Shinichi P.O.V
"So have you been waiting by his bedside?" Ran teased. She came with Sonoko and apparently both knew Kaito was Kid. "I hope he doesn't die. He's the best magician I know." sighed Sonoko. "The dr said he will make it and they just need to wait for him to wake up." Keibu said. "Shinichi had the right blood type and apparently both have the same blood type." Ran rose an eyebrow. "So apparently I also have the same blood type as your hero Sonoko?" she said as she remembered that she had the same blood type as me.
However she saved me due to a sisterly thing. "Hmm. I am finding it adorable that Shinichi gave Kaito blood at the moment. It's like a romantic novel all written!" squealed Sonoko.
I sighed at this suspecting the girls would go into a romance thing about this. "So the magician brat is ok but in a coma." Kogoro said. Keibu nodded. "And you don't get to threaten him due to what he's been through. I told you that Mauri! I explained what was in the note! He's been through sexual and physical abuse." Keibu said. "I get that. I raised 2 brats too you know. I just want to know if he's ok." Uncle said. We got back to find Aoko chatting with Kaito who had his poker face up and was smileing. Aoko was scowling at him and had her hands folded.
I smiled at this and sat down beside the bed. "Mourning sunshine. See you are not doing well." I said.
"I just woke up. Ass-ko won't let it go either." he said. "I told you a million times not to use that mask on me after finding out about you Bakaito. Now tell me what's wrong?" she insisted. "Can I talk to him?" I asked. She shrugged. "You might do better I guess. He's a stubborn moron on hideing things though." she said. That I knew. "Are you nurvous about him comeing after you because he has a restraining order. He'll be arrested if he does and if he ignores that I will just use my soccar ball on him and I think you remember how that felt when I chased you." I said.
"Hai but what if he still..." he began. "I promise to look after you and not let him near you. You're liveing with me after you're released." I said. He was quite. "I have to room with you don't I due to the suicide?" he said. I smiled. "Afraid so." I answered.
I left the room and Aoko looked surprised. "He'll be fine after awhile." I said. "Oh. I was worried after finding out. He has shooters at his heist but still doesn't want me knowing everything." she said. "Said it was because his father died a different way." I smiled having suspected his dad died another way too because there was too many loop holes but it ended up being a closed case because the cops couldn't find anything. "Don't worry Aoko. He'll tell you if he has to." I said.
-A Couple of Days Later; Kaito's release day-
Shinichi P.O.V
"Think you know how my house looks and where my room is." I said guideing him inside. "I have dinner at Uncle Mouri's Monday and Friday. Feel free to join." I said. "Will they be ok with me since I am me?" he said scratching at his arms. I learned the scratching was a self-harming thing. I grabbed his arms.
"Uncle raised me in both my childhoods. He will be fine with you, theif or not. He's seen a lot of different kinds of kids as a ex-cop and detective. A theif who has been stealing for the reason you have isn't a big deal to him." I said.
I also found out his mom is always in America. She only visited Kaito once after he attempted suicide. I sighed. So he had more family with Aoko and Nakamouri-keibu. The 2 had also found out she was Phantom lady after awhile but decided to respect Kaito's family life. "Kaito's cousin is Lupin the 3rd so he has a few weird family members but Hakuba is a highschool friend and he hangs out with me and
Hakuba-san at our highschool so I guess his biological family isn't much to him." Aoko said. "Lupin and Chikage finished his training after his father died." Figured.
"So what do you usually do at home?" he asked. "Read or watch Netflix. How about we watch a series. I doubt you like the same shows I like but I know you may like something where you cant guess the ending too. Some Stephin King stuff is on here." I said. So we watched some stuff for a bit.
Kaito ended up falling asleep on my lap. I smiled holding him and then carried him to the side of the room he had and tucked him in. "Good night, Kaito." I said gently and got ready for bed.
