Chapter 10 Empire

In the months that followed Hordak's Horde grew in size and numbers. Hordak used his scientific knowledge to create weapons and hovercrafts for his troops and with his military knowledge and tactical skills the Horde started taking vast amounts of territory in the Fright Zone. The elderly king and the royal family weren't too happy about this sudden uprising and gathered up their own forces to go against the Horde. Civil War broke out between the Horde and the forces of the royal family. The fighting lasted for quit some time and though the royal family and their forces were strong they simply could not beat the technology and military might of the Horde. The Horde kept pushing through the Fright Zone, until they reached the palace known as Horror Hall. The king and his forces made one last desperate stand against the Horde and lost. The king was forced to sit down with Hordak and discuss the terms of the royal family's surrender.
"I give my kingdom and my family's Runestone, the Black Garnet. In return my family will be allowed to continue living in the Fright Zone. I promise to serve you along with my children and grandchildren." Said the king.
"I agree to your surrender and if you and your family loyal serve the Horde, they will be treated well and rise through the ranks of the Horde. Your family will also be allowed to keep their royal titles, though those won't have much power in the Horde." Said Hordak.
"Very well." Said the king.
The Fright Zone was now completely under Hordak's control. For the next year Hordak used what was left of his ship along with vast amounts of gathered metal to construct a massive base of operations and build several new metal buildings around the Fright Zone. The Fright Zone became a place of metal and machinery. Hordak stood on a balcony overlooking the Fright Zone. He had created a empire in the little over a year. Though it was impressive Hordak was not satisfied. He still needed to conquer the rest of Etheria and build a portal machine to contact Horde Prime. Both of those would take a great amount of time and effort. Hordak was a bit unsure about his health and finding the resources he needed on Etheria, but he refused to simply give up. He had come too far to simply let things end. Hordak would conquer Etheria and prove his worth to Prime.
"You will be mine Etheria." Vowed Hordak to himself as he headed into his lab to plan his next conquest.
The Horde began to mobilize and head out striking at various territories and spreading fear about itself and Hordak. Soon everyone on Etheria knew about Hordak and the Horde.
