Arcadia...
People running away from battles, buildings being destroyed from both sides, turrets exploding in the sky above the people. Sparking were raining down on them while Daleks and soldiers firing, making sure no one gets the advantage over the other. Screams, crying and explosions deafen the area before the silence of death engulfs it. Soldiers were helping the civilians escape the attackers, guiding them away from the battle as best as they could.
But ground troops appear out of the black smoke; a Dalek emerges. "Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!"
A soldier was retreating to a safe area as he dodges the Dalek's attacks; he goes into a destroyed building and leans against a wall. He pulls of a communicator, "Message for the High Council, Priority Omega. Arcadia has fallen. I repeat, Arcadia has fallen."
The soldiers turns and sees a TARDIS there as a man walks over towards him. The man had a deep silver coloring of hair, slicked up in peaks at the top of his head. He had pronounced wrinkles and weary eyes. Also, had a full grown beard. He wears a old fashioned and worn leather overcoat, a frayed scarf knitted in a zigzag pattern, and a Victorian-style waistcoat. He also wore also aged trousers, a box-frame belt with several fastener pins and studded pinholes, and combat boots adorned with weathered gaiters, which had a few buttons missing. His oldest article of dress was a bandolier across his left shoulder.
The man stops and speaks to the soldier, "Soldier, I'm going to need your gun."
The soldier easily hands it over to the man as the man turns to the wall and starts firing at it.
Meanwhile...
A swarm of Daleks had a group of Gallifreyans in the center, ready to end them.
They all chorus, "Exterminate! Exterminate. Exterminate!"
The older Gallifreyans were trying to protect the younger ones, putting them behind adults as one begs to them. "Please. Please, just don't."
One of the Dalek shouts, "Alert! Alert! The Doctor is detected. Repeat, The Doctor is detected!"
The Daleks turn their swarm around as they scream, "The Doctor is surrounded!"
They begin to move to the Doctor's location as one states, "Inform High Command we have the Doctor."
One informs the command, "We have found the Doctor."
They reply in a holographic screen appearing before the Daleks, "Find the Doctor. Seek him and destroy him. We must exterminate him. Seek, locate, destroy."
While the Daleks were repeating, "Seek, locate, destroy."
The Gallifreyan family sneaks away, quickly and quietly. When the transmission ends, they repeat. "Seek, locate, destroy. Seek, locate, destroy. Seek, locate, destroy."
The old man finishes firing at the wall, having etched 'No More' onto it; he passes the gun back to the soldier. Before the soldier could say anything, he heard the Daleks coming.
"Seek, locate, destroy. Seek, locate, destroy. Seek, locate, destroy," he gulps in fear as they approach the area.
"Seek, locate, destroy. Seek-" a few Daleks were interrupted as a TRADIS smashes through the wall and bashing them, which destroyed most of them.
One was still activate as it moves its lens, "The... Doc...tor... is... escap...ping. Repeat, The... Doc...tor is... escap...ping."
It turns its lens to the wall and reads the message the old man, a.k.a the Doctor, left 'No More'.
The Dalek demands, "What are these words? Explain. Explain. Explain."
The soldier turns from the corner of the wall and fires at it, killing it and then it explodes into flames as it engulfs the others. He runs from the scene to help his people.
War room...
Inside the Citadel, two members of the High Council were walking into the room.
"General," the other speaks, "The High Council is in emergency session. They have plans of their own."
The other member turns to him, "To hell with the High Council. Their plans have already failed."
He turns around and walks with the man behind as he speaks, "Gallifrey's still in the line of fire. So, he was there then?"
They reach a console and turns to the other member, "Well, Androgar?"
"Yes," the other member, a.k.a Androgar, nods.
He places his hand on the console as he states, "He left a message."
Everyone sees the holographic image, 'No More'.
Androgar adds, "A written warning for the Daleks. He's a fool."
The General quips, "No, he's a madman."
Androgar walks around the console as the holographic image of 'No More' vanishes, "As you can see, sir, all Dalek fleets surrounding the planet now converging on the capital, but the Sky Trenches are holding."
Boom!
There was a loud explosion, shaking the building and everyone inside.
The General growls angrily, "Where did he go next?"
Androgar counters, "What does it matter? This is their biggest ever attack, sir. They're throwing everything at us."
A woman walks over to them quickly, "Sir, we have a security breach to the Time Vaults."
The General turns to her and then walks away with Androgar and the Time Lady following him. He walks over to a panel and glides his hand over it as it shows a projection, "The Omega Arsenal, where all the forbidden weapons are locked away."
She nods in confirmation as Androgar retorts, "They're not forbidden any more. We've used them all against the Daleks."
The General comments, "No. No we haven't."
He turns to two guards, "You two follow. Now."
They nod as they follow the General with Androgar at his side as the enter an elevator and it descends to the lower levels of the tower.
