The story takes place right after the season 10 finale, after Dean killed Death, the Mark of Cain was removed and Darkness was released into the world. I mentioned before, new characters will be added and thrown in the story and I will bring back several former characters from the show in the upcoming future.

Chapter 95 Lost And Found

Ava continued to wander through the eerie woods, looking about around her just to be prepared for anything which includes any living creatures in this world as she has her pocket knife out in her hand holding it in a tight grip. After her brief abduction by that creepy harpy, she wasn't going to take any more chances. It was the next day and Ava did not have a good night as she was forced to sleep under a big tree since she couldn't find a nice cave and it took her the longest time to fall asleep as she tried keep one eye opened holding her knife all night for extra caution.

When she woke up this morning, she was still tired from staying up a longtime last night and although she felt like sleeping longer, Ava knew she had to get up and keep moving hoping to find the spot where she was before she when she was taking by that harpy. Of course, she didn't have any idea which direction that was since she was knocked out when kidnapped. Besides almost all parts of these woods looked the same, but she just made a wild guess and just keep heading north and prayed that it was the right direction and that Dean would still be around the area. Even if he left that area by now which he likely did, she so much hoped that she could still run into him, especially if he's out looking for her which she knows he is and saw the direction that harpy went.

She wasn't sure of any of us of course, didn't know where the hell she is, least of all knowing if she is even headed in the right direction. For all she knew, she could be going in the opposite direction and just getting more lost in the woods, or that bird creature killed Dean or he was thousand miles away somewhere and there was no chance of finding him at all. But Ava didn't want to think about all that right now. She was just hoping even if it was impossible and totally unrealistic that she will find Dean again. She had to tell herself she will see Dean again no matter what as she was not a quitter. So now she just picked up her feet and started walking faster in to the woods with so much determination.

Somewhere in another part of the woods, Dean was also strolling in to the forest with a long dead branch in one hand for protection he and he also had his pocket knife in his left side pocket. He too woke up early this morning after sleeping all night near that huge rock. Now that he was up, he felt a bit gruff as he tried to pick up his feet. He been walking for a while now and his feet were a bit sore. Last night a spider crawled on his face and he woke up in the middle of the night dreaming about Ava being carried off by that harpy creature and had a trouble getting back to sleep afterwards and he is still bit sleepy and wants nothing more to lie down on a nice comfortable bed and sleep like forever. But he can't do any of that because he has to find Ava. He still is haunted by that bird-faced creature taking her and for all he knew she could be dead by now, that thing could have made a meal out of her or whatever that thing wanted from her.

He just had to convince himself Ava is alive and maybe she escaped from that thing, she's a skilled hunter as she can certainly handle that bird thing. As he kept telling himself that, Dean believed it more and now as far as he is concerned, Ava is still out there and she's probably scared lonely and looking for him or she is being kept alive by that thing. Dean just prays he will find her and that she is alright. No, he will find her, there is no ifs about that, he convinces himself and the one thing he does know if he ever catches up to that harpy, he's going to kill that bitch, stab its guts out, snap its neck rip off it's wings whatever he does he's going to kill it as nobody hurts Ava, not on his watch. Dean just continued further and further into the woods determined in is mission to find Ava again.

Nearly four hours passed by now and Ava was still roaming in the woods. Occasionally, she stopped to rest her legs for about five to ten minutes, then started on the path again. By now she was sweating and tired and really could use a nice bath. She wouldn't mind just taking off her clothes and bathing in one of the rivers, only the rivers she encountered didn't look clean or safe. She didn't know what to expect in those waters especially not one those creatures like the last time when she saw that hydra in the lake nearly scaring her and Dean to death. Speaking of Dean, Ava couldn't help think about him, she missed him so much even though it's only been a day since she last saw him, but it for some reason it felt longer. Not wanting to think too much about Dean as it made her feel more lonely, so she just picked her legs up and started walking faster into the woods.

Dean also started walking faster into the woods, but he stopped again because he was getting exhausted and his feet started to hurt again so he leaned up against a tree to rest his feet and his whole body for that matter. He began to think about where he was going and if it would lead him to Ava. He remembered exactly what direction where that harpy carried her off and was walking in that direction, but he had to admit he doesn't know where exactly the direction it went after he lost sight of it which will make it harder to find Ava. Even if he does catch up to that thing, he doesn't know what to find, and although he has been convincing himself Ava is still alive deep down, he doesn't want to face that fact that he can't know that for sure. Dean just decided not to think the worst just yet and until proven otherwise, Ava is still alive out there and he had to find her. After resting for a about ten minutes or so, Dean decided to continue his journey. In no time, he was strolling through the woods looking about cautiously trying to watch his back. He will find Ava, he told himself if it kills him and it probably will.

A couple more hours past, and Ava decided to rest again as she leaned up against a large tree. She was so tired by now and was started to feel hopeless as she had been walking for hours now in these woods and she had to admit she wasn't even sure she was heading in the right direction. Even if she does find the place she and Dean were at before she was taken by that harpy, there is no telling where Dean is or if he is even alive. Ava was started to wonder if she will ever find Dean or get out of this underworld, if she'll ever see her world again, her parents, her hometown again. All these thoughts started to consumer her and she began to slightly cry. She couldn't control herself as tears started falling down from her eyes an onto her face, as she was so overwhelmed by all thoughts. Dean might be wrong afterall, there is no getting out of this place even if she tried to find the so-called mythical Hades who reigns over this place at least according to lore, she doesn't have a clue where this Hades is how to find his castle or whatever and her fear and worries only increased now. Ava just keeps breaking down as all these emotions consumed her.

