xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hogwarts xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Filius Flitwick hummed as he finished looking over another assignment from his seventh year students. A quick flick of his wand and he saw it was approaching five o'clock, he finished with the parchment and laid it on the stack of completed work before cleaning off his glasses. It was the end of September and like every year he called in his first years one at a time to see how they were getting along. So far none of them had any complaints, well except for the usual one about Snape but of course he couldn't do anything about that.
A knock on his door signified his finally appointment was here. "Enter." The door swung open to relieve Harry Potter coming in with a smile on his face.
"Good evening Professor." Harry said with a small nod as he looked around the room. The office was large, larger than any of the rooms Harry had seen in the castle and he suspected the Professor used charms to enlarge it. The two side walls were lined with floor to ceiling bookshelves that held books and rolls of parchment while the last wall held pictures and certificates of some kind. As Harry approached the desk he saw they were dueling awards along with pictures of Flitwick receiving them, most were in his younger years.
The desk the small professor sat behind was a large mahogany desk with intricate designs carved into it, Harry also noted it had words written in a strange tongue but ignored that.
"Have a seat Mr. Potter." Flitwick said with a gesture to one of his large blue and bronze lounge chairs, made for the students to feel more relaxed and comfortable.
"Thank you sir." Harry replied as he took the seat. "So what can I help you with professor?"
"I am curious how you find Hogwarts Mr. Potter?" The professor asked with a smile. "While I have talked to all the professors about my students I like to hear their thoughts about the school."
Harry leaned back into his chair as he thought about the answer, he knew Flitwick wouldn't run off to Dumbledore if he didn't lie the answer plus he did need a bit of help with his Snape problem. "To be honest professor I'm somewhat disappointed in the school."
"What?" Flitwick replied with bewilderment, never had that been a response from a student. "May I ask why?"
"Well sir many of the classes, such as yours, Transfiguration, Herbology, and Astronomy are excellent but." Harry sighed and combed a hand through his hair. "However that is offset by the horrible teachings in Potions, History and DADA. Not to say the classes themselves are bad just that the professors are not as excellent as the other classes are."
As much as he would like to Flitwick couldn't argue with the statement. "So you think the current professors are not experienced enough in their fields to teach you?"
"Oh no sir." Harry said with shake of his head. "Well at least not entirely. It is my understanding the Professor Snape is one of the best Potion Masters in the world." Harry felt a bitter taste in his mouth at praising the man. "However just because one is experienced does not mean they can teach."
"True." Flitwick said with a sigh and nod. "And Professors Binns and Quirrell?"
"Well sir Professor Binns might have been a great professor but it seems he is stuck on a single topic since his.. demise." Harry said with a lack of a better word. "Professor Quirrell however seems far too nervous to teach."
"I see." Flitwick said with a nod. "And none of this will detour you from returning next year I hope?" He had to hide a small bit of worry from his student; he couldn't stand to think of losing a student let alone the child of one of his most favorites.
Harry let out a chuckle. "No professor, as I've said the other classes are still excellent and I am looking forward to my third year. I just wish to improve my education and that of my peers." Harry smiled as he finished, he really could care less about everyone else's education but it was a good selling point.
"Yes well." Flitwick said carefully. "Not everything can be easily solved." He knew Harry was intelligent and hoped he would get the hint.
"At least not without the proper help." Harry said as he lifted his hand to scratch his chin, showing off his Potter ring. He was also grinning on the inside; it seemed he was right to think not all the professors like the path the school was going down.
Flitwick smiled as well, while he knew why Dumbledore kept Snape around he didn't see why the man couldn't find some replace meant for Binns. The DADA position was an entirely different subject, one of which the professors had all discussed and still not thought up an answer. "Well then, how are you finding Ravenclaw?"
"Well sir." Harry replied to the switch of subjects, making a note to discuss his plans later on with Flitwick. "Everyone is very friendly and I find the atmosphere in the common room peaceful and relaxing."
"Good to hear Mr. Potter." The professor said with a smile. "And if I may ask how goes your side business?"
"Very well professor." Harry grinned. "And I must say congratulations on your big win." To say Harry was surprised when a week ago Flitwick had approached him about placing a bet would be an understatement. The professor had explained he used to bet on dueling in his younger days and saw no reason to not get in on the action; after all it wasn't against the rules.