"What other weapons could there be?" Androgar asks curiously and frighteningly.
"One... Just one," the General states, "The ultimate weapon."
Androgar was going to ask another question, but stops seeing how serious he was. Once the elevator stops, they go out and the four go through numerous doors until they approach the Omega Arsenal. General opens it and they walk in only to find an empty spot. The General walks over to the stand and shakes his head, "The Moment is gone."
"I don't understand. What is the Moment? I've never heard of it. What can it do?" Androgar asks as he takes a few steps over to the General.
The General sighs, "The Moment..."
He turns to Androgar and continues, "The galaxy eater. The final work of the ancients of Gallifrey. A weapon so powerful, the operating system became sentient. According to legend, it developed a conscience. That conscience can go through space and time."
Androgar asks, "And we've never used it?"
The General answers, "How do you use a weapon of ultimate mass destruction when it can stand in judgment on you? There is only one man who would even try."
Meanwhile on a desert planet a ways away from any Daleks and Time Lords...
A man is walking and carrying an object in his knapsack as he travels away from his TRADIS. He climbs many dune hills, and avoid steep and shifting sand as he talks to himself, "Time Lords of Gallifrey, Daleks of Skaro, I serve notice on you all. Too long I have stayed my hand. No more. Today you leave me no choice. Today, this war will end. No more. No more."
Upon going down a hill, he finds an old and abandoned barn. He walks over to it and enters the lonely building as he closes the door behind him. He notices how banged up and rundown the barn is. But, it is better here than out in the open. He sighs as he puts down the sack and opens it as he reveals a brass inlaid clockwork box. He examines the thing closely, "How, how do you work?"
He sighs, "Why is there never a big red button?
He hears scuffling noises, and opens the door as he pops his head outside. "Hello? Is somebody there?"
He looks to both sides as he mutters, "Nothing."
He closes the door again and walks over to the device as he scratches his beard.
Hoooowwwllllll!
He stops as he looks at the door and again he opens it as he looks around.
"It's nothing," he immediately closes the door and looks around inside for the voice, "It's just a wolf."
"Who's there?" he asks as he looks around.
Before the question could be answered, a swirling vortex opens above him as he hears a scream. "Ahhhhh!"
Two women fall down onto the floor.
"Oh..." one groans as she gets up, "Ow."
She rubs her sore shoulder, she looks around the place and sees an old man there looking perplexed at what had happened. Her eyes shift as they follow the sound of another groaning voice similar to her own.
"You!" she screams as she crawls backwards.
The other woman who looked exactly like her immediately stands up and runs over to her.
She puts her hands over the other woman's throat as she threatens, "Prepare to die!"
The other woman is struggling to keep the attacker at bay all the while looking at the old man.
The old man looks at them, 'At the rate they're going, l don't think they'll ever stop. They're ready to fight to the death and that's a fight that nobody is going to win. l wish there were some way to stop them. l don't know what to do. No... I do know. l'd rather risk my life to save them, than let them destroy each other. No... I won't let them. '
He walks over to them and pulls the attacker off as he puts a gun at her, "That's enough."
She puts her hands up, "D-don't kill me."
She points a trembling hand to the other her, "She's a monster, she's a Zygon. Kill her."
The man turns to the woman as she shakes her head, "No... I'm not the monster. She's lying, she's the monster."
He looks into her eyes, almost checking something as if they held the answer.
The other woman grabs her stomach, "What...are you doing?! Kill her now before she kills us!"
The man turns back to the other woman and states, "I'm giving you this one chance. Leave."
She asks confused, "What?"
"Leave now and never come back," he speaks as he puts away his weapon.
"But...I'm the victim here," she said as she points to herself, "See. She has even injured me."
"I know you're lying," he explains, "You're the Zygon and you are dying from going through that portal thing."
She darken her brown eyes, "If I'm gonna die, I won't go alone."
She stands and charges at him, but stops as she falls onto the floor. The old man looks and sees the other woman holding a pipe as she tosses it aside.
She looks at him, "Now...Where am I?"
The old man takes the rope for the sack and ties the hands of the copy as he looks at her and said, "Near Gallifrey."
Her eyes turn in saucers as she slowly sits down, "D-Did you say... Did you say Gallifrey?"
He nods as she looks down and shakes her head, "No... No, this... It can't be."
"It is," the old man comments and then asks, "Now to more pressing matters, where did you come from? When did you come from? What is your name? What are you?"
The woman closes her eyes as she tries to focus, "Um... Rose. Rose Tyler is my name and I'm human and was on Earth in 1562."
"Well, you are far away from home then, Rose. How'd it happen?" he asks Rose.
"Basically... I fought the Zygon and then that portal swallowed us up and we landed here," Rose summarizes it.
She glances at the portal as it was still open, "What...does that mean I can go through it and back?"
He stands up in front of her, "Not a good idea. If you go in, you might not go back to where you came. You might end up in a totally different time period."