Just then, there was a noise and Ava stopped crying really quick as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She heard it again, the sound of someone or something in the woods it the sound was getting louder meaning whatever that is out there is getting closer. Ava just stood up straight and leaned up against the tree standing real still and took out her pocketknife preparing for the worst. The noise was getting closer still and was heading this way and for all she knew it could be one of those creatures in these woods if not another harpy. Ava wasn't taking any more risks and will be prepared for a dangerous situation from now on. As the noise was getting closer now, she kept a tight grip of her pocket knife, her heart beating faster feeling like the prey instead of the hunter, but she was prepared to take down her stalker. Finally, the sound was so close she could sense whatever that was about to pass the tree she was hiding behind and in a kneejerk reaction, Ava raised up her knife about to strike when she saw the tall figure pass right behind her and she stopped frozen in her tracks and made a gasping sound. Her gasp startled the tall figure who quickly turned around raising a tree branch and his hand preparing to strike but the figure too stopped quickly upon sight.

Ava just continued to stare frozen as she began to lower her hand that she was holding her knife and didn't utter a word for the tall figure was known other than Dean. He was now facing her with his arm raised holding a branch preparing to strike out of a kneejerk reaction from being startled by the noise she made. However, now he was just standing there frozen with a surprised expression on his face looking like he can't believe what he is seeing right in front of him. Ava had that same look on her face and as she lowered her hand and dropped her knife, she was the first to break the silence.

"Dean, oh my God Dean, I never thought I see you again" she said feeling no longer sadness but huge joy never being so glad to see someone in her life.

"Same here, I mean long time no see huh" said Dean trying to be sarcastic even though he too was feeling so much joy of seeing her again but trying to contain his emotions as he lowered his hand and dropped the branch.

"Too long" Ava said and without thinking she just ran up to Dean and gave him a huge embrace wrapping her arms around his neck so firmly.

Dean too wrapped his arms around Ava's waist so consumed by his feelings of relief of seeing her again and his fear that he could have lost her forever. Dean didn't even realize that he lifted Ava off the ground with his hug and Ava didn't seem to notice or care as she held on to the Dean tightly trying to hold back some of the tears this time of joy of finally finding him. They held each other for quite a long time and neither of them wanted to let the other go, but Dean finally put Ava down and let go of his grip on her and she on him and just stood back several inches from the other now and just glared at each with a smile on their faces.

"Gosh, it was only a been a day, but it feels so much longer when that thing carried me off to God's knows where" said Ava.

"Yeah, at first, I thought that bird freak made you're her snack, anyway how did you get away from the she-creature?" Dean asked.

"Well, when I came to, I found myself alone inside this cave. It had all these animal bones a few skulls I assume from other creatures that harpy snacked on. Anyway, I was trying to find my way out of the cave when that creature came back and was about to jump me when I managed to stab it in the neck with my pocket knife and kill it then I made my way out of the cave" Ava explained.

"Well, I knew you could take care that thing, if anyone could take on a half bird creature it is you" said Dean trying to sound reassuring.

"Well, after I got out that cave, I just wandered about the woods most of yesterday looking for you, I tried to at least find my way back to the near that river where we were when that creature jumped us, you have no idea who scared I was that wouldn't be able to find you, but I wasn't going to give up" said Ava.

"Neither was I, even though I worried at first that you were a goner after seeing that thing carry you off, I just knew you were alive and I was going to find you no matter who long it took, I would search this whole God Damn place, to find you" Dean said.

"Me too" said Ava who just looked touched by Dean's words.

Dean just walked up closer to her until he was only a couple of inches for her looking into each other eyes. Without being a conscious of it, Dean suddenly reached out and caressed Ava's left side of her face with is hand softly as the two just glared at each other like two lovebirds. Ava then lifted up her hand it placed it softly on Dean's hand that was stroking her face.

"I'm so glad we found each other again" she said.

"Me too" said Dean.

After few more seconds, Dean finally broke out of the lovestruck trance, removed his hand from Ava's and began to look serious now.

"Okay, okay enough with the mushy stuff, we're starting to sound like some lovy dovy type out of some Hallmark channel flick" Dean said.

"And that would be a bad thing?" Ava wondered.

"Well, I just think it's time to get moving again that's all" he said.

"I know but I just want to catch my breath, I mean so much has happened us separating, me wandering about this place all day yesterday and today and now finding each other again, I just feel a bit overwhelmed" said Ava.

"Okay, okay I guess we can rest up for a few minutes than get moving again, neither us really knows where the hell we're going anyway, maybe we can figure that out while we rest" said Dean.

"It's so good to see you again Dean" Ava said again.

"Same here" Dean replied.

The two sat down under a tree to rest and just talked for while about what the other did when they were separated and expressed once again how lonely they were without the other although Ava had to drag it out of Dean. They two of them cuddled together like lovesick teenagers with Dean having his arm around Ava's shoulders and both of them enjoyed the feel and touch of the other and Dean was tempted to do something more than just cuddle right there in that moment but he knew they couldn't waste the time as the would need to get moving soon. After ten minutes, the two of them got up and continued on with their journey now walking side by side as Dean had his hand lightly around Ava's shoulder since after what happened, he swore to never let Ava out of his sight again not even for a moment.
