NOTE: Crystal is my Original Character, who I am currently preparing a story. Needless to say, the story revolves around the "Persona 5" fandom. She is already incorporated into various prompts that I have written that revolve around "Persona 5," but those prompts are completely separate from the upcoming story that I am in the middle of mentally preparing. With that being said, don't expect the prompts to match up with the actual "Persona 5" story that I'm creating for Crystal to be in … because the prompts might as well be part of some Alternate Universe. Again, they aren't (and won't) be connected with the real story that Crystal will be involved with.

Backstory:

(WARNING ~ MIGHT BE TRIGGERING TO SOME VIEWERS)

Before moving to Japan, Crystal lived in America with her incredibly wealthy family—a mother, a father, three older brothers, and an older sister. At first glance, it would seem like she had the most perfect life that anybody could ever ask for. Not only did she look very attractive and possess a variety of friends, but she also lived in a large house and was known as one of the most popular girls in the entire school. Although, in reality, Crystal had always known deep down inside that a majority of her admirers—whether they were boys or girls—only liked her because they were interested in either (A) her family's money, or (B) possibly getting her into bed. So, ever since she was a kid, Crystal had made sure to keep her friendship circle rather small since she despised the thought of being used.

Anxiety has been a struggle for Crystal for as long as she could remember … but it didn't help that a couple of years before she made the decision to move, she was involved in an abusive relationship. Her ex-boyfriend had shoved her into walls, thrown all sorts of items at her, grabbed her with such a firm grip to the point where he left bruises, and he constantly targeted her with threats, insults, orders, and accusations. Then, when Crystal had decided to put her foot down and dump him, her ex responded with the ominous warning: "If I can't have you, nobody can."

Crystal tried to pay no mind to the final comment, convincing herself that it was no different than any of her ex-boyfriend's other spiteful remarks. However, Crystal ended up regretting this … because a few weeks after the breakup, her ex-boyfriend—along with a couple of his friends—ended up committing a school shooting. This resulted in Crystal having no choice but to depend on running, hiding, and sometimes even fighting in order to escape the school with her life … but not without witnessing dozens of gruesome injuries and graphic deaths among her classmates and teachers. Unfortunately, on that day, all of Crystal's true friends were killed.

Also, to make the shooting even more traumatic, Crystal almost became a victim of rape when one of the friends of her ex-boyfriend found her. During his attempt to take advantage of her, Crystal—out of desperation—ended up grabbing a pair of scissors and using them to stab the friend of her ex repeatedly. It was strictly out of self-defense, but the friend still ended up dying from massive blood loss.

Not only that, but Crystal had witnessed another one of her ex-boyfriend's friend's commit suicide. When he had located her in one of the classrooms, he had been planning to shoot her … but when he heard the sirens from the police cars pulling up to the school, he ended up making the decision that he didn't want to go to jail. So, he turned his gun on himself, traumatizing Crystal further.

Fortunately, Crystal survived the school shooting. However, shortly before the police arrived, she was shot a little above the collarbone on her left shoulder … and when the police did arrive, Crystal saw her ex-boyfriend attempt to open fire on them. This resulted in her ex being killed right in front of her, while the rest of his friends—excluding the one that Crystal had stabbed and the other that had claimed his own life—were caught and arrested.

(SKIP TO THIS PART IF YOU ARE WORRIED THAT YOU'LL BE POSSIBLY TRIGGERED BY THE PART ABOVE~)

Now, as the result of going through that horrific day, Crystal battles with anxiety to a whole new level. Her parents had decided to send her to a psychologist, who ended up diagnosing her with depression, PTSD, and Survivor's Guilt. As the result of all of this, Crystal has to frequently deal with intense nightmares, panic attacks, paranoia, random outbursts of anger, and increasingly fragile self-esteem.

Although, going to therapy is what eventually causes the next chapter in her life … because Crystal sooner finds herself in the Palace of her psychologist. The hospital that he worked in had completely transformed into a giant, ominous, rundown building that had each room dedicated to a different torture method. Crystal later discovers that her psychologist was secretly involved with the Deep Web and that he was using his career to have easier access to those with mental battles. To him, they were easier targets … and not long after realizing this, Crystal's Persona—i.e. the Butterfly Effect—is finally awakened.

Despite how challenging it was to do all on her own, Crystal managed to infiltrate the Palace, battle against Shadows, find the Treasure, and change the heart of her psychologist all on her own. She was also taught a little about Mementos by her Persona … and whenever she wasn't focusing on the infiltration, Crystal was committing herself to all sorts of research on the Phantom Thieves and specific institutions in Japan. She even makes the decision to handle all of the necessary paperwork and send an online application in the hopes of being able to attend Kosei High.

In the end, after Crystal's psychologist confesses his sins and has his story played on multiple TV channels, Crystal comes out and tells her family that she wishes to move to Japan. Not only did she want to try moving on from her past, but she also wanted to give herself a fresh start and move to the place where the Phantom Thieves were known to originate from. That way, if she were to continue traveling to Mementos and helping change hearts, people would assume that it was all happening because of the Phantom Thieves and the chances of her secret being revealed would be incredibly slim.

