In a small room, Aichi laid in a bed with a breathing mask on. They constantly kept giving him sleeping gas to keep him asleep. An IV was still attached to him and the tube for blood collection was reinserted. Kureto stood above him menacingly.

"Lieutenant General, he is quite weak at the moment. It might be safer to delay for another day," the doctor beside him said while looking at the monitoring machines.

Guren kicked open the door and walked inside the room. Kureto turned to him with a glare. "I thought I moved you and your squad to Shinjuku," he said with a deep voice as Guren walked to Aichi's bedside.

"Well, you also assigned me to teach the trainees," Guren responded before pulling the breathing mask off. "Where did you take the blood? Such a small spill should not be all you've taken." Kureto pulled out his sword and pointed it at Guren as he reached for the tube that they just reinserted.

"Someone informed me of a strange attack just outside the city. They seemed to have been attracted to some blood found inside a former subway platform," Kureto explained.

"So you are going to kill him?"

"He will know his place," Kureto answered. Guren moved his hand away. In response, Kureto sheathed his sword.

"Your obsession with controlling him will kill him. If you don't let him rest, you may regret your decision," Guren said before leaving the room. The doctor didn't dare speak a word, but he wanted some confirmation on what he was going to do.

"Lieutenant General, will you-?" The doctor began asking passively. Kureto slammed his sheath on the ground which scared him to death.

"Let him rest until his condition stabilizes," Kureto ordered him before storming outside. The doctor was left in the room alone looking relieved. The doctor turned to Aichi who was still asleep.

For three days, Aichi's condition was slowly getting better. He didn't wake up until the morning of the fourth day. He felt extremely lethargic. "The lab..." he identified. He slowly turned his head and saw his sword and sheath inside a glass tube. It was suspended in the air by chains and covered by spell tags.

"Blaster Blade..." he muttered while weakly reaching his hand out to the direction. When he called out, the sword began releasing electricity. Aichi fought his body's exhaustion and numbness as he dragged himself out of the bed. He fell on the floor with a thud. When he fell, the IV stand also fell down. Soon some people in white coats ran in and pulled him back on the bed.

"Make sure the spell tags stay on the sword. Lieutenant General Hiragi doesn't want him to get any strength from his demon." The spell tags that were originally on the sword were browned from the heat created by the electricity.

They quickly cleaned everything up as if nothing happened. "Lieutenant Sendou, we need to do some tests. Please stay put." Aichi was in a laying position and did a thorough check-up on him. There were four doctors hovering over him and each of them had a nurse assisting them.

All Aichi could do was just lay there. "Do you have any pain anywhere in your body?"

"No..." Aichi answered weakly. He wasn't really comfortable since they usually don't talk to him. One of the doctors shone a light in his eyes.

"His eyes are still really yellow. There will be a risk to begin blood connection right now."

"Lieutenant, are you feeling more nauseous or faint than usual?"

"I feel a little worse than usual..." Aichi answered. There were some doctors taking his blood pressure and looked at his numbers.

"Sixty over forty. It is better than this morning," one of the doctors commented after reading the numbers.

"If we were to wait until it is back to normal, it may take months to return back to normal numbers."

"His demon usually helps his recovery speed significantly. We should ask Lieutenant General Hiragi if we could remove the spell tags. It will be best for the patient and increase the supply."

"He knows that... And yet he is still willing to keep the demon sealed up with those spell tags. He must also know that Lieutenant Sendou has a mission coming up as well, so he must have planned for it." Aichi relaxed since they weren't making an effort to talk to him anymore and soon fell asleep again.

The next time Aichi woke up, he found himself in a hospital room. His sword was released from the spell tags and laying beside him. He felt relieved and slowly turned his head to see Kai sitting at his bedside reading some documents. "Kai…" Aichi muttered. Kai turned to him. "Why are you here…? Weren't you on a mission…?" He asked drowsily.

"We're back already. They kept you here for the entire week we were gone," Kai responded. He didn't seem to know that they actually took Aichi to the lab.

"I don't think it is important to tell him..." Aichi thought to himself. He didn't want anyone to get angered and confront the lieutenant general for him again.

