" Okay sis," Madoa said to Jasiri as she saw Jasiri's worried look in her eyes as she sat down alone. For about a few days, there would be a few moments where Madoa notice something on Jasiri's mind." Tell me what's wrong."

" Nothing is wrong Madoa," Jasiri reassured. " I'm completely fine."

"No Jasiri! I know something is on your mind. I can help you."

Jasiri sighed and looked down at her paws. Her paws moved slightly as her ears flattened. " Something happened where I thought I could help someone. And now I'm not sure if I failed in helping that someone's life."

Madoa thought for a second. " Who is this someone that you speak of?"

Jasiri remained silent for a moment. " I'd rather not say right now."

" And why on Earth would you think you failed this someone?" Madoa asked.

"Because he didn't come around when we were supposed to meet so I could help him turn his life around. So I'm afraid that I won't be able to help."

" But it's not your fault he didn't come around. Not yours."

" But I know he can change. I think he's too scared to. I think he's afraid that I might bash him for what he's done, but I know that I wouldn't do that. I feel like maybe I made him uncomfortable and gave him that feel that I would but… I don't know what to do now."

Madoa looked down for a moment as she furrowed her brows. Then she looked back at Jasiri and slowly walked to sit beside Jasiri with her ears flattened in sympathy. " I understand that you want to help everyone Jasiri. I really do. But I'm sure the reason why he didn't come back wasn't your fault."

" Maybe, but I'm still concerned. I still want to help."

" Jasiri?"

Jasiri looked up at Madoa with a small frown as Madoa spoke. " You know you can't help everyone. Sometimes you can't help others if they don't accept your help. You just have to accept that some are lost causes."

Jasiri furrowed her brows in frustration. " He is not a lost cause Madoa! I know that much!"

" I'm not saying that he is completely a lost cause. But if he isn't willing to receive help, then he won't change. Like,if he is going to change, you shouldn't be the only willing to help. He should be willing to help himself."

Jasiri looked away from Madoa, thinking about what she said. Her face display a sudden disappointment. " You're right Madoa, but I know he would be willing to turn his life. There's only that fear that he has that's blocking him from accepting help."

Madoa looked at Jasiri with her head head lowered a bit and her eyes showing concern. " Fine but that's all I could tell you. Hopefully you can figure it out and help him out." Madoa walked away to give Jasiri some space.

Jasiri looked as her sister walked away and she sighed. Janja, I hope you come to your senses one day.

In Pridelands, Scar's army invaded them once again. As excepted the Lion Guard and the pridelanders fought back.

" This is it Kion!" Janja snarled as he faced the lion cub. " It's time you and your guard step down, and let the ones that deserve the Pridelands have it!"

" We refuse to hand over the Pridelands," Kion snarled back.

Janja leaped on Kion, pinning him. He placed his paw on Kion's neck, making Kion choke a bit." I think I've had enough of you!"

Before Janja could do anything else, a force pushed him away and on the ground. He looked up to see Fuli growling at him, letting Kion escape to team up with Fuli.

Janja growled at both of them, with his heart pounding with a newfound flame. Janja bared his teeth, ready to rip at every Pridelander in the battle.

Kion jumped to successfully pin Janja. He placed his front paws on Janja's chest. " You all need to go back to the Outlands!"

" Not today Kion!" Janja snapped. He lunged his jaws up at Kion, making Kion jump off of him. Janja then proceeded to aim his jaws on Kion. He lunged at Kion's muzzle but Kion's dodged each move, and swiped his claws at him. Kion hit Janja with his unsheathed claws, making a wound on Janja's face. Janja snarled and continuously attempted to aim at Kion's neck.

They went at it for a few minutes, with Janja snarling and growling more aggressive than usual. Kion fought back strong enough to match him. As Kion swiped his paws and Janja nipped at Kion, they had a few wounds and scratches. None of Scar's army or the Pridelanders intervened, busy with their own battles.

Finally, Janja leaped for Kion, and he pinned Kion. Kion growled but it was cut short by one of Janja's paw which choked Kion a bit as his paw was on his neck. Janja growled with his teeth bare. Kion started to struggle but Janja wasn't bothered. "No more games Kion! I'm completely done with your games!"

There, Janja could have killed Kion. He could have leaned down to give a fatal bite to Kion's neck. He then could take over the Pridelands and all his hyenas could feast on whatever they wanted.

But before he could, something crossed his mind.

Now, what would Jasiri think if I killed her friend?

Janja held his position for a moment. He stopped growling and thought for a moment. Realizing he was choking Kion as he was adding more pressure to his paw, he lifted up his paw and got off of Kion. Kion looked at him with confusion was a brow raised. Kion lifted himself up and had a confused face.

" Why didn't you kill me?" Kion asked.

Janja looked at Kion, and suddenly he snapped. " Don't think of it as anything Kion!"

Suddenly they heard someone say, " We need to regroup."

Janja went with Scar's army as Kion went with this group. Once everyone was together, before any of Scar's army could do anything, Kion roared them away, causing the Scar to retreat.

As Janja headed back to Scar, he started thinking about the battle.

Why is that hyena still on my mind?
