H626 reluctantly loaded himself into his ship and left the Velvet Glove to join the rest of his brothers to attack and invade a planet colonized by a race of people called the First Ones. The clone would be fighting on the front lines, which he knew was an automated death sentence. For just one moment H626 considered deserting the Horde and starting a new life somewhere else, but he knew that wasn't possible. H626 had too much loyalty to the Horde to ever flee from it and Prime could easily track him down and take control of his body. Fleeing was not an option. H626 just simply have to survive the battle and prove his value and worth to Prime and win back his favor. The ships entered the planet's atmosphere and the planetary defense system began to fire at them. H626 gripped his controls tightly as his ship was bombarded with laser fire as he got closer to the planet's surface.
Down below on the planet, a team of scientists were in a lab working on a machine that would create a special portal. The scientists were descendants of a rebel group called Greyskull. A thousand years ago the original members of Greyskull had worked with a great warrior named Mara to keep a powerful weapon out of the First Ones hands. The weapon was an entire planet rich with abundant amounts of magic called Etheria. The First Ones had used their technology to create a device called the Heart of Etheria to control the magic and use it as a weapon. Mara and the people of Greyskull saw how dangerous the weapon was and they used a portal to send Etheria to a dimension called Despondos to prevent it from being used. It had cost Mara her life. Now the descendants of Greyskull were planning to open a portal to get to Etheria, so they could figure out how to to use the Heart of Etheria to stop the Horde or use it to release magic into the universe and give people all across the universe a chance to fight against the Horde. As the scientists were starting their machine up a shot down Horde ship crashed into the lab and caused the portal machine to go haywire and instead of opening a portal in the lab it shot a portal up into the air above the colony.
H626's ship had taken heavy fire and was now plummeting to the ground below. The clone gritted his teeth as he desperately fought with the controls as the ground raced up towards him. It appeared this was where he was going to meet his end. H626 braced himself for the end, but fate had something else in mind for him. A portal suddenly opened right up in front of H626's ship. H626's eyes went wide in shock as his ship went through the portal and it vanished. The portal then vanished a few seconds later.
Aboard the Velvet Glove, Horde Prime sat on his throne with a small look of confusion on his face as he lost his connection with H626. Prime knew the clone wasn't dead, but he the connection was gone. It was like H626 had simply vanished from the universe.
To be continued.
