Sometime around 4 months before the prologue…
Angie's POV
*Ding Ding, Ding Ding Ding*
The Pokemon School bell rang, signalling the end of another school day.
"Alright class, please go home and prepare for the test next week, the questions will be based on the topic we've discussed today," Professor Kukui said.
"Right…" everyone said dreadfully while I remained stoic. Test? No sweat, I will just look through the notes again the day before… After all, I can remember all the content since I have photographic memory.
We walked out of the campus together as Ash and Sophocles whined about the test next week.
"Aw man, I'm gonna fail. I can't remember anything Professor Kukui said just now," Sophocles complained.
"I don't know what he said just now either," Ash continued.
Lillie and I sighed in exasperation as Lillie said, "You guys should really pay attention in class."
"But even if I do, my brain just won't absorb. I'll most probably forget in one day," Ash protested.
I looked at him in disbelief, "You have the worst memory ever."
"Says the one with a photographic memory," Sophocles said.
"Yeah Angie, you hardly ever study and yet you always manage to get a perfect score," Mallow spoke up, agreeing with Sophocles.
"I was born with it, it's genetics," I said nonchalantly, looking at them with a poker face.
"Guys, stop fighting over things like this," Lillie pitched in.
"Yeah, it's not gonna do any of us any good," Kiawe agreed.
"Let's all study tomorrow after school together. We'll study over at Angie and Lillie's place so that all of us will be confident for the test next week," Lana proposed.
"Well I'm fine with it," Lillie said.
"Well sure," Kiawe agrees.
Mallow looked at me and said, "I know you don't need to study to ace this test but please join us for group study, we can use some help during that period."
"Yeah, I don't understand a thing Professor Kukui said just now. I need understanding the content again," Sophocles said as well.
"Please?" Lana asked as she looked at me.
I looked at the others, with most of them giving me puppy eyes and sighed, "Alright alright, I'll come but please drop that expression."
"Alright! Everyone's studying together, let's ace this," Lana said. 'I'm not really going to study…' I thought as I sweatdropped.
"Alright, bye guys," we said to each other as we parted ways.
I headed somewhere into the forest to train with Eevee when I heard a rustle coming from the bushes. I looked over at the bush warily as I approached it slowly.
I looked into the bushes to see a group of Team Skull members harassing a Pokemon and physically abusing it. I took a closer look at the Pokemon, it has cream coloured fur and wings with round bright blue eyes, long pointed flame-orange V-shaped ears, and small orange paws and feet. It's a very small Pokemon, but what is it?
I immediately got angry and I knew Eevee was feeling the same. Those good for nothing troublemakers… they're so going to get it this time.
I looked at Eevee and made my move, "Eevee, quick attack!"
Eevee wasted no time in using quick attack, knocking all of them away from that Pokemon as I ran over to the injured Pokemon and scooped it up in my arms. I could tell that their Pokemon were defeated.
"It's you again!" Tupp said, recognising me.
"You've got some nerve pulling that!" Rapp shrieked.
"You leave that Pokemon alone!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and threw three boomerangs at them as it hit them right in their arms, the boomerangs went right back to me after that as I caught them with my right hand.
"Eevee, use Iron Tail and Shadow Ball combination to finish them, full power!" I said to Eevee. Eevee blasted them with the attacks as they were sent flying to the air.
"We're blasting off again," they screamed as they flew further into the sky. They sound like Team Rocket right now, that will show them not to mess with me.
I suddenly remembered the injured Pokemon in my arms as I examined it's wounds thoroughly and Eevee jumped onto my shoulder. Since no one else is around, maybe I can heal it with my healing ability…
I sat down somewhere as I put my hand over the wounds, healing them completely. The Pokemon slowly woke up and floated around me in curiosity.
"Thank goodness you're alright," I said as I sighed in relief. The Pokemon got curious about Eevee as it flew closer to my Pokemon.
"Vee~" my Pokemon placed its paw on the Pokemon as her way of saying hello.
"Tini~" the mysterious Pokemon cried happily as it flew around my Pokemon.