"Great," she scoffs, "Just great. So...I'm stuck here."
She starts to tear up, "No... It can't end like this. He needs me."
"Who?" the old man asks curiously as Rose wipes her eyes, "This man I fancy."
She smirks, "I don't know why I just said that."
She turn to him, "It feels like... I know you."
"You couldn't have," he said as he carries the copy away.
She get angry and looks at him, "You, you did this."
"What?" he asks shocked as Rose continues, "Yeah. You can fix this. Send me back. Come on, send me back."
"I can't," he answers as he looks at the vortex, "I didn't make that thing."
She falls onto her knees and speaks softly, "Please... You can't do this to me. You can't."
He goes on one knee as she cries, "Take me back! Take me back now!"
"It isn't me who did this," the old man explains as she hits the ground.
"Then help me," she begs him, "Please."
He looks at her, "You don't even know who I am and yet you want me to help you?"
She looks up to him with a light sob, "You saved me. You're good, I can tell by your eyes that you're good."
He looks to the side, "I'm not good. Not what I'm going to do."
He sighs as she dries her eyes and the man asks her, "Mind telling me again how you arrived here?"
She gulps as she nods, "Sure."
Meanwhile in the Tardis traveling...
A 19 years old woman, 5'4" in height, slim build with shoulder-length blonde hair, wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans with a pair of sneakers. She was looking at the man handling the TRADIS and smiles at him. He was a handsome man with a tall, slim frame, finely boned hands and face, thick dark brown hair flattened forwards, pale skin scattered with freckles, and large, dark brown eyes. He wears a dark brown suit with blue pinstripes and his footwear was trainers.
"Doctor," the woman asks as she walks around the console, "Where are we going now?"
"Wherever you want," the man, a.k.a. The Doctor, smiles.
"Hmmm," the woman thought as she leans on the console, "I don't really know."
"Rose," The Doctor speaks with an eager smile, "I think I know where to go."
"Really?" the woman, a.k.a. Rose, turns to him, "Where, when and who?"
"England," The Doctor turns to her, "1562. With Queen Elizabeth the First."
"Ooh," Rose smiles, "We get to see Queen Elizabeth the First?"
"Indeed," he smiles back at her as he pulls a lever and the TARDIS speeds up.
Rose turns her head to a side as she hears a soft whisper echoing before fading, "Bad Wolf... Bad Wolf... Bad... Wolf..."
She turns to her side and then glances around, knowing she heard something.
"Rose?" she turns back to the Doctor as he looks at her, "what's the problem?"
"Nothing," she quickly states as he glances at her, "I'm fine, really."
They fell the TARDIS land and she speaks, "Well..."
She eyed the door and the Doctor stands up straight and smiles; both of them go out the door and see they are in a countryside.
"Um...Doctor?" Rose turns to him, "How far are we from her castle?"
He puts his finger in his mouth and then raises it to the sky, then he goes onto the ground and takes a sample of the ground before licking it.
"You know... Sometime I wonder if you're a dog or a man," Rose lightly jest as the Doctor stands up and looks at her, "Dogs? Well I love dogs, what isn't to love about them. Smart, full of energy, quick and fun."
She adds, "You forgot protective, friendly and loyal as well. Like a wolf with it's pack."
She lightly bumps her shoulder into his as she asks, "So... How far are we?"
"We're three hundred yards or .17 of a mile away from a field which as far from the castle," the Doctor states as he makes a face.
"What?" she asks him.
"Just that," he licks his mouth, "I don't know. Something here isn't right."
"Well then," she walks back inside the TARDIS, "we might need to investigate then won't we."
The Doctor smiles, "You are right."
He runs in as she closes the door and the TARDIS dematerializes before materializes in a meadow in the bend of a river. The Doctor and Rose step out of it and walk around as he talks to Rose, "Elizabeth was the daughter of King Henry VIII of England and his second wife Anne Boleyn."
"Can't believe I get to see Elizabeth the First," Rose squeals as she lightly laughs.
"Yeah," the Doctor said, "Elizabeth "the Virgin Queen"."
He adds, "Let's hope "Good Queen Bess" can allow us to look around here."
"Did she have any siblings?" Rose asks the Doctor.
"Many people believe she did," the Doctor explains, "Her immediate predecessor was her elder half-sister Mary I."
"Whoa..." Rose turns to him, "Mary I, as in Bloody Mary. Really?"
"Hey," he comments as he turns to her, "I didn't make it up."
They laugh as he stops and sniffs, "Yeah...Something isn't right."
"You sure?" Rose asks as she looks around.
"We're getting closer to it," he said, "this way."
They walk over to a horse's stable where they find a red haired woman wearing a big poof-y yellow dress, dismounting from the horse.
"Excuse me, but who dare enter my stables?" she states seriously.