Aichi sat up and stretched. He felt pretty weak and when he tried to stand up, his legs couldn't support him normally. Kai caught Aichi before he could fall. "Be careful, you just woke up. You'll go back to how you were soon with Blaster Blade around," Kai assured him before helping him onto a wheelchair. Kai handed Aichi his sword for him to hold and wheeled him out of the room. They soon reached the outdoors and found a car right outside the entrance.

Kai helped Aichi into the passenger seat before getting into the driver's seat. "Kai… I remember there was a nurse that was trying to stand up for me against Lieutenant General Hiragi. Is she alright?" Aichi asked nervously.

"We found her on the streets when we got back with a boy that she said was her little brother. We took her to the orphanage and now she is working there as a caretaker," Kai explained to him.

"Can we go see her? I want to thank her," Aichi requested childishly.

"You need to eat something first. You've been living off IV drops for a week," Kai responded.

"I'm alright. I'm not really hungry," Aichi assured him with a smile. He felt the unpleasant aura around Kai. "Okay… but can we go after…?" He asked.

"I'm going to start driving," Kai warned him while starting the engine. It wasn't really much of an answer, but Aichi felt like he was trying to prove something to him. When they began moving, he suddenly felt a wave of dizziness and held his head.

"How do you expect to meet them in this state?" Kai scolded him. Aichi's face was getting paler and paler. They soon made it to their house and Kai helped Aichi inside. He supported Aichi's right side while Aichi help onto his sheath tightly.

"Kai," Miwa greeted from the door before seeing how sick Aichi looked.

"He said he was dizzy," Kai informed him before Miwa supported Aichi's other side and took the sheath out of his hand. He placed the sword beside the couch and together, they laid Aichi on the couch comfortably.

"Bro…" Kamui said while sitting in front of him. Aichi was shivering and barely able to stay awake. Kai brought over a blanket and pulled it over him to keep him warm. Misaki brought over a bowl of rice gruel and a small container.

"What is that, Misaki?" Miwa asked her while pointing at the container.

"They are iron supplements," Misaki answered.

"Wow! Where did you get them?" Naoki asked as Misaki began feeding Aichi who was struggling to eat.

"The Lieutenant Colonel is providing it. It's not like Lieutenant General Hiragi would give him something like this," Misaki answered. After finishing his food, Aichi took the iron supplements and fell asleep.

"We should get him in bed and let him rest," Miwa suggested. He and Kai gently carried Aichi into his bed. He stayed asleep throughout the move. "They really are brutal with him, aren't they? Shouldn't they care for his health more?" Miwa asked while sitting at Aichi's bedside.

"Emi…" Aichi muttered in his sleep. A tear ran down his face which made his squad members' heart sink.

"He's dreaming about that again..." Naoki commented sadly.

"There is still no information on where she is... Do you think Guren is hiding something, or do you think she is really gone?" Kamui asked sadly.

"Let's not talk about it here. If we keep talking about it, he might hear us. I'm sure if Guren is hiding something from us, it is for a reason," Misaki responded.

"Alright, let's go! The trainee class has already started and we should see who we will end up working with," Miwa suggested. Everyone didn't seem like they wanted to go, but they left the room anyway.

They heard a knock on the door. Misaki opened the door to see Yuri standing there with a bag. "Yuri, you're here. Sorry for asking you to come in such short notice," Misaki apologized to her and letting her in.

"No problem. I brought some fruits for him to eat," Yuri responded. She put the plastic bag she was carrying on the kitchen table. She noticed the entire squad was hesitant to leave. "I'll take care of Aichi while you're gone. You should see who you will be working with. You'll be going on your mission soon. If you're worried about me, we have more help at the orphanage now, so I can stay here until you come back."

"Thanks! We'll be back as soon as we can," Miwa responded with a smile. They left and walked to the training building that wasn't too far from their house.

"Wow! This place has really gotten big, hasn't it? Remember when we were training in a big open space with uneven concrete?" Miwa commented while looking around.

"It's not surprising that a lot has change. We haven't been here in a long time," Misaki responded with a smile.

When they walked into a hallway, they felt a strong miasma. They knew they were quite a distance away from the classroom still. "That's a cursed gear, right?" Naoki asked for reassurance.