What is that Pokemon? I've never seen it before, it would've been nice if Rotom's here… I continue thinking about it while watching the two Pokemon playing happily.
After a while, I decided that it was time to head home since it's almost dinner time.
"Eevee, we need to go," I called out as Eevee hops into my arms. I looked at the Pokemon and said, "Hey little guy, we need to go. Please take care of yourself, and be careful of those guys that attacked you, they are very notorious for harassing small Pokemon."
Eevee and I waved the Pokemon goodbye as we left the forest. "I hope we'll see each other again. Goodbye for now," I said smiling under my breath as I continued walking home.
I arrived home as I continue doing my daily night routine after dinner. I never told anyone about what happened just now, I was going to the forest to train and I ended up meeting and saving a mysterious Pokemon.
That night, I went to bed with Eevee. Unknownst to us, we were being watched as a small figure peeked through my bedroom window.
The next day at school was like any other day as the bell rang to signal the end of the school week. We prepared to head to the mansion when suddenly, "Tini~" a familiar cry rang through my ears. Wait, it's that Pokemon.
Everyone else looked around in search of the source as Kiawe asked, "did you guys hear that?"
"Yeah," they said as Eevee's face brightened up happily.
"It's a Pokemon cry," Rotom pointed out.
The Pokemon appeared from its hiding spot as it approached me and Eevee and flew around us in happiness.
"Hey, what's that Pokemon?" Mallow asked, looking at it.
"Wait, I saw it in my books before," Lillie said as she continued, "both a Psychic and Fire Type, it's a Victini." So that's its name…
"Lillie's correct, this is one of the mythical Pokemon," Rotom said as he opened the picture of the Pokemon, "Victini, the Victory Pokemon, a Psychic and Fire Type. It is said that this Pokemon brings victory to anyone who owns it, regardless of the encounter."
'Mythical Pokemon?! I just saved a mythical yesterday?' I thought in shock from what Rotom said.
"Hey, Victini seemed to know Angie and Eevee," Kiawe said, noting how Victini acts.
"Yeah you're right…" Sophocles replied in realisation.
"You know Victini?" Ash asked me in curiosity.
I looked at him as I said sheepishly, "ah, I kind of rescued it when it got harassed by Team Skull yesterday," looking at the Pokemon I continued, "it must've been following me."
"Bzzt. You met and saved Victini?!" Rotom exclaimed.
I looked at Victini and asked, "What are you doing here? Did you follow me all the way here?"
Victini cried in happiness as it landed on top of my head. I looked at Victini in curiosity and asked, "I healed you and sent you back into the wild so why did you choose to follow me?"
"Isn't that obvious?" I heard a voice beside me said. I looked over to see that it was none other than Ash as he continued, "Victini chose you as it's trainer because it saw how deeply you cared for Pokemon, even ones that aren't yours. It sees you as a trainer who can bring out her Pokemon's potential to their fullest."
I looked at him in shock as I turned to Victini, "is that true?"
Victini flew around in circles in happiness as I finally got its message. 'Well in that case…' I thought as I took out an empty master ball that I received from Gladion during my 13 year old birthday, I never got a chance to use it so now's the perfect time.
I looked at Victini as I faced the ball in front of it, "Victini, starting today we'll be partners and friends, we'll grow stronger together. Go, Master Ball." I threw the ball, successfully sucking Victini into it as the ball clicked immediately.
I picked up the master ball, "Alright, I just caught Victini," I twirled in joy as Eevee leapt in happiness.
I threw the master ball up, releasing Victini from its ball as it flew down onto my shoulder.
"Good for you," Ash said smiling.
"Master Balls guarantee the catch of any Pokemon," Rotom pointed out, "and it's extremely rare to find one these days."
"That's the present from Gladion that you never got to use right?" Lillie asked me.
I nodded, "yeah, I couldn't find the right Pokemon for this ball."
Eevee and Victini were playing with one another happily as I smiled, I got a new friend for Eevee and a partner that will grow stronger alongside us. This is the best day of my life…
So this is how Angie and Victini met and it all started when Angie went to the forest to train with Eevee.