The Doctor shows his psychic paper from his wallet, "Does this answer your question?"
She takes the paper and shocked, "Duke of Savoy?"
She looks back at him, "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were coming today."
"It's okay," he smiles as she hands back the wallet and he explains, "She's must trusted stable hand."
"What?" Rose softly asks.
"She helps around my stables brilliantly," he said as he ignores Rose's comment, "thought we go could on a ride if you don't mind."
She smiles, "Of course. But, first you must been famish from your travels."
Both nod as they follow her and the Doctor turns to Rose as she glares at him, "Really? Stable hand. That's the best thing you can think of?"
"It worked didn't it," the Doctor retorts as they follow Elizabeth the first and leave the stables.
Later on...
They're back at the stables with the Doctor and the Queen, she is on the pillion, on the white horse.
"I'm going to take you around and then be back," he said as the Queen glares at him, "I can ride myself thank you very much. Besides, you two barely ate any of the food."
"I don't even why I'm doing this," she mutters as the Doctor grins, "because you like adventure."
He turns to Rose and whispers, "Check around here for anything suspicious, but don't get hurt."
She looks back to him, "Don't worry. I won't."
She nods as he looks at her before making a clicking sound which starts the horse's gallop. When they were gone, Rose took a few steps backwards before turning around and looking at the place. She was scanning it with the Doctor's sonic screwdriver and reading the result off the psychic paper.
"So far nothing," she mutters as she continues to search.
Few minutes later...
The TARDIS's door opens, and the Doctor gallops out on the white horse, with the Queen on the pillion. The horse stops a distance away from it.
"Allons-y! There you go, your Majesty, what did I tell you? Bigger on the inside," the Doctor comments.
"Indeed," she nods, "Though the door isn't. You nearly took my head off. It's normally me who does that."
She places her cheek on the Doctor as the horse gallops to a small area; it has a tent with reclining cushions near flying royal pennant dancing in the wind. The Queen was laying on the Doctor as he was on the cushions drinking.
"Tell me, Doctor, why I'm wasting my time on you. I have wars to plan," she states.
"You have a picnic to eat," he retorts.
She looks at him, "You could help me."
"Well, I'm helping you eat the picnic," he comments as he passes a grape to her which she accepts. She slightly turns, "But you have a stomach for war."
She touches his face as she continues, "This face has seen conflict, it's as clear as day."
"Oh, I've seen conflict like you wouldn't believe. But it wasn't this face," he states seriously.
"But never mind that, your Majesty," he adds as he begins to stand up, "Up on your feet. Up, up. Come on, get up."
She puts her cup down, "How dare you? I'm the Queen of England."
She stands up as the Doctor takes her hand, "I'm not English."
He goes down on one knee, "Elizabeth, will you marry me?"
She smiles, "Oh, my dear sweet love. Of course I will."
She was going to kiss him until, "Ah, gotcha!"
He stands up and Elizabeth asks shocked and confused, "My love?"
He lists, "One, the real Elizabeth would never have accepted my marriage proposal. Two, the real Elizabeth would notice when I just casually mentioned having a different face. But then the real Elizabeth isn't a shape-shifting alien from outer space. And..."
He holds out a clockwork gizmo that went Ding!
"Ding," he said triumphantly.
She looks at it, "What's that?"
He explains, "It's a machine that goes ding."
The machine goes Ding! again as he continues, "Made it myself. Lights up in the presence of shape-shifter DNA."
He extends the antenna as he shows it to her again, "Ooo. Also it can microwave frozen dinners from up to twenty feet and download comics from the future. I never know when to stop.
She replies not fully understanding what is going on, "My love, I do not understand."
He counters, "I'm not your love, and yes you do."
He leans until to her face, "You're a Zygon."
"A Zygon?" she asks confused.
He pulls back, "Oh, stop it. It's over. A Zygon, yes. Big red rubbery thing covered in suckers. Surprisingly good kisser. Think the real Queen of England would just decide to share her throne with any old handsome bloke in a tight suit (he touches his suit), just cos he's got amazing hair and a nice horse? (He turns back to the horse, but it wasn't there. No more white horse. Instead, there's the Zygon.)"
"Oh," he said as he faces the Queen.
"It was the horse. I'm going to be King," the Doctor realized his mistake as he hears the Zygon growl.
He grabs onto Elizabeth's hand, "Run!"
"What's happening?" she asks as they run.
"We're being attacked by a shape-shifting alien from outer space, formerly disguised as my horse," the Doctor states as they run into a ruined building and lean against a wall.
"What does that mean?" she asks softly.
He replies, "It means we're going to need a new horse."
She asks, "Where's it going?"
"I don't know, but I'll hold it off. And as for you," he turns to the Queen, "You run. Your people need you."
"And I need you alive for our wedding day," she states as she pulls him in for a deep kiss and then runs.
