Time for a Snoop's on, Casagrande style
Disclaimer: I don't own The Casagrandes
Inside the apartment of 2A, Carl and CJ were watching T.V in the den. Bobby suddenly wanders around the couch, much to the former's annoyance and the latter's curiosity.
"Hey! I'm trying to watch T.V!" Carl shouted, annoyed.
"Bobby, what are you looking for?" CJ asked.
"A book for my essay," Bobby replied.
"Does the word 'bookshelf' not say anything to you?" Carl asked half heartedly.
"I looked, but Carlitos took them all to build a fort."
Carlitos makes a small cameo, using the books for his fort.
Bobby looks behind a chair to find a purple book with a skateboard on the cover. "Cool, I found a book…and what looks like an old taquito." Lalo eats the taquito and leaves. Bobby sits in a chair, opens the book and starts reading. "Hey, what do you know? It's about a girl named Ronnie Anne. She has a brother named Bobby…and a friend named Lincoln in Royal Woods."
"Wait a minute," Carl spoke as he and CJ got up and walked to their cousin. "Give me that," Carl grabs the book, reads it and gasps in shock.
"What's wrong? Is it too scary for you?" Bobby asked.
"No," Carl responded then smirked, "But you're in huge trouble once Ronnie Anne finds out you've been reading her diary." He laughs at Bobby.
"Oh no! I just invaded my sister's privacy!" Bobby realized in horror.
"Just put it away, Ronnie Anne won't know," CJ suggested.
Bobby brightened up, "You're right, CJ. I put it back where it was."
"Party pooper," Carl grumbled. Bobby made a hand gesture for the diary. "Do I have too? I just got to the part about her big secret."
"Big secret?" CJ asked, "What big secret?"
Carl showed as CJ and Bobby get close. The latter reads…"But I could never tell mi familia that my big secret-"
The sound of the doorknob rattling interrupted the group. "Hmm, I know I put that key somewhere," Ronnie Anne talked to herself from the other side of the door.
The boys panicked as Carl quickly put the diary back where it was. "Act natural!"
Ronnie Anne comes into the apartment. The boys pretended to watch T.V as the former grabbed the diary and went to her room.
The bedroom door closes and the boys sighed relief. "That was close," said Carl.
"I know! Imagine how upset Ronnie Anne would be, if she knew we read her diary," Bobby vented a bit.
"Well, you found it first," Carl remarked.
"Hey!" Bobby snapped back.
Carl rolled his eyes "Fine, todos los leemos, we all read it. But accidents happen, and as long as Ronnie Anne doesn't find out, it's smooth sailing."
"No matter how big her secret is," CJ concluded.
But all three of them had second thoughts.
The next day, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, CJ and Carl were at the dining table, eating breakfast. Ronnie Anne finishes and gets up. "Bye guys, I'm off to hang out with Sid and Lincoln. Be back soon."
"Bye sis," Bobby bid her farewell as she left the apartment. "Let's go," he signaled the others.
But before they could get up…Rosa appears. "After you finished desayuno," she said, sternly pointing to the unfinished plates.
A while later, the boys entered Ronnie Anne's room. "Hurry, let's find the diary before she gets back," Carl told the group.
They searched around for a bit, until CJ looked behind the fridge full of paletas. "Found it." The other two gathered around as CJ read…"But I could never tell mi familia that my big secret…is that I cutted class to see this wicked slasher movie at the Cinema." The boys gasped in shock.
R.A's voiceover and flashback:
Who cares about English when there's a movie calling my name? So Ryan, Bex and I snuck out of school and went to see that movie. It was so worth it!
Ronnie Anne and two punk kids exited the school. Ryan had short white hair, and Bex's hair was long and blue. Both kids had leather jackets and black beanies. All three of them went on a subway to the theater.
End flashback:
"I don't understand! Why would Ronnie Anne skip school when she knows it's bad?" Bobby vented.
"And who are Ryan and Bex?" CJ asked, "They sound like bad people."
"CJ's right. We have to talk to her about this," Bobby proclaimed.
Carl made a buzzer sound with a thumbs down, "We can't, because she'll know that we've been snooping."
"Oh, right," Bobby realized, "Well, let's just pretend none of this ever happened and not read it anymore. Sounds good?"
"Yep," CJ and replied while Carl huffed.
Later in the afternoon, Ronnie Anne comes home, scratching her left forearm.
"Nini, you okay?" Bobby asked from the den with concern.
"Oh yeah, just uhh…may have been a bug bite," Ronnie Anne answered. The siblings looked at Lalo, who looked at them, confused. The former leaves to her room as Bobby lets out a hmm.
A while later, Rosa was at the front door. "Ronalda, could you come help me pick up ingredients for tonight's dinner? I need more masa for tamales," She requested.
