Hey everyone! I decided to update another chapter cause I already had it done so voila!

Thank you XenoEmblem4TW for your review! :D -Yes he better or else the whole fandom's going to be after him!

Just another quick note there will a little bit of one sided Toolshipping but not from the person you'd expect! But don't worry the main ship is going to be KingCrabShipping with a side of RoseKnightShipping!

So this chapter is pretty short and it mainly stemmed from my desire to try and be as descriptive as possible but also not a bore to read. Let me know if I succeeded.

I don't own Yugioh 5ds. *sniffles*

"So!" Yusei limped back to the computers with his laptop. He plugged it in and a 3-D rendition of Jack's runner popped up."This is your runner. The weight distribution is off by 5 grams, the accelerator is wasting unnecessary power, the brakes lag by a fraction of a second and the screen is a hair's breadth away from short circuiting. Also the fuselage is leaking gas." He had a streak of grease on his face when Jack's runner decided to throw a tantrum.

"So basically it's crap." said Crow. He passed Jack a plate of omelets and started attacking his own.

"Well I wouldn't say that. I'm just saying that there are alot of things that could be improved." Yusei said. He didn't enjoy bad mouthing people or what they made.

Bruno leaned closer to the screen, next to Yusei. "I see. So that's a runner. What makes it different from a traditional motorcycle is the screen."

"Yeah. The screen allows a closed circuit communication between riders. Security can't get in. Another thing is that it's built for speed. To be able to make those tight turns without sacrificing momentum."

"I see. So the torque and acceleration have to be perfect. If you're off by even a bit it throws your entire balance off. "

"Right. The screen is also a touchpad. You can hook up your phone to it as well."

Jack lost his couldn't help it. "Can you two please speak English? So what are you saying Yusei?"

Yusei let the words roll off him. Jack's temper never really affected him. "I can fix it. But I'm actually thinking it would be easier to create a whole new runner."

"Seriously? A new runner?"Crow asked.

Yusei nodded. "Actually I have the plans from your last runner. I could modify them."

Jack couldn't help the question that escaped his lips. "Why?"

Yusei looked at him, his chin in his hand. "You have a point Jack. Why should I help? You let your ego get the better of you and because of it I lost everything." His fists clenched.

Jack looked stricken. "I'm sorry Yusei. I truly am. If I could take everything back I would-"

"That remains to be seen." Yusei said coldly. Crow was shocked at his tone. It was so un-Yusei like. Yusei turned so they couldn't see his face. "For now I have my reasons. Bruno can you grab me the file from that cabinet over there. It's under' Wheel of Fortune.' "

"Wheel of fortune?" That was the name of the runner Yusei had made for him. A warm feeling blossomed in Jack. He still had it. He allowed himself to hope for a moment.

Yusei flexed his fingers. "This is going to be interesting." He said softly, smiling.

Yusei had promised to get working on it right away. He had seemed excited even if his face was a mask of calm coldness. Jack would stick to his dingy runner for now and had decided to drop by every day to check in on it. This was a great idea since he didn't have enough cash to pay for the new runner and so everyone agreed to let him work there for the time being. Bruno was excited to have someone else helping him around the garage, especially someone who's as strong as Jack. Crow had to leave since he had to get to work but promised to check in once in a while. Luckily nothing had happened to his jacket in the washing machine. Apparently Yusei and Bruno had lost alot of clothes to the stupid thing and were wearing the same thing for about 3 days now.

Once everyone was gone, Yusei sighed and stretched himself in his chair. It was specially designed. 360 degree rotation and a tilt feature which meant that he had to buckle the seat belt around his waist. The twins enjoyed playing on it to Akiza's disapproval. He put a hand up to his eye touching the bruised skin gingerly remembering the blows that had left bruises on his body. He had accepted that he would never be able to live normally again. Not with his dead leg and brand. Even so it still hurt to see others do what he used to be able to do. To ride. To walk. To run.

He got to work on the Chevy he was supposed to be fixing. Bruno was across the garage fixing a convertible's fender which had come off in an accident. He was playing Lady Gaga loudly on the speakers they had installed. Bad Romance was blaring out its first verse. Yusei rolled his eyes at his antics. His Chevy just needed its engine fixed, something he could manage without Bruno's help. Bruno acted as an extension of himself, his arms and sometimes his legs so to speak. He took care of Yusei even when he didn't want to be taken care of. It was true, the only reason Yusei took painkillers and actually ate anything was because Bruno pushed him to. It felt like everything else didn't matter when it came to his designs and anything relating to technology. It made him lose track of this miserable time that seemed to stay stagnant as though to insult him. It felt like the world around him slowed painfully when he wasn't distracting his mind. Perhaps this was a side effect of the Facility. Yusei didn't know.

He thought about earlier this morning. Or at least one person in particular.

His heart squeezed at the thought of him. His immaculate blond hair. Violet eyes. That air of protectiveness that could turn from dangerous to gentle in a matter of seconds. He didn't know what he felt towards the man. Everytime he thought about him, he was mad. He was upset. But seeing him today…. He didn't know what he felt anymore. Perhaps it was his gentler nature. He never stayed mad for long but usually there was nothing big to get mad about. Perhaps he just didn't have what it took to stay mad.