He mutters to himself, "Oh, good work, Doctor. Nice one. The Virgin Queen? So much for history. Now, gotta warn Rose."
He closes his eyes, "Just hope she's reading the psychic paper now."
After that he leaves the building in search of the Zygon.
Back to Rose at the stables...
Rose was leaning a fence playing with the paper in her hands as she sighs, "Nothing."
She stops playing with it as she hears something, "Bad Wolf... I am ready... Bad Wolf..."
She turns around and looks for the source of the voice, but finds it nowhere. She shakes her head as she accidentally drops the paper. She sees that it has dropped open and has a message on it. 'Rose, run!'
She repeats it softly, "Rose, run? Why?"
"Maybe because of me," she quickly stands up as she sees a big red rubbery thing covered in suckers standing on two feet gazing at her and she steps back.
"Wha... What are you?" she asks slightly scared.
"Going to be you soon," it replies as it tries to sing her with its venomous barbs; however, she was able to dodge the attacks.
"Hold still will you," it seethes as Rose kept dodging it, "it won't hurt, I swear."
She grabs a slab of wood and strikes hard against the creature as it falls onto the floor. She drops the wood and runs away.
'I need to find the Doctor,' Rose thought as she was running into a forested area.
"Doctor!" she yells as she runs through the trees, "Doctor, where are you!"
Meanwhile...
Elizabeth runs through the trees as she hears the faint growling grow. She runs while the Doctor tries to lure the Zygon. She hears the Zygon's footstep as she turns to see the creature and screams as it goes straight at her.
Rose hears the whispers again, "Bad Wolf... I'm ready..."
She looks again for it, but shakes her head as she tries to find the Doctor.
Rose hears the scream and mutters, "No..."
She runs towards it, "Elizabeth!"
She reaches the spot and screams, "Elizabeth, where are you? Are you okay?"
"Elizabeth!" she shouts as she looks around her.
She knows she heard footsteps as she grabs another piece of wood, "I warning you. Release Queen Elizabeth the first and no one will get hurt."
"But I like to hurt others," a voice echoes through the forest as she tries to reason, "Look. I'm traveling with the Doctor, maybe he can help you. You don't have to kill anyone, just release Elizabeth and we'll talk with the Doctor."
"Too late," the voice said behind Rose as she turns and screams.
The Doctor comes running through the woods with his gizmo is dinging a lot.
He stops near a lop-eared rabbit, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh, very clever."
He talks to a lop-eared rabbit, "Whatever you've got planned, forget it. I'm the Doctor. I'm nine hundred and four years old. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous."
He walks towards it as he continues, "I am the Oncoming Storm, the Bringer of Darkness, and you..."
He bends down to the rabbit, "are basically just a rabbit, aren't you? Okay, carry on. Just a general warning."
He looks at the machine and hits it angrily as he looks around.
"Doctor!" he hears Elizabeth screaming.
"Elizabeth!" he screams as he runs to her.
He finds her lying on the ground as she stands up, "That thing."
He helps her stand, "Explain what it is. What does it want of us?"
The Doctor comments, "That's what I'm trying to find out. Probably just your planet."
"Doctor!" he turns to find Rose, "Doctor!"
He smiles, "Rose."
"Doctor, we've a problem. A big one," she explains as she runs towards him.
"What problem?" he asks.
"That," she points as both Elizabeth and the Doctor follow until they see a second Elizabeth, a.k.a Elizabeth 2, walks up, "and that."
They turn to the other side and see another Rose, a.k.a Rose 2, walking behind them.
"Doctor, what do we do?" Rose asks as the Doctor steps back and uses the machine.
"Doctor, don't trust her," Rose 2 states.
Elizabeth turns to the Doctor, "How is this possible."
"Doctor. Step away from her, Doctor. That's not me. That's the creature," the Elizabeth 2 states accusingly.
Elizabeth shakes her head, "I don't understand, how? How is that possible? She's me. Doctor, she's me!"
Rose gulps, "And that looks exactly like me."
Both the Rose and Elizabeth walk closer to the group as the second Elizabeth states, "I am indeed me. A compliment that cannot be extended to yourself."
"Like how I'm the real Rose," the other Rose speaks.
The Doctor tries to use his gizmo while the two Roses and Elizabeths meet face to face.
"Extraordinary. The creature has captured my exact likeness. This is exceptional," Elizabeth states.
"Yeah, it's like looking in a mirror. Quite the something," Rose comments.
"Exceptional?" Elizabeth 2 is taken aback, "A Queen would call it impertinent."
"Something is right," Rose 2 states as she looks at Rose .
"A Queen would feel compelled to admire the skill of the execution, before arranging one," Elizabeth replies.
"What was that? What did you say?" Rose asks Rose 2.
The Doctor shakes the machine and crossly mutters, "Err. It's not working."
Elizabeth continues as she and her copy walk around, "One might surmise that the creature would learn quickly to protect itself from any simple means of detection."