"Coming, Abuela," Ronnie Anne said, coming out of her room. As soon as the two leave, Bobby quickly sneaks into her room, snatches the diary and goes into his room. He opens and reads…
R.A's voiceover and flashback:
Dear diary,
I finally did it! I got a tattoo!
Inside a tattoo parlor, Ronnie Anne is seen with a female skull tattoo with green flames on the arm she rubbed. Ryan and Bex approved with a double thumbs up as Ronnie Anne laughed.
End flashback:
Bobby gasped in horror and cried a little. "Why sis? Why'd you do it?"
Late evening in the 2B apartment, a sleepy Carl grabbed a cup of water and started to go back to his room. But then he heard what appeared to be the sound of feet pattering. He tip-toed to the front door, turned the doorknob and cracks open a sliver. To his shock, he sees Ronnie Anne walking inside her apartment and closing the door. This leaves Carl wondering about her last whereabouts.
The next morning, Ronnie Anne tiredly walked to the bathroom and closed the door. Carl saw the coast was clear and goes in his cousin's room to swipe the diary. He took it back to his apartment and opened it to read the last entry.
R.A's voiceover and flashback:
Tonight was so awesome! Forget about studying for exams! Ryan and Bex threw a wicked cool party at their place, and of course I had to come.
"Bring it on!" Ronnie Anne shouted with enthusiasm as she danced the night away.
End flashback:
Carl gulped uneasy after reading it, "Oh boy."
As the day passed, Ronnie Anne is seen helping Rosa cook in the kitchen. Little did either of them knew, a tiny surveillance camera hidden was placed behind some jars, watching them.
CJ and Bobby were watching from the latter's room on the latter's phone. "Look at her. Acting all good to fool Abuela," Bobby mocked, "She's probably fooled everyone by now."
CJ shrugged and thought differently, "Or she's just helping out."
All of the sudden, Carl bursts in. "Guys. You better have a look at Ronnie Anne's latest diary entry! She's gone mad!"
"What does it say? It's blurry," CJ said as he had a hard time reading it.
"I ran out of time," Carl said, exasperated, "She, Ryan and Bex are planning to cause chaos all over town!"
R.A's voiceover and flashback:
Dear diary,
Tonight, we shall go down in history as the punks of Great Lakes city. First, we're gonna dump a whole lot of applesauce into the park fountain. Then, we'll release the monkeys from the zoo. After that, we start some fights with bikers at 'Rough and tumble' bar. Finally, we steal the 'C' and 'A' right off the School. It's gonna be epic!
End flashback:
The boys were freaking out at the actions their cousin/sister planned.
"My sister committing crimes all over town? Okay, definitely she's gone crazy here!" Bobby vented.
"We need to talk to Tia Maria! Ronnie Anne could get big trouble!" CJ added in a panic.
"But if we tell anyone, she'll hate us for snitching and reading her diary!" Carl pointed out to the group.
"So what do we do?!" Bobby asked.
Carl thought for a bit and smiled. "I got a great idea…"
Night soon fell, and the boys were on their bikes ninja uniforms. Carl explained, "Okay, We know Ronnie Anne's schedule. All we have to do is be a step ahead of her and sabotage her crimes before she even commits them. Alright, move out!"
The group comes in and out of Hi-and-Buy with them carrying a giant barrel of applesauce. "Good job guys, now Ronnie Anne can't dump this in the fountain!" Bobby cheered but then realized, "But what do we do with all this?"
"Throw it away?," CJ suggested.
"No!" Carl objected, "Never waste applesauce."
The group made their next stop at the zoo to the monkey habitat. "Okay, if we open the cages, and hide the monkeys in the animal hospital, Ronnie Anne won't get a chance to release them." But once the boys opened the cage, the monkeys went crazy and ran wild. They struggled to catch them.
"Get back here, monkeys!" Bobby and CJ shouted repeatedly.
Something came to Carl as he tried to lift the heavy barrel of applesauce.
"Carl, this isn't the time to be eating applesauce." Bobby reprimanded him.
"I'm not!" Carl defended while still trying to lift, "I'm…gonna…leave…a…trail…to…the…hospital!"
Bobby realized, "Oh! Good thinking!" He steps in and lifts the barrel with ease, dropping Carl at the same time and attaching it to the back of a cart. Bobby drives as he leaves a trail to the hospital. The monkeys saw the applesauce and quickly licked it all the way to the hospital as Bobby closed the door and drives back to meet up with his cousins.
CJ cupped his ear as if he heard something. "Do you hear that? It sounds like bikes."
The group turns to see three silhouettes heading towards their direction. "Quick, Hide!" Carl instructed as they took cover behind another habitat.
