Mystery Unraveled

His head was aching and his stomach twisted. Needing to go to the bathroom, Harry jumped up, much too quickly. Every fiber of his body was protesting his efforts. He should have stayed in bed.

Even in the dark corridors, there was still too much light. He barely managed to keep his eyes open. Stumbling from side to side, supporting himself on the walls, he opened all of the doors, looking for a bathroom.

Eventually finding one, he sank to his knees. There was a loud crack as he washed his face. A tiny House Elf with a shrill voice that made him flinch, handed him a vial of hangover potion. Harry greedily broke the glass of the vial and emptied the liquid in one gulp. Everything in his body felt much nicer at an instant.

Leaving the bathroom, he walked to what looked like the main drawing room. Luna was sitting on the leather couch, letting her legs swing freely. Only she would whistle a joyful melody that early in the morning. Harry sat down next to her.

"You look like you've had a good night." Smiling, she pointed at his neck.

Suddenly feeling very conscious of himself, he placed his hand on his neck. There really was a sore spot and his muscles were aching suspiciously. The longer he was thinking about it the more fuzzy everything got. Why couldn't he remember anything? He tried and tried but the last thing he knew was drinking the awful stuff that Blaise had found. Who had he been with?

Harry left the drawing room and tried to retrace his steps, but with all the doors he had opened now closed, he had no idea in which of the rooms he had been. As he stood there, first Blaise and later Pany was joining Luna in the sitting room.

A kind elf informed them about breakfast that was ready on the terras. Moving there he found Ginny already sitting at the table and Draco joined them a short while after.

"We didn't drink that much, did we?" Ginny asked, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I can't remember anything after dinner."

"Me, neither," Blaise laughed.

"That was your fault," Draco complained, pointing at Blaise. His hair was unusually unkempt and there were marks on his alabaster skin that the sloppily buttoned white shirt didn't cover. "Before you brought this horrible stuff, everything was fine."

Blaise shrugged. "We all drank it without knowing what was in it."

While Harry was glad that he wasn't the only one with memory issues and that they had found the likely cause of the problem. They hadn't drunk that much yesterday, as far as he remembered.

But that still didn't explain what happened. He must have slept with someone. Harry prayed that he wasn't with Ginny, that would be too awkward. It was over between them and he didn't want to mess with their friendship, but he couldn't know for sure.

"A shame, I feel like I've had amazing sex, but I can't remember anything," Ginny said.

This wasn't what Harry wanted to hear. He hoped that maybe she hadn't had slept with someone and he could cross her off the list of suspects. "Did we all have sex last night?"

"It was probably more like today, early in the morning," Luna said. She dug into her scrambled eggs, unbothered by their shared lack of memories.

"I'm not sure," Pansy said, flipping her hair.

Blaise lifted up a silver plate to look at the scratch marks on his muscular back. "Can't say the same."

He looked at Draco.

"None of your business, Potter."

Harry was a little frustrated that Draco hadn't given him a proper answer but he figured that he could cut him off the list anyway. Surely, he would never sleep with Malfoy, no matter how pretty he was and great he thought of himself. He had standards.

Ginny removed some dirt from under her nails. "Do you think that would be your skin?" She leaned over to Blaise.

He turned around and she held her hands against his scratch marks. They seemed to fit really well. They moved their chairs to sit more closely next to each other. Blaise winked at her and Ginny placed her hand on his lap.

"So we only need to find out who the rest of us slept with," Harry said. "Knowing in which room we've been would help. Maybe we could find a few hairs."

Luna and Pansy exchanged a glance.

"That won't be necessary," Luna said, smiling at Pansy.

Harry looked at them quizzically. "I thought you don't remember anything."

"We woke up next to each other," Pansy said, combing through her long hair with her fingers.

He looked at Draco. "What do you want from me? It's not like it meant anything. We don't even remember. I'm sure I had way better sex then with you," Draco insisted with a sneer.

His stomach twisted. Surely there was another alternative. That couldn't be true. He had always hated Draco, that entitled git.

Harry's cheeks were glowing. "How do you even know that? You can't remember, I might have been the best of your life. Without the memory, you can't even blackmail me." Harry stood up facing him. He paid no attention to the others staring at them. This wasn't any of their business.

Draco met his gaze. "Prove it, or are you too scared, Potter?"
