Adrien):

Seeing all the people there, including his friends singing and dancing without a care in the world Adrien just had one thing to say

"Is this really happening?"

Feeling that something wasn't right Marinette looked around and saw that everyone had purple eyes just like Melodia and that their friends eyes were starting to turn too. "Adrien, their eyes..."

Quickly Marinette and Adrien grabbed everyone they came there with, cover their ears and telling them to not to listen.

Marinette grabbed Julika and Ivan, placing her hands over their ears saying; "No don't listen to her."

"Guys snap out of it," Adrien said to Luka and Kim after covering their ears.

Once everyone was snapped out of whatever this spell was, they left and retreated to Marinette's house.

Melodia finished and looked out at the crowd, noticing her 'new friends' were missing.

"Wait no. Come back!" Melodia said seeing them leave "Sing with me. I know I have a sone for you."

When they didn't come back she asked her audience "What's with those huys? You never leave before the big finish am I right?"

Everyone cheered showing they agreed with her.

As they did a purple neon-like butterfly mask appeared before her eyes.

'Oh don't worry about them, sweet Melodia,' Hawkmoth said in her head 'Sooner or later they will come and sing along with you. But while they are away remember our deal. You are to get me Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous.'

"Yes Hawkmoth, only they're not here yet," she said looking around to make sure "How can I take something from someone who's not here?"

'Cause enough chaos on this town and they will come,' he said calmly.

Nodding Melodia set her 'Students' to gather more people to sing with her, saying that the ones who brought her Ladybug and Chat Noir will get to sing with he on stage to get them join in with the singing.
