Hi everyone! this is my second Fire Emblem fanfiction. Please enjoy.

"I will show you Claude. I'll show you that I'm not a little girl." Lysithea, a fifteen year old girl with white shoulder length hair and pink eyes, thought as she walked through Garreg Mach Monastery at the dead of night.

The reason for why Lysithea is walking around and not sleeping in her bed is because Claude, the house leader of the Golden Dear house, wouldn't stop teasing her about her status of being the youngest student in the Officer Academy.

So Lysithea decided to prove Claude wrong and decided to stay up late.

The next day will be a free day so Lysithea can stay in bed longer.

"But that probably lead to Claude teasing me again, saying how kids should get a good nights rest." Lysithea thought before sighing slightly.

"Oh well. There's no going back now." The white hair girl thought as she headed towards the cathedral.

Thankfully, Lysithea learned a stealth spell some time ago which she used just before walking over the bridge that connects the cathedral with the rest of Garreg Mach.

However, there wasn't any guards stationed on the bridge, but there was two guards standing outside the entrance to the cathedral.

Normally, there would have been a iron gate used to stop anyone getting inside the cathedral late at night but somehow the mechanisms used to operate the gate was broken.

Becoming slightly nervous, Lysithea slowed down as she approach the guards.

Even though she placed the stealth spell over her, Lysithea can still be seen by those with a keen eye.

The white hair girl walked past the guards and turned left before letting out a sigh of relief.

"That went easier than expected." Lysithea thought as she glance over her shoulder.

The white hair girl had expected for at least one of the guards to notice something, but they just stood still.

"I bet that if the gatekeeper was here, he would notice something." Lysithea thought, refereeing to the knight that guards the front entrance to Garreg Mach.

"So, what now?" Lysithea questioned herself, gaining a frown on her face.

There wasn't much to do since the cathedral itself has all it's doors shut.

"I guess that heading to the Goddess tower would be worthwhile." Lysithea thought before heading towards a tower that is located at the far corner on the left side of the cathedral.

"Hmm." A girl with long green hair and matching eyes, wearing blue clothes with some gold pieces of jewellery hummed slightly whilst having her eyes closed, seemingly in deep thought.

"I bear the Goddess's name…..Does that make me….the Goddess herself?" Sothis asked herself before opening her eyes.

It has been a few days since Lady Rhea, the current Archbishop of the Church of Serios, let slip to Byleth and Sothis the Goddess's actual name, something that a rare few knows, or was it on purpose since Lady Rhea trusts Byleth.

Whatever the case, it cause Sothis to go into a deep thinking phase, which resulted in her not being able to sleep.

"But for some reason, the term "Goddess" doesn't seem right for some reason." Sothis muttered to herself, a frown appearing on her face.

The mysterious girl, who has no memories, has been trying to find any connection between her and the term "Goddess".

However, nothing stirred within her head….apart from the words "Progenitor God".

"...Is it possible that "Goddess" isn't my true title, but "Progenitor God" is…..?" Sothis pondered, having a feel that she's correct.

"But what does it mean? Am I the origin of something specific?" Sothis thought before starting to become frustrated.

After a few seconds, Sothis let a deep breath.

"Becoming frustrated won't get me anywhere. Every time it looks like that I'm finding answers, I'm just getting more questions." Sothis thought before gaining a thinking face.

"So if I am the Goddess, how did I create the Hero's Relics? They aren't created from any sort of metals." Sothis questioned herself, referring to the powerful weapons that, supposedly, she created and gifted to the ten elites.

"The Hero's relics look like that they are made from bones…" Sothis thought before shuddering slightly, wondering what sort of creatures where used to create the Hero's relics.

"And why ten? There are numerous Crests, so why did "I" only created that amount? Was it because the creatures used for the creation of the Hero's relics were an endangered race?" Sothis pondered before starting to feel bad that the creatures could have been slain by her hands.

"Speaking about Crests. Is the "Crest of Flames" my own personal Crest?" Sothis asked herself, starting to think about the powers incarnate that the Goddess supposedly gifted to the people of Fodlan.

The Crest of Flames is a Crest that she and Byleth possess in the current era.

"….I guess it was my personal Crest before "I" gifted it to Nemesis along with the Sword of the creator. But why the "Crest of Flames"? Why didn't "I" created a new Crest which would end up being called the "Crest of Nemesis"?" Sothis wondered before glancing at her hand, where the Crest of Flames is shown.

"The Crests…What exactly are they?" Sothis wondered again before starting to focus her magic onto the Crest of Flames.

For some reason, a strange of feeling started to spread throughout Sothis, causing the mysterious girl to become confuse.

However, before Sothis could questioned this, a sharp gasp is heard, causing Sothis to widen her eyes before turning around.

When Lysithea reached the Goddess tower, she was expecting the door to be shut.

However, the white hair girl became surprise to see that the door is somehow opened.

Whilst the most logical side of her told her to leave, apart of her started to become curious as to what the inside of the Goddess tower looks like…plus Claude would tease her about being scared.

Entering the interior of the tower, Lysithea climbed the stairs before reaching a small square room.

"…..Is there where Lady Rhea performs the Goddess's Rite of rebirth?" Lysithea wondered, studying the room from the doorway.

After a few minutes, Lysithea decided to leave and head back to her room.

However, before the white hair girl could make a move, a girl suddenly appeared near the center of the room…floating.

