Chapter 3: Zwei and Erebus' Excellent Adventure, The Race, Baking with Sky and Ruby.

Skit 1: Zwei and Erebus' Excellent Adventure

It was a casual day in Beacon. Everyone was outside having fun, studying, or doing something else altogether. Two individuals in particular, though… They were just sleeping the day away. Who was it? It was none other than Zwei and Erebus.

The corgi was sitting on Blake's bed with his wormy playmate snuggled up next to him. Ruby walked by and squeed quietly at the cuteness before her and whipped out her scroll to take a picture. She then had a random thought enter her mind.

"What do you two do when you're alone?" She pondered before shrugging. "Meh. Probably nothing important." She mused before walking off.

Zwei and Erebus cracked an eye open as they chuckled to each other as they remembered their latest escapade together.

-Flashback-

The cuddly duo were roaming about when they suddenly noticed Blake in a tree trying to get away from some Beowolves. Zwei immediately got in front of the Grimm while Erebus shifted into his large snake form and hissed at them menacingly. The Beowolves backed away before they ran off. When they left, Blake got down from the tree and hugged them.

"My heroes!" She exclaimed with a two cinnamon rolls just nuzzled her happily in response.

"[Excellent!]" The two cheered as they high fived together with paw and tail respectively.

(Later)

Zwei and Erebus roamed the halls of Beacon and enjoyed themselves when they took note of Team CRDL harassing Velvet again, the poor rabbit girl crying out for someone to save her.

"[Dude, you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?]" The Worm asked his corgi companion.

"[Aw yeah! Let's do it!]" Zwei nodded. The two then charged at the four bullies and began biting at them on their asses. They cried out in pain and surprise from the sudden attack on their persons as they ran around like headless chickens. Erebus then entered snake mode and knocked them around a bit before knocking them into a wall, unconscious. After that, he went back to normal and rejoined Zwei.

"[Righteous/Home run!]" The two yelled as they hopped in the air in celebration. Velvet then grabbed them and nuzzled them happily.

"You two are the best! I love you both!" She exclaimed gleefully.

"[Snuggles from a cute bunny babe. Best. Thank you. Ever.]" Erebus sighed happily. Zwei could only nod in agreement.

(Latert)

The cinnamon roll duo were now relaxing on a bench in the courtyard, simply enjoying the breeze. Nothing could ruin this moment… Guess what happens next.

"Someone help me!" The familiar voice of Pyrrha suddenly cried out in distress. Sighing, the corgi and worm looked and saw her in a tree… Trying to escape a group of fanboys. Zwei got in between them and the one they admired and growled, but they just found it cute… Cue Erebus in his snake form coming and hissing angrily. That caused them to scream and scatter. After they were done, Pyrrha hopped down and picked them up before carrying them over to the bench and sat down with them.

"You two deserve all the snuggles." She told them with a bright smile.

"[Yeah we do.]" Zwei said with a grin, which was shared by Erebus.

-Flashback end-

Zwei and Erebus chuckled again at what they did on that little adventure of theirs.

"[Wanna have another one next week?]" Zwei asked his partner in crime.

"[Aw yeah, dude!]" Erebus nodded with a smile. The two then drifted off to sleep again, no one being the wiser of their escapades.

Skit 2: The Race.

On the race track, Wolfgang was stretching and getting ready for a run, right next to Yang who was right beside him.

"No hard feelings when I win, okay?" The blonde told him.

"Please, if anything, all you'll be doing is chasing my tail." The faunus scoffed.

"Dream on. The only thing you'll be seeing is my hair in the wind." Yang scoffed back.

In the bleachers, the rest of their friends were sitting and waiting to watch the race. Ruby was practically bouncing in her seat.

"OH, I CAN'T WAIT!" She squealed in excitement.

"You ready, Xiao Long?" Wolfgang questioned as he got on all fours, and got ready to run, muscles tensing.

"You bet I am, Prowl." The blond brawler shot back with a smirk as she got into a running stance, her legs tensed and ready to run. Sky walked up in between them and pointed Prologue into the air.

"Runners ready?" He asked, getting nods in return. "GO!" He yelled as he pulled the trigger, sending them off.

Both started to run, the chronomancer using his many years of muscle memory hunting in the wilds of Solitas to keep up with the brawler while running like he was the actual animal his traits were based on.

Yang, meanwhile, made use of her brawler training. Part of being a brawler involved having some pretty strong leg muscles to help with movement, which she gained from doing daily jogs over the years. Through this, she was able to keep pace with her opponent.

But as they reached the curve of the track, Wolfgang was able to pull ahead by using his tail as a steering mechanism and make the sharp turn necessary quicker than Yang, and unfortunately the blonde was unable to keep herself from slamming into the side of the track after tripping over herself.