"Thank you Mr. Potter." Flitwick said with a smile as he stood. "Now then unless you have anything to ask me let us get to the Great Hall for dinner."
Harry shook his head as he stood. "Nothing Professor, let us depart."
Nodding to Harry the duo made their way out of the office and down to the Great Hall. Upon arriving Harry made his way to the Ravenclaw table and saw Hedwig waiting for him in an empty spot between Padma and Terry. "Hello girl." Harry said as he scratched behind her ear with one hand while grabbing the letter off her with the other.
"Who's it from?" Padma asked whole the others all leaned in with curiosity, something Harry was getting tired of.
"Someone." He said as he slipped it into his robes and sat down, luckily no one bothered him about the letter the rest of the meal and instead steered the topic to classes and the next Quidditch match.

Getting back to his room after dinner Harry cast a few revealing charms, something he learned from the memory book, to make sure nothing and no one was in his room that he wasn't aware of. Nodding in satisfaction he pulled out the letter and broke the seal.
Dear Lord Potter,
Upon inspection of Potter Manor we have found it to be in perfect condition. The only wards we found were made to keep muggles from finding and entering the home, however they were not tied to the Manor. Further research shows the house was sealed off because your grandparents suffered from the Dragon Pox, if you are not familiar with the disease you should know that it is contagious. It seems they sealed themselves in so as not to spread the disease and since then the house has stayed empty. I am sorry you had to learn this in a letter and you have my condolences.
We have had the house cleared by medi-wizards and the wards were taken down. We placed powerful ones to protect the Manor until you are able to come and activate the Manor wards yourself. Please contact us when you would like to make the trip so we can remove the temporary wards.
Sincerely,
Adam Wright
Senior Warder of Stone Warding
Harry had a neutral face as he thought about the contents of the letter, on the one hand he was happy the Manor seemed to be fine. On the other though he now finds more of his family has died, letting out a sigh he tore up the letter and then burned it in the waste basket. While it held no real information he wanted to get in the habit of burning everything so no one could gain information on him.
"I will send a reply with Hedwig tomorrow." Harry thought as he made his way to his desk and pulled out a muggle day planner. "I will also have to visit the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures to get some house elves to clean up the manor." Harry paused as a thought came to him. "Flitwick has been very helpful and trustworthy thus far, I bet he can help me with the wards on the Manor." Harry then grinned. "And I bet he'll give me a passing grade when I tell him my theory." Chuckling Harry looked down to notice something that made him smile even more. "I forgot tomorrow was October first." He let out another laugh. "Tomorrow the rebirth of Lord Black begins."
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"Master Malfoy sirs yous has a call on the floos." Lucius Malfoy cracked an eye open to see one of his house elves nervously standing near him. Yesterday he had sealed a very large account for his company and celebrated like normal, which involved consuming large amounts of Firewhiskey. He had left explicit instructions not to be woken before noon, and looking at the grandfather clock in his room it was far from noon.
"Tell them to call later." He replied in a gravelly voice as he rolled over.
"S-s-sirs, they says its important and theys not takes nos for an answer." The frightened elf said, Lucius let out a groan and rose from his bed.
"Very well, fetch me a Hangover Potion." The elf nodded and popped away and back in seconds, now holding a tray with a glass of a clear liquid. Lucius downed it quickly, his face flinched slightly at the bitter taste but soon his head cleared. "Now for waking me early you will iron your hands for twenty minutes, am I understood?"
The elf gulped and nodded. "Yes sirs." It said before popping away. Lucius smiled at the fear the elf showed before standing and grabbing his black silk robe and wand then heading to the foyer. He looked around as he walked and didn't spy his wife but assumed she was in the garden enjoying breakfast as she usually did.
Entering the foyer he spotted a familiar face in the fire place. "Lord Williams, what is so important you needed to wake me so early?"
"Open your floo, we need to talk." Lucius rose an eyebrow at the man's angry tone, most men didn't speak to him in that manner.
"I think over the floo is enough." Lucius said with a frown.
"I am not alone and it will get to confusing to constantly trade off now open the damn floo." Williams grunted out, Lucius frowned again but nodded his head.
