This story is based on an idea I had a long time ago. This may not be as good as my other stories (and they are not the greatest either)

It was a week after school ended. Gumball and his classmates graduated to 8th grade and Anais was going to High School next fall.

Gumball and Darwin were looking through past yearbooks because they were curious.

"Oh looks there's Rachel." Darwin pointed. "She looks so young."

"Her classmates look weird, I mean that one looks like a hairless monkey." Gumball pointed at a picture of a realistic human.

"Here's one from three years ago." Darwin said. The picture was blurry and neither could see his name.

"Hmm… If I squint he looks kind of familiar… If that is a he…" Gumball said. Anais was watching from afar and saw it.

"That might be Alvin." Anais chimed in.

"Why would Alan be in Junior High three years ago?" Darwin asked.

"Not Alan, Alvin." Gumball corrected. "Sounds familiar…"

"Oh yeah, when we were first in 6th grade. He was already in 8th grade." Darwin said.

"Oh man, he was more brutal than Jamie and Tina combined." Gumball shuddered.

The flashback began, Gumball and Darwin took their first steps into middle school. In fifth grade, they were the biggest kids in the school, but now they were the smallest.

They looked up and saw a very mean red guy. His face was terrifying and he was so huge they couldn't see with his shadow in the way.

"Um… Hi I'm Gumball and this is Darwin…" Gumball gulped. The bully roared then turned tied Gumball and Darwin's bodies together.

"Well, we can take comfort in knowing we will never see him again." Gumball sighed.

Later on, Gumball and Darwin were going to the park to reminisce.

"Remember when we turned into big burly men?" Gumball chuckled.

"And we fired each other from our own job." Darwin chuckled back.

"Hey, Gumball." A high pitched voice said. The two saw a familiar chipper teal balloon.

"Hey, Alan!" Darwin said cheerfully. "Want to get some ice cream?"

"Sorry, but I can't, Alvin will be here any minute." Alan said. Gumball and Darwin froze, and worst of all Alan was acting as if it was no big deal.

"Did you saw Alvin?" Darwin shuddered.

"Yeah, don't you remember him?" Alan asked.

"Alan, behind you!" Gumball and Darwin saw the same huge terrifying figure they saw in their flashback.

"Stay away from Alan, Alvin!" Gumball threw a pebble at the guy's eye.

"Ow, I'm not Alvin, my name is Gerald, you jerks!" Gerald ran away crying.

"Gumball, that wasn't very nice and does that look anything like my cousin?" Alan shook his head (or his body which was just his head).

"He looks exactly how I rem- WHAT THE WHAT, ALVIN IS YOUR COUSIN?!" Gumball and Darwin's jaws were agape.

As if on cue, a red balloon floated up to them, he was not big or terrifying whatsoever, though he had a scar drawn with marker near his drawn eyes, his eyebrows were almost permanently angry, and he was slightly bigger than Alan. But other than that he looked like a normal guy.

"Sup." Alvin said in a high pitched voice, though slightly lower and more gravelly than Alan's.

"Yeah, you are much less menacing than I remember." Gumball said.

"Oh, I can be menacing…" Alvin grumbled, glaring at Gumball and Darwin.

"But how can this be? You were the most terrifying bully in school and Alan…" Darwin said.

"Was too nice for his own good." Gumball finished.

"Yeah, he's coming to live with me for a while." Alan smiled so much he was squinting.

"What if he beats you up?" Darwin asked.

"Are you kidding? I treat him way better than your friend right here does." He glared at Gumball.

"Oh come on, we're friends now." Alan corrected.

"Yeah, well, come on cuz, let me take you home." Alvin held Alan's string with his own and took him home.

"I guess you learn new things every day." Darwin concluded.
