xAmazonWarriorx: He will make a few.
Joe Lawyer: You make good points, also I recently started re-watching the Sopranos and that made me think more on the subject. Either way it will be awhile before there's any romance.
Arthorius: It's still there just fainter then before, the soul was also changed so Harry is no longer a Horcrux.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter
Rita Skeeter ideally flipped a letter in her hands as she waited in the back of the Leaky Cauldron. She had received the missive a few days ago and wasn't sure how to proceed, which caused her to let out a sigh. Before she had met Harry she would have known exactly what to do but now she had to worry about his reactions.
"Rita." She was snapped out of her musings and looked up as Harry slide into the seat across from her. "How can I help you?" Rita slide him the letter, Harry cocked an eyebrow and opened it, giving it a quick read. "Who sent this?"
"No idea but I doubt it's well known you are." She held her hands up. "Ignoring members of your family." She made air quotes as she spoke. "I would assume Narcissa or Lucius to sending it.
Harry nodded and tossed it on the table. "Thank you for letting me know." He started to stand but Rita cleared her throat.
"This is about more than that." She said and Harry cocked his eyebrow again and sat. "This has brought up a good thing we should discuss, if I am always writing positive things about you people will get suspicious." She carefully explained. "I have a reputation and destroying that can be costly, to us both."
Harry sat back and hummed. "I see your point." Rita let out a sigh of relief. "However I won't stand for my name being dragged through the mud, it would make me look weak."
"Not through the mud." Rita quickly assured him. "Just let me print a few rumors, maybe hint at some scandalous things. Nothing detrimental but enough to show people that I'm not in your pocket."
Harry nodded. "Agreed, just be sure if anything like this pops up again you let me know."
"Of course." Rita replied with a nod. "But about the note…."
"Print what you want." Harry said. "But you should know I have also reinstated Andromeda Tonks nee Black back into the family, blessed her marriage to Edward Tonks and named their daughter, Nymphadora Tonks, a Black."
Rita looked shocked by the news but suddenly grinned. "I can work with that." She held her hands up as if looking at a paper. "New Lord brings family back to former glory, yes that will work nicely."
"Good." Harry said and stood. "I leave for Hogwarts tomorrow so you just need to owl me if any problems arise." Rita nodded as Harry went towards the exit, he gripped the letter tightly and thought about what to do. Narcissa Malfoy had sent him several letters about wanting to meet and demanding to go to Grimmauld Place, this was obviously an attempt to force that. "Black home." Harry said and felt his portkey take him to Grimmauld Place, he needed to write a letter of his own before packing for Hogwarts.

Narcissa Malfoy stood on the porch of the old home with a frown, things were not going well for her this year. She had hoped her letter would have caused a bit of trouble to Potter but come to find out her sister stole the spot light from that, much like she did when they were younger. Not only that but her family name was being worsened now that a muggleborn was brought into the family and a half-blood was an official Black, well she was just pushing that down. Of course it was worsened by the fact she could not floo or apperate into the house, instead she had to knock like she didn't belong there. Knocking she expected to see Kreacher at the door but was shocked by who appeared in the doorway.
"Hello Narcissa." Andromeda said evenly. "Please come in."
Narcissa collected herself and walked into the house. "I did not expect you to be here?"
"Harry asked me to be here to keep an eye on you." Andromeda didn't see any reason to lie or hide her purpose. Narcissa paused for a second then continued into the house, her original purpose for being here was now impossible. She was going to have to come another time and remove valuable books and items.
"I came to talk to Aunt Walburga's portrait." Narcissa said as she looked at her sister. "In private."
"I will sit in the dining room so you can have some then." Andromeda replied as she walked into the room. Narcissa scowled but said nothing as she moved towards the portrait.
"Narcissa?" Walburga asked as the blonde witch walked in front of her.
"Hello Auntie." Narcissa said quietly. "I take it you've heard the disastrous news."
"Why are you speaking so softly?" The portrait asked curiously.
"It seems the new Lord doesn't trust me." Narcissa replied. "Andromeda is in the next room."
Walburga sniffed and turned her nose up. "I see." She said in a whisper. "So why are you here?"
