Chapter 13: "I Quit"

[Henry is sitting in his room, sulking with Charlotte, after the news his parents just told him. Would he be a normal kid again? Not working as a sidekick? Could this be an opportunity to spend more time, with no boss around, with Charlotte?]

"I can't believe my mom and dad are gonna make me quit. I don't know what to do, Char... If I don't pass this make-up test, I might not be able to be a superhero, but-", Henry gets cut off.

"But you can't focus on the test and you can't help it?", Charlotte says, practically reading his mind."

[Henry scoffs and tries to play off that she doesn't distract him, but she knows he's lying.]

"Babe, I know you're lying.", Charlotte says. Henry gives up his act.

"How did you know?", Henry asks, stunned.

"I know because it's obvious! I'm the one who distracts you." Henry looks at her.

"You're too in love with me to focus. At school, at work, even at home."

[She catches him staring at her lips. She gives him the look, he notices the look and gives up at holding back. He races up to and kisses her.]

"I've been waiting to do that all day.", Henry says, with a smirk.

"See what I mean. I'm a distraction. And, I don't want to be the one who makes you lose your job."

[Charlotte turns and heads toward the window to leave, but Henry grabs her should gently and turns her to him.]

"Char, baby, please don't go. It's my fault I get distracted by you, but it's not your fault. I promise to do anything to make sure you know that it's not your fault.", Henry states, genuinely.

"Are you sure, Hen? Because, if you're lying-"

[Henry interrupts her by massaging her breast and kissing and Charlotte soon realizes that Henry means what he says. The next morning, Henry eats breakfast, kisses Charlotte on the head. and heads to Junk-N-Stuff.]

"Hey, Gooch.", Henry says and waves.

"Guten Tag.", Gooch responds.

"Okay, see ya!"

[He went down the elevator and gotten used to the free-falling. The elevator door opens and Ray is on the Man-Couch. He turns around and sees Henry.]

"Kid, hey, there's no crime now. Did I triple beep butt dial you?"

"No, Ray... I came to tell you that I quit.", Henry confesses, staring at him dejectedly.
