" He almost had you Kion!" Bunga exclaimed. " He almost killed you!"
" I know Bunga," Kion said while walking with guard back to the liar. " But he didn't."
" I mean it's pretty strange considering that Janja had been wanting to take over the Pridelands for a while," Fuli pointed out.
"Maybe he doesn't the heart to kill," Beshte suggested.
Ono, who was on Beshte, thought for a moment. " I wouldn't say that. He did seem like he was going to kill Simba and Nala that one time they were at the volcano."
" Pfft He could've been bluffing," Bunga said.
Kion looked down with his brows furrowed. " I don't know why he did it, but something is off. He was unusually aggressive and him releasing me was questionable too."
" Kion! Kion!" A familiar voice called out. Kion turned his head around to see Madoa approaching.
" What's up Madoa?," Kion asked. " Is everything alright?"
" Yeah as far as attacks go," Madoa answered. " But Jasiri is upset. I talked to her and she said she felt like she had failed someone and I had hoped that one of her friends could help her out ."
Kion thought for a moment. " That's unusual for Jasiri to be upset."
" Seems like the hyenas are having a bad day today," Fuli commented with a smirk.
Madoa turned to Fuli. " Huh?"
" We were in battle with Scar's Army, and let's just say that Janja was acting a bit odd," Kion cleared up. " Anyways, I'll go to help Jasiri. Fuli, you're in charge while I'm gone. If Scar's army comes back, Ono, you will come back to me after you warn the rest of the guard."
" Sure thing Kion," Fuli said proudly.
" Of course Kion," Ono nodded.
Kion smiled and followed Madoa into the Outlands.
Kion entered into Jasiri's territory with Madoa. They were in the part of the territory where Jasiri's clan was; next to the watering hole. Jasiri was laying down on one of the rocks with a frown on her face and her hyenas were staring in confusion and whispering.
Jasiri suddenly perked up when she spotted Kion and leaped up to walk over to greet him. " Hey Kion! It's so nice to see you again!"
" Hey Jasiri!" Kion greeted. " It's nice to see you too! Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, why?" Jasiri asked as she spotted her sister behind Kion, and she mouthed an "Oh".
" Madoa told me that you weren't doing all that well," Kion said. " Are you okay?"
" I'm fine," Jasiri reassured. " It's just that…." Her words faded as she thought about her worries and her eyes looked down. " I'm just worried about someone."
" What happened?" Kion asked. Madoa walked away from them as they conversed.
Jasiri sighed and looked at him in the eyes. " I tried to help someone. But I think maybe I did something that might have made them uncomfortable so they don't want the help anymore."
" It's not your fault if that someone doesn't want have to be willing to help themselves as well. It can't be one sided."
" That's what Madoa said too! And that someone is willing to turn around so it's not that it's one sided."
Kion raised a brow. " Who is this someone?"
" I can't say. I don't want anyone going after him."
" Him?"
Jasiri sighed. " That's your hint, I guess."
" What kind of creature is he? Is he another hyena? Lion? Crocodile?"
" Again, I don't want to share anything about him." Jasiri looked to her left and looked at the rock formations, thinking about something.
Kion followed her stare then turned back to Jasiri. " Maybe you should go on a walk."
Jasiri looked back at Kion. " Why?"
" It's good to rest for a moment, and to refresh," Kion explained. " I think that will help you think clearly."
Jasiri gave a soft small and her eyes brightened a bit. " I think that's just what I need right now. Thanks Kion for being there for me."
"No problem!" Kion said.
Jasiri went off to walk away, feeling a bit more chill and was feeling a bit of hope as she started to walk away. She turned back to Kion with a grin. She looked back towards where she was walking.
Kion thought for a second, his eyes looking down and his brows furrowed. His ears flattened for a second as he looked down.
Maybe I can figure out who this guy is ... Kion thought.
Jasiri had been walking for a little while, looking up at the tall rock formations as she walked by. She was smiling trying to avoid her thoughts about Janja. She really hoped he wanted to turn his life around, but she needed to refocus. She couldn't think about Janja now.
But one thing Jasiri couldn't resist was going back to where she and Janja had started meeting. Jasiri giggled at the fun memories that came from that part of the territory, so she decided it would help a bit.
When she arrived, she looked around. Why did he have to go?
She thought about when she first took the territory and how Janja started to stutter when he realized his mistake. And she thought about talking to Janja and thinking about Janja always coming back as bright as day. Of Janja smiling and willing to make conversation with her. The thoughts made her softly giggle to herself with her chin closer to her neck and her standing on one of the rocks.
Suddenly she whipped her head to look up. She had heard sudden paws coming towards her and a familiar scent was coming in. She perked up her ears and stood still.
When the creature came out from the rocks, Jasiri's heart was pounding of joy. " You came?"
Janja jumped a bit in surprise. " Jasiri?!"