"One reason was to take all of our important items out but with Andromeda here I will not be able to." Narcissa answered. "I also came to ask how any of this is possible? Could he have tricked the ring somehow?"
Walburga shook her head. "Every Lord since the first Lord Black has ensured the charms and runes on the ring are maintained. No one, especially a child, could remove those."
Narcissa agreed with that. "Then how is this possible?" Walburga hummed.
"What do we really know about his mother?" Walburga asked, Narcissa looked confused.
"Why does that matter?" Narcissa asked.
"The most important thing right now is to keep our Family name from losing its honor." Walburga said. "Did you know several pureblood families were killed by Grindelwald, however some children were left alive?"
"So?" Narcissa said.
"Many of those children were left in the muggle world and adopted, only finding out they were purebloods after they entered the Wizarding World." Walburga informed her and Narcissa gasped.
"You're not saying…"
"Who knows?" Walburga said with a grin. "And with her dead there is no real way of finding out, as long as her parents are dead."
"They are." Narcissa said. "I remember Lucius saying the Dark Lord was going to use them to draw her out but found out they had been dead for years." Walburga nodded.
"Good, tell that reporter woman, what was her name?" Walburga said. "Skipper, skinner…"
"Skeeter Auntie." Narcissa said. "And I'm sure this is something right up her alley." Narcissa may have been disappointed her note wasn't used but this was a story the woman would never pass up. "I will see to it."
"Good." Walburga nodded. "That will at least allow you to keep your head held high. You can then look into how this all happened."
"Of course Auntie." Narcissa said with a smile. "I won't let you down." Having a goal in mind Narcissa turned and made her way out of the house.
"Grasping at straws Auntie?" Andromeda asked as she walked into the room, she had eavesdropped on the conversation and had an amused smirk on her face.
"I wouldn't expect you to understand anything about family honor." Walburga shot back.
"Well I'm sure Harry will be happy with you." Walburga cocked an eyebrow at her niece. "After all if you spread the rumor he's a pureblood that only makes him that more desirable." Walburga stiffened in the portrait. "Or get so angry he tosses you into the ocean." Andromeda didn't wait to hear what the animated woman would say and walked out the door, her job done.

Harry made his way down from the common room towards Flitwick's office, the box holding the mysterious cloak in his hands. The train ride and dinner had been mostly uneventful, quite a few people were shocked by not only the fact he was Lord Black but also that Tonks was now a Black. Walking up to the door Harry gave it a few raps. "Come in." He heard Flitwick say and walked into the office. "Ah Harry how can I help you?"
"Well Professor I received a strange package at Christmas and am worried it might be charmed or even possibly cursed." Harry said, though he really doubted it was cursed since the Goblins were getting his mail first.
"Oh dear." Flitwick squeaked and hopped out of his chair and came around the desk to snatch the box from Harry. Placing it on the ground his hand became a blur as he cast spells at it, Harry was highly impressed by the screen and couldn't wait until he could cast like that. "Well it seems there were two charms on it, one was a tracking charm while the other was a small compulsion charm to use it."
"There was a note with it." Harry said as he thought over what all of this meant, Flitwick plucked up the note and read it.
"This is Albus's handwriting." The diminutive professor said, Harry cocked and eyebrow. "And I know what this is." He said as he pulled out the cloak and spun it around him, Harry's eyes widened as Flitwick's body disappeared leaving only his head visible.
"What?" Harry replied, Flitwick chuckled and pulled the cloak off.
"This is your father's invisible cloak." The professor said. "Got him into quite a bit of mischief when he was here, in fact I wouldn't put it past him to have charmed it himself."
"Why would the Headmaster have it though?" Harry asked, he didn't want to go to Dumbledore and ask the man himself.
Flitwick stroked his beard and hummed. "Well there are a few possibilities, one could be your father let Albus use it. While there are charms to make one's self invisible many fall when us cast spells or can be dispelled by a finite." Harry nodded. "Another could be your father feared someone stealing it if anything happened to him, with Albus it was much safer."
"So no real way of knowing." Harry surmised.
"Correct." Flitwick replied. "Now I have removed the charms but I hope you don't make me regret that." He held out the cloak for Harry to take. "Seeing as you don't cause as much trouble as your father I feel comfortable allowing you to keep this while here."