"Very well." Lucius waited for the head to disappear then held his wand at his side ready, he didn't like uninvited guest early in the morning.
The floo flared to life and out stepped three men, the first was Lord Albert Williams, a rather portly man with balding grey hair on his head and wearing a deep red robe. Behind him was Lord Gavin Beauclerk, the man was only a few years older the Lucius and had long black hair similar to his blonde. The man was taller than Malfoy but had a much leaner body which was covered in a black robe, of lesser quality then Lucius but expensive. The final man was Lord Alexander Leitch, like Williams he had grey hair but it was short and curly and unlike the other Lord he seemed to be in better shape.
"Gentlemen to what do I owe your unexpected visit?" Lucius asked as he noted all the men seemed upset.
"Don't play coy with us Lucius." Williams snarled as he held up a letter. "What is the meaning of this?"
Lucius cocked an eyebrow and calmly took the letter being waved in his face, looking it over his eyes went wide. "What sort of joke is this Williams?" Lucius tossed the letter back at him. "Some ill attempt to get your money back?"
"You blame this on us?" Beauclerk said as he moved forward and held out his letter. "We were all contacted just like Williams, all nine of us Lucius."
"You told us your son would become Lord Black and that if we paid the debts then we could consider it settled." Williams yelled. "Now we are told there's a new Lord Black."
"Where is your letter Lucius?" Letich asked calmly, unlike the others he knew how to hold in his anger through Occlumency. "If this is not your doing then you will have received one as well."
Lucius's mind was racing but he nodded to the man. "Dobby!"
With a small pop another elf appeared. "Yes sirs Lord Malfoys?"
"Where is this morning's mail?" The creature frowned in thought for a minute then popped away before retuning with several envelopes.
"He sirs." Lucius snatched them quickly and looked through them before finding one similar to the one he had seen. Tearing it open he found it exactly like the others from Gringotts. "Narcissa!"
The three Lords flinched back in shock as Lucius yelled for his wife the stormed from the room, though shocked they quickly followed the blonde.
"What on earth are you yelling for Lucius?" Narcissa asked as he rounded the corner, like Lucius she had long blonde hair but she looked a few years younger than her husband, due to magic beauty products. She too was wearing a morning robe, matching her husbands, and closed it tightly with a gasp as she saw the three other Lords.
"Tell me this is fake?" He said as he pressed the letter into her hand.
Raising a brow in confusion she skimmed the letter, her eyes went wide in surprise like Lucius's as she got to the end. "What sort of joke it this Lucius?" She then rounded on the three Lords. "I do not find this funny gentlemen."
"Nor do we." Alexander replied in a serious tone as he held up his letter. "As you can see we all received one, though only nine of us have lost money."
"Narcissa is this real." Lucius asked as he grabbed her arm and spun her around. "Check the seal."
Narcissa nodded and looked at the Black family crest on the bottom of the letter; she didn't see anything wrong with. "Rose!" She called out to her personal elf, who popped next to her.
"Ma'am?" The elf asked softly.
"Bring me my letter opener." The elf nodded to the order and in the blink of an eye was gone then back again, holding up a beautiful silver letter opener. Narcissa grabbed the blade and pricked her finger to draw blood then wiped it over the seal, if it were fake the seal would do nothing but if it were real it would glow because of her link to the family. To her and Lucius's horror the seal glowed, proving to all it was real.
"Finally!" Williams through up his hands. "Now listen Malfoy we expect you to pay us back all the money we gave you."
"I will do no such thing." Lucius said as he turned to the man but was stopped as Beauclerk spoke.
"We will take this to the Wizengamot if we must Lucius." He said as he stood tall. "And despite your pull there you know as well as I do that we would win this claim."
Lucius grit his teeth because he knew the man was right, he could manipulate votes over a lot of subjects but these men were upstanding purebloods, with no Dark ties like he had, and knew they would win a claim. "Fine." He spat.
"You have one day Lucius." Leitch replied. "And the others are watching the Ministry, so don't think you can run and try to worm your way out of this. You show up we go straight to Bones with our claims, well before you little puppet could try to hide anything." Lucius grit his teeth but nodded. "Lady Malfoy, have a pleasant day. Gentlemen I believe we can see ourselves out."