"Like how a squid camouflages itself," Rose speaks as she walks with her duplicate in a circle too.
"Clearly," Elizabeth 2 quips, "Clearly you understand the creature better than I. But then, you have the advantage."
Rose 2 retorts, "As do you, Rose."
Rose narrows her eyes as Rose 2 glances over to the Doctor, "Look at him. So handsome, slimming and a bit sexy. Even foxy will work. You've thought so too. I know what's inside your head. You like him...a lot."
Rose tackles Rose 2 as they fight.
"Roses, stop fighting! Stop fighting this instant!" the Doctor yells at them as they continue to fight.
Rose 2 flips Rose on her back and is ready to attack when a vortex appears in the air
"What?" Rose and Rose 2 ask perplexed simultaneously as the Doctor screams, "Back, the four of you, now!"
"Why?" the two Elizabeths ask in unison.
The Doctor answers as the vortex begins to grow, "That's a time fissure. A tear in the fabric of reality. Anything could happen. Get out of there now!"
The Elizabeths run but Rose kicks off Rose 2 as she begins to run to the Doctor, but she looks back and see her copy passed out on the floor.
"Rose? What are you doing? Run," the Doctor screams as she hollers back, "I've got to help her. I'm sorry."
She goes back to the clone and helps her up.
"Hey...Hey wake up," Rose shakes as she drags the clone best she could.
Rose 2 immediately wakes up and looks at Rose as she picks her up by the throat, getting ready to kill her when she feels the vortex grabbing onto her. She drops Rose as she falls on her face. Rose tries to get up but felt something grab her leg. She turns to see it was her Doppelganger, "I won't go alone. If I go, you'll come with me!"
She tries to kick her clone off, but Rose 2 won't let go as the vortex starts to suck her in.
She grabs onto the ground, but feels herself being pulled.
"Doctor!" she screams as the Doctor grabs her forearm, "Rose, just hold on tight. Just hold onto my hand. Don't let go, no matter what."
She feels herself being levitated off the ground slowly, she looks back and sees the white vortex. She goes back to the Doctor and then to the hold; he is holding her wrist.
The Doctor strains to keep his grasp on her, "Rose, hold on! Hold on!"
Soon she is pulled vertically towards the vortex, "Doctor... I- I can't hold on."
"Rose, no. Don't do it," the Doctor speaks knowing what she'll do next, "Don't let go of me, you hear. Don't do it."
"I can't hold on anymore," she retorts as her wrist slips and their fingers are locked.
Soon neither of them could stand it and Rose's fingers finally slip from the Doctor's grasp as she flies into the vortex, disappearing into the void.
"Rose..." he speaks as he walks backwards from the vortex.
He hears something from the vortex, "Rose?"
Instead of Rose, it was a fez instead.
He walks over it and picks it up, "A fez?"
Back in the barn...
The old man left Rose alone as she looks around the abandoned barn, but she keeps looking at the box. Only that clockwork box actually had her full attention.
She hears the whispers again, "I am ready... Bad Wolf... ...to be, to be..."
She looks around as she hears it, "Bad Wolf...What am I? What am I? Where am I? Where am I?"
"Where...am I? This is not the same. Was everything before just a dream? Why?"
"Who's there?" Rose asks as she looks around, "Where are you?"
"That voice. ...Those voices. They're outside. Where I must be," the whisper states.
"Outside?" Rose mutters as she looks at the box again.
She hears it louder than before, ""I am ready... ...to be, to be... Bad Wolf..."
The golden energy surges out and flows into Rose as her eyes shone the light.
When the old man returns, he sees Rose sitting on the box.
"Don't sit on that!" he yells as he grabs her hand and makes her stand.
"Why not?" she asks as she tilts her head to the side.
"Because it's not a chair, it's the most dangerous weapon in the universe. And now, if you don't mind," he hurries her from the barn and closes the door behind her. And there she is, sitting on the box again.
"Why can't it be both?" she asks as the man looks at her and then the door.
"Didn't I... But how did you?" he asks her.
She ignores his questions, "Why did you park so far away? Didn't you want her to see it?"
"Want who to see?" he asks curiously.
"The Tardis," she states slowly.
She stands up as he asks, "How do you know of the Tardis?"
"I mean, you walked for miles, and miles and miles and miles and miles. A far distance away from her," Rose comments.
"I thought you were human," he speaks to Rose.
Once again completely ignoring his question, "I heard you."
"You heard me?" he asks sounding uncertain.
"No more. No more," she states in a deep voice which makes the War Doctor, or Warrior, reminisce of when he said it, "No more."
Rose continues as she marches around, "No more. No more. No more. No more."
The Doctor comments, "Stop it."
She quickly adds, "No more."
"Who are you exactly?" he asks as the clockwork in the box makes a noise.