"It has to be..." Kamui responded before they all ran to the room the miasma was coming from. They opened the door and saw Guren with his sword unsheathed. Almost all of the students were unconscious except for four.

"Um… what is going on here, Guren?" Miwa asked him casually but also nervously.

"Great timing," Guren commented before sheathing his sword. When he did, the miasma instantly disappeared. "Everyone who is still conscious, you'll get a cursed gear of the same series as mine and you'll be joining the Sendou Squad for your first mission!" Guren announced.

"What? They are nowhere near ready," Kai disagreed coldly. Guren turned to him and gave an intimidating stare. He looked at the rest of the squad who looked like they all agreed with him.

"I agree with Kai. They aren't ready. They haven't recieved enough training since all they've done is the written examination," Misaki agreed.

"They will be fine sticking with us, but afterwards, they won't last long without more training. As they are right now, they might not even be strong enough to get their cursed gear," Naoki added. They did make a point since Yu and Kimizuki were just barely able to stay conscious. The four didn't say a single word to rebutt what they said.

"So are you trainees just going to take their comments like that? If you don't even have the resolve to question us, then you'll never make it out there!" Kamui exclaimed. It was clear that they all agreed that they weren't ready and they would just die if they went out there.

"We-!" Yoichi began nervously. "We can do this! We are ready!"

"I hope you guys know the risk of trying to get your cursed gear so early in training. If you get possessed by the demon, we'll kill you and everything will be over for you," Miwa said with a scratch on his head.

"Like I will give up this chance to kill vampires!" Yu shouted while mustering the strength to stand.

"The kids made their decision. They know the risks and are willing to die for it. Let's go," Guren said before walking out of the classroom. Kai walked beside Guren as they headed to the place where the cursed gears were sealed. "How is your squad leader?" He asked.

"Sick," Kai responded briefly.

"At least he is alive," Guren nodded.

"What happened while we were gone. I thought if we left, that jerk would let him recover. We weren't even gone so long?" Naoki asked him.

"Well, our sweet lieutenant colonel went to make sure he was okay personally. I heard rumours that he was going to get ruffed up in there," Sayuri explained with a chuckle. Guren turned away with an annoyed look as everyone there except for Kai looked at him.

Guren coughed after remembering the four trainees were with them and said, "he must be more sick than usual. They sealed his demon while he was recovering."

"He'll be fine soon, he will bounce back quickly now that Blaster Blade is with him again," Kai said with a sigh.

"Well, Aichi did choose to give all the blood they need in a short time and go on missions. He could have taken it slowly and stayed at the lab instead," Sayuri commented.

"Like bro would do that! Also, he probably wouldn't be treated much differently as he is now," Kamui said angrily. They took an elevator down to a really low floor and walked down a hallway to a sealed door.

Meanwhile at home, the first thing Yuri did was take a few heating packs from the closet and heat them up one by on in their microwave. She then began putting them under Aichi's blanket so that he could stay warm. He was shivering a lot even with a blanket covering his entire body.

While she was putting the heating packs, she kept hearing the name, "Emi". This made her make a sad expression.

After she finished, Yuri peeled some fruits and cut them up for Aichi to eat. While she was peeling it, she seemed deep in thought. So deep in thought that she accidently cut her finger a little. She looked a little depressed before the necklace that was around his neck. The ornament on the necklace was simply a silver plate, but it seemed to mean a lot of her.

"I'm still looking over little Aichi..." she said to herself with a sad smile before finding a bandaid in a drawer. She walked to Aichi's room with the fruit plate in hand and looked inside. Aichi was still fast asleep and she was glad Aichi wasn't shivering anymore.

"Aichi, I cut some fruits for you. Wake up to eat a little," Yuri said while taking a toothpick to pick up one of the diced apple pieces.

Aichi slowly opened his eyes, his eyes still a little watery. "Yuri... where are the others...?" he asked her before biting the apple that was held in front of him.

"They wanted to see the trainees with their own eyes, so they went to the training facility," Yuri answered with a sigh before holding another one to him.

Aichi noticed the bandaid on her finger and some red of blood darkening part of it. "Did you accidently cut your finger...?"

"It's just a small cut. I guess I was thinking of something else while I was cutting this apple," she answered him with a forced smile. Aichi was able to understand was probably happened.

