Tikki's Daughter

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy and I'm also working on multiple other stories that should be posted soon. Also please do not expect this story to be updated quickly or often, as it is not one of the main stories I'm currently writing and I want to give most of my attention to those. Hope you enjoy, Bug Out :)

I sighed as I peered through the peaking hole Mari had added to her purse. I felt so bored and lonely now that I couldn't play with Plagg joring school hours after us being spotted by that science teacher. We had always chatted or played together while our holders did their odd ritual of going to school. I saw Plagg's head pop out of the hole he had nibbled in his holder's bag, he waved to me with a cheeky grin and I silently waved back. His holder shifted and Plagg fell backwards away from his window. I moved away from mine when he didn't reappear. I so badly wish that I had another little kwami friend. A child Kwami to mentor and train and support, then at the end of the day we could play together, like my holder, Marinette and her parents did. I sighed dreamily, not noticing the sudden movement as Mari left the classroom and headed home.

"Hey Tikki," Mari smiled at me as she held out a macaron, I happily accepted it and flew out of the bag into her hands. She held out a new dress she had made for me and I pulled it on.

"Well what do you think?" She asked as she tilted her head, trying to see it from different angles.

"It's amazing," I grinned as I hugged her cheek. A knock on her trapdoor interrupted my happy twirls in front of the mirror as Tom announced supper was ready. Mari hugged him as he opened the trapdoor and he dragged her down the stairs.

I sat on her bed as I once again dreamt of the kwami child. Finally I decided to try and create a new kwami by myself as there was no telling how long it would take for something big enough to happen to naturally create one. I drew up my confidence and started using my power of creation, I waved my arms and twirled with the basic image of a kwami in mind. I then gathered my powers into a round pendant that lay on Mari's desk and smiled as it changed to a pinky red color. I lowered my arms and chanted a final line in ancient chinese and begged that my made up spell worked. I floated over to the pendant and picked it up, with a gentle rub it released a ball of light, bigger than any kwami I knew. The magical orb landed and transformed into a girl that looked around the age of 2 or 3. My mouth dropped open and I gaped at the sight in front of me.

She had pinky orange skin that seemed to glisen or sparkle with magic. Her hair was a bright reddish pink and was cut around chin length in a cute style with a little curl in the middle of her forehead. Red tipped black intenei peaked out of her hair. Piercing blue eyes stared at me contently as she fiddled with her simple, pale, pinky-purplish-red dress. She seemed to be part human and part Kwami though I had no real idea of what happened.

"Mamma?" She grinned.

"Umm, ah, ga" I stuttered.

"Mamma!" She cheered. I grinned at her expression and flew over to her.

"Yes dear I am your Mamma," I smiled, trying to sound confident. Suddenly I heard footsteps heading towards the room and embarrassed I decided to keep the child a secret. "Darling follow me, Mamma, ok," I pleaded. She wobbly stode up and tottled over to me. I led her to the room Mari had made for me in her closet and handed the girl a few toys that Mari had for when she babysat Manon. "Just stay quiet please," I requested and she sat down to play with the Ladybug doll. I huffed a sigh of relief as I closed my house's door almost fully just before Mari walked into the room to do her homework. Luckily Mari didn't seem to notice my silence or off-mindedness for the rest of the evening and went to bed with a quick night. I layed down above my child but barely slept, not knowing what to do.