He looks at it and speaks, "It's activating. Get out of here. Now, before it is too late."
He walks over to it and tries to take hold of the box, only to drop it in the process.
"Ow!" he said as he shakes his hands.
Rose asks, "What's wrong?"
"The interface is hot," the War Doctor proclaims.
"Well, I do my best," she smiles as he examines the box, "There's a power source inside."
He stops as the words finally hits him and turns to her, "You're the interface?"
She adds, "They must have told you the Moment had a conscience, right?"
She waves her hand, "Hello."
She continues, "Oh, look at you. Stuck between a girl and a box. Story of your life, eh, Doctor?"
"But... How?" he asks, "You know me?"
"I needed a suitable body and was happy that Rose Tyler here is a good match," she stated, "I needed her to help you. To communicate with you."
"Really?" he asks.
"I hear you. All of you, jangling around in that dusty old head of yours. I chose Rose especially for you. It's from your past," she said.
She turns to her side, "Or possibly your future. I always get those two mixed up."
War Doctor retorts, "I don't have a future."
"Yes you do," she insists, "Where did you think this woman came from. She was with you... She's with you Doctor."
"Quit calling me that," he counters, "I'm no Doctor."
"And I'm no Rose Tyler," she replies as she ponders off, "No. Yes. No, sorry, no, no, in this form, I'm known as..."
She turns to him and her eyes glow,"Bad Wolf. I'm called Bad Wolf. Are you afraid of the big bad wolf, Doctor?"
"Will you stop calling me that," he protests as her eyes return to normal.
"That's the name in your head," she replies.
"It shouldn't be. I've been fighting this war for a long time. I've lost the right to be the Doctor. After all that has happened and all the bloodshed from his," he explains as he looks down, "I'm no Doctor."
She retorts, "Then you're the one to save us all."
He sighs, "Yes."
She walks over to him, "If I ever develop an ego, you've got the job."
He stands up from the clockwork box, "If you have been inside my head, then you know what I've seen. The suffering. The anguish, the pain...all of it. Every moment in time and space is burning. It must end, and I intend to end it the only way I can. The only way that'll stop this."
She comments, "And you're going to use me to end it by killing them all, Daleks and Time Lords alike. I could, but there will be consequences for you."
"I don't believe this girl is with my future self," he states, "I have no desire to survive this."
She counters, "Then that's your punishment. If you do this, if you kill them all, then that's the consequence. You live. Gallifrey. You're going to burn it, and all those Daleks with it, but all those children too. How many children on Gallifrey right now?"
He sighs as he turns his head around, "I don't know."
"One day," she starts, "One day you will count them. One terrible night."
She looks over the portal, "Do you want to see what that will turn you into? Come on, aren't you curious?"
She adds, "I'm the one who opened this. I'm the one that led Rose here."
She turns to him, "I opened windows on your timeline, to your future. A tangle in time through the days to come, to the man today will make of you. And anything can happen."
They turn as they hear the portal makes a sound and she speaks, "Look."
A fez drops from the portal and she comments, "Okay, I wasn't expecting that."
Back to the gallery with 11th Doctor and company...
He sighs as he looks away from the painting.
He looks at Kate, "So...where's the Under Gallery?"
She nods her head, "This way."
She walks to the painting and opens it to reveal a dimmed hallway with sheets covering statues and dust on the floor, "Welcome to the Under Gallery. This is where Elizabeth the First kept all art deemed too dangerous for public consumption."
The lights automatically turn on as Kate, Clara and Rosemary walk completely ignoring the dust on the floor. The Doctor enters as he looks at the dust. He goes down on one knee as he examines the floor. He scoops up a handful of the sand on the floor in between two rows of statues covered with dust sheets.
"Dust," he comments as he stands and dusts his hands off, "Stone dust."
The three of them stop as Clara and Kate walk back to him while Kate asks, "Is it important?"
"In twelve hundred years I've never stepped in anything that wasn't," he explains to Kate as he stands up.
"Ha... ha..." Osgood pants as she walks over to them.
"Ma'am," she speaks to Kate, "Here's the information you wanted on that person."
She hands the report over to Kate as the Doctor walks over to them, "Who?"
"No one," Kate quickly said as she closes the file.
"Okay then," the Doctor said before turning to Osgood, "You..."
"Yes?" she asks confused.
"Now, I want this stone dust analysed," he pours it into her hand as he continues, "And I want a report in triplicate, with lots of graphs and diagrams and complicated sums on my desk, tomorrow morning, ASAP, pronto, L O L," he smiles as he face Clara, "See? Job. I'm doing it."
She shakes her head, "No."
"Do I have a desk? he asks as he snaps his fingers at Kate.
"No," she replies as she crosses her arms.
The Doctor turns to Osgood, "And I want a desk."
Kate commands, "Get a team. Analyse the stone dust. And bring that report when its finished."
They leave as she starts to wheeze again.
