Rob woke up that morning, his back wasn't in the best shape after sleeping on the mattress, but it was a much better rest than in the streets or the woods like before. There was a knock on the door.
"Come in." Rob sighed, to his surprise he saw Rill.
"Hey, Rob… I just want to say, after living with you for a while… I want to give you a chance." Rill said gently. "Welcome back, big brother."
Rob softly smiled back and shook his brother's hand.
"Glad to be back, little brother." Rob said.
"Boys! I made breakfast!" Rita called. The two came downstairs. On the plates were potatoes covered in hollandaise sauce. "Your father will come here tonight."
"He doesn't remember me though." Rob sighed.
"I will make sure he will though." Rita said while holding the tin hat.
"Thanks mom." Rob said as he ate his meal, he hadn't yet gotten used to how good real food tasted. For years he just found change that had been dropped or did small jobs which very few people assigned him to due to them fearing his appearance. He then bought the cheapest foods he could, which didn't turn out good since he earned less than the Wattersons.
"Why are you drooling?" Jamika asked.
"Sorry, this is only the fifth time I remember having real food." Rob sighed.
"You think that's good? Wait until we have Pizza night this Saturday." Jamika giggled.
"You have pizza every saturday?" Rob felt a little envious of the life he could have had if he never ran away.
"Well, every other Saturday, sometimes on Sunday, depends." Jamika shrugged.
"But mom never did that before..." Rob said.
"Oh, Rob, it's a long story why I changed the way we do things… I just realized I never spent enough time with my family, but I still wanted to help children. So I adopted Jamika." Rita explain.
"Only because I was gone…" Rob sighed.
"Don't think of it as being replaced, Robby… I think of it as you and her being brother and sister." Rita said.
"Alright, I'll give her a chance." Rob sighed.
"It's okay if you don't like me." Jamika shook her head. "It's not like we're blood related."
Rob then started to feel bad. He remembered he manipulated Gumball into telling Darwin he should have never been adopted, causing the poor fish to run away crying. Now he had an adopted sister and he couldn't imagine saying something like that to her even though they didn't know each other for that long.
"It's not that, you were just unexpected." Rob sighed. He patted her shoulder. "But I think this can work."
"It's okay, I didn't expect to have another big brother either." Jamika admitted, then she hugged him, Rob couldn't help but smile again, he hasn't smiled this much in a long time, especially out of genuine happiness rather than malice.
Someone was watching through the window.
"You will come back to me, I promise." The voice from before whispered.
Rob went to school again, worried about who else would react negatively towards seeing him.
When he went inside, everyone either stared or tried to look away. Teri hid her face, hoping Rob wouldn't erase it again, Banana Joe glared at him menacingly because of when he kidnapped his mom, and Tobias, who was his only friend before waved awkwardly at him.
Rob soon saw Tina, which made him shake in his boots since she had beaten him to a pulp for what he did, he quietly tip-toed around her, hoping she wouldn't notice him. Even before the void thing they never got along, but after Rob impersonated a superintendent, she despised him.
Thankfully she either didn't notice him or didn't think he was worth the trouble this time.
"This is crazy… I can't just stay here… It's stressing me out." Rob then had an idea, he would try to escape school.
