The story takes place right after the season 10 finale, after Dean killed Death, the Mark of Cain was removed and Darkness was released into the world. I mentioned before, new characters will be added and thrown in the story and I will bring back several former characters from the show in the upcoming future.

Chapter 94 Alone

Ava opened her eyes and her head felt sore. She squinted her eyes and then looked around a bit trying to figure out her surroundings. She saw that she was inside some cave and there were some cobwebs around and the place looked quite dark. Ava felt her sore head with her hand and started to sit up trying to remember what happened. She and Dean were running in the woods to get a way from that creature, a half-woman and half-bird thing called a harpy who was about the same size as them but had large wings and was chasing them by flying in the air.

The creature was too fast for them to outrun and caught up to Ava and knocked her down to the ground. She remembered she tried to reach into her pocket to grab her knife, but that creature swung with arms and struck her and everything went black. That is the last thing she remembers. She can feel the scratch at the side of her forehead from that creature scratching her. Ava kept looking around and wondered where that creature was now as the cave now seemed empty and felt very quiet. Obviously that harpy brought her here for whatever reason.

She then wondered about Dean, what happened to Dean, obviously that creature didn't get him but where is he? Did he escape or did that creature kill him, she prayed he wasn't hurt and still alive wherever he is. Ava wasn't just going to just sit around here and wait for that creature to show up, she had to get out of here and find out what happened to Dean. She then got up even though her waist ached a bit probably from that creature grabbing her. Once she was up she started walking upwards through the path hoping to find a way out.

As she walked she quickly reached into her back pants pocket and pulled out her pocketknife for protection just in case she faced that harpy again. She just kept walking quietly through the path sometimes, brushing up against cobwebs along the way. She wished she had a flashlight right now, so she could see better, but all she could do was walk through the dark path and pray she didn't run into that bird creature again. Just then, she felt like she stepped on something hard and when she looked down on the ground she saw that she stepped on some bones. As she moved her foot off the bones she looked around down the ground and saw a few more bones including an animal's skull, although she couldn't tell what kind of animal it was, but the skull looked like that of some kind of small dog or wolf. She just stood there and stared as she got an even more uneasy feeling looking at these bones. Then she walked on some more and found some more bones and animal's skulls scattered on the ground some were even broken off.

Ava just knew she had to get out of this cave already and find Dean, the sooner the better so she just started walking faster hoping to make it out of there already. As she kept going, she started to see the entrance out of the cave and kept walking faster and faster almost running as she felt relieved to see the way out of this cave and that she was going to make it. She was almost now near the cave entrance and almost out when suddenly she heard that sound again. The sound of that creature that made her jump a bit and slow down her pace. Before she knew it, that harpy quickly stormed inside the cave entrance. Ava jumped a bit in fright and started taking some steps back as the harpy just faced off with her in a menacing manner. Her human-like face showed her bird like eyes almost glowing and looked quite fierce her mouth was open to show her sharp teach as she growled in the loud monstrous bird-like sound with it's arms almost sprang out and she was advancing slowly towards Ava in a vicious way as if she prepared to pounce on her.

Ava had to think real quick on what to do before this creature has her for a snack. She still had her pocket knife in her hand and she knew she just had one chance to be able to use it or else she's toast. "Okay, now I got to end bird lady here before I become one her snacks just like those others" she thought to herself thinking about those bones she saw before. The creature was getting closer and Ava decided to act fast. "Okay, I let this creature get close enough then I stab it with my knife" she thought to herself again. She just hoped this creature doesn't end up overpowering her again. As the harpy continued to advance, Ava stopped in her tracks and just stood there hiding the knife behind her back. "Okay now bitch come on now, bring it on" Ava murmured to the harpy. Then as the harpy got close enough it sprang it's arms and was just about to pounce on her again, when suddenly, Ava reached out and stabbed the harpy in it's paws with her pocket knife with so much force and quickly pulling the knife out.

The harpy let out a very loud scream that was just as awful as listening to finger nails scratched on the blackboard. Then the creature quickly jerked away her arm and jumped back a little in pain, and before she had a chance to attack again, Ava quickly reached out again with the knife this time stabbing the harpy in the left side of it's neck with so much force and then let go. The harpy howled again in pain with such a loud sound and stumbled back. It reached out to pull the knife out of its neck, but then red blood came gushing out and the harpy howled some more. The knife dropped on the floor, but Ava didn't dare reach out to pick it up just yet as the creature started advancing forward again this time stumbling and shrieking in pain while blood came out of it's neck. Ava just started walking backwards fast to keep away from that creature as he kept moving forward but was stumbling more as it was getting weaker and weaker. The harpy now appeared like it could barely stand and soon started to collapse on the ground landing with a thud face down.

Ava looked down at the creature and could see that it was dying form the knife wound she gave it as blood kept oozing out on the ground. Her paws were still wiggling just a bit slower and slower before it finally stopped moving all together and the creature stopped making any sounds and was completely quiet. Ava knew the beast was dead and she was now safe from whatever plans it had on her. She just walked up and looked down at it for few seconds for the last time and then just stepped over the creature and just and quickly walked away bending over to pick up her bloodied knife that was on the ground and wiped some of the blood off with her sweatshirt that was still tied around her waist not caring she was getting blood on her it and then put the knife back in her back pocket and soon she made her way out of the cave.

