Anyways, Enjoy!

Chapter ~ Showdown in the Hall of Origins

(Dialga Battle Theme)

Abel and Minun faced Dialga, the mighty legendary staring them down, awaiting a move. Grasping his pokeball, Abel reared his arm back, launching it towards Dialga.

"It's showtime, Sceptile!" In a flurry of energy, Sceptile formed from his pokeball, staring down Dialga. Neither pokemon showing an inch of fear. Abel threw his arm's forward, initiating an attack.

"Impress him with your speed, use Dual Chop!" Abel called out. Sceptile reached for the scarf wrapped around his neck, tightening it. With a grin, Sceptile sped towards Dialga, both his arms glowing with draconic energy.

Dialga roared out, a sphere of fire forming in his mouth. With one last roar, Dialga began to launch a repeated assault of Fire Blasts at Sceptile. Using his increased speed to his advantage, Sceptile nimbly dodged the repeated assault, using an array of acrobatic skills to dodge the super effective attacks.

With one last hop, Sceptile leaped into the air, striking Dialga across the face twice in a row. Trying to increase the damage, Sceptile flipped himself around, projecting himself off of Dialga's head with his feet to escape close range combat.

Abel threw his hands into the air, celebrating with Minun. "That's the way!" He praised. Sceptile smirked at said praise, before he got a good look at Dialga. Both pokemon and trainer flinched in surprise as the mighty pokemon appeared to not even be scratched.

"Is that the best you have?!" Dialga roared in rage, before blasting another Fire Blast at Sceptile. Thinking quick, Sceptile managed to dodge the attack, much to Abel's relief.

"Fine, let's keep up the pressure, Sceptile! Wear him down!" Abel decided. With a glare, Sceptile shot towards Dialga once more, putting all his energy moving at his maximum speed.

With repeated succession, Sceptile began to chop at Dialga's legs, trying to bring the monster down to it's knees. Dialga grunted in annoyance at these actions, however he was beginning to feel the attacks.

"I grow tired of this strategy, allow me to show you a real Dragon type attack!" Dialga roared out. Abel's eyes widened, as Dialga's signature Roar of Time began to form in the sky.

"Sceptile, get out of there!" Abel cried out. Sceptile glanced into the air, and quickly began to panic. Once again trying to take advantage of his superior speed, he launched himself away from the attack.

"There is no escape!" Dialga declared letting the attack fall to the ground. In a blast of energy, the attack began expanding the second it touched the ground. Abel held out his arms to brace for impact, with Minun quickly fleeing into his pokeball.

Despite Sceptile's increased speed, he could not outpace the powerful Time attack, feeling it pierce his back. Sceptile could no longer move as the attack engulfed him, feeling his body, and all things inside, temporarily stop moving. As soon as the attack ended, Sceptile fell to the ground, knocked clear out in only a single attack.

Abel lifted his arms in shock. He immediately took off towards Sceptile, holding the Hoenn pokemon up with his arms.

"Sceptile, speak to me!" Abel cried out. Despite his cries, Sceptile didn't move.

Abel threw his head to his pokemon's chest, relief instantly sweeping through him when he felt a heart beat.

Abel pulled out his pokeball, smiling at the Gecko pokemon. "Rest well bud." He declared, returning Sceptile into his pokeball. He stood up, staring down Dialga. Excitement fueled his body as he then pulled out Tyrantrum's pokeball.

This was going to be intense.

X.x.X

Omni's fist connected with the cold walls of the hospital room, in a rage induced fit. From the opposite side of the room, Iris watched with a slight tinge of fear. In Omni's chaos, she had grasped Abel's hand.

Omni stood still, his fist still pressed against the wall, as if the wall refused to let go. His eyes were closed, tears streaming down his face.

The door burst open, with Ash and everyone else rushing in. "What's going on?!" Ash called out, worried for the four that they had currently been giving privacy.

Slowly, Omni's head turned towards the group, his eyes focusing on Ash specifically.

"You.." Omni slowly muttered, before he rushed Ash.

Thinking quick, Ash threw up his hands, infusing them with aura as he caught Omni's hands, which were aimed at Ash's neck.

