Chapter 2: Captain Man!
[After a 10 minute walk from his house, Henry arrived at the store Junk-N-Stuff. He goes in through the door and a dinosaur on the wall breathes fire!]
Henry: Woah!
[A man at the counter named Gooch is seen petting a Venus flytrap. He stares at Henry as he tells him why he's there.]
Henry: Hey. I'm here for the job interview...
Gooch: The back.
Henry: The back? *confused*
Gooch: Go to the back.
Henry: Okay...
[Henry is very confused but goes to the back anyway.]
Henry: There's just an elevator back here.
Gooch: Go down!
[Henry goes into the elevator taking to himself about the weird guy at the counter.]
Henry: Why would he want me to go downstairs?
[He presses the down button.]
Henry: That's pretty wei-
Henry: AHHHHHHHHHHH!
[The elevator is going down at a horrific fast speed. Henry is screaming at the top of his lungs as he's trying to catch his phone. After what seems like milliseconds, the elvator comes to a crashing halt.]
Henry: *breathing hard and grunting*
[The doors open and Henry exits the elevator. Woah! There's lights everywhere and really cool technology and a thing called Auto Snacks!]
Henry: Woah! What is this place?
[Out of nowhere, a man named Ray comes out and sits down at a desk where he's on a computer scrolling through a webpage.]
Henry: Is this the job interview?
[The man turns around slowly.]
Ray: Do you want it to be the interview?
Henry: Yes?...
Ray: Favorite color?
Henry: Orange.
Ray: Puppies or Rainbows?
Henry: Puppies.
Ray: Do you ever dream about sleeping?
Henry: What is happening?!
[The man gets up and takes a gumball tube out of his pocket. Henry is very confused at this point.]
Ray: I'm gonna blow a bubble.
Henry: You're gonna blow a bubble?
Ray: I'm gonna blow your mind!
[Ray starts chewing the bubblegum, it takes him about 5 seconds to chew, then he blows it and it pops! A few seconds later, he appears to be the one and only...]
Henry: You're... You're Captain Man!
Ray: That's right, Henry.
[Henry is so astonished at what he is seeing at that moment. He can't believe he's even in the same room as Captain Man.]
Ray: Oh no... Dang it! This zipper is always getting stuck.
Henry: How is this possible? I can't believe I'm talking with Captain Man!
Captain Man: You better believe it, Henry!
Henry: Wait... The job application was for working at Junk-N-Stuff, it said I was supposed to be working behind the counter.
Captain Man: Well, I have an offer for you, Henry. How would you like to be my sidekick?
Henry: Are you serious? This can't be real! Yes! I want to be your sidekick!
Captain Man: Now, let's get you into your sidekick costume.
[After hours of trying on costumes, they find the perfect one. It matches Captain Man's costume.]
Captain Man: Time to get you sworn in, Kid Danger. That's your sidekick name.
[They walk over by the tubes to start the initiation.]
Captain Man: Raise your right hand and put your left hand over your heart.
[Henry follows what he says.]
Captain Man: Repeat after me. I, Henry Hart..
Kid Danger: I, Henry Hart..
Captain Man: Pledge to be an awesome sidekick to Captain Man..
Kid Danger: Pledge to be an awesome sidekick to Captain Man!
Captain Man: And to never ever ever tell anyone that I am Captain Man's secret sidekick..
Kid Danger: And to never ever tell anyone that I am Captain Man's secret sidekick.
Captain Man: You left out one ever.
Kid Danger: Ever.
Captain Man: It is done.
[After a series of tests, Henry has completed the job initation. After the training, he went home, happier than he has ever been. He's now Kid Danger, and couldn't wait to tell Charlotte!]
