A/N: I've seen other fics' that are also following the story with Leonidas so I'm trying to differentiate mine from the others. I laid out the battles like the fic by 'Chicken Lordz' (I suggest you read that, its good). One more thing, any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Gavin Miller was your average kid doing average things. Get up, go outside, walk around town, play bakugan, go home. You know, average teenager stuff. He had always seemed to be down on his luck, even when doing the thing that he loved the most;playing bakugan. He had been playing using just pyrus bakugan since day one when the cards fell from the sky. No other attributes really appealed to him. And despite all of this, he found himself brawling again. This time against Shuji, an unranked player.
Bright light filled the area as the battlefield disappeared into nothingness and the battle finished.
"I lost? Not again." Gavin said, biting his lip.
"Too easy." Shuji said. "I told you I was the best."
"No, you aren't. You aren't even ranked. Honestly Shuji, I don't know how you fit such a big ego into that thick skull of yours." Gavin replied, looking kind of annoyed.
"What was that, punk?" Shuji turned around with an angry look on his face.
"You heard me."
Uh-oh, not again...
Shuji stomped over and grabbed Gavin by his shirt collar.
"Are you looking for a fight? Because I'll give you one!" Shuji shouted angrily.
"N-no. I didn't mean it like that." Gavin put his hands up as a sign of him not wanting any conflict.
Shuji let go of Gavin's shirt and walked off. "Come back to me when you're actually good at this game ."
After that, Gavin dragged himself to a quieter area of the park and sat down on a bench next to a fountain. "Dammit, my emotions got the best of me again. Why can't I control myself?"
Get out of my house, you brat!
"Right. Him." He put his head in his hands. "If only I had some sort of a strong bakugan like the brawlers, I might actually be able to win a battle for once." He sat there for a few minutes, contemplating his choices of what to do next. It was almost as if fate itself had taken pity on him, bright light filled the area as time began to slow down. He looked up in shock "Whats this? I'm not brawling!" Gavin looked around but everything and everyone was frozen. Except him. "Something's not right."
Two objects fell to the ground and landed next to his foot. One of which was something red. "No, it couldn't be... A bakugan? But which one is it?" The other just appeared to be a standard field card. Time resumed and Gavin picked up the bakugan to inspect it before placing it in his palm. It popped open in his hand, without him having to do anything. It appeared to be a Dragonoid-esque bakugan but it didn't look like the one that everyone knows about.
"Where am I?"
Gavin couldn't believe what he heard. The bakugan talked.
"Uh-um. Planet Earth if that's the answer you're looking for." Gavin replied nervously, trying to stay calm.
"I see, so this isn't Vestroia then." The bakugan sounded confused
"W-who are you anyways?" Gavin asked. "I've never seen a bakugan like you before."
"My name is Leonidas. And you are?" He asked
"Gavin Miller but just call me Gavin." There was a moment of silence before Gavin had thought of a genius idea. "Hey, I have a proposition for you, Leonidas. What if us two partnered together? You seem powerful, I bet we could beat a lot of bakugan and players if we did."
"I have a feeling that I will be able to release my true power by partaking in these battles." Leonidas replied, sounding a little sceptical though.
"I'll take that as a yes. Good to meet you, partner."
Gavin picked up the card that was still on the ground. It looked like any other field card. But something felt off. The card in his hand gave off a weird feeling.
"So uh Leonidas. You know anything about this card?" Gavin asked awkwardly
"I'm afraid I do not. Though it is radiating a lot of negative energy."
"I'm going to assume that's a bad thing." Gavin replied "Anyways, we better get going. I'm gonna go get a rematch."
Earlier - Unknown Hyperspace
Naga was surrounded in an orb of the negative energy produced by the silent core, lightning crackled around it. Hal-G floated in the surrounded area next to it. Naga let out a mortifying screech that would have scared any normal person as beams of negative energy formed into an orb in Hal-G's hand.
"Finally the silent orb is complete and now all bakugan shall bow before me!" Hal-G shouted before letting out a malicious cackle.
