The Way We Feel

A/N: I got this idea when I was listening to a song, it's written in Filipino but the feels it gives just made me write this one. Ehehehe.

"Oi…Satsuki!" Aomine called out, he's in front of his childhood friend's house's door for more than five minutes already. "Well, It doesn't matter if we're late anyway." He mutters lightly kicking a pebble in front of him.

"What do you mean it doesn't matter if we're late!?" Aomine almost tripped when the gate flung open and Momoi came out, hands on her hips. "This guy… I purposefully told you an earlier time so we won't be late."

"What the hell? My dream about Yoko-chan was disrupted by my mom's loud knock, you know?" Aomine said glancing at Momoi, he stopped walking and waits for her to catch up to him. "You're the one who suggested weekend extra practice, right?"

"You said extra training's nice. You're in this too, Dai-chan."

"Tch. Fine." Aomine sighs and rubs the back of his neck. His eyes were on the road ahead until something yellow caught his attention. Due to his fast reflex, he immediately caught it without even knowing what it is and due to his force he crumpled the object at hand.

"What's that, Dai-chan?" Momoi takes a peek too as Aomine checks. It was a yellow paper cut in a talisman like size. Something red was written on it and he stretches it out. "What is that?" Momoi traces the paper with her fingers but Aomine grabs her hand and pulls it away from the paper.

"Don't just touch things like this. It could've been cursed." He said before turning his back on her while still scrutinizing the paper. "I don't understand what's written though."

"Let me see it then." Momoi tiptoed and kept on pulling her friend's shirt but Aomine wouldn't budge.

"You young'uns!" suddenly something was thrown at their way and Aomine was quick enough to pull Momoi. It was a very old woman running towards them. "Give me back my talisman!"

"Oh my! The paper's really a talisman." Momoi said while she peeks behind Aomine.

"Mother! Mother! What are you…" A middle aged lady wearing black traditional japanese clothes went out to follow the old lady. She was quick to catch her mother and she apologized repeatedly to the two. "I'm sorry, really sorry."

"Ohhh that's Mr. Sawada's house." Momoi realized that they were in front of the house of someone who recently had a deceased family member.

"That talisman… I need that to see your father." The old lady said pointing at Aomine, he walks over and gives it back but the old lady just cried. "I got that from that shaman."

"Mother…what did I just say about that? I told you father's in heaven already, alright?" with a mouthed apology and a bow, the lady guided her mother back to the house.

"That's sad… I heard the Sawadas really had a good relationship." Momoi said but Aomine stopped walking and was staring at his hands. "Oi, Dai-chan?"

"The… thing I just… Can it really make you see dead people?" he stares at her with mortified eyes.

"Argh. You seriously believed that! Aho-mine." Momoi grabs his arm and yanked him to follow her. "Let's go, Wakamatsu-senpai will be angry if we're late."

After that game with Seirin and the Jabberwock, Aomine's a lot more attentive during practice, he gets along with the team's captain and the other regular members now. Momoi noticed that he's even sharing some of his weird collection to Wakamatsu-senpai, they'll bring Sakurai too but he's always embarrassed about something.

The pink haired manager was checking out something on her charts until she sees the team coach come inside the court.

"Harasawa-sensei." She greets. It's weekend, I wonder why sensei's late…

"Oh, Momoi-chan. How's the team?" He asked before sitting on his usual bench. Wakamatsu called the team and they greeted the coach before getting back on practice.

"They're doing the regimen strictly. They've improved based from my previous analysis." Momoi answered handing her clipboard.

"Okay." He answered as he checked the papers, not before he fidgets with a strand of his hair.

The coach is really handsome... Momoi thought before she glanced back at the team. She was watching the new members shoot and her eyes passed by her friend and saw him slacking at the edge of the court, his back was turned to them and he was squatting on the floor, probably engrossed with those stupid magazines again. "That idiot." She walks over to him and kicked his back.

"Owww! What was that for, Satsuki!?" Aomine said standing up and immediately hiding the magazine behind him.

"You!" she points a finger at him. "You're in the middle of practice! Put that back to where it belongs!"

"Geez. Alright." Aomine grumbles but he follows her command and brings back the magazine to the locker room.

The power forward opened his locker and placed the magazine inside. He held on to the metal before closing and stared at the magazine's cover model. "Yoko-chan's so cute, it's a shame to lock her up here." Aomine sighed.

"I agree… She is cute."

"Right." Aomine agreed, and then he realized... Did a girl just talk to me? He sweat dropped. It's just my imagination…I think I'm hearing Yoko-chan…

"I wonder if Kacchan reads magazines like that." The girl spoke again.

Buckets of sweat are dropping from Aomine. There's really someone beside him, he can see it from the edge of his eye. There's no one here, no one, no one… Slowly, he looks beside and then… "What the fuck?!"

"Huh? You can see me?" There was a girl beside him and the blue haired boy gulped as he stared. She was pretty, her hair was ash blonde and straight reaching up to her chest. She's wearing the Touou uniform.

She's just a normal girl… He breathes out.

"Hi! My name is Kaito Reo." She offered her hand coupled with a very bright smile. "What's your name?"

"Aomine – " He gulped…when he was about to shake hands with her, his hand just passed through hers, and when he tries to grasp it again, her hand just disappears.

"Oh…Yeah…I forgot, I can't shake hands anymore." She sheepishly scratched the back of her head.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

A/N: The coach from Touou is really good looking, It was surprising when I found out he's 42 and he is single. He's even older than Riko's dad who's 38 years old. Anyway...This'll be funnier I hope. R/R.