The other to nodded and followed Alexander back to the foyer, Lucius waited until he heard the sound of the floo being used then spun and drew his wand. "Reducto" A blue light flew from his wand and destroyed the windows behind him.
"Lucius calm yourself." Narcissa said as she looked at the damage.
"Get dressed Narcissa we have a meeting at Gringotts." Lucius said as he moved past her. "Dobby! Clean that mess up before I return or there will be hell to pay!"
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Gringotts xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Lucius and Narcissa appeared through the floo at Gringotts and made a bee line for the nearest goblin teller. "I demand to speak with Ripjaw." Lucius slammed his hand on the counter as he spoke, the goblin looked up with a sneer but nodded.
"This way Wizard." He replied as he jumped off his chair and led them towards the Senior Account Manager's office. All the tellers had been warned that there would most likely be a lot of Wizards coming today to speak with Ripjaw so to be prepared. With a knock the goblin let them into the room.
"Ripjaw what is this about a new Lord Black?" Lucius asked as he moved into the room. "How is this possible?"
"Lord and Lady Malfoy." Ripjaw said with a nod as he closed the ledger he was looking through. "Please have a seat."
"I asked you a question!" Lucius did not like being ignored and was already in a bad mood.
"You will calm yourself Lord Malfoy or I will be forced to have you escorted out." Ripjaw said with a snarl at the blonde man.
"Lucius calm yourself." Narcissa said as she pulled her husband gently back into one of the seats. "Senior Account Manager Ripjaw, we are curious as to who exactly this new Lord Black is." She eyed her husband as he took a calming breath and she could tell he was attempting to use Occlumency to suppress his anger. "As far as I know only my son, Draco, can make that claim."
"With all due respect Lady Malfoy it seems you are wrong." Ripjaw replied.
"So who is this new Lord?" Lucius asked again as he began to reign in his temper.
"That I cannot say." Ripjaw replied, he was enjoying the watching the Malfoys frustration.
"Why not?" Narcissa asked with a huff. "I am a member of the Black Family and have a right to know the name of my new Lord."
"Lord Black made it clear that you are Lady Malfoy now and so have no right to ask." Ripjaw replied with a grin. "He said he will reveal himself when he feels like it."
"He had to give you a name to you to test himself." Lucius replied. "Name your price for it."
Ripjaw let out a chuckle, Harry had predicted this meeting precisely and it amused him. "Actually Lord Orion Black informed me before his death anyone can make a claim for the Black family Lordship, he was well aware they would die if not found worthy." The goblin let out a sigh. "Sadly only the current Lord Black has tried, I was quite hoping to see how the ring would kill unworthy Wizards."
"So you will tell us nothing then?" Narcissa said with an annoyed tone.
"Actually Lord Black informed me I could reveal his name under one condition." Ripjaw said and held back his grin as the Malfoys leaned forward. "If Lord Malfoy swears on his magic to agree for a retrial of his involvement with the group known as Death Eaters, under Veritaserum, he will declare your debt paid to the Black Family."
"What!" Both the Malfoys yelled as they stood. "I was given a trial and have nothing to prove!" Lucius growled out.
"Lord Black thought you would say that." Ripjaw replied with a grin as he pulled out a folded piece of paper and handed it to Lucius. The blonde Wizard snatched it and flipped it open.
Then why won't you agree?
Lucius crushed the paper in his hand and tossed it to the side. He didn't like how things were panning out and his mind raced with possible candidates for the new Lord Black.
"How will this affect us financially?" Narcissa asked as he husband became lost in thought.
Ripjaw again reached into his desk, having known the Malfoys would show up he had there ledger ready. "With the debt you owe you will lose a third of your vault."
"What?" Narcissa almost yelled with wide eyes, she knew the debt was there but never how much. She rounded on Lucius. "How could it possibly get that high?"
"The war was costly to my business." Lucius sighed out as ran a hand through his hair. "Plus afterwards I need to bribe and convince certain people of my innocence to keep doing business with them."
Narcissa took a deep breath and gripped her chair; she had already lost herself to her anger today and didn't need to get more riled up. "Very well, we will still be richer then several houses and will not lose our seat in the Wizengamot."
