Yami returned to the office, coffee cup in hand; the bag from his sandwich long since discarded. His curiosity about that woman, Yūgi, continued to eat at him the entire way back. He hadn't taken that much interest in someone since… well, since his ex-wife. But even she didn't keep his mind whirling the way that Yūgi woman did. Maybe he could do a Google search on her? But… that would make him a bit of a creep, wouldn't it?

He huffed in frustration. Creep mode be damned, he was way too curious for his own good about who she was to not research her. And it wasn't like he was stalking her or anything. He was just going to run a simple Google search to get a general idea of who she was, nothing more. It wasn't like he was looking for her address and phone number after all.

Sitting down at his desk, he fired up his computer before pulling up the browser and heading to Google. He glanced at the spelling of her name on the coffee cup that sat next to his left hand, noting the spelling before typing it into the search bar and pressing enter. He scrolled for several seconds before coming across something that caught his eye. Pressing the link, it brought him to the info page of an architect firm located there in Domino. He recognized the name of the firm, his cousin's wife, Josephine, worked there as an architect. She'd met Seto when he commissioned her firm to design the structure for the Kaiba Land theme park that opened a seven years back.

Wine red hues skimmed over the names of the architects that worked there, spotting Joey's name easily enough. And then he froze when he saw the name of the Lead Architect of the firm. Yūgi Muto. That couldn't be the same woman, was it?

He scrolled down a bit further, gazing at the picture of the architects that worked at the firm. And there, front and centre, was Yūgi, the woman he'd, literally, ran into at Starbucks. She was smiling brightly, standing next to Joey who practically towered over her, a man on her other side. Her arms were wrapped around their waists, pulling them in as close as possible when the photo was taken. He couldn't help but notice that she was wearing the same dress he'd seen her in when he ran into her.

His elbow planted itself on the desktop, fist balled to support his chin as he leaned forward. He continued to read through the biographies of each architect that worked for the firm, paying extra close attention to Yūgi's when he reached it. He'd learned that she had a younger sister, two years her junior, both of them being raised by their grandparents after their parents passed away in a tragic car accident when Yūgi was but four years old. She'd been an employee at the firm for the last seven years, having landed the job straight out of college. She'd been in her role as Lead Architect for the last three.

He'd been so lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice his brother had come into his office until Atem tapped against the door. Embarrassed, he quickly closed out of the tab so that his brother couldn't see before glancing up at the other man who made his way towards him.

"What's got your attention," Atem asked, taking a seat in one of the offered chairs in the large office. "Something I need to know about?"

"Nothing at all," Yami answered, picking up his coffee cup to take a sip of the still hot liquid.

"Who's Yūgi," Atem asked suddenly, irking a brow.

Yami sputtered, almost choking on his coffee, "What?"

"The name on the cup," Atem pointed out.

"Oh," was the only reply he could give as he glanced at the name. He hadn't realized he'd had it facing towards his brother for him to see. "Someone I, literally, ran into when I went to grab coffee. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, too focused on my phone. When I ran into her, I dropped my coffee and she was kind enough to replace it because she thought it was her fault when it wasn't. I tried to talk her out of it to no avail."

"Ah, that was kind of her," Atem hummed. His eyes never left his brother's face. There was something about the way he'd rushed through the explanation that sent Atem's mind reeling. The last time he was like this, was with his ex-wife. "So, was she pretty?"

"Have you finished the declination letter," Yami asked, quickly changing the subject. He was not about to get into this with his brother. "I want to review it and have it sent off before the day is over. I don't want to think about work over the weekend."

"Done and sent to you," Atem answered. "I actually came to see what you thought about it. I hadn't realized you'd left to get coffee. Did you eat?"

"Yes father," Yami answered, opening the Outlook app on his computer.

The email from his brother with the letter was the most recent he'd received. He opened it, then opened the document and began reading in silence. All the while, his brother sat there and watched him. Something told him that more happened to his brother with that little encounter than he let on. And he was determined to find out exactly what it was his brother was hiding, no matter what means it took to do it. To start, he'd have to conduct a good old Google search on this Yūgi Muto person.

.cani?.

Yūgi hummed as she walked into her firm's building shortly after the fiasco at Starbucks. The man she'd run into had been damned attractive and she'd had to play off that flutter in her heart that she was all too aware of so not to freak him out. If only she'd been paying attention to where she was actually going, she would have missed running into him. But, if she had, she wouldn't have been able to hold his company, even if it were only for a few minutes.

She took a slow sip of her latte as she continued to her private office, the curve of her mouth lifted upward. She'd been so lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice her best friend walking beside her until she spoke.

"You're smiling," Joey said, smirking at the tri-colour haired woman. She didn't miss the way Yūgi jumped at the sound of her voice. "And you're distracted. Normally, you would have noticed me walking beside you long before now."

"Joey, good grief," Yūgi said after shaking off her jitters. "You scared the hell out of me. Make noise the next time you decide to pop up out of nowhere, please."

"Yūgi, my heels are clicking loud as hell against the floor," Joey pointed out. "I couldn't make anymore noise if I tried unless I literally shouted your name. Now, what's got you so distracted."

"Nothing," Yūgi immediately lied, "Absolutely nothing."

"Bullshit," Joey snorted, turning her nose up in the air and folding her arms across her chest as they walked into Yūgi's office. "Now, we're going to try this again. What's got you so distracted?"

Yūgi gestured for her to close the door, which she did. Taking a seat at her desk, Yūgi sighed. "How much would you believe me if I told you I met the sexiest guy I've ever seen in my life at Starbucks a few minutes ago?"