"This is your fault!" Omni cried out in rage, tears flowing from his face.

Ash could only look at him in horror. The thought of Abel and Minun being here, it had never once occurred to Ash that it might be his fault.

"If I had never invited you here, or into this tournament, then my Son wouldn't be dying in front of me!" Omni accused, trying desperately to free himself from Ash's grasp.

Finally getting their act together, Clemont and Caleb rushed forward, grabbing a hold of Omni's arms, trying to hold him back. In their doing so, Ash released his grip with aura.

Unfortunately for the three, their strength alone was not enough to hold back a man who had once been a high ranking officer in the military. Omni quickly released himself from Clemont and Caleb, once again throwing his hands at Ash, giving the young adult no time to act.

Before Omni's hand could connect with Ash's neck, they were stopped by Iris, who jumped in-between the two, with her hands held out.

"Professor Omni, please stop this!" She cried out. Omni stood still once again, the tears not stopping.

Iris continued her plead. "This was not Ash's fault. It couldn't have been! Surely, you recognize this?!"

Omni didn't budge. "If they weren't here, then Oak would have left him be, he would not have come after my boy!" The professor claimed.

Iris stood her ground. "Maybe, but maybe not as well. Oak is conniving, and a Seviper. If Ash hadn't come back, Oak was planning on planting his own people inside the league, all the way up to the champion! He tried to do the same thing in Alola!" She explained. Omni froze at this statement.

Seeing a chance, Iris continued. "Back when Alola was forming it's own league, Oak tried to plant his own people into the league, including that of the Elite Four and the Champion, and he tried to get Kukui on his side. The only difference between now and then is that Kukui had nothing for Oak to hold over him, so Oak had to rely on the brute strength of his trainers. Had Ash not come along, Oak would have tried to use Abel as a bargaining tool, just as he would have with Ash.

"And besides, do you think Abel would want you to act this way?" She asked. Those words hit Omni like a ton of bricks, and suddenly, he let his arms slink down, falling to the floor, sobbing.

Iris knelt down, wrapping an arm around the Genzu professor, consoling him.

Everyone else sat in silence, in awe of the moment they had all witnessed. All except Ash, who now had a lot more to think about.

X.x.X

Tyrantrum fell to his knees, gasping for air as he looked up towards Dialga. Unlike Sceptile, Tyrantrum had managed to take the Roar of Time, albeit barely, and now had probably one good move in him before falling.

Abel and Minun, who had since exited his pokeball, faced down the mighty legendary, planning their next move.

'Should I go fora Head Smash to deal maximum damage, or maybe an Outrage for a super effective strike?' Abel pondered. He looked at Tyrantrum, seeing his friend in pain.

'Then again, if I go for another move, so will Dialga, and I don't want Tyrantrum to take another Roar of Time.. that might do him in for good..' Abel thought with worry. He turned his head towards Minun, who nodded at him, as if reading his thoughts.

Abel slowly grabbed Tyrantrum's pokeball, zapping the mighty dinosaur away. "Rest well my friend. I can't risk you taking another Roar of Time." He spoke into the pokeball, smiling gently.

With one swift motion, Abel launched Talonflame's pokeball into the air, releasing the Fire Flying type from it's pokeball, and letting it fly freely through the Hall of Origins.

"Flame Charge, Talonflame!" Abel cried out, once again trying to use speed to his advantage. Enshrouding itself in fire, Talonflame shot towards Dialga, who in turn launched a Dragonpulse.

As she shot towards towards Dialga, she maneuvered around the dragon attack, swerving around it in a circular pattern, before smashing into Dialga.

"Now, Flare Blitz!" Abel called out again. Talonflame let out a battle cry, enshrouding herself in a massive ball of fire. Using the newfound speed from Flare Blitz, she smashed headfirst Dialga's chest, managing to push the legendary back a few feet.

Growling in agitation, Dialga reared back it's head, before firing off another Dragonpulse, this time locked onto Talonflame.

Once she noticed that the attack was following her movements, Talonflame took a sudden curve, shooting towards Dialga. When she was right in front of the beast, she dived down towards the ground, not giving Dialga's attack time to maneuver, crashing right into Dialga.

