AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hey, everybody...Sorry for the delays, I haven't been posting. But the new chapter, and I made it up by doubling the count then usual. Please your comments and reviews.
"So why are we going to a muggle restaurant for our first date?" James held the door.
"My parents took us there, all the time." Lily came outside. "It is a very nice place."
"Okay!" James closed the door, and pushed the key in his pocket. "If you say so, But I am not sitting in a...what was that again."
James motioned and waved his hands in a weird direction.
"A car!" She laughed.
"Yes, that, I don't want that."
"It would have been fun." Lily walked along with him.
He held out his hand, and they disapparated, now they stood behind a restaurant. They walked through, the side of the alley, to the front door as the guard opened the door.
"This is nice!" James said, pulling the chair for Lily.
"I told you," Lily smiled as she sat down.
The waiter went away as Lily asked him for a minute.
"Isn't this a little empty?" James asked her, as he looked around.
The whole restaurant was empty. There were no people, except two men sitting in the corner.
"Did you book the whole place?" James asked again, "Or is this how muggle places work?"
He whispered. Lily noticed what he said. It was empty. There was no one there.
"That's weird!" Lily didn't notice it until James mentioned it. "I think, maybe it is Monday, that's why!"
"I suppose!" James said slowly, as the waiter came back to get their order. "Let's order."
The waiter took their order and disappeared behind the door. James was fumbling for words. He was a little nervous. He always wanted this, but now that he had his chance he didn't know what to talk about.
"I know," Lily started up the conversation. "Sirius pushed you into this!"
"What?" James was horrified. "He told you?"
"Yes,"
"That git," James punched the window beside them. "He broke the code!"
LILY AND SIRIUS FLASHBACK: Lily talking about James to Sirius...
"James made dinner?" Sirius came inside the kitchen, while Lily was standing in front of the stove, with a coffee pot on.
Sirius took a spoon and took a bite from directly the pot.
"Blah...akkkhh" He threw out the food in his mouth, in the sink. "What is this? What Happened?"
"James didn't make this!" Lily said.
"I thought so, James is a great cook," Sirius rinsed his mouth again. "I don't know, what this is!"
"I made it!" Lily said quietly, as Sirius was throwing out what was left in the pot.
"Ohhhh...sorry." Sirius grinned.
"James ate it!" Lily told him smugly.
"Oh, God!" Sirius said. "When I moved here, and I started making dinner, when he was out because of the Order. I made terrible food."
Sirius pulled some vegetables, and bewitched the knife to cut them.
"And James would never eat it," Sirius was pouring water in the pot. "He would throw it out, and make new food, no matter how late it was."
Lily took the coffee pot from the stove, and poured it in a mug. Sirius took all the veggies, and put them in to the pot.
"I didn't know," Lily told him,"But he ate it all."
Sirius was shocked, "Man! He must really like you." Sirius stirred the pot, and took a bowl from the cabinet. "He never eats bad food, I can tell you, we made a deal, we worked on consecutive nights. When James had night duty, I cooked and felt it in the kitchen, because I had morning duty." He told her. "James came home, almost dawn, he made whatever he wanted, from scratch."
He poured the food into the bowls, and sat on the counter, and pointed to Lily. She sat in front of him.
"This is really good!" She took a bite.
"I know, but it took many takes to get it this way!" Sirius told her.
"So James never ate the food he didn't like!"
"Never!" Sirius put a mouthful in his mouth, "One time, he went for three days mission, and he comes home and makes new food, he throws all of the food I made, into the garbage."
He shook his head impatiently.
"So, tell me!" Sirius said, "How are your decision making coming?"
"What do you mean?"
"Can I tell James to ask you out again?"
"What?"
"I mean, he really likes you, he doesn't talk about it, but don't tell me, you don't know he likes you!" Sirius was now finishing off his food. "The last time, he went on a date, was with Mary, which went crazy!"
"God!" Lily didn't know what to say. "I didn't know, I wanted to say something. But I dunno, Sirius." Lily ran her hand around her wrist. "How can you be so sure, if he doesn't talk about it!"
"I know, I know alright!" Sirius scoffed. "I am his best bro, he was hopelessly in love with you since you came in to our cabin on the Hogwarts Express."
"I like him too," Lily admitted.
"I know that, you asked him to a wedding." Sirius let out a bark like laugh.
"Hey!"
"What?" Sirius asked her, still laughing, "So can I tell him?"
"You can't him that I said it!" Lily said.
"Deal!" Sirius shook her hand. "I don't know what took so long, you wanted this, he wanted this. God, happiness is not difficult. You have been living at his house," Sirius said. "I can't believe, you didn't say anything, he didn't any move because you told him not to!"
"When did I do that?" Lily forgot, and said indignantly.
"Ohhhh, forgetting something, Evans." Sirius stared into her eyes. "Sixth year."
"Oh no!" Lily remembered, that's why James wasn't saying anything. "What did I do?"
"So tell me, Lily, I can talk to James," Sirius took his bowl, and plate and put it in the sink. He opened the cupboard, and took a chocolate from the shelf.
"Okay, okay!" Lily got up, "Do it."
