Izuku Midoriya, aged 15
Status: Homeless
Izuku sighed as he trotted down a damp alleyway, he had just finished hanging out at a small family run music shop.
It was one of his favourite pass times, singing and playing the guitar.
The owner, who insisted that he call her auntie Mika, was kind to him and let him browse and try the instruments.
He had yet to meet her husband who she always jokes about but he has met her daughter Kyouka Jirou, someone he has come to consider a close friend, a best friend almost.
He reminisces on the bond he had with his mother when he looks at his pseudo auntie and her cat girl daughter, probably a dual quirk, he misses his past life.
Yeah he was bullied, but at least he had a home.
Now all he had was his backpack and another set of clothes alongside his notebooks.
He hated to look back at day, the worst day of his life. Suicide baited, the crushing of his dreams by his idol and losing everything all within one day.
It was truly a shit day.
He wonders how long he can keep this up, because the sad truth is that he's slowly losing the will to keep going.
The mother and daughter duo don't know that he's homeless but he knows how perceptive Mika can be.
As he kicked a stray can his stomach rumbled, checking the amount of money he had and it wasn't enough for anything.
"I could always go and ask Dabi, Tomura and Toga for help... but I bother them too much already... Guess it's back to grabbing and running now."
He thought dejectedly, he didn't like stealing but he had to in order to survive.
He gingerly approached an outdoor bakery stand and snatched a tiger loaf before attempting to discretely saunter off.
However a customer spotted him and pointed him out to the staff.
"THIEF, GET BACK HERE!"
Startling at the shout, Izuku started sprinting silently thanking Toga for teaching him how to be swift, a vital skill for living on the streets.
Mika Jirou wasn't one to get angry, yes she has been disappointed like when her daughter got detentions or when her husband was an idiot but angry was a foreign emotion to her.
Now she was standing in an alleyway in front of a frightened young boy, a young boy she is very familiar with.
A young boy who became her daughter's best friend and she's come to enjoy the company of.
She didn't know what compelled her to follow the boy, she knew as Izuku, when she saw him run past her shop, but she felt like she had to.
When she got to a dead end alleyway she was disgusted with what she was seeing, a grown man closing in on the young greenette like a predator stalking it's prey she had to step in.
She quietly but briskly came up behind the man and jab him with her jacks and put herself between Izuku and the man.
She observed the man like a hawk, glancing from the man to Izuku who she now realised was holding a loaf of bread while cowering.
It then clicked when she looked back at the man and saw the uniform of the local bakery.
Sighing she said.
"If this is about the bread, I can pay, how much is it?"
"300 yen"
Said the man gruffly.
"You were gonna hurt a child over 300 yen?"
She shook her head in disgust.
"Here's your 300 yen, now leave"
Staring him down as the sick excuse of a person left the alleyway.
"So little Izu, you wanna get up now and tell me what that was about?"
Izuku looked up at her scared.
"I-I'm sorry, I wa-was just hungry and nee-needed food..."
Mika placed a comforting hand on the young man's cheek, noticing him flinch suddenly at the contact.
He looked up at her and saw a soft, warm comforting smile.
"Izuku, are you homeless?"
She said softly, she had her suspicions but now she needed confirmation.
He nodded slowly when he was suddenly engulfed in a motherly hug.
"Well that won't do, come on Izuku we need to have a talk."
She said with a smile.
"Okay..."
He said meekly holding on to her hand.
"C-can we first see my frie-friends? They've been helping me a lot."
"Of course Izuku, lead the way."
As Izuku pulled Mika along to the small abandoned building where his friends were staying, Mika was already mentally making plans to take Izuku in and give him a home that he deserves.
In between her running a music shop and her husband running a music label they had enough money to accommodate them and maybe also accommodate his friends, depending on who they were.
Things are starting to look up for Izuku
This is the lifeline he needed.