Dialga roared out in pain after taking it's own monstrous attack to the face.

As Abel watched the events before him unfold, a switch in his head clicked. "That's it!"

Unfortunately his idea would have to wait, as Dialga was now enraged by the bird in front of him. He roared out his own battle cry, forming another Roar of Time. This time, the attack was condensed and linear, like that of a Hyper Beam. He launched the attack at Talonflame at a devastating speed, shooting her out of the air.

"Talonflame!" Abel cried out, rushing towards Talonflame as she fell out of the sky. Taking a dive, he managed to catch her before she hit the ground, once again putting his head where her heart was located. He took another sigh of relief once he felt beating, returning the Fire Flying type.

Dialga roared out, taunting Abel. "Is this the best you all have?! I expected better!"

Abel stood up, glaring at Dialga. "Don't you dare disgrace them with your harsh words!" Abel looked at Minun, who looked back at him. The brothers nodded, with Minun hopping off his shoulder, and onto the ground.

Abel grinned cockily. "Besides, thanks to them, now I know how to beat you!" Abel declared, pointing at his opponent.

Dialga merely scoffed. "If that's true, then show me!" Once more, the beast roared, filling the Hall of Origin with his battle cry.

(Iris Champion Theme)

Abel held out his hands with a toothy grin. "Let's end this quick in honor of our friends! Use Thunderbolt on the floor!" Abel exclaimed.

Minun grinned, his cheeks sparking with electricity, before he began to blast the floor. As Minun hit the floor over and over, electric energy began to slowly take over, creating a floor of electricity.

Dialga shook his head, jumping into the air, and floating. Seeing a chance to attack, Dialga began blasting wave after wave of Dragonpulses at Minun, each at his fastest speed possible.

In order to dodge the fast paced attacks, Minun covered himself in a Wild Charge, and began zipping around the electric-coated floors. Using the added electricity, Minun was able to zip around at a much faster rate, allowing him to dodge all of Dialga's deadly attacks.

Dialga roared in annoyance, before blasting one of his homing attacks.

Abel grinned, "Bingo! Now, into the air!" Abel yelled out.

Pressing his feet against the floor, Minun took a massive leap into the air, using the Wild Charge, which had also grown in power from absorbing the electric floors, as extra momentum. Using the last of his power, he landed on top of Dialga, not only striking them with the Wild Charge, but clinging on until the Dragon Pulse was able to curve back and strike Minun.

Just before the powerful attack could strike, Minun leapt back into the air, letting the attack strike Dialga right in the back.

As soon as the attack struck him, Dialga roared in pain, feeling himself be pushed onto the ground, where the electricity then proceeded to zap him for small amounts of damage.

With Minun still in the air, Abel saw one last opening to strike Dialga.

"Now, Minun, give him your strongest Wild Charge!" Abel cried out.

Still in the air, Minun roared out, electricity blasting around him, and covering him fully. Once fully prepared, Minun began to dive down. As the small electric type shot further and further down, the attack began to condense until it just barely covered Minun. From far away, he looked like a meteor in space.

Abel's eyes widened as he watched Minun connect with Dialga in a devastating fashion, an explosion of electricity erupting from the hall. From the top, Minun came spiraling out, landing on his feet, in a T-pose, before falling on one knee, electric recoil forming around him.

As soon as Minun had landed, Abel took off towards him. "Minun, you did it! That was Volt Tackle!" He screamed in delight, hoisting Minun up into the air.

Minun celebrated with his brother, the two ecstatic that they had pulled off such a powerful move, in front of Dialga no less.

As the two continued their celebration, Abel began to toss Minun into the air, catching him as he landed. This went on a few more times, before a swift Dragonpulse intersected with Minun as he was in the air.

Abel's expression plummeted instantly as he watched his brother get shot across the hall, smashing into a wall. Minun fell to the ground, limp; unable to get up thanks to the previous attack and recoil from earlier.

The explosion finally began to clear up, Dialga appearing from the smoke. He looked somewhat scratched, but otherwise fine.

