Hello! I did promise a new story to make up for the other one that failed (epically). So here it is! Sorry I took so long to post - we just got a puppy and I've been looking after him 24/7.

P.S. I've been reading a lot of this kind of MR fanfictions. If you think that some of my ideas may come from others, you're probably right :). because other author's ideas are in my head mixed with mine, they might show a little in my writing. Sorry if you are an author of one of those stories!

Anywho…

Disc of claimer: I am not an older man, therefore I do not own MR :)

I woke up in a familiar embrace. At first, I relaxed. Then I realized that it was another person in my bed.

Quickly, I took inventory of my surroundings and noticed a few things.

One, this was not actually my bed. Two, this said person in said room was not wearing a shirt. Three, I was wearing said person's shirt.

Panicking just a 'li'l, i tried to remember what I had done last night.

I hadn't gone to a party, so that rules out drinking. What had I done?

Oh. Yeah. I went to my best friend's house.

I took in my surroundings a little better. I was, indeed, in my best friend's room. So the person next to me…

I twisted around and immediately relaxed. It was him. Phew.

I suddenly took in the position we were in. His arm was draped over my waist, pulling me flush against his chest. A little awkward, but whatever. My movements must have woken him up, because he stirred and opened his eyes.

"Mornin', Max," he said in his gruff morning voice that I found incredibly sexy. Just don't tell him.

I should probably explain. See, me and Fang (the friend there) have been friends for well over 15 years. I am sixteen and Fang is just barely seventeen, meaning we were friends from the age of one. A long time, right? Yeah. So here we are, starting Junior year of high school. All our lives, we've been in the same classes, done the same things together and taken reps together. It helps that our mothers knew each other from University and coincidentally bought houses next to each other.

So yeah, all spend a lot of time together, and yes, we take family vacations together. The Walker's home (Fang's last name) is pretty much my second house, and his parents are basically my second parents. Just like, "hey, Mom 2, hey, Dad 2!"

That kind of thing. Of course, I don't actually call them that, because, well, human etiquette, but still. Fang also has two sisters, Nudge and Angel. Nudge is adopted, and Angel is their flesh-and-blood child (if that makes ANY sense whatsoever).

Anyways, back to the present; me and Fang.

He let go of me and rolled over not his back. I did the same, and we looked at the mess in front of us. There were candy wrappers all over the place, pop cans strewn across the floor, and Fang's TV was still on.

We looked at eachother and burst out laughing.

Once we stopped our laughfest, we looked around and started cleaning up. Fang looked at me and snickered.

My face took a look of concern. "Do I have something on me?" I asked nervously.

He smirked his signature smirk, and replied "Your hair looks divine."

I rushed to the adjoining bathroom. It was true, my hair was a mess. Like, a rats nest. It was bad. I stuck my tongue out. He raised a perfect eyebrow.

I looked at his hair. Of course, his raven-coloured hair was perfect, even though he had literally rolled out of bed a minute ago. I guess it helped that he had gotten a haircut yesterday. I made a face at him, to which he half-smiled at.

"That never gets old," he said, still sorta smiling. I snorted and continued picking up trash. Once we were done, I shut off the TV and cleaned up a little in his bathroom. I took out my toothbrush, hairbrush and an emergency set of clothes in a duffel bag I had brought the night before. I stared at my reflection for a moment. The same old. Plain blondish hair with sun streaks, tan skin, and chocolate-coloured eyes. I like to call my eye colour 'unbarfed chocolate'.I got dressed, brushed my teeth and hair, and, without thinking stuffed his t-shirt in my bag.

Hey, don't judge, it smelled like him - the woodsy, clean scent I've grown used to. It smelled good, and if you were in my situation, you would do the same. Don't you judge me. Plus, I already have a stash of his clothes in my house, for in case he comes over and needs some.

I walked out, and discovered that he was already dressed in a maroon t-shirt and a black pair of shorts. We looked at each other and went downstairs for breakfast.

His mom, Anne (She's not evil (:), had made pancakes. I ran over, nabbed a stack of them and sat down hungrily, murmuring thanks to Anne. She laughed and went back to flipping pancakes on the griddle.

Fang sat down next to me with another stack of pancakes. We both dug in. Let me tell ya, it was DELICIOUS. Just as I was finishing, my phone rang in my pocket. I took it out and saw the callerID. It was Sam, my boyfriend. He didn't exactly approve of the dynamic of me and Fang's relationship, of us sleeping together (completely innocently, I might add - we've been doing the same thing since we were six) and spending a lot of time together. Fang looked over my shoulder and stifled a laugh. He knew I was going to catch hell for sleeping over again. I groaned and picked up, with Fang still smirking in the background.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Max? Hey babe."

"What's up Sam?" I asked.

"Where are you?" He asked.

"I'm at Fang's. I spent the night."

"Again?" I could practically see the disappointment and disgust dripping off of his words.

"Yeah. Anything wrong with that?"

He replied with a possessive and arrogant remark. "Babe, you're mine, not his. What do I have to do to get you to stay the night?"

Next to me, Fang was practically keeled over laughing. He was listening too, so he heard everything.

"Sam! You know we don't do anything like that, and by the way, no thank you."

"Eh, whatever. Are you busy today?" He replied.

"Yeah, I'm spending the day with Fang," I said, which was partly true. I just didn't want to be near him at that moment.

"Oh. Well bye." He hung up with a click. Nothing more than 'bye'.

"So." I turned to Fang after putting my phone back in my pocket. "Wanna hang out today?"

He grinned unexpectedly and caught me off guard. "Sure."

So? What did you think? I really liked this chapter even though it is the first one :P. Anyways, sorry this took so long to post.

Hope you like it and don't forget to review!

One more thing, I'm not going to make Fang as 'emo' or whatever you call his style in the books. Just not my groove :)