The sudden appearance caused Lysithea to make a sharp gasp, which in turn cause the girl to turn around.

Lysithea and Sothis stared at each other in complete silence for a minute before Sothis spoke.

"Oh my. what do we have here?" Sothis said as she stare at the white hair girl.

"W-who are you?" Lysithea asked, attempting to sound brave.

Sothis became confuse shaky tone of voice that Lysithea just used.

"Does Lysithea thinks that I'm a ghost…..?" Sothis asked herself, thinking from Lysithea's point of view, knowing that the white hair girl seem to be scared of ghosts.

"My name is Sothis. And your Lysithea Von Ordelia, born from the Alliance." Sothis introduce herself and Lysithea gained a shock expression on her face.

"H-how do y-you know my n-name?" Lysithea asked as her body started to shake.

"I know a lot about the happenings of Garreg Mach." Sothis replied, folding her arms.

"H-how l-long have you b-been h-haunting Garreg M-Mach?" Lysithea asked, becoming slightly curious whilst still scared.

"I arrived here at the start of the school year. But I'm not sure what I am. A ghost or a spirit that is still bound to this world due to regrets." Sothis explained just as Lysithea blinked her eyes slightly.

"Did…you b-began to h-haunt Garreg Mach a-at the same t-time that Professor Byleth and Captain Jeralt arrived?" Lysithea asked, becoming curious whilst still feeling scared.

"Yes. I came to Garreg Mach the same at those two. And please stop saying haunting, there is a difference between haunting and taking residence here." Sothis stated, snapping slightly at Lysithea, causing the white hair girl to jump.

"S-sorry!" Lysithea exclaimed, making Sothis sigh.

"For someone so talented at such a young age, you have a childish phobia of being scared of ghosts." Sothis stated, causing Lysithea to become angry.

"Hey! I'm not scared of ghosts! How would you know that anyway?" Lysithea exclaimed whilst becoming surprised that she didn't stutter.

"Like I said before, I know everything that has been happening around Garreg Mach since the start of the school year. That including the ongoing in the Golden Deer class." Sothis explained, starting to enjoy seeing Lysithea loosing her brave face.

"W-what do you mean by t-that?" Lysithea asked, starting to become on edge.

"Well, I know that your ultimate aim is to become a Gremory, or a Dark Flier, since you started to have a interest in flying." Sothis explained, causing Lysithea to gulp slightly.

It was then that a smirk appeared on Sothis's face.

"Plus…I know that you have some sort of crush on Byleth." Sothis said before started to internally laughing at the faint blush that started to appear on Lysithea's cheeks.

"H-h-how do y-you know t-that?!" Lysithea exclaimed, believing that nobody knows about that.

"…..I didn't. I just notice some faints hints here and there. You pretty much confirm my suspicions." Sothis replied and Lysithea's skin started to become pale.

"But still, a forbidden relationship between student and teacher. I wonder the others would say about this?" Sothis asked, causing Lysithea's mouth to open and closed for a few seconds before the white hair girl found her voice again.

"D-don't you dare tell this to anyone." Lysithea said, glaring slightly at Sothis.

However, the mysterious girl didn't seem to flinch from the glare.

"How am I supposed to do that? I can't interact with anyone." Sothis pointed out, although she wasn't telling the truth.

This cause Lysithea to become quiet and gained a frown on her face.

"Good point…...Hang on a minute. How am I able to see you though?" Lysithea asked, causing Sothis to frown this time.

"I don't know really. I was just testing my "Crest of Flame's" powers, and the next thing that happened was you able to see me." Sothis explained and the mention of the "Crest of Flames" cause Lysithea's eyes to widened.

"You possess a "Crest of Flames" as well?!" Lysithea asked, becoming shock.

"Yes, just like Byleth." Sothis responded and Lysithea gained a thinking expression on her face.

"If this girl possess a "Crest of Flames" and is g-ghost…..then does that make her Byleth's possible ancestor?" Lysithea asked herself, starting to become curious.

"….By the way. Why are you up at this hour and here of all places at the monastery?" Sothis asked, causing Lysithea to snap out of her thoughts.

"You could say I was doing a test of courage. Claude been teasing me so I decided to prove him wrong." Lysithea explained, making Sothis nod her head.

"Well. I think that you already had a interesting night, so I think that heading to bed now would be a good course of action." Sothis said and Lysithea was about to snap at the mysterious girl, thinking that she's making fun of her, but realized that she accomplished her objective.

"Yes. I should be heading to bed. Good night, Sothis." Lysithea said before turning around and starting to head out of the Goddess tower.

Sothis floated in silence for a few seconds before disappearing.

And there we have it. I hope that I written Lysithea and Sothis correctly. I know that the range that Sothis can distance herself from Byleth is small, but for this story, let just say that Sothis's range is much larger.

You know, it would have been interesting to learn about why Sothis is called the "Fell Star" by the Agarthans. It is known that the followers of the Church of Seiros believe that Sothis, or Goddess to the followers, came from the Blue sea star, hence the "star" part. But that doesn't explain the "fell" part of the "nickname".

Another thing about Sothis is where was she during the events of Cindered Shadows. The Rite of Rising would have been some interest to Sothis and also learning that Rhea also possess magic to control time, since the Archbishop "froze" Sitri's body, preventing it from decaying.

See you around everyone.