"Clever.. very clever." Dialga commented, charging up another condensed Roar of Time. "But now I'm ending this once and for all!" The attack began to grow larger and larger, until it reached half the size of Dialga.

Abel began to panic, looking back at the two.

"There's now way I can let Minun take that attack!" Abel cried out to himself. With that, he began sprinting towards Minun.

As soon as he had reached him, Dialga let loose the devastating attack, aimed straight for the two brothers. Thinking fast, Abel grabbed Minun, and quickly shielded him with his body.

Just before the attack could collide with the brothers, it took a sudden ninety degree curve, smashing into the wall on the far side, rather than Abel and Minun.

Abel looked up, confused, before Dialga disappeared, and reappeared moments before them; the two jumping in the process.

"Stand, boy." Dialga demanded, Abel promptly doing as he was told.

"Well, I suppose I lost then." Abel stated, semi disappointed that his battle with his favorite legendary had ended.

Dialga merely nodded. "Yes, the battle is over. But you were never going to win. This was more of a test than anything." Dialga commented, causing Abel and Minun to look up in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Abel quizzed, desiring answers.

"During our battle, you showed immense care for your pokemon. You checked on Sceptile almost as soon as he fell to the first attack. You returned Tyrantrum so that he would not be struck down by a Roar of Time, which would have been far more painful than before. You then proceeded to catch Talonflame as I shot them out of the air, then went even further to shield Minun with your body. Really, you should find something else to shield people with. It's gonna get you killed... again." Dialga explained, half joking at the end. Abel chuckled slightly putting his hand to the back of his hand in embarrassment.

"When I said Arceus had told me about you as a trainer, I did not mean your battle expertise, I've seen you battle. What I wanted to see is if you truly cared for your partner pokemon. And in that area, you now have my respect." Dialga explained.

Abel sat there in silence and in awe. The kind words he was receiving were enough to make him explode!

Dialga turned his attention to Minun. "And you, little one. Your battle prowess is spectacular. The fact that you have successfully pulled off Volt Tackle with normal recoil in such a short time is tremendous." Dialga said, praising Minun.

It was Minun's turn to be embarrassed, stars in his eyes from joy.

With one last look of praise to the two, Dialga roared into the sky, emitting the same aura that Arceus had created earlier. Abel looked towards Minun, seeing his bruises from battle heal instantly. At the same time, a small crystal began to float down from Dialga. It came to a stop once it was at chest level of Abel, floating there.

Abel picked it up, holding it in his hands, and feeling the extreme power emitting from it. He looked towards Dialga in confusion.

Dialga grunted. "As much as I hate to admit it, when Minun struck me with my own Dragonpulse, it chipped a shard from my body off. Don't worry, it grew back instantly, but it stung none the less. As reward for impressing me, I'm giving this to you, you'll find it within your belongings in the real world as well. That shard will allow you to summon me when you are in need of an ally. But I must warn you, it can only be used three times, so you must use it wisely." Dialga explained, semi embarrassed that it had been struck like that.

Abel looked at the shard in awe, instantly grasping it with his other hand. "Thank you so much! I'll treasure this forever and ever!" Abel cried out, beginning to jump up and down.

Dialga watched in amusement, before looking towards the sky. "Anywho, I have places that I need to be, and you have a lot of rest ahead of you." With one last roar, Dialga leapt into the air, a portal appearing above him.

"Sleep well, kid. Ya earned it." Dialga congratulated, before disappearing through the portal.

Abel and Minun sat there for a moment in silence; Abel still holding Dialga's Shard close to his chest. The brothers turned around, facing the door they had used to enter the hall facing them.

The brothers looked at each other, nodding, before they approached the door, opening it. Upon doing so, they were greeted with a great bright light, with a small bed sitting in the distance.

Abel looked at Minun, who smiled gently. Abel smiled back, and walked through the door, finally ready to rest until it was time for the tournament.

X.x.X

Xavier sat next to Abel's bed, who was snoring like a Munchlax. It had been a good two hours since everything in the fields had gone down, but Mayleen assured him that the brothers just needed to rest.