"Gah!" She yelped as she slammed into the wall. She got up and glared at Wolfgang's back before her hair ignited. When she impacted the wall, her semblance managed to absorb the energy in the impact and stored it for her to use. And she was going to use it to make a comeback.

With that she started running after the wolf faunus, and as the two became neck and neck, Wolfgang decided to pull out his ace and activated his time dilation and gave his speed an extra boost as soon as the finish was in sight.

"What the-?!" Yang got out as Wolfgang suddenly darted forward. With one final lunge, Wolfgang grabbed the ribbon in his teeth and ripped it down as he crossed the finish line while skidding on the ground in his all fours position, sparks flying as his cleats and claws scraped the ground.

"WOOHOO!" The wolf faunus howled as Yang glared at him, knowing the explanation for him suddenly getting so fast.

"You used your semblance! That's cheating!" She yelled.

"So did you." The faunus retorted.

"Mine is always active! It's going to happen no matter what!" She fired back with a growl.

"You're just being a sore loser." Wolfgang scoffed.

"As far as I'm concerned, even if her semblance was active, Yang was the real winner." Sky commented as he walked to Yang's side. "And she's technically right, Mr. Life Hacker." He added.

"Kiss ass." Wolfgang spat as he started walking away.

"Hmph." The Knight scoffed dismissively before he turned to Yang. "Wanna go watch a movie to forget this?" He offered.

"Please." Yang nodded. The two then walked off to go watch some random movie.

Skit 3: Cooking with Ruby and Sky.

"So,what are we making?" Sky asked Ruby as he looked at the assorted ingredients.

"Cookies!" She smiled, holding up a recipe.

"Oh! Okay… Just one problem, though." He smiled before suddenly becoming nervous.

"What is it?" The girl asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I have no clue how to make cookies." He said sheepishly.

"That's why I brought my mom's recipe, they're the best!" The Silver Eyed Warrior smiled.

"Ah, the recipes made by one's mother are truly amazing." He said in a sage like tone, Ruby nodding in agreement. "So, what comes first?" The boy asked as he got out a bowl and a mixing spoon.

"First we need 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. ½ teaspoon salt. 1 cup butter, softened. ¾ cup granulated sugar. 3/4

cup packed brown sugar. 1 egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla. And 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips." Ruby explained.

"Okay…" Sky nodded. "Which comes first?" He asked.

"... I just said we need flour first." She deadpanned. Sky just stood there unmoving and unblinking for a moment before he wordlessly added the specified amount of flour.

The rest of the ingredients were slowly added in, but every time Sky would always forget something about it, so Ruby had to remind him, causing her to get increasingly frustrated with him. She knew it wasn't totally his fault, but she still felt frustration continue to build up in her.

As they finally finished making the dough, they then proceeded to put the dough in a certain size… And Sky kept on putting more on his scoops than Ruby desired, much to her ire.

"Idiot! You gotta make them the same size or they won't cook evenly! Who taught you to cook? A four year old?!" She snapped at him.

"It's not my fault, dammit! You think I want to be like this?! I had literally no one to teach me anything! I had to learn on my own!" The boy snapped back with a glare.

"Don't you get mad at me!" Ruby argued as they started putting the cookies in the oven to bake for ten minutes.

"I'm gonna get mad when someone belittles me for shortcomings I never asked for to begin with!" Sky shot back. This went on for pretty much the whole baking process. When the timer went off, they took the cookies out of the oven and looked them over.

"Whatever, let's see how they turned out." The scythe user said as they both tried a cookie. They both decided to start with the ones Ruby made… Sky never knew how much he wanted to try cookies until that very moment, because he nearly went catatonic from the bliss of the cookie's flavor.

"Ah, just like how mom used to make them." Ruby sighed happily.

"Yeah, that really hit the spot." Sky nodded.

The two then decided to try the cookies made by the Grimm Knight in the kitchen. The both took a bite and…

(A few moments later)

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Sky screamed in terror as he bolted out of the kitchen like a bat out of hell. On his heels was a murderous Ruby chasing after him with Crescent Rose out, a desire to kill in her eyes.

"GET BACK HERE, YOU DEFILER! YOU MUST FACE JUSTICE FOR DEFILING MY MOM'S RECIPE!" She bellowed demonically as she chased her quarry.

Word to the wise, never anger Ruby Rose when sweets are involved. Period.

Dragon Emperor0: Ruby just pulled a Gordon Ramsey here.

ThermalsniperN7: And Ruby got triggered for Sky's folly… Note to self: Avoid cooking with Ruby.

Dragon Emperor0: Yeah. Well guys, remember to leave suggestions in the review section for next time. Until then, see you next chapter!
