It had been a year since the final defeat of Eggman and the Eggman Empire, while there were still threats out there the Freedom Fighters of New Mobotropolis felt that they could live a little bit easier now. Especially for their big hero and protector Sonic the Hedgehog, for the time being he wanted to take it easy and had grown closer to his now de-roboticized ex-girlfriend Princess Sally Acorn and their friend Mina Mongoose who had both patched things up with eachother.
Sally had been wondering about trying to restart their relationship and Mina who had broken up with Ash had admitted to Sonic that she still had her feelings for him. This put Sonic in a bind as he had been growing feelings for Mina along with his still there feelings for Sally. He had brought it up to them and it was kind of awkward for a little while as they discussed it. Sally and Mina actually came to them and they were talking and if he was happy with then they could try him dating them both.
Sonic was stunned but after some consideration, they had decided to go through with it together. Knowing how their last relationship ended; Sonic promised to go easy on the adventuring and Sally not happy about the slap or words that ended things told Sonic that she would accept that Sonic really was a hero at heart even she would make sure that he not try everything himself.
Their friends and family were surprised but happy for them; King Elias who had regained his crown from Naugus had wished them the best. He would be King until Sally was old enough for the crown and he would relinquish the crown to her. Now it was decided that Sonic would be her King and Mina his consort.
This stunned Sonic but Sally laughed saying that they weren't ready to discuss marriage just yet (intentionally ignoring that Antoine and Bunnie were married with them about their age) but everyone knew it was only a matter of time.
Sonic and Sally were sitting down watching a rehearsal of Mina and her band the Forget-Me-Knots with Sonic especially smiling at the singing of one of his girlfriends. They were clapping vigorously once the rehearsal was done and Mina went to greet them. "So what do you think your majesties?" Mina asked with a bow that was more for formality than anything else.
Sally was amused by the gesture as Sonic embraced her talking about how incredible she was before they kissed. Sally smiled at their display before giving her own compliments to Mina when they let go. "You think my band's fame will explode all over Mobius once I become the King's consort?" Mina asked jokingly with Sonic jumping and Sally laughing at his reaction. Messing with their blue blur hedgehog was never going to be boring.