As soon as Xavier and Mayleen had made sure that the brothers were OK, Mayleen instantly called the police, having them escort Marcelo as well as his friends that aided in the attack away.

Marcelo himself was considered too dangerous to be welcomed in public at the time, so he was to be sent to Juvi for two years, and then he would be at a psychiatric hospital for two more. After that, Marcelo would probably be well enough to leave and start his own journey as a pokemon trainer. Xavier decided not to mention any of this to Sandra, as she was far too protective as it was, and would never license Marcelo if she knew of his past.

The other two boys were to be sent to separate psychiatric hospitals, where they would receive the same treatment as Marcelo. From then on, their fate as a pokemon trainer would be decided by them.

As Xavier sat in the room quietly, he noticed a few heads peeking out from the outside hall.

Once the children saw that he was aware of their presence, they came out of hiding, surrounding Xavier. Unlike Marcelo, who seemed angry and intimidating, these children were all shy and scared looking, as if they were afraid of being around Xavier.

Xavier merely chuckled. "It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you." He soothed, relaxing the children slightly.

One of the children, a girl, decided to speak up. "Uh.. is it true that you're going to adopt Abel?" She asked.

Xavier nodded. "Yes, that is correct." He answered.

Another boy stepped forward. "You know he's got a condition, right? Like it makes him a bad kid? He can't sit still or anything!" He exclaimed, raising his hands in the air.

Xavier laughed once again. "That's what makes him so special. Ya see kids, we all have to start from somewhere. Truly, where you start doesn't matter. It's what you decide to do with where you start, and how much you choose to grow because of that." He explained. The children sat in awe, some understanding, while others were still a little too young. Once they got an answer, however, they left Xavier and Abel be.

Within ten minutes after the children left, Abel began to awake.

The young boy opened his eyes, wincing slightly once he felt his body was still stiff. He stood up, looking to his side to see Minun, who was resting peacefully. He looked up towards Xavier, smiling slightly.

"Hello, Mr. Xavier." He said with a warm smile. His hyper personality seeming to have died down.

Xavier nodded. "Morning, Abel." He acknowledged.

Xavier stood up from his seat, looking out towards the window. "It appears your birthday has had quite the rocky start, hasn't it?" He quizzed, watching the children run and play outside.

Abel chuckled slightly. "Yea, I'm kinda used to things like this though, so it's not new." He explained, petting Minun, who was beginning to stir.

Xavier smiled at the boy's positivity. Abel looked back towards the head of Genzu defense. "Besides, you and Mayleen are still here, so we can have a little party, right?" Abel explained further, looking excited.

From outside the hall, Mayleen grinned, seeing an opportunity for Xavier to reveal the big news.

At the same time, Xavier smiled as well. "Yes, yes we can. However, I think I left your present at my house by mistake." He stated.

Abel frowned slightly. "Oh.. well could you tell me what it is?" He asked, anticipation dripping from his voice. Minun hopped onto Abel's shoulder, feeling the excitement from his brother come out in waves of energy.

"Hm.. I suppose it wouldn't hurt. I got you a bed.. as well as a room. Oh, and a nice blanket too." Xavier said.

Abel and Minun looked at Xavier in confusion. "Huh?" Abel asked, not getting the picture.

Xavier laughed, turning back towards the brothers. "It means I would like to adopt you Abel, with your permission of course." Xavier explained, crossing his arms.

The two brothers sat there in silence, unsure of what to say, before Mayleen walked in.

"We've been planning this for some time now. The papers have been approved an signed, now all we need is your approval, Abel." Mayleen explained, kneeling on the floor, facing Abel directly.

Abel began to shake, a tear escaping his eye. "C-can Minun come too?" Abel asked, facing Xavier.

Xavier couldn't help but laugh. "Of course, I can't adopt one brother and leave the other, now can I?" He exclaimed.

Abel and Minun sat there, looking at each other, before large grins formed on their faces. In one fell swoop, Minun and Abel began hopping up and down on the bed, jumping with glee on their faces.