"Oh," Joey asked, irking a brow. She was clearly intrigued by this little detail. "And who might this guy be? You get his name?"

"Sort of, but not from him exactly," Yūgi admitted sheepishly.

"Wait, what," Joey asked, confused. "Okay, start from the beginning and tell me everything."

"Okay," Yūgi said with a sigh. "So, I went to go get my coffee because I definitely needed it this morning. So, as I'm walking into Starbucks, I was answering your text and not paying attention to where I was going. And I guess he wasn't paying attention to where he was going either because we tried to use the same door at the same time and ran into one another."

"Wow, you've really got to start paying more attention to where you're going, Yūg," Joey teased with a low chortle.

"It's your fault, your text distracted me," Yūgi defended haughtily as she fired up her computer and logged in with her credentials. "But anyway, we were both clearly not paying attention to where we were going and ran smack dab into one another, which made him drop his coffee. And of course, I picked it up and peeped his name when I looked to see what he'd ordered so that I could replace his drink since I'd made him drop it in the first place."

"And what was his name," Joey inquired.

"His name was Yami, if I recall correctly," Yūgi answered as she pulled up a 3D model of a new home she'd been contracted to design for some billionaire.

Something about that name struck a chord in Joey. "Describe him to me, Yūg. What'd he look like?"

"He was tall," Yūgi hummed thoughtfully as she recalled his appearance, making alterations to her model as she spoke. "Pretty tanned skin. And he had this wayward tri-coloured hair that he'd tried to pull in a ponytail only the blonde part wouldn't really stay. And his eyes, they were like a deep wine red. I'd never seen eyes like that before and I thought me, Hana and Grandpa's eyes were exotic."

No wonder the man sounded so familiar to Joey. He knew exactly who the man that Yūgi ran into was. With a grin, she pulled out her phone and went to her photos. It only took a second before she found the photograph she was looking for. She showed the picture to Yūgi with a smile, "That him?"

Yūgi glanced up from her model to look at Joey's phone and almost fell over. Right there, in the photo, next to Joey and her husband, Seto, was the guy she'd run into at Starbucks. She swallowed thickly, nodding her head. "Yep, that's definitely him alright. How do you know him, Joey?"

Joey locked the screen and tucked the photo in the pocket of her slacks again. "He's Seto's younger cousin, Yami Sennen. He's the youngest of the Sennen brothers and runs Sennen Corp. alongside his twin brother, Atem."

"Wait, there's two of them," Yūgi squeaked, making Joey chuckle. "Joey, don't laugh at me darn it."

"Can't be helped," Joey said, still laughing. "I still can't believe you've met one of Seto's cousins. He's a nice guy though. Divorced with a kid, but definitely good people."

"Whoa, wait, he's divorced," Yūgi asked, shocked. "What kind of woman would leave that behind?"

"The kind that's nothing but a snake," Joey answered with a shrug. "But that's another story for another time. Now, if ya wanna see him again, I can try and set something up for ya."

"I would like that very much, yes," Yūgi admitted, a pretty blush settling over the bridge of her nose. "But, I think I will take my chances trying to run into him –no not literally, again, on my own."

"Suit yourself," Joey chuckled as she turned to leave the office. "Just let me know if you change your mind. It'll be easy enough to conveniently invite you somewhere he's going to be. Oh, by the way, that billionaire called earlier, wants to know the progress you've made on his house. Might wanna call 'im back when ya get the chance."

Yūgi simply shook her head as she watched her best friend leave her office. She still couldn't believe Joey knew Mr. Hot-Starbucks-Guy-That-Almost-Spilled-Hot-Coffee-All-Over-Her. If Yūgi didn't happen to cross paths with Yami again within the next few weeks, then she would ask Joey to arrange a meeting. For now, though, she had a client to get back to. Glancing at the phone list that she'd had tapped to her desk, she dialed the number of her most recent client and placed the phone to her ear.

"So, what do you think," Atem asked his brother when he finished reading the declination letter. "Anything to add or take out?"

"It's perfect for the most part," Yami answered as he pressed send on the email. "I've made a few suggestions, however. It should already be in your email."

"Good," Atem said as he stood, casting one last glance at the coffee cup to check the spelling of the name before he turned to leave. "Mana is making ful medames. Care to join us for dinner?"

"As much as I would love to," Yami said, eyes still focused on his computer, "Hikari and I are going to be going to Seto's for dinner. He'd invited me over because apparently there was something he wished to talk to me about. I'm not entirely sure of his reasons, honestly. Perhaps next time we will join yourself and Mana."

"Very well," Atem hummed as he left the office. "I'll let Mana know she doesn't have to make extra."

"Maybe we can get together this weekend and do something with the girls," Yami offered.

"We'll discuss it more later," Atem promised as the door closed behind him.

Yami's attention returned to his computer. The CFO of the company had emailed him about discrepancies that he had found. He would go through and double check the work, make sure that there actually wasn't a discrepancy before emailing the CFO back.

The rest of the workday went by rather quickly. He hadn't returned to that firm's website at all, too busy to do so, no matter how much his mind screamed at him to look her up again and see if he could find anything else that he might have missed in his original search. Besides, he wasn't supposed to be interested in anyone. He'd been played once already by a woman who he thought loved him as much as he'd loved her. Had began to build a family with her only for everything to come crashing down in the end. He'd vowed that he wouldn't so willingly trust another woman after the divorce was final, after all.