"Sorry... I keep having that dream..." Aichi apologized to her while looking away.

"It's nothing. We've all lost a lot with this virus and war against the vampires," Yuri responded while fondling with the silver plate on his necklace. Aichi nodded and he finished eating the fruits in silence. "Get some more sleep. I'll be here until they come back, so just call me if you need anything."

Aichi nodded and said, "thank you". She left the room leaving the door open and he soon fell asleep again.

When it was dark, everyone returned home. They waked inside and saw that Yuri's shoes were at the entrance still. The backyard light was open, so they went to see who was in it. It was Yuri and she was hanging up some laundry. "Oh! You're back. When was the last time you guys did your laundry? Why did you just throw them in the laundry basket?" She scolded them after seeing them all at the sliding door.

"We just came back this morning... we do it later once we had time to cool down," Naoki answered with his arms behind his head.

"Thank you again for watching over Aichi while we were gone. Did anything happen?" Misaki asked her.

"I had him eat something for dinner. Other than that, he just slept. That's how he usually is when he like this so I wasn't worried," Yuri explained. She was soon finished hanging all the clothes up and headed back inside.

They all want to check on Aichi together and saw that he was indeed still in a deep sleep. "It is really amazing how much strength he can get back just from laying there for a day," Miwa commented as a joke.

"Blaster Blade really makes miracles happen," Kamui said. They turned to the sword that was leaning on Aichi's bed. They group nodded happily before leaving to do their own thing. Once in a while, someone would check on him, but all he did was sleep soundly.

The next day, Aichi woke up to find that it was already about noon. He sat up and was feeling almost one hundred percent after sleeping for the entire day. He walked outside of his room and found everyone there. "Bro! You're awake! Do you feel better?!" Kamui asked excitedly.

"I'm feeling a lot better. So how does the schedule look?" Aichi asked while looking over to Misaki.

"In three days, we have a mission with the new squad. After that we are going to head over to Shinjuku. They think that the vampires may attack there soon," Misaki informed him.

"Okay..." Aichi responded. He didn't sound too excited when he heard they were going to Shinjuku afterward.

"Hey, Aichi! We should go to the training facility together. You've been in the hospital so you should train a little," Naoki suggested to him to lighten up the mood.

"Bro! I want to too. It's been a while since we sparred," Kamui agreed excitedly.

"I guess I'll go too then," Miwa added.

Aichi smiled and nodded. "Okay. I want to visit the orphanage first so let's go after."

"Sure thing. I'm so pumped!" Naoki agreed. He was excited to spare with Aichi again. The four headed to the door, but stopped with a jump when they heard a loud bang. They turned and saw Misaki walking over to them angrily.

"Before you guys go... eat at something first! Don't just run off!" Misaki scolded them loudly. She dragged all four of them back inside and sat them on the table. "Do you think you guys could train when you haven't eaten all day?!" She added.

"Sorry, Misaki," Aichi apologized to her with a childish smile to calm her down.

"Just eat and go," Misaki responded with a sigh. They ate quietly together.

When they were done, the four left the house and headed to the orphanage. "Bro, we visited when we came back. They seem bery worried about you," Kamui warned him before they reached the yard. All of the children were playing outside, but dropped everything when they noticed Aichi.

"Aichi!" They called while jumping into his arms in tears.

"How have you guys been?" Aichi asked with a smile. They all looked up at him with sad expressions. "What's wrong?" He asked worried.

"Ms. Yuri said that you were really sick yesterday! And Ms. Misaki and the others came to visit us without you! Are you better now?"

Aichi smiled and ruffled their hair. "Of course I'm alright now," he assured them gently. "I'm going inside, you should continue playing," he said.

"We'll come with you!"

"Okay, but I'll be doing some boring stuff. Are you sure that you want to come?" Aichi warned. They all looked at each other before nodding in agreement. "Okay... let's head inside together then," he said. Aichi, Naoki, Miwa, Kamui and the army of kids walked inside. "How are you treating your new caregiver? You aren't causing trouble for her, are you?" He asked teasingly.

"They all behave and welcomed me kindly," a woman assured him from the door. She was carrying a basket of clothes with a smile. "Hello, Lieutnenant Sendou. I never got the chance to thank you for saving my brother such a long time ago," she said with a bow. She forgot she was holding a basket of laundry so it all fell on the ground.