"Of course sir." Harry replied with a nod, supposedly his father was a bit of a prankster, something Harry won't be emulating.
"Very well." Flitwick nodded. "Now was there anything else?"
"No sir, have a good night." Harry said before turning on his heels and heading to the door. "This will be helpful." Harry thought as he rubbed his fingers over the cloak.

Harry yawned as he walked down to breakfast the next morning, he was right in thinking the cloak would be useful as it allowed him to sneak into the library and research trolls. The only helpful thing he found though was besides human flesh they had a taste for fish, hopefully he could shrink some and use them to distract it. His thoughts were broken as he walked into the Great Hall and the talking lessened, looking around he saw he was yet again the center of attention. "Oh what the hell is it now." Walking towards his classmates he saw they were looking at the paper. "She better not make e regret giving her slack." He thought as he neared the table.
"Harry check this out." Terry said and thrust a paper at him, Harry sighed before looking down at the front page article.
Lily Potter, Muggleborn or Pureblood?
By Rita Skeeter
Many of you by now know that our newest Lord is none other than Lord Harry Potter-Black, the Boy-Who-Lived. Now while it is obvious he should in fact be Lord Potter how did he manage to become Lord Black? The obvious answer is the James Potter, Harry's father, was the son of Dorea Black and thus he has Black blood in him. But are not the Blacks one of the strictest families when it comes to blood purity? SO how is the son of a pureblood and muggleborn able to be the Head of House for the Black Family?
Well what do we really know of Lily Potter's past? She claimed to be a muggleborn but what if she was adopted? Several Pureblood orphans were created during the war with Grinwald, could she not have been such a child. Talking with some of her old classmates many did say her looks were very different from her "families".
"Neither of her parents nor her sister had red hair like her." An anonymous schoolmate informed me.
"She out did everyone in every class she took." Another former student said. "Almost like it all came second nature to her, I've only ever seen that from purebloods."
So could the late Lady Potter have been more then she even knew? This does seem to help the pieces surrounding Harry Potter-Black fit together better, doesn't it?
Harry actually chuckled at the article, he was expecting something embarrassing but this was ridiculous. He folded the paper and passed it back to Terry.
"Do you think there's any truth to it Harry?" Mandy asked, Harry had labeled her the gossip queen of Ravenclaw.
"Who knows?" Harry replied with a shrug. "Unfortunately the only possible way to figure it out would be to ask my mother and obviously that's not going to happen."
The others all shifted nervously in their seats until Padma broke the silence. "So did you guys see we got a new Potions Professor?" She pointed up to the Head table and the group looked near the end, where Snape used to sit now sat a bright blonde haired witch. She didn't look to old, probably in her forties, and had sharp facial features that gave her a stern look.
"Who's going to be in charge of the Slytherin's now?" Anthony asked as he looked back at his food.
"I heard it was going to be Professor Vector." Mandy said. "She was a Slytherin when she came here so she took the opening."
"What's she like?" Lisa asked.
"I hear she's like a younger McGonagall." Mandy replied. "Pretty strict but gives credit where credit is due."
"Maybe this means we can actually beat Slytherin for the House Cup without Snape weighing the points." Michael said.
"Well were about to find out something." Harry said and nodded to the Head table where Dumbledore was standing.
"Attention everyone!" He called out and waved his hands to settle everyone down. "Quiet down please…thank you." He smiled. "Now I know you were all back last night but our new Potions Professor did not get in until late so I would like for you all to welcome Professor Zelda Sutter." The students clapped as she stood and gave a polite wave. "And I would also like to thank Professor Vector for stepping up and taking over as Head of Slytherin." There was a bit less clapping but Vector didn't seem to mind as she stood and copied Sutter's actions. "Now off to class the lot of you." Dumbledore sat as he finished and several students started talking as they gathered their things.
"Well us and the Hufflepuff's get to find out what the new professor's like." Terry said as he hopped out of his seat, the others quickly followed suit and soon the first year Ravenclaws were all walking into the potions classroom. Unlike with Snape Professor Sutter was already in the room and holding a piece of parchment, behind her the chalk board had the instructions for a Cure for Boils potion on it.