"We must also pay back the money already paid to us by these Lords." Lucius tossed a piece of parchment on the table; he had written it before they left the manor. "They paid all in the same year, I am not sure of the dates though."
"I will find it Lord Malfoy." Ripjaw said as he grabbed the parchment. "And send the money to their vaults."
"Very well, come Narcissa." Lucius said as he rose and began leaving, his wife pausing only slightly before following behind him.
Instead of heading to the floo Lucius guided them out the main doors and into Diagon Alley. Neither spoke as they moved through the crowds, after a minute of walking Lucius led Narcissa into an empty alley way.
"Go back to the Manor." Lucius ordered. "Despite what the goblin says you are of Black blood and have a right to meet your Lord. Write to him and request a meeting."
She gave him a nod. "What will you be doing?"
"The goblins have to send in notice of new Lords to the Ministry." Lucius smirked. "I'm going to go find the new Lord Blacks name." Narcissa smiled at the idea.
"See what happens when you calm down and actually think." She said as rubbed his arm. "We could have avoided meeting with the goblins altogether."
"No I had to give Ripjaw the order to move our funds." Lucius said with a small frown. "On that note plan a party for Halloween, when news of this spreads I want to show everyone it does not bother us."
"Of course." Narcissa replied with a nod. "I will make it better than the Ministry Yule Ball."
"Good, now go I want this mystery solved before that party." Narcissa nodded and moved away from Lucius, with a loud crack she apparated to the Manor. Lucius took a deep breath before turning back to the main street and heading towards the Ministry.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
An hour later an angry Lucius flooed back into his home and stormed through the house. "Dobby!"
"Yes Lords Malfoys?" The elf asked as he appeared next to the Wizard.
"Where is my wife?"
"In the sitting room sirs." Dobby replied with a shaky voice.
"Be gone then." Lucius commanded before walking through the hall and soon found Narcissa.
"Well?" She asked when she saw him walking into the room.
"He is more clever then I thought." Lucius replied begrudgingly. "It seems the goblins only need to notify the Ministry there is a new Lord not supply a name."
"Damn." Narcissa said with clenched fists. "I have sent the letter; we will wait and see what his response is."
With another sigh Lucius walked to the window and looked out. "Hopefully we will receive some answers, I don't like this Narcissa. Who could have possibly taken the mantle of Lord Black?"
"I do not know." She replied with a frown. "I can think of no one."
After a moment of silence Lucius frowned. "Draco must be told."
Narcissa sighed. "He will not take this well, you have been promising him he will be both Lord Black and Lord Malfoy for years."
"Send him a letter, at least then we won't have to hear his whining." Lucius replied as he turned and left the room. "I will be in my office."
Narcissa nodded absently while turning to the small table in the room, she decided to get the letter to Draco over with now while it was fresh in her mind.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hogwarts xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Harry smirked as he looked over the letter he had received during lunch. "So the Malfoys want to meet, the question is should I or not?" Harry knew eventually he would have to revel himself, after all at the winter Wizengamot meeting he had to present himself as both Lord Potter and Black. "I will not meet them."He decided after a second. "I gain nothing from it besides a laugh and the humor of revealing it in a place he will lose face if he reacts badly in front of the whole Wizengamot is far greater."
Chuckling to himself Harry tossed the letter into the waste basket and burned the letter.
xxxxxxxxxxxx Kielder Forest, England xxxxxxxxxxx
A loud crack filled the area as four figures appeared in a clearing in the middle of the Kielder Forest. Deer, birds and squirrels all ran from the area at the noise, though if they were capable they would wonder why the smallest figure was lying on his stomach cursing.
"Damn stupid apparation." Harry muttered as he stood and began wiping his robes free of dirt. The three warders with him struggled to hold back their laughter; after all they did not want to upset such an important client. Of course finding out the Boy-Who-Lived couldn't handle apparation was hard to not laugh about.
"Are you alright Lord Potter?" Adam Wright asked.
"Fine." Harry said as he looked around the forest. "Which way?"
"This way your Lordship." Adam said as he pointed to his left.
Nodding Harry began to walk as the three warders took position behind him. He had to admit the forest was quite beautiful and he was sure he was going to enjoy living here during the summer. Soon enough Harry could see a clearing just past a tree line but when he walked out there was nothing but open space.