"Yesyesyesyesyesyesyes!" Abel chanted, before he dived off the bed, and into Xavier's arms. "Thank you so much, Mr. Xavier, thank you!" He cried out. Minun followed after his brother launching himself towards the two humans. The weight from the two boys was enough for Xavier to crash into the ground, as he was not expecting the hug.

The three sat in silence for a moment, before they all laughed together.

Mayleen watched the three, a warm and gentle smile escaped her face. 'Finally' She thought to herself. 'They all can have a real family.'

X.x.X

Omni had finally pulled himself together, and was now seated on the chair he had previously placed in front of Abel's bed. It had been thirty minutes since he had broken and down into his fit of rage, and now everyone sat, planning their next move.

Omni stood up, stretching, and wiping away the last of his tears. "As much as I so desperately want to stay here, I can't. People are expecting me, to be there for the tournament as well as to be strong." He looked towards Abel, who was still asleep on the bed. "It's what Abel would want me to do." He declared.

The Genzu professor looked towards Iris, who had gone back to her original spot as well. "What do you plan to do?" He asked.

Iris looked towards the professor, and back at Abel. "I think I'm going to stay here. It's thanks to Abel that I'm not the one in this bed, I owe him so much, so I should at least do this." She explained, grasping Abel's hand.

Omni closed his eyes, and smiled. "I'm glad to hear that." He said. He looked towards Ash, and began to address those who were still in the tournament.

"Round three is going to cause me some problems, and I don't think I myself am in the proper condition to make and sort out the brackets. Round three is going to be a Tag Team battle, where each team member gets only three pokemon, evening it out to the normal numbers of six. I have an old friend who I know I can trust with making the bracket, so I'll contact him as soon as I get the opportunity. The sooner, the better. I know Abel's teammate is not going to be OK with caring him around as deadweight, so I might have to explain the situation." He explained, scratching the back of his neck.

It was then that Ash had an idea, standing up. "Make me his teammate." Ash declared, surprising the professor.

Omni shook his head. "I can't. It's against the rules to specifically match people." He stated.

Ash shook his head. "But this is a different case. Abel's in this condition because he was saving the life of another. He shouldn't be penalized for that. Besides-" Ash argued, before looking down towards the ground. "If this really is my fault, then I owe it to him to make sure he gets past this round." Ash finished.

Omni looked at the young adult, before sighing. "Well.. yes, I suppose I'll ask my friend to pair you with him, I don't think Genzu will raise cane about it honestly." The professor looked towards everyone else. "I can't do the same for you all, however. It's vital that you find your teammate and work together with them to win." He declared.

Everyone nodded in understanding, before Omni stretched one last time. "Well, I suppose I should go make those calls, I'll be back within the hour for now." He stated, he went to open the door, before it burst open once more, a worried and stressed looking Mayleen running through the door.

"Oh, Xavier, I heard what happened! I'm so sorry!" She cried out, hugging Xavier to console him.

"M-mayleen!" Xavier called out, blushing slightly. In all the chaos and sad aura that had been filling the air, everyone couldn't help but smile and laugh a little.

X.x.X

Xavier, Abel, and Minun sat outside the orphanage, facing Mayleen as well as a few of the other caretakers. In Abel's backpack was what few belongings he already owned.

Mayleen approached Abel, giving the child a tight hug. "Oh, goodbye Abel! It has been a pleasure watching you grow up these past eight years!" She cried, a tear streaming down her face.

Abel winced slightly, before hugging back. "It's OK, Miss Mayleen, I can always come back to visit-urk!" He groaned, before Mayleen released her death hug.

She wiped a tear from her eye. "That you can, that you can. Oh! I almost forgot. Here's my birthday present to you!" She called out. She reached into a bag, pulling out a white ball with a red line down the middle.

Abel's eyes widened when she revealed the gift. Mayleen chuckled. "You recognize this type of pokeball, right?" She asked. Abel nodded furiously.

"Yea, it's a Premier Ball!" Abel exclaimed, taking the gift from Mayleen.

"Two years ago, I overheard Marcelo saying he was going to capture Minun and take him from you in battle, so one night when you two were sleeping, I grabbed that Premier Ball and captured Minun for you, releasing him immediately after. I would have given the pokeball to you then, but I didn't want Marcelo to take it from you, or for you to feel like you needed to put him in a pokeball." Mayleen explained.