By this point, after making the decision to move, it has been a year since the shooting.

Needless to say, Crystal manages to get accepted into Kosei High and is even fortunate enough to get placed into a program for gifted writers.

She proceeds to handle her life in Japan, moving into an apartment that isn't too far from Kosei High, changing hearts with the Butterfly Effect, and trying to piece her life back together without drawing too much attention to herself.

Crystal mainly encounters Hifumi and Yusuke, courtesy of how they are also students at Kosei High. Then, as time goes on, she ends up befriending them and eventually meets the rest of the Phantom Thieves.

Previous Appearance ~ Before Moving to Japan:

For Crystal's entire past, which—obviously—includes everything that happens before and after the abuse from her ex-boyfriend and the school shooting, she possessed golden blonde hair that was very long. It reached all the way down to the middle of her back and was often styled into braids, ponytails, curls, and buns.

Aside from that, Crystal just so happened to wear clothes that made it more than clear that she came from a wealthy background. On a daily basis, she could be seen wearing extravagant dresses, proper skirts, fancy high heels, or just about anything that could be considered as "polished," "glamorous," or "girly." Almost every outfit that she wore consisted of ruffles, sparkles, shiny jewelry, expensive fabrics, and so on.

However, in reality, Crystal hated wearing this type of attire and only did it because she knew that her family had high expectations in a variety of categories. Of course, being such a rich and well-known family, one of those categories revolved around proper appearances.

Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and Prada are just a few of the brands that Crystal often wore with her family.

Current Appearance ~ After Moving to Japan:

Upon moving to Japan, one of the first things that Crystal does is go to the salon and get her hair cut. She has it sliced off, not wanting to deal with the length. Now, it's much shorter, reaching down to the middle of her neck. Not only that, but Crystal frequently has the tips of her hair dyed to be fun, vibrant colors—pink, blue, purple, and so on—since her family had never permitted her to do what she wanted when it came to her hair and sense of style.

In addition to that, Crystal started wearing clothes that revolved around the punk/hipster style—the style that she has loved for years. This means that she ditched the dresses, skirts, and high heels, trading them for T-shirts/tank tops, worn out jeans/shorts, and converse/boots. She also enjoys wearing flannels, denim/leather jackets, and sometimes beanies.

There are only two items that Crystal often wears from her past. The first item is a small, silver crucifix that she wears around her neck; and the second item is a single, vibrant blue feather earring that hangs from her right ear. They are her most favorite pieces of jewelry.

Thievery Appearance ~ Upon Entering Mementos or a Palace:

As a Phantom Thief, Crystal's attire consists of a short, olive-green romper that has a few ruffles incorporated into the hems of the sleeves and short-like bottoms. It's slightly low-cut in the front and it hugs Crystal's figure, showing off her curves in a sexy—yet modest—manner. It also has a hoodie incorporated into it, which Crystal often keeps flipped up in order to keep her identity even more hidden—especially after moving to Japan.

On the back of the romper, the large image of a butterfly is placed. Its wings are designed to look like they're constructed out of separate pieces of pretty, vibrant, multicolored stained glass. The overall design of the butterfly stands out greatly from the rest of the romper.

Around Crystal's waist, there's a thin, silver, lopsided chain that's decorated with small, colorful, butterfly-shaped charms. It's similar to a belt.

Then, there's her footwear—black, knee-high, high-heeled boots that are made out of leather.

Crystal's mask is designed to look like a pair of butterfly wings, also standing out from the rest of her olive-green attire. Like the butterfly that's printed on the back of her romper, her mask is incredibly colorful, pretty, and made to look like it's constructed out of separate pieces of stained glass.

As for battle weapons, Crystal has three—a sharp dagger that is strapped to her right thigh, a gun that is placed at her left hip, and a chainsaw that has what looks like butterfly stickers decorating it.

The only two items that remain on Crystal from the real world are her silver crucifix, and her single, vibrant blue earring.

Overall, her attire gets the message across that she's a major badass.

Overall Physical Appearance:

Crystal is five-foot-six, possessing rosy lips, a button nose, a pearl-like complexion, and a figure that definitely stands out from a majority of the other young women in Japan. This is because she just so happens to have wider hips and she's considered to be "fuller" in all of the right places—i.e. her butt, breasts, and thighs. As the result of this, it doesn't take much effort for Crystal to gain the attention of young men.

Aside from that, Crystal's pretty, wavy, golden blonde hair is completely natural and she has greenish-blue eyes that she often decorates with just eyeliner since she's not a huge fan of makeup.

Beauty marks that look very much like freckles are scattered all around Crystal's body, despite how a majority of them aren't visible with her clothes. There are three main beauty marks on her face—one on the right side of her nose, and the other two on the left side of her nose.

Finally, there's a circular scar that's the size of a thumbprint located a little above the collarbone on Crystal's left shoulder. It's the scar that she received from the school shooting and she always makes sure to keep it out of sight from anybody that's around her.