"Threw up a ward to hide the Manor." Adam said from behind Harry. "That way even if anyone found your home they wouldn't be able to see it. Boys!" With the command the trio all held out their wands and began casting several different spells, even speaking some in Latin. Suddenly a large blue dome appeared in the clearing; Harry could just make out the shadow of Potter Manor on the other side of it but barley. Another minute of casting and the wards fell, Harry's eyes went wide and he took in a breath at the site before him.
Potter Manor was a large white stone building, though spots showed weathering and were not as bright as others. While the building was tall it only had two floors of windows visible, leading Harry to believe the rooms had high ceilings. To the left of the house was arched walkway that led to a detached building similar in design to the manor and Harry wondered what it was.
"Amazing." Harry said with a bit of ah in his voice.
"That it is Lord Potter." Adam said, causing Harry to remember that the men were still there. "Now will you be needing us to stay and apparate you anywhere?"
"No, I have a portkey to travel back to the Ministry and from there I can floo to Hogwarts." Harry replied with a shake of his head.
"Very well sir." Adam said as he stuck out his hand. "It was a pleasure working with you and I hope you will contact us if you ever need any warding done."
"Of course." Harry nodded to the man. "Have a good afternoon gentlemen." He then turned and made his way to his new home, though moving slowly until he heard the three cracks signifying the men had all apparated home. Picking up his pace Harry soon found himself at the front door and with a deep breath pushed open the door.
Instantly lanterns sparked to life and the drawn curtains snapped open to let in the light. Harry examined the small room he was in, all white walls on each side with a dull gold trim bordering it. To his left was a massive fireplace, for floo travel he assumed, while on its opposite was a large picture frame. A small part of Harry hoped it was a magical portrait of a family member but when he stood in front of it he saw the Potter Family crest. With a sigh Harry cleared his throat.
"Potter family elves!" Harry called out, when he went to the Ministry to discuss buying elves he found it was far easier then he would have thought. When families die out or simply get rid of elves they are given jobs for the Ministry. The can range from working in the Ministry to cleaning up the streets of Diagon Ally. Of course when the Boy-Who-Lived came requesting elves only the best could be found, apparently a rather distinguished Wizard had died recently and his elves were found homeless. Harry had inquired about the man and learned he was a former Ravenclaw and made his living writing books on different Wizard cultures. His elves we all reported as healthy so Harry bought them. Five pops were heard and Harry looked down to see his five new elves smiling up at him in excitement.
"Yes Master Potters?" They all asked as one and Harry chuckled at them.
"First I will have your names." Harry ordered as he pointed to the one farthest to the left. "Starting with you."
"Frigg sir."
"Odin sir."
"Ra sir."
"Zeus sir."
"Hathor sir."
Harry blinked as he heard the names, in the memories every house elf he saw had odd names. "Those are.. interesting names."
"Old master gives thems to us." Ra said with a smile. "He says they more distinguished then old names."
Harry nodded. "The names of gods I believe, hmm interesting." Harry looked them over. "You like these names?"
The elves looked at each other then back at Harry. "We will be called anything Master wants to call us." Harry sighed figuring the creatures wouldn't be easy.
"Keep them." The elves all looked happy. "Now what are your preferred skills?" They gave him a blank stare. "What chores do you like?"
"Ra likes to garden!"
"Frigg like to make food!"
"Odin is good at dusting Master!"
"Hathor can clean your clothes!"
"Zeus can help Master with anything!"
"Silence!" Harry snapped as they all answered together, they quickly shut up and Harry took a deep breath. "Ra you will tend the grounds, Frigg is in charge of the kitchens, Odin will maintain the house while Hathor does laundry and anything Odin can't handle." He then turned to Zeus. "You will be my personal elf; do you know if you can follow me to Hogwarts?"
"Yes Master Potter sirs." Zeus said with a big smile.
"Very well." He then turned to the others. "Take your time to familiarize yourselves with the Manor while I walk around. If you find we need anything let me know so I can get it to you before I return to Hogwarts." The elves nodded before popping away to inspect the Manor. "Come Zeus." Harry said as he walked past the elf. "Let's inspect our new home."