Abel teared up one last time, before giving Mayleen his own bear hug. "Thank you, I'll always treasure it!" He declared. He opened a small pocket in his bag, and placed the ball in there.

Xavier approached the two, putting an arm around Abel. "Mayleen, thank you for all the help. Don't be afraid to come over any time. You're no stranger to us."

Mayleen smiled at the Military officer. "The same goes to you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask."

With their goodbyes out of the way, Xavier opened the back door to his Jeep, Abel and Minun hopping in. He then entered the drivers seat, and waved goodbye to the orphanage, with the brothers doing the same.

Abel continued to look at the orphanage until he could no longer see it, and then some. Taking a deep sigh, he turned around, and looked at Xavier.

"Mr. Xavier?"

"Yes, Abel?"

"Can we call you Dad?"

Xavier smiled.

"Of course."

From within a small, office-like, room, Professor Pine sat at a desk, overlooking Rementano as the town went quietly into the night. He spoke on a phone.

"Mhm. Oh, I see, my condolences. Well, I'm sure he will make a full recovery. Hm? Oh, well of course I'll help. Yes, yes I'll make sure they get paired together, you can count on me. Rest easy, Xavier." And with that, Pine hung up the phone, a small grin growing on his face.

"Well now.. this should be fun.."

Pine sat in silence for a few moments, before the door cutting him off from the rest of the apartment burst open, with both Wallis and Emie barraging in.

"Alright, Pine, I'd like to have some answers! Why do you have us running back and forth doing these stupid errands, and whats with the 'Ash' and 'Justin' you keep mentioning?!" Wallis demanded, slamming his hands on the desk.

Pine sighed in annoyance. "What did I say about knocking?" Pine quizzed, putting emphasis on knocking.

Emie walked forward, her normally silver hair turning black. "Ignore him, professor, we're just confused. You've told us nothing since you pulled us from our training, and you normally inform us on this kind of thing almost immediately." She explained, having an elegant aura among her.

Pine simply grinned. "Fine, fine, I'll tell you. Ash is a thorn in our plans that Oak has been trying to pull out of his side since he discovered his arrival. The sooner we get him and his little posse out of the way, the smoother things will run for us. We've already wiped out Omni's son." He explained. Wallis merely nodded, as Emie frowned, piecing together their part in tonight's events.

Pine continued. "Furthermore, Justin... well, I guess I shouldn't call him that around his dear old friends, now should I?" Pine chuckled, creating confusion among Wallis and Emie. "Let's just say... it's time for me to finally get my hands on that Mew.." Pine finished, a maleficent grin forming on his face.

At the mention of Mew, both Wallis and Emie finally put the last piece to the puzzle together. Wallis chuckled slightly, while Emie grinned wildly, with a blush on her face. Her hair turned pink.

From outside of the hospital, Ash and Co had finally went to get some rest. They stayed silent for the most part.

Justin and Caleb trailed behind, conversing about Round Three.

"I would assume it's more of a test to see how we work together with complete strangers. As Champion, you never know when you're gonna have to join forces with someone you don't know to defeat a greater opponent." Caleb stated, looking up towards the stars.

"Yea, that and it provides more entertainment, while still making the matches go by fast." Justin added. He paused for a moment, before sneezing.

Caleb stopped to check on his friend. "Gesundheit" He exclaimed. Justin rubbed his nose slightly. "Something the matter?"

"Not really, it's just... suddenly I feel worse than I already did.." Justin stated, looking back towards the hospital.

Caleb laughed. "Everything with Abel has us all shook up, that's probably it. It's best we try not to worry about it. I have confidence Abel will recover, so you should to." He comforted, patting his friend on the shoulder.

To help console Justin, Mew broke out of their pokeball, patting Justin on the head.

In response to this, Justin smiled, looking back towards Caleb and the others. "Yea, you're right. Nothing to worry about." With that, the three caught up to their friends, unaware of their past that was slowly creeping up on them.