He broke out of his thoughts and grabbed a spanner. He buckled himself into the chair and used the tilt support to lean forward. His hair hung around his face as he reached for the bolt towards the bottom of the engine. He couldn't reach it. He sighed. He'd have to forgo the chair. He reset it and unbuckled himself. He braced himself on the car's hood and hoisted himself out. He grimaced as his leg weighed him down. He nearly crumpled to the ground but the small prideful part of him wanted to do this without the crutch or brace. He used his spanner to drag a small stool and positioned his bad leg on it bent at the joint. He let out a tentative breath and leaned forward. Pride filling his chest. He grabbed at the bolt and finally managed to twist it off. It was old and rusted. Needed to be replaced. He fingered it and winced as the rusty surface broke and stabbed into his skin. Carefully, painfully, he pulled the shards out. Blood welled up in their little pools maring his skin. He looked around. The first aid kit was on the wall blocked by Jeep about 20 feet away.. He'd have to maneuver around it. He briefly considered getting Bruno but dismissed it just as fast. He could do this on his own. Question was how?

He didn't want to use the chair or the crutch. He needed to be able to do things without relying on them. He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair.

Okay. Just get around the car and to that pillar. Simple.

Miles of mess and concrete in front of him. Simple.

Yusei pulled himself up and slowly braced his foot on the ground. He shifted his weight onto it and it buckled. He was still holding himself up by the car. He forced his foot to take a step forward pulling himself along the car. He moved his normal foot forward. Sweat beaded at the base of his neck and pain flared all over his body. He didn't know where that red hot burning was coming from but he gritted his teeth and ignored it. He pulled himself along until he got to the gap between the two cars. It would take him at least 5 steps to get across. Could he do it in 3?

Poker face was playing on the speakers above. And Bruno sang loudly to it.

He took a step forward with his good leg. He could drag his other leg across couldn't he? Perhaps he should try and put pressure on his bad leg and try to move it. He braced his bad leg not putting any pressure. He shifted his weight and felt nothing. He lifted his good foot slightly and panic filled his chest. He fell but managed to stop himself with his hands. He grunted and lifted himself back up. He did a sort of jump-step towards the Jeep. His leg continuously buckled. Yusei quickly tried to quell the rising panic. His shoulders tensed and his arms ached. His bruises throbbed for no apparent reason. He pulled himself along the Jeep. His bad leg was dragging now, unable to support his weight. He sank slightly, tired but he wasn't going to stop. He couldn't feel his leg, it felt like it wasn't there anymore but had instead been replaced with a large heavy weight. His breathing was ragged.

He pulled himself across the Jeep's bumper slowly. His bad leg seemed to get heavier and heavier with every step. He made it to the turn and looked dismayed. There was at least 7 feet in between the car and the pillar. His arms ached and his body hurt but there was no way he was going to crawl and even if he did he wouldn't be able to reach the first aid box since it was about 5 feet up the pillar. Damn it.

He braced himself. Okay this was the plan. He would try and stiffen his leg and hop-skip towards the pillar. He stood against the side of the jeep applying weight to his leg. Still couldn't feel anything. He'd try and manage. He slid his good foot forward and grabbed the pants of his other leg. He took a jump. Phew. Good landing. He took another. He stumbled. Yusei tried something else. He lifted his leg by his pants and forced it to take a step forward instead of dragging it. He tried to ignore the empty void where his leg was and the panic his brain sent out when it didn't feel anything. He took a step. A surge of joy went through him. He did it. Just two more steps and he could reach the pillar. He took another one. Perhaps a little too hastily in his happiness at being able to walk. A rush of dizziness overtook him and he collapsed. His body felt like it was on fire and his bad leg felt chained to the floor. No matter what he did he couldn't get up. His leg felt too heavy. Yusei felt frustrated. No! No! Damn it I was so close! His black eye throbbed and he clutched at his face. One hand was still reaching towards that damnable pillar. He let go of that pride that didn't let him crawl and pulled himself towards the pillar. A small work table on wheels sat nearby and his leg bumped heavily into it sending it spinning to a table which crashed loudly, tools raining from above.

Bruno perked up. "Yusei!" He abandoned his screwdriver and ran towards Yusei jumping over the wires and pipes in his path.

Yusei didn't want him to come closer. He didn't want his help. The frustration and the frantic beating of his heart caused tears to prickle at his eyes. The pillar felt miles away now. He couldn't do this. As that realization hit him sobs racked his body. He pounded his fist on the ground and screamed. What was he good for when he couldn't even reach a stupid pillar? He couldn't do anything on his own.

Perhaps he hadn't truly accepted it.

Then Bruno's arms were around him, taking his still bloody hands. Yusei didn't want him there, but he couldn't pull away. His body felt like lead.

He was useless.

A bit of this was supposed to be symbolic so if you got it kudos to you!

Also in the immortal words of Little Kuriboh 'Lady Gaga is an Egyptian God' or somesuch...

Please drop a little R&R! They truly do make my day! Well more like my week...