Ronnie Anne, Ryan and Bex arrive at the monkey habitat, but see that it's empty. "Hey, where are the monkeys?" Ronnie Anne asked, baffled. The other two shrugged as the whole group left the scene, and Bobby's group high-fived each other in succession.
But now wasn't the time to celebrate as they made their next stop at a rough looking bar with a fight inside. "Don't tell me we have to go in. There's bikers and a fight going on," Bobby expressed his concern.
"No, because I don't want to be pulverized into a pancake," Carl said with an analogy. "We just turn off the sign so Ronnie Anne will think it's closed."
Bobby goes around back and unplugs the sign. "It's out."
Unfortunately, their success was short lived when a couple of bikers came out of the parlor. "HEY! NO ONE TOUCHES OUR SIGN! AFTER THEM!"
The boys panicked.
Fortunately for them, they escaped by riding their bikes "That was close!" CJ commented, shaken.
"We would've been off easier if Carl hadn't insulted them about their hygiene," Bobby replied, eyeing to the eight-year old.
"I could've died back there!" Carl defended himself. "But moving on, CCA's our last stop. We just have to get there before-"
"Ronnie Anne!" CJ shouted.
"Yeah, exactly."
"No, Ronnie Anne!" CJ pointed to their cousin on a ladder trying to pull off the 'C' off the school. They also see a muscle- bulked police officer on the street, patrolling.
"It's the fuzz!" Carl exclaimed, "Let's bail, cause I'm not getting busted for trespassing."
"No, we have to save Ronnie Anne," Bobby said with determination and started to walk towards her.
"Maybe they'll let her off easy?" Carl tried to get out of the rescue.
"Carl!" Bobby and CJ shouted his name.
Carl reluctantly bucked up, "Fine."
The boys ran to the school and shouted, "STOP!"
"Don't throw your life away, sis!" Bobby added.
The voices caught Ronnie Anne's attention as she looked down at the group. "What are you guys doing here?!"
They finally confessed, "We read your diary!"
"YOU WHAAAT!" Ronnie Anne shouted furiously as she slid down to confront the group. "How could you?! That's my privacy!"
"We're sorry," CJ attempted to apologize.
"We get if you hate us for the rest of your life, but we couldn't just let you ruin your life!" Bobby explained, frantically.
All of the sudden Ronnie Anne burst into hilarious laughter. "It worked!"
"What worked?" Carl asked, extremely bewildered.
Ronnie Anne confessed, "I knew you guys were reading my diary. Why'd you think I made up the whole rebellious act?"
"What?!" The boys were shocked.
"It all started the other day when I came back from Sid's apartment…"
Flashback:
Ronnie Anne comes into the apartment. The boys pretended to watch T.V as the former grabbed the diary and went to her room. She closes the bedroom door, and proceeds to put her diary away when she finds a green thread in it. "Where'd this come from?" She asked herself. She also overhears Carl sighing with relief on the other side…
"That was close," said Carl.
"I know! Imagine how upset Ronnie Anne would be, if she knew we read her diary," Bobby vented a bit.
Ronnie Anne quietly gasped in shock.
End flashback:
Bobby's group looked at each in guilt. "So I erased my real last entry, and wrote that crazy 'skipping school' story."
"And the tattoo?" Bobby asked. Ronnie pulls up her hoodie sleeve to show that it's clean.
"Well, what about sneaking out to parties?" Carl asked next.
"I never went out," Ronnie Anne told him. "I faked sneaking back in by walking in place outside the hallway. I had to do it for like 20 minutes until someone opened the door."
"What about Ryan and Bex?" CJ asked.
The kids came out of the bushes. "Ryan" takes off his beanie and jacket, revealing to be none other than…
"Lincoln?!" The boys were shocked.
"Bex" does the same with her "hair" and clothes.
"Sid?!"
"Sorry we had to fool you guys," Lincoln said half heartedly with a smirk.
"But we had to help her out somehow," Sid added.
"You guys didn't think I actually went rebel, did you?" Ronnie Anne asked. "All of this was just to get you to fess up to ready my diary."
"Sorry we doubted you," Carl apologized.
"It's okay you guys," Ronnie Anne forgave them. "And I'm sorry for messing with you to teach you a lesson."
"Wow, you really got us. This police officer looks so real, it's even got the muscles," Bobby commented as he squeezed the arms. Unfortunately, the officer growled for being touched.
"He's not part of the plan!" Ronnie Anne exclaimed. "RUUUNNN!"
Without second thoughts, everyone hopped on their bikes and took off.
"I think we forgot something," CJ spoke.
The monkey are seen still in the hospital, eating the applesauce barrel.
The End