Overall (Prior) Personality/Behavior ~ Before Moving to Japan:

Before undergoing the school shooting, Crystal was the type of girl who believed that she was only seen and not heard. Even before her ex-boyfriend came into the picture, Crystal constantly bickered with her family about her struggles with anxiety and her sometimes trying to wear clothes that didn't reach up to their "glamorous" expectations. Eventually, as the arguments built up over the years, Crystal grew to become very quiet, reserved, insecure, and—basically—a pushover.

This is why Crystal started wearing her family's expensive clothing without bothering to complain or attempt putting on hipster/punk-like outfits that she liked. She didn't wish to go through anymore heated lectures or arguments, which resulted in her complying and keeping her honest thoughts/feelings to herself.

Unfortunately, this also meant that whenever Crystal received innuendos or flirtatious remarks from boys, she would stay silent and just try to ignore them. She would sometimes roll her eyes and faintly glare in their directions as well, but it was more common for her to try acting like they hadn't said anything to begin with.

Despite how soft-spoken she used to be, Crystal was very sweet towards her small group of friends and was often viewed as the "most innocent" one among them.

However, when it came to her ex-boyfriend, the fact that Crystal was a shy and sensitive pushover only made her more vulnerable to the abuse. Although, in reality, she knew that she was being mistreated and she was more than aware that her relationship with her ex wasn't what a real relationship should've been. She only put up with her ex-boyfriend as the result of her fear and anxiety.

Luckily, there were still times in which Crystal managed to put her foot down—such as when her ex tried many, many times to get her to wear sleazy outfits, drink alcohol, get high, and even have sex with him.

Crystal was raised in a Christian household and she has always stuck to her faith in God, even after getting verbally/mentally abused by her ex and going through the trauma of the shooting. Her faith has always been a big part of her life.

This explains why Crystal is still a virgin and why she wishes to remain that way until she is married. She has absolutely no interest in engaging in any type of sexual activity and isn't the slightest bit ashamed of it.

Her faith also explains why she refuses to get involved with drugs or alcohol. She genuinely sees no point in getting drunk or high, resulting in her never agreeing to do either.

Overall, unless she was around her small circle of close friends, Crystal only seemed to talk whenever she was being spoken directly at. Otherwise, no matter where she went, she usually kept to herself and didn't bother trying to socialize.

Overall (Current) Personality/Behavior ~ After Moving to Japan:

After undergoing the school shooting (and not to mention the awakening of her Persona a little later), Crystal's timid nature completely melts away like it was never there to begin with.

Now, even though she struggles with PTSD, Survivor's Guilt, and depression, Crystal appears to be a lot more stubborn and hostile. In fact, whenever she feels that it's necessary, she admits that she can come off as awfully bitter and bitchy … but she doesn't apologize for it because she firmly believes that if somebody pushes her buttons in the first place, then they're asking to see what it's like when she gets annoyed.

Unless she's dealing with a Shadow, Crystal tries her hardest to never start physical altercations. The only time that she's willing to break out into a fight is if somebody throws the first punch or she somehow feels threatened. Although, since she has PTSD, it doesn't take a whole lot to make her feel like she's in danger … and a panic attack could possibly be triggered.

Not long after the shooting, Crystal began to take karate and taekwondo classes in order to ensure that she would have even better chances of protecting herself. She knows plenty of methods that can assist in self-defense, which can come in handy for multiple situations.

For example, not only is her enhanced fighting skills beneficial for whenever she's in Mementos or a Palace, but if a boy were to attempt touching Crystal inappropriately, she wouldn't hesitate to put them in their spot. She's very protective of herself and others, especially when they are either (a) completely innocent and helpless, or (b) close to her.

So, Crystal is no longer afraid to express her honest thoughts whenever she receives unwanted remarks or other advances from boys.

Of course, Crystal still treats people with kindness and respect … but only if they're giving her the same thing in return. Otherwise, she's not afraid to get defensive, sassy, and—if ever necessary or pushed to that limit—bitchy. Also, depending on how serious a topic is, she can be brutally honest and not expected to hold her tongue.

Crystal is intelligent, but isn't the greatest student when it comes to specific subjects—especially math and Art History. In fact, that's how she personally encounters Yusuke for the first time ever. The two of them share an Art History class and, despite not really socializing much in the beginning, get paired up by the teacher when it's declared that Crystal should receive tutoring in the subject.

According to Crystal, "Being normal is overrated." She enjoys standing out from the rest of the crowd and this is one of the reasons as to why she ends up becoming fascinated by Yusuke. She admires the fact that he's often described as "eccentric" and it doesn't take long before a friendship forms between the two of them. Then, later on down the road, it ends up blossoming into a romantic relationship.

However, despite how cool, confident, and strong she appears to be on the outside, Crystal still struggles internally with low self-esteem and social anxiety. It's just not very noticeable to the naked eye.

8) Sayuri's Persona is Artemis—twin sister of Apollo and the Greek Goddess of Chasity, Childbirth, Nature, the Moon, and the Hunt.

10) In most prompts that relate to the present time, Kai and Sayuri are sixteen, Ame is thirteen, Jona is eight, and the triplets have yet to be born. Either that, or they're simply babies.