Kate yells as she looks over her shoulder, "Inhaler!"
Osgood nods as she uses it.
They continue to walk further into the under gallery, as they pass some displayed items; swords, cannons, etc. The Doctor spots the red fez in a display case.
"Ooh," he marvels at it, "one of Einstein's old Fezs."
He mutters as he looks around, "I just got to get it. Since, every single hat I get always somehow gets destroyed in the process."
He walks over to it, takes it out and puts it on as Rosemary and Kate continue to walk.
Clara looks at him and comments, "Someday, you could just walk past a fez."
He snaps his fingers, "Never gonna happen. Besides, fezs are cool."
She rolls her eyes as they walk into another room with broken glass on the floor and alien 'paintings' along the wall.
A scientist talks to Kate, "Ma'am. Just as you instructed, nothing has been touched. Nothing has been moved."
"Thanks," she said as the scientist nods and walks away.
All four of them look at the paintings as Kate speaks, "This is why we called you in."
"They're all 3D again," Clara speaks, "like the other painting back there."
The Doctor looks down and then back to the painting, "Interesting."
"What?" Rosemary asks as she looks down, "The broken glass?"
"No," the Doctor states, "Not just that, where it's broken from."
He walks over and picks a piece up, "Look at the shatter pattern. The glass on all these paintings has been broken from the inside."
He turns to them as he tosses the piece as Kate explains, "As you can see, all the paintings are landscapes. No figures of any kind."
The Doctor walks over to her, "So?"
"There used to be," she speaks as she hands him a pad with the original image on it.
He compares the two with Rosemary and Clara at his side.
He turns to Clara as she voices her conclusion, "Something's got out the paintings."
"No," the Doctor comments seriously, "not just something. Lots of somethings."
The Doctor and Clara both look back at the empty painting as he adds, "Dangerous somethings."
Kate explains confused, "This whole place has been searched. There's nothing here that shouldn't be, and nothing's got out."
The Doctor turns to her, "Do you think so?"
Kate turns to him, "Absolutely. We double checked everything."
He replies, "It's like a puzzle... Sometimes they led you astray from the answer. But..."
He looks at the paintings again, "If you look at them from another angle, you might be able to find something that will lead you to the right answer."
"Now...Speaking of puzzles," he turns to Kate, "What is in your hand? What report about who?"
She sighs, "Last month we had someone hacked into the system."
"Really?" Clara asks.
"Yes..." Kate nods, "the person didn't take anything though."
"But then..." Rosemary was going to ask, but Kate interjects, "Nothing was taken. In fact, the hacker left us something in the coding."
"What?" the Doctor asks.
She hands him the file as she explains, "The numbers, 071706, 14755, 7151214."
"Anything special about it?" Clara asks.
"That's the thing," Kate answers, "we looked in countless data banks on that number and tried every permutation and combination of those numbers. Nothing."
He looks at the numbers and states, "What if these numbers aren't numbers, but meant to represent letters.
"What do you mean?" Kate asks.
"Each number represents a letter, right. So if 1 is a, then 2 is b and 3 is c and so on and so forth. Right?" the Doctor explains as she realizes, "the message was jumbled purposely left to get our attention or more likely... Your attention."
"So...what do they mean?" Rosemary asks.
"Gene," the Doctor states, "...Gene Galen."
"What?" Clara is taken aback, "What do you mean by that?"
The Doctor informs, "If you rearrange the numbers from 14755 and 7151214, they spell out Gene Galen."
He turns to Kate, "Was your hacker a woman?"
"Actually..." she ponders for a moment, "Yeah, I think she was. We tried to apprehend her, but she slipped out of our grasp."
"It's like," Kate begins but Clara finishes, "she disappeared out of thin air."
"Yeah," she turns to Clara, "How'd you know what I was going to say?"
"I saw her. I chased her down and she just vanished," Clara explains.
"But where does the..." Clara speaks as she reads the number, "071706 come into this?"
"I don't know," the Doctor states, "but it seems someone wants me to notice Gene Galen."
He turns around, "But I don't have time for that now. I've to first figure out what is going on here and nothing is going to stop me."
A portal, a.k.a time fissure, opens in the room as the Doctor turns to see it and rants, "Oh no, not now."
Clara looks at it, "Doctor, what is it?"
The Doctor complains, "No, not now. I'm busy at the moment."
He slower walks over to it as Kate asks, "Is it to do with the paintings?"
"No, no," he objects, "This is different."
He continues, "I remember this. Almost remember...sorta...kinda."
He looks at his fez, takes it off and looks between the fez and the portal.
"Oh, of course. This is where I come in," he turns to Clara and smiles as he throws the fez into the fissure.
He runs to the fissure while screaming, "Geronimo!"
He leaps into it himself as Clara shouts, "Doctor!"
Rosemary and Kate hold her back as Kate speaks, "Wait!"