"It was nothing. I would like to thank you for trying to speak to General Hiragi on my behalf. However, please don't do that again. I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble," he apologized to her. He knelt down and helped pick up the clothes from the ground.

"No! Don't apologize. Take it as a thank you for saving my brother and all you have done for these kids," she assured him happily. They got up together after collecting the clothes and walked to the living room together. There was small boy in there. He was playing on the ground all alone and noticed Aichi and the others walk inside.

"Aichi!" He called happily got up and jumping into Aichi's arms.

"This is my brother. He has been dying to see you again," she teased his bother.

"Sis!" The boy whined.

"It's nice to see you again. You look bigger than the last time I saw you," Aichi commented with a smile.

"Really?! You remember me?" The boy asked excitedly.

"I remember the faces of everyone," Aichi responded happily while turning to everyone around him.

"Wow! Really?! That's so cool!" The kids cheered. Aichi laughed and played with them for a little while.

"It's always lively whenever Aichi comes," Yuri commented with a sigh. She watched as Aichi was trying to give all of them his attention.

"Seems so. I guess he is the one that ultimately saves them though. He's our leader and he makes all the calls," Miwa agreed.

"But bro is too nice sometimes. It sometimes gets him into trouble," Kamui added.

"I'm so hyped to spar with Aichi! I can't wait any longer!" Naoki said like he really couldn't contain his excitement any longer.

"Hey, Aichi! We should get going soon! This guy is at his limit!" Miwa called while pointing at Naoki.

Aichi nodded before smiling the children. "I need to go now. Be good, okay? Don't cause trouble for Ms. Yuri and your new caretaker, okay?" He said.

"Okay!"

"But, Aichi… when are you coming back?"

"Um… I think we're going on another expedition to bring back more family for all of you, so I'll be back a little later," Aichi explained to them gently.

"Oh… be careful okay?"

"I will. Of course," Aichi assured while giving them a hug. He soon let them go and began to leave the building. The army followed closely behind to the gates. He waved at them before getting into the car and driving off.

"Aichi, if you continue being too nice to those kids, they'll always be this attached to you," Naoki commented.

"I know, but it feels like we are all family… You guys… the kids… Misaki, Kai… everyone…" he said sincerely.

"You're right, we are a family," Miwa agreed with a nod.

"Why are you bringing this up so sadly? Of course we are family!" Naoki exclaimed while putting his arm over Aichi's shoulder. Aichi looked at each other them and giggled. "Hey! What's so funny?!"

"It's just that... you're completely right. I'm happy to have this family," Aichi responded with a childish smile.

When they reached the training facility, they found Yoichi practicing with his cursed gear. He was shooting some targets on the far side of the training room. They all walked to him and waved. "Hey! You're one of those trainees that passed. This is our leader," he said while turning to Aichi.

"Hey Saotome, it has been a while… I couldn't get back in time to teach all of you. I'm sorry for not being there," Aichi apologized to him regretfully.

"No, it wasn't your fault. Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to teach us in the first place," Yoichi responded.

Aichi scratched his head. "I only came to one class. I wasn't able to teach anything."

"Hey! Aichi! Let's start already!" Naoki whined while waving around his cursed gear.

Aichi laughed. "Okay. Let's do it over there," he suggested while pointing at the other side of the room. He sparred with Naoki first. They were both using their cursed gears and they looked to be having fun. It didn't take long for Aichi to end it by holding his sword right in front of Naoki's neck.

"Okay… you win, Aichi!" Naoki said nervously while dropping his sword. Aichi pulled back, and sheathed it slowly and carefully with a smile. "Wow, Aichi. Are you sure you were that sick yesterday?" He asked him. He was surprised of how easy Aichi beat him.

"I was… I really couldn't stand yesterday. You know that Blaster Blade helps me recover quicker... you don't need to bring it up here," Aichi answered, sounding embarrassed.

"Looks like we will need to go three on one again to have a chance of defeating him," Miwa commented while scratching his head.

"Let's try it. What do you think, bro?" Kamui asked him.

