LILY KILLED JILY , or did she?

CHAPTER 4:

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

A chilly wind came, and Lily turned her face the other side.

"Come on! Come on, Moony, just a few more steps!" James and Sirius were helping Remus up the stairs and to the hospital wing.

Lily steered up, she didn't realize that she had fallen asleep behind the door, She saw the back of Peter Pettigrew, holding a blanket, scurrying behind the two taller figures.

"Come on, Prongs," Sirius told James as James moved with a little difficulty.

Remus was now fast asleep under the good care of Madam Pomfrey. But James didn't look so good.

"Change!" Peter whispered but Lily could hear them.

Lily saw James transform again, his leg had a deep wound. Sirius was now talking to Madam Pomfrey,

"We found this deer, outside, and he has a wound, we thought, yo know, you might have some antidote!"

"No, Mr. Black, I don't have any, but look at the poor thing, i wonder what happened." Madam Pomfrey looked apologetic.

Sirius and Peter knew what had happened, Usually werewolf bites didn't affect animals, but it was getting deeper. Peter had done some research in the library. But he couldn't find a cure.

"I'll make a potion!" Lily spoke up.

"Lily!" Sirius and Peter turned in shock as Madam Pomfrey disappeared into her office.

"What are you doing?"

"I was studying late, then I came out for a walk." She half lied, half told the truth, rather sheepishly.

"Okay! How quickly can you whip this thing up?"

Sirius wasn't interested why she was awake at this hour, he just wanted an antidote for James. He had seen books and article which stated that people could die because of the animagus injuries. And they had to keep it a secret. For them. For Remus, For the Marauders.

"About a few hours!" Lily told him, "Where did you find him?" Her eyes widened innocently.

"Just outside," Sirius said casually.

"Where's James?" She threw another question at him.

"He's..."

"He's...sleeping!" Peter quickly said.

They both followed Lily to the Potions room, she quickly took the cauldron out, and she whipped out ingredients from the cabinets. She was going through her notebook, as the stag moaned in pain. The wound looked deep and bloody. It was spreading slowly. Only the Marauders knew that the wound was almost a fort night old. It was hurting James. It was affecting his human side. Like the last time he mounted on a broomstick for a Quidditch match, his leg pained like crazy. But he played for the team.

Lily's pot was now stewing, and vapors were rising from the cauldron.

"How much more time?" Sirius looked anxious, as James wiggled and squirm.

"Almost ready!"