The same time - The Doom Dimension
Corpses of bakugan stretched for miles In the desolate wasteland of The Doom Dimension. Small amounts of energy started to emit from these corpses. It appeared to be the energy of the souls of bakugan who have not passed on yet. The energy formed together to create a massive red ball of energy in the dark sky above. The energy continued to build until it exploded. In a bright flash of white light, a creature could be seen taking off, up to the sky. Th creature disappeared into a portal above, the destination unknown.
Present Day - Wardington City Square - 21:39
After a long search of checking the most popular places in Wardington city and asking around, he had finally found the person that he was looking for. Shuji.
"Hey Shuji!" Gavin said, pointing at him. "How about a rematch?"
"Still upset about earlier? Fine, I'll take your challenge but don't complain when I wipe the floor with you." Shuji said with confidence.
"FIELD OPEN!" The two said in unison as they flipped their cards around. The world around them faded out and the battlefield faded in.
Entering the battlefield always felt unnatural to Gavin, it looked like something out of a comic book.
"Gate card set!" Gavin shouted, as did Shuji.
"Bakugan brawl!" Shouted Shuji "Mantris stand!" A giant mantis looking bakugan appeared onto the battlefield right in front of Gavin, on Shuji's gate card.
Subterra Mantris has entered the battle at 250 Gs
He probably has something that benefits him on his gate card, I could either play it safe and land on my own card or take a gamble with an ability card on his. Screw it, I'll gamble.
"Bakugan brawl! Robotallion stand!" Gavin shouted as a humanoid robot appeared on the card.
Pyrus Robotallion has entered the battle at 240 Gs
"You're in for it now! Gate card open!" Shuji yelled "Subterra Boost!"
Mantris G power increased by 60 Gs to 310 Gs
"Not so fast Shuji! Ability card activate, Pyrus Glow!" Gavin threw the ability card at Robotallion. Fire started to swirl around the gate card as Robotallion started to glow.
Robotallion G power increased by 80 Gs to 320 Gs
"Alright! Now I have an edge." Gavin shouted
"Unlucky, kid. Ability card activate, Slice cutter!"
I've never seen that card before! This isn't good
Mantris G power increased by 100 Gs to 420 Gs
The Mantris took a two quick swipe at Robotallion with its bladed limbs, thus eliminating it. The bakugan fell changed back into ball form, landing next to Gavin's foot.

"I shouldn't have gambled. Dammit." Gavin said through his gritted teeth.
"Your move." Shuji smirked.
"Bakugan brawl! Stinglash stand!" Gavin declared as he threw his bakugan.
Stinglash has entered the battle at 260 Gs
"You really think that a weak Stinglash can beat me? You must be an idiot!" Shuji explained confidently. Shuji also threw out another bakugan onto the battlefield;a Falconeer.
Falconeer has entered the battle at 240 Gs
"I've got you now! Falconeer atta..." Shuji roared before he got interrupted
"Gate card open, Triple battle!" Gavin interrupted his opponent
"Triple battle? What does that do?" Shuji asked, sounding confused.
"This gate card allows me to bring another one of my bakugan into the battle! So I choose my ace, Leonidas!" Gavin explained, he sounded a lot more confident than before. "Are you ready partner?" Gavin asked Leonidas
"... Send me in." Leonidas replied.
"Not much of a talker, are ya? Bakugan brawl, Leonidas stand!" Gavin roared
A giant muscular 3 horned dragon stood up from the light on the card. It flexed its muscles and stretched its wings as it let out an ear piercing roar.
"Holy crap... Leonidas, you're awesome!" Gavin shouted in awe.
Leonidas has entered the battle at 340 Gs
"Wh-What is that thing? Its so powerful!" Shuji said, a fearful look appeared in his eyes.
Stinglash and Leonidas combined G power total of 600 Gs
"Attack!" Gavin commanded. Leonidas had flown up and punched the Falconeer into Stinglash where it wrapped its tail around it. This allowed Leonidas to follow up with a strong barrage of punches to the Falconeer's face which lasted a solid 5 seconds. The three bakugan had transformed back into spheres and returned to their respective owners.