"Okay, but let's use wooden swords and the paintball gun," Aichi agreed. Yoichi was trying his best to keep his attention on his training, but the upcoming fight was very distracted. He watched the fight, it seemed like his movements were slower and weaker than before.

Miwa and Naoki swung at Aichi while Kamui was shooting at him. It looked like a hard fought battle, but it ended with Aichi being hit by a paintball after picking off Naoki.

"Blaster Blade helped me get most of my strength back, but I think I still need his help to win these fights," Aichi commented while lightly swinging his wooden sword.

"This is after not training for weeks..." Miwa reminded him while patting Aichi's back.

"I don't think Blaster Blade normally lends this much power to me..." Aichi placed the wooden sword back on the stand and pulled out Blaster Blade. He turned and opened up his uniform shirt a little to show that his mark was glowing. "It normally doesn't glow."

"I guess not," Miwa said as Aichi buttoned up his uniform again. "Alright, let's try again. You'll be fighting with Blaster Blade out there, might as well practice with it." He turned to make sure Naoki and Kamui agreed.

"I'll be careful..." Aichi smiled before moving into his battle stance again. Yoichi took a few glances at how flawless his form was while using his cursed gear. He was able to win this time with now injuries on anyone.

"Maybe Yu could learn something from him…" Yoichi thought before starting to shoot his bow again.

"Hey, newbie! Can you give us a hand? You can use your bow, but just make sure to use the training arrows! You know, the ones with the rubber endings!" Naoki requested. Yoichi turned to Aichi to ask for his opinion and he just nodded with a smile.

And so, Yoichi also joined in, but Aichi still beat them all. This time with more trouble. "Saotome, you really improved. Keep up the good work and start working on your angled shots," Aichi commented happily. He was happy to see that Yoichi got better while he was away. He sheathed his sword and fondled the handle before continuing to talk.

"I am looking forward to be working with your squad in our next few missions. Next time, let's bring everyone and train together," he suggested insistently.

"I'll talk to them about it. I am not sure if we'll take that offer yet," Yoichi responded nervously.

"Right... you guys will get a new member soon. Squads usually have five members," Naoki commented.

"Well… our squad is an exception because bro took me under his wing and personally asked for me to join the squad," Kamui said proudly.

"That's right we are a six member squad…" Aichi remembered after counting everyone in his head.

While they were talking, a nurse walked into the viewing area. "Lieutenant Sendou, we have some medicine you need to take from now until you leave on your mission. The instructions are in the bag." She looked like she came a long way to find him, so Aichi went to her. He jumped up and caught the railing before pulling himself up and onto the bleachers.

"Thank you very much," Aichi thanked her before taking the bag.

"Lieutenant Sendou, you shouldn't be moving around so much right now. Your body still needs time to recover," she scolded him.

"I am feeling a lot better," Aichi responded with a reassuring smile.

"Your eyes are still a little yellowish and your complexion is still pale. Don't push yourself too hard, you still have plenty of time before your mission," she explained to him.

"Okay… I'll go home right now. Thank you for your concern," Aichi thanked her again with a bow. She turned to leave.

"Wait, we were just wondering. Who is providing this medicine?" Naoki asked. Aichi turned to the side to see Miwa, Kamui, and Naoki walking towards him from the normal entrance. Although they really only knew a few people that would give him all this medicine and suppliments for free, they just wanted to confirm.

"Compliments from Lieutenant Colonel, Guren Ichinose," she answered jokingly before leaving. Aichi smiled and held onto the bag tightly.

"Where is Saotome?" He asked them.

"He said something about needing to see Yu," Naoki answered.

"Oh, okay. We should be heading out now anyway," Aichi responded with a smile. They began to file out of the building.

"I guess your blood tests results came in then," Miwa commented while looking at the bag. Aichi opened the bag a little so that they could have a better look at what was inside. They saw a clipboard and a bottle of pills. He pulled up the clipboard to see what was inside the gigantic stack of paper. The first page was his blood test results with deficiencies highlighted clearly. There were also medicine dosage instructions, mission notes and schedules in the stack as well.

"Let's see here. There are bottles of supplements and a novel worth of paper for Misaki and Kai to read," Miwa identified after looking at what was left inside the bag.