When she looked around she was relieved to be out of that cave and back in the woods again, but the only problem was that she didn't know where she was and how far away that creature carried her and where the hell is Dean and how is she gonna find him again if he's alive that is. The thought of being lost in the woods all alone in this underworld scared her and not being able to find Dean who is probably out there looking for her now and worried too, at least Ava kept telling herself that Dean is is alive and okay and still out there she just refused to think any different unless she had proof. Ava just kept looking around trying to figure out where to go since there is no way to know how to get back to where she was when the thing snatched her. Finally, she figured she make a wild guess and head north which like she did before and just call out for Dean and pray she is on the right path to find him or else she won't know what to do.

Ava just started running north in the woods still scared as she doesn't know where this direction will lead her. When Ava felt tired she stopped running and just started walking again looking around her surroundings partly to see if there was anymore creatures out there going to pop up as she didn't want to be surprised again. Ava just walked on and on occasionally stopping for ten minutes to rest her legs which were starting to ache. Finally, after such a long walk, Ava finally just sat under a large tree for a longer rest before she started up again. As she sat, she started thinking about Dean again as she was missing him already as well as feeling scared and alone, she just wanted more than ever to get to him again and trying to restrain the thought of the possibility that harpy harmed or killed him even though that fear occasionally crept up to her but she just had to brush those thoughts away. Dean was out there but then she worried that Dean might think she was dead that the harpy probably snacked on her by now and he is now too feeling scared and alone.

She had to admit that Dean is the first man a long while she started to have feelings for even though she swore after Jack that she wouldn't get involved with any man who couldn't give his heart to her meaning a commitment and especially not another hunter. But then she met Dean and the first time she saw him in that near mob riot in Lebanon, Kansas, she felt instant attraction. Then, there time in that parallel world and getting to know more about his him bonding with him, the more she felt this connection with him. At the dance when they kissed for the first time was something had wanted to do for a while but always suppressed it and when Dean wanted them to have sex in the woods, a part of her wanted to say yes then but she knew in her heart that she had to stick to her vows to save sex for a meaningful relationship that involves a real commitment something she knew Dean wasn't able to give her.

She wasn't going to get hurt again like with Jack by giving her heart to a man that can't reciprocate, she just felt she deserved better and she remembered the advice that Bev would give her "Never give all of yourself, your body, or your heart to man who isn't willing to give his heart to you". She always remembered those words and vowed to stick by them. It was times like those that, she wished Bev was with her to give her guidance and good advice. She wondered what she would advice her about Dean, what would she even think about Dean? She is sure Bev would like Dean the way she liked Jack, but she would likely tell her to be careful not to fall too hard for him, he would only break you heart just like Jack did as hunters like them can't truly give themselves to one woman it's not in them. She saw this in Dean, but she couldn't help but feel drawn to him since unlike Jack, they both grew up in a family of hunters and the more she felt drawn to him, her feelings for him increased and she sensed he felt the same way.

When they left the parallel world and went their separate ways, she really did miss him and occasionally thought about him and felt grateful when he called her up to check up on her when she got to her parents' place, but she didn't hear from him after that. She thought about calling him up to see how he was doing and to just talk but she decided not to since outside of hunting she didn't see the point as nothing really was going to happen between them she reasoned at the time. Then when Madame Bess called her up about a possible case regarding that witch Rowena, she just had to take it partly because she knew Madame Bess had also called up Dean and Sam and she was really looking forward to seeing Dean and again. Then leaving to go off to track down those dragons in Portland, Oregon together was also a blessing in disguise even though she thought she would be the one expected to remain behind to watch over things with Rowena, she was at first surprised but then relived she was asked to accompany Dean on that mission, it was great way to be alone with him and still kick ass together.

The two of them actually do make a great team but of course his brother Sam is his true partner and she accepts this but still she likes the thought of her and Dean working a case just the two of them at least once and a while. Now the two of them were together stuck in nightmare of a place together and she couldn't help feel relieved that it is Dean of all people she is stuck with. Then when they bonded together and finally gave into their feelings, she just couldn't say no this time, since she didn't know just how long they will be stuck in this place, it could be a long time, maybe a year like when Dean was trapped in purgatory from what he told her. Ava still couldn't believe such a place exists and Dean was there for that long with only Castiel, his angel friend and a vampire buddy he met there called Benny. Once they started having sex, she felt even more connected to him and vice versa despite her better judgement since she knows if they ever get out of this place, their relationship is unlikely to take off.

However, a part of her is hoping they could find a way to overcome any obstacles but she doesn't want to think about that right now. Right now, she just wants to find Dean and never leave his side again. After resting for a while, Ava gets up and starts walking again although by now she is not entirely sure if she is heading in the right direction or where she is heading but she just keeps walking deeper and deeper into the woods occasionally stopping now and then to rest looking over her shoulder the whole time hoping she won't run into anymore creatures. Finally, by the evening Ava just finds shelter under another tree as she couldn't find another cave for shelter.

She was awake most the night looking into the eerie dark sky and just thought about Dean again. "Oh, Dean I hope wherever you are you're safe and I see you again" she murmured to herself. Somewhere far deep in the woods, Dean was now sitting on a large rock resting and looking up at the sky as he was too thinking about. "Ava, I just hope you're still alive and alright" he murmured to himself.

Update: Hello, I know it's been a while that I posted a chapter but the reason is because, my computer monitor is no longer working and I need to replace it with new one.
