Chapter 4

Beca sat and worked in her recording studio in New York for the whole day. Jesse had set a meeting with Justin Bieber around 4 in the afternoon, and Beca was very excited to start this. She was not a "Beliber" but she was a fan, the thought of working with him made her enthusiastic about all the whole project. She was so caught up in everything that she didn't notice someone walking into the room. That was until said person threw herself onto Beca and wrapped around her like a Kola bear.

"Shorty! I've missed you so fucking much!"

"Geez Stace I've missed you to" Beca chuckle wrapping her arms around Stacie.

"I was so bored with out you" Stacie said in a whinny voice. Stacie had spent 8 days in Miami for a photo shoot. During the girl's senior year a modeling agency approached Stacie and offered her a contract with a nice looking signing bonus which she agreed too. But she still graduated with a degree in science and is currently working on her masters. Brains and beauty everyone.

"Yeah well I've missed your entertainment as well" Beca said laughing.

"So are the articles true, you know about JB, Demi and Halsey." Stacie asked looking Beca in the face.

"Yup, actually meeting Justin at 4 today."

"Holy shit this is exciting. Plus your gonna be working with Halsey!? That's insane." Stacie said beaming.

"I know dude. Talk about dream collaboration right there."

"Becs, it's almost 12. Do you wanna grab some lunch?" Jessie asked while looking at his phone "Oh hey Stace. Wow pretty sure your the only one that can be that touchy with Beca." Jessie said laughing

"Well what can I say, I'm irresistible." Stacie said smirking and winking.

"No your tits are just comfortable" Beca said while resting her head on Stacie's boob.

"Wow ok. You know what just for that." Stacie said before pushing Beca's head off and standing up.

"You know I'm kidding Stace." Looking towards Jesse "Taco bell sounds amazing please."

"Sure thing Becs" Jesse said before turning towards Stacie "Stacie?"

"No thanks I literally just ate" Hearing this Jesse walked out.

Stacie pulled up a chair next to Beca to see what the small producer was working on.

"I'm finishing my song for Justin. He'll be coming over soon, It's taking so much outta me." Beca remarked. Stacie placing her hand on Beca's back, started reading some of the words.

Stacie knew that Beca was writing a song about Chloe. Beca has produced a lot songs already but she never admitted they were about a certain red head. Nobody dared to bring it up, they just knew. And with how Beca's feeling lately, Stacie won't be surprised if JB's next hit was meant for Chloe. She just didn't know the message that Beca wanted to pass this time. Stacie hoped that the song would help her move on.

Beca was able to finish the demo before Justin and his team arrived. She quadruple checked everything to make sure it was to her standards. She didn't let anyone, not even Stacie listen to it. She ended up very satisfy with everything and knew this song perfectly described how she was feeling.

"Well how you doing there Beca? Ready for this?" Justin said walking up to her and hugging her.

"I'm good Justin, you? And of course I'm ready." Beca was confident as can be. She knew Justin would love this demo.

Beca's team gathered with Justin's team in the booth. Everyone was waiting for Beca to hit play, this was going to huge. See it was going to be her debut in writing songs for an artist, and everyone was excited about it. Everyone from her team had complete trust that she was going to nail it.

As soon as Beca hit play. The booth was silent. Beca was nervous, she was looking at all the people in the booth with her. Once Beca's music hit the room, everyone started bobbing there heads and moving along with the beat. Everything was going perfect.

"Alright cut it. Cut it" Justin said about 1 minute in. Beca was a bit nervous at this.

"Hey what gives. That song was really amazing." Amy said while walking over to Justin. Who immediately started laughing "I know. I don't need to hear anymore to know this is going to be a hit. She had me at the first verse. I'm in." Justin said facing Beca.

"Seriously? Alright! Thank you so much Justin. I appreciate it." Beca hugged him out of excitement.

"Yo, short stack. You don't hug!" Amy was happy for Beca. She looked at Benji, Jesse, CR and Stacie. All of them nodded right back. They knew Beca's changed for the better.

Justin wanted to record the song immediately. He was thrilled to do it that same day. It was obvious that he loved the song so much. The song was set to be having a preview anytime within the week. Justin wanted it to be as soon as possible because it was a gift for his fans for supporting him through everything he had been going through. Justin and Beca worked in the studio for the whole night. Both were as excited and knew it was going to be an instant hit, they just felt it.

Everyone was watching the two work and be in there element "Beca did good right?" Benji spoke.

"Yeah she did. She's been good for a while now." Amy smiled.

"She outdid her self on this one. I'll handle the publicity when it's all set." CR mentioned.

"I'm proud of her, she really went in on this one. Makes me excited to see what else she's got." Jesse said with a smirk.

"Guys did you catch the lyrics? I saw them earlier when she was working on it but couldn't really understand. But now after hearing it, it's obviously for Chloe but it's different. I think she's ready to move on and let go. Accept that everything's in the past." Stacie stated. Everyone nodded along knowing she was right.

The song was finished and edited shortly after midnight and was set to be released right after lunch. Justin's team obviously had major connections to different radio stations that would play the song. Beca was excited to hear it hit the air waves. She wanted one certain special somebody to tune in when it gets played for the first time. So with that she immediately dialed up Aubrey.

"What do you want midget?" Aubrey was annoyed Beca called during brunch with Chloe.

"Awww Bree Bree don't be so mean." Beca said in a pouty voice.

"I'm sorry Bec Bec." Aubrey said apologetically deciding to play along. Hearing this interaction Chloe just raised her eyebrows.

"I have news!" Beca said happily.

"Alright hit me with it"

"So I wrote a song for Justin, you remember right? I sent you all the paper work that you enjoy."

"Of course I remember, all the paper work checked out. Why?"

"Well he dropped by earlier then expected and he wanted to do to finish the song immediately for the fans..."

"And? Come on hobbit continue. I'm waiting."

"I finished it Bree! We did it. Recorded it and edited it and all. It's going to be out today after lunch alright. So tune in where ever you are ok? Promise?" Beca asked pleadingly

"Woah. Becs that was fast. You really went in huh?" Aubrey was extremely proud, of course she most likely wouldn't tell Beca but she was proud nonetheless. But Beca knew this.

"Yes I did Posen. So please tune in for me? And call me to let me know what you think?" Once again Beca pleaded.

"I promise little one." Aubrey looked directly at Chloe when she said those words. She knew the guilt that would hit her friend and how it would break her.

"Everything ok?" Chloe asked curiously.

Aubrey knew there was no point in hiding it "The hobbit called to let me know the song she made for Justin is going to be played later. She just wanted to make sure I'd tune and witness a special moment for her." Aubrey realized what she had said after the hurt look on Chloe's face.

"I remember when she'd ask me that. She wants all the special people in her life to witness all the special milestones she accomplishes in her life. I know I'm not apart of that anymore." Chloe said looking down.

Aubrey didn't know say at this point because Chloe was right. Because of Chloe's choices, Beca had put up her walls so high again that only certain people could break through them. And right now, Chloe was not one of them. Right now it was only Beca's team and the Bellas, excluding Chloe.