"Don't tell them about it. I don't want them to read these things for me this time," Aichi responded while flipping through the pages. The three made sure that he didn't bump into anything while his head was buried into the pages. They soon reached the car and they began to drive home.

"Bro... I think Kai and Misaki will insist on reading that for you. There isn't really a point in trying to keep it from them because it is so big that it is impossible to hide," Kamui said while looking at how big the package was. Aichi was so focused on speed reading that he wasn't giving him much attention.

"I don't want to bother them," Aichi responded. "And since I'm a lieutenant, I should start doing stuff I'm suppose to do... like reading stuff like this..." he added while continuing.

"Aichi is stubborn, there is no reasoning with him. If he says he wants to do something, he does it," Naoki said while leaning back on his seat. They all sighed and just allowed him to read as much as he could before they got home. He continued reading as they walked inside the house.

"How did training go?" Misaki asked them after seeing everyone walk inside.

"Aichi kicked our butts again. Nothing new," Naoki answered playfully. Kai walked over since Aichi was so focused. He looked over his shoulder to see what he was reading even though he had a good idea of what it was.

"Let Tokura and me read it. Why do you even bother?" Kai sighed before pulling the clipboard out of Aichi's hands.

"No, it's fine. I want to read it this time," Aichi responded while trying to snatch it back.

"Are you sure? You should be getting as much rest as possible," Misaki said. Kai took the time to just walk away with it.

"We'll take care of this one. You can read the ones after the mission," Kai added with a sigh.

"Kai!" Aichi whined while walking over to try to take it back again. Kai growled slightly angrily while holding it as high as he could so that it was out of his reach.

"You're going to be useless out there if you're still feeling sick," Kai said coldly. "Do you think that no one noticed how pale you look? Just go to sleep," he added before turning away from Aichi and beginning to read the papers.

"Okay..." Aichi looked down sadly and walked to his room.

"Bro… hey, you jerk! You should have said that nicer!" Kamui shouted angrily. Kai ignored him and continued reading the papers.

"Don't bother them for now..." Misaki whispered quietly.

Later that day, Kamui and Naoki checked on Aichi. As usual, the door was wide open, so they were relieved that he wasn't that mad. "Bro… dinner is ready," Kamui said before looking into Aichi's room. They noticed that Aichi was fast asleep on his stomach. His sword and sheath were still attached to his belt, so it just seemed like he just passed out once he got inside his room.

"Aichi... wake up to eat," Naoki said while shaking him.

"Emi… I'll eat later… I feel so tired…" Aichi muttered while shaking them off.

"He thinks we're his sister…" Naoki whispered. They waited a little longer to see if Aichi would wake up. However, they realized... he was not going to.

Kai stood in the doorway watching the scene. He still looked like he was in a bad mood, but he sighed and walked inside. He detached Aichi's sheath from his belt before flipping him over and tucking him in properly. "He'll wake up later tonight to eat," he said.

At night, Aichi woke up in his bed. He looked at the door and saw a orange haired girl standing there. "Emi…" he muttered while reaching his hand for her. When he did, the girl faded away. "Emi…" he cried. After a little while, he pulled himself up and went to the bathroom.

He washed his face and looked at himself in the mirror. "We're leaving soon…" he reminded himself as he walked outside. Kai sat on a chair at the kitchen table while reading the documents. "Kai…? You're still awake?" Aichi asked him while looking away.

"I can't seem to fall asleep, so I might as well read this," Kai responded using a monotone voice. He put the documents down and walked to the fridge. He pull out glass tupleware from the fridge and a pan from the cupboard.

"I can do it," Aichi said while walking over.

"I will do it," Kai responded before turning on the heat.

Aichi sighed and sat on the chair Kai was sitting on before. He pulled up the documents and looked at what page he was on. They were notes outlining the plan for the upcoming mission. "Sorry, Kai... I really appreciate you going everything for me, but I want to do some of this stuff too..." he apologized while looking up.

Kai took a breath and nodded. "The thing is that you don't need to do this stuff. You shouldn't waste your energy on this stuff," he responded while reheating the food. They didn't really talk after that. After reheating the food, Kai continued reading the package while Aichi ate his meal and took the medicine and supplements.

"I'm going back to bed... get some sleep too, okay?" Aichi said. Kai nodded and gave him the okay hand sign.