"Guten Morgen students." She said with a German accent though it wasn't too thick. "Please find your names on the cards I have laid out on the desks." Harry cocked an eyebrow but moved to his normal seat and found a card that had Anthony's name on it. The others all looked around the room, helping out the Hufflepuffs who came in after them, until everyone was seated. Harry was now sitting with Susan Bones, he had thought it was going to be alphabetical but looking around he realized it was boy girl, for as many as it could be, and mixed the houses. "Wunderbar." Sutter said with a smile. "Now as you can tell I have un accent so feel free to have me repeat mine self if you do not understand." She looked around to see if anyone had any questions. "Now I have you in these seats so that I may learn your names faster but if there are any problems please say now." Again she looked around but Harry knew none of the Hufflepuff's and Ravenclaw's had a grudge with each other. "Excellent, for our first lesson you vill vork alone and prepare a Cure for Boils potion for me. If you have any questions pleases ask."
For the rest of the class they students worked silently as Sutter walked around the room, however unlike Snape she did not give of an oppressing vibe. She even would speak quietly to each student when making suggestions or corrections to what they were doing. By the time class ended everyone was sure that if she didn't change her attitude then she would easily become one of the more liked teachers at Hogwarts.

Amelia Bones jumped and started to pull her wand out as he door was thrown open, stopping only when she saw it was Fudge rushing in. "Amelia have you seen the Prophet today?" He asked as he tossed the paper on her desk, sighing she pulled her wand out and used it to close her door.
"Yes I have Cornelius." Amelia replied as she moved the paper to the side of her desk. "What of it?"
Fudge leaned back a bit startled. "W-well..I mean what should we do about this?" He adjusted his tie and cleared his throat. "Surely we can't let someone go around disrespecting the dead."
"Anyone who believes this drivel obviously just wants to." Bones replied and looked back down at her paperwork. "If Lord Potter-Black complains then I will take it seriously, until then I will focus on actual crimes."
"Umm yes of course." Fudge replied as he adjusted his hat. "Well speaking of crimes how is Blacks condition."
Amelia paused and looked up before letting out a sigh. "According to Moody and Shacklebolt he is in great condition, it's almost like he hasn't a care in the world." And that was the cause of Amelia's worries, no one should be as happy as Sirius was when facing a trial. That was unless they were ready to go back to jail, die or totally innocent.
"So we can get the trial underway?" Fudge asked, a little happy something was going his way.
"I would say the twentieth would be the best day." Amelia answered. "It's a Saturday so we shouldn't have to worry about a crowd and when we call an emergency session plenty of people will be able to attend."
"Excellent, I will start getting everything together for it." Fudge clapped his hands together and smiled. "Just be sure to keep everything under wraps until then Amelia, the last thing we need is people screaming in the streets for Blacks head before the trial." Amelia nodded as the Minister left the office.
Neither of them noticed the bug on the back of his jacket as he walked out.
Sirius Black, accused without trial!
By Rita Skeeter
Yes dear readers it's true, the man known as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's right hand man, was put in jail all those years ago without a trial. Now we all know he's guilty but it is every citizen's right to a trial no matter what. Think of all the things we could have learned from it, where other Death Eater's went into hiding, what really happened that Halloween Night? Why did he betray the Potter's? So many questions but none of them were answered.
Fortunately our current Minister, Cornelius Fudge, and Head of the D.M.L.E, Amelia Bones, found out the man was not tried and are correcting the mistake. I will not say when this will take place, as the Ministry does not need a massive crowd causing problems, but know it will be soon.
"I am happy the Minister and Madam Bones are making up for the past Ministry's mistakes." Harry Potter said to me. "And I hope this trial will reveal answers about my parents I have."
We here at the Daily Prophet salute our current Ministry and their mission to fix the mistakes of the past. We also hope that Lord Potter-Black can find the solace he wants about his family and that fateful night.
Rita crackled as she looked over the final draft of what she was sure would be another front page article. Sneaking around on the Minister's back had been a brilliant idea, she was a bit sad Harry knew all of this and didn't let her in on it but he promised an exclusive interview after the trial. That, along with an article she was permitted to write on Valentine's Day about Harry being a heartthrob, made it easy to forgive him. Standing up she walked towards the editor's office, a wicked smile plastered on her face.