"What's wrong with your bakugan? It's trying to kill mine!" Shuji complained
"Chill out dude that's just his style. He's aggressive, that's all." Gavin saw nothing wrong with that fight.

"Your move" Gavin said, catching his bakugan.
"Fine. Gate card set!" Shuji roared "Bakugan brawl! Fear Ripper stand!"
Fear Ripper has entered the battle at 310 Gs
"Lets do this again Leonidas! Bakugan brawl!" Gavin shouted
Leonidas has entered battle at 340 Gs
"Don't get to confident yet!" Shuji looked more calm than before.
"Ability card, activate! Alpha blaster!" Gavin announced.
Leonidas G power increased to 540 Gs
Leonidas started charging up a blue beam of energy in its mouth.
"Is that the best you can do? Gate card open! Level down!" Shuji exclaimed
"Level down?" Gavin questioned
"Level down lowers the opponents bakugan by 100 Gs if it has 500 Gs or more." Shuji explained
The energy building up in Leonidas's mouth fizzled out.
Leonidas G power decreased to 440 Gs
"Ability card activate, Subterra swap! Since my bakugan have the Subterra attribute, we swap G powers."
Fear Ripper G power to 440 Gs and Leonidas G power to 310 Gs
"Hold on, Counter ability activate! Rewind! This card reverses all of the effects put in place by the opponents ability cards. Looks like I got you there!" Gavin explained, the ability card in his hand glowing red.
"What? No, that's not fair!" Shuji exclaimed
All G powers reset to before the subterra swap ability card
The energy in Leonidas's mouth started to build again. In a few moments, a blue beam shot from his mouth, landing a direct hit on Fear Ripper.

"No, Fear Ripper!" Shuji roared
"Gate card set." Gavin smirked as he threw his card. "You've already lost, Shuji."
"What was that?"
"Stop talking and lets finish this battle already!"
"Bakugan brawl!" Shuji yelled out "Falconeer stand!"
Falconeer has entered the battle at 240 Gs
Gavin tossed Stinglash onto the battlefield.
Stinglash has entered the battle at 260 Gs
"I'll give you a chance to quit while you still have your dignity! You gonna take it?" Gavin asked
"No way am I gonna lose to a brat like you! Ability card acti..."
"Mine ghost." Said Gavin, turning around as the battlefield exploded, taking out both players bakugan.

Shuji - 0/3
White light flashed as the battlefield disappeared and the real world faded in again.
"Wha-what was that?" Shuji said, now on his knees
"I just went kamikaze on your sorry ass. I guess I'll see ya around man." Gavin walked off. "We did pretty good back there, huh Leonidas?
"That was a worthless opponent, they were not worth my effort." Leonidas replied
"Aggressive... I like it."
After a short walk, Gavin had made it back to his Dad's house, a place he would rather be away from. He opened the door only to be greeted by his dad, beer in hand and all.
"You're late." He said, dragging Gavin in by his shirt collar. "Get something to eat and go up to your room, I don't want to deal with you right now."
"There's barely anything here. You haven't been to the store in a week, I've already told you this." Gavin replied, sounding quite calm.
"Do I need to repeat myself?" Mr. Miller asked, looking angrier than before. He pushed Gavin towards the cupboard.
Gavin didn't say anything. He took a bag of nachos and a bottle of water.
"Those are my chips, get something else." Mr Miller demanded
Gavin still didn't say anything and walked to his room
"Stupid kid." Mr. Miller muttered under his breath.
Gavin locked his door and sat on his bed, in the dark, opening the bag of chips.
"What has just happened? Why did you not say anything back to him, Gavin?" Leonidas said as he popped open on Gavin's shoulder.
"Its nothing, you don't have to worry Leonidas. I'll be fine." Gavin replied, his breath slightly shaky
"I shall respect your decisions." Leonidas answered back.
After finishing his food, Gavin logged onto his bakupod. After beating Shuji, his rank went up to 429 from 467.
"Leonidas, you said that you want to face stronger opponents, right?" Gavin asked
"That is correct." Leonidas replied, sounding intrigued.
"Well, have I got good news for you." Gavin looked at his bakupod and sent a message, the recipient.
