The story takes place right after the season 10 finale, after Dean killed Death, the Mark of Cain was removed and Darkness was released into the world. I mentioned before, new characters will be added and thrown in the story and I will bring back several former characters from the show in the upcoming future.
Chapter 113 Foiled Again
Some time had passed since Charlie had knocked Adam out with a sleeping spell. Adam didn't know how long he was out laying on the floor but once he woke up and realized where he was, he quickly got up and processed what happened. He wasted no time hurrying off to Dean's bedroom to wake him up and tell him what happened. Then both of them woke up Sam to inform him of the events. And now all three of them are back in the main room as Dean was just pacing a bit anxiously as they were distressed over what Adam told them about Charlie not wanting to believe the worst.
"I can't believe it, why would Charlie do this, put Adam to sleep and just take off late in the night like that without telling us, that just doesn't make sense!" cried out Dean anxiously as he was still pacing a bit placing both his hands on his head out of habit as this was really getting to him.
"I don't know Dean. I don't understand it either" cried out Adam.
"I mean Charlie wouldn't never do that, not our Charlie!" Dean cried out again who had stopped pacing.
"That's it right there, the Charlie we know wouldn't do that, but we have to consider the fact that wasn't the Charlie we know, that she was still under Rowena's spell" Sam said trying to think logically.
"But we saw Rowena remove that slave spell" Dean said.
"Yes but, remember this is Rowena we're dealing with. She tricked us before like when she told us there was a spell that could bring the Mark back on you, but it was all a set up. Maybe she did that again with Charlie" said Sam.
"But remember, Charlie wouldn't obey her commands after she removed the spell, are you saying she was faking that too?" Dean asked.
Sam nodded his head". "Yes, I mean it's possible, we know how cunning Rowena is. I mean she told us she had Charlie with her the whole time and was planning on using her as leverage over us as a backup plan, when the time came. Who's to say she didn't plan on pretending to remove the spell too. I mean think about it, Charlie used a sleeping spell on Adam, other than the Men of Letters, the only other people who uses that spell are witches" he told him.
Dean thought about that for a moment. "You know Sam, you're right that is just something up Rowena's alley. son-of-a bitch!" he cried out his famous phrase as he started pacing a bit again.
"That goes double for me" replied Adam who was still trying to process all of this.
"That bitch outsmarted us again and had Charlie playing us the whole time!" Dean cried out in anger.
"It looks like it" Sam replied.
Dean stopped pacing and faced Sam again. "You know I really wanted to believe this was the real deal. That we had are Charlie back again with us and everything seemed so perfect" he told him.
"Hey, this wasn't our faults, Rowena had us fooled and everything was perfect. Charlie for the most part was the old Charlie we knew" Sam replied.
"Except that she is still Rowena's puppet and none of us knew it" said Dean.
"Hey, Sam is right, it's not your faults guys, I didn't even know Charlie, but she seemed fine to me, showed no signs that there was anything off and we got along pretty good ourselves" said Adam.
Then Sam's eyes lit up as he turned to Adam. "Hey Adam, you said Charlie had this big handbag where she pulled out some jewelry box before putting that sleeping spell on you right?" he asked him.
"Yeah, right" replied Adam a bit confused.
"I don't recall Charlie having a handbag when we brought back from that cabin" Sam replied.
"What's your point?" asked Dean who was also curious.
"I'm just wondering since Charlie was still under Rowena's control if she you know" Sam said.
Dean's eyes suddenly lit up as well as he knew what Sam was talking about.
"What?" asked Adam who was still in the dark.
"Oh snap!' cried out Dean and soon both he and Sam ran off heading for the storage room with a confused Adam following behind.
After opening up the storage door, they went to the cursed box which stored the Book and codex and unlocked it and then opened it up only to find the both the book and codex gone.
"Son of a bitch, she took the book and codex!" cried out Dean even more pissed now.
"Yeah pretty much" said Sam sadly.
"Holy, with the book back in Rowena's hands it could only be nothing but trouble, I mean destructive" said Dean.
"Not to worry, Dean we will find Rowena and Charlie and this time get her out of Rowena's spell and the book back" Sam said.
"Yeah, how, Charlie and Rowena are likely long gone from here now and I doubt they will return to their little hideaway cabin" Dean said.
"We will figure this out, I know we will" said Sam.
"Yeah, you guys seem to have a knack for coming through, I'm sure you'll figure this out too" Adam added who just had to give his two cents in.
"I hope so but thanks little bro" replied Sam glancing towards Adam.
"Hey, we need to contact Castiel, maybe he can help us" Dean said.
"Yeah, he could help us locate them like he did before" said Sam.
"Yeah, I wonder where he goes off to now, that he's still on earth?" asked Adam curiously.
"Oh, he just roams about still trying to figure out what his mission that God said he had was" replied Sam.
"Oh, okay" said Adam who still didn't really understand.
"Well, lets call him already" said Sam so with that Dean just looked up at the ceiling and called out to Castiel.
"Hey, Castiel, we need you prompto, so can you please pop in right now" he called out.
"Aren't you going to call him like you usually do?" asked Adam.
"Yeah, well I left my iphone back in my room and I don't feel like going back to get it, plus now that Castiel has his wings back and could just fly in we don't really need to call him on the phone anymore, that was just a force of habit of sorts" Dean answered.
"Yeah, okay" said Adam with a whatever look on his face.
"Castiel, please com in we really need you right now it's an emergency!" Dean yelled again.
He was about to call out again when he heard Castiel's voice.
"What is it guys? Castiel who had now appeared right next to Dean causing the brothers to flinch just a bit. Dean was the first to speak up.
"Hey Cas, something terrible hapnened" he said.
Castiel eyes lit up in concern. "Dean what happened, are you guys okay" he asked.
"Yes, sure but look Cas, it's Charlie" Dean told him.
"What happened to Charlie, is she alright?" Casitel asked with concern.
"No, she isn't. It appears Rowena tricked us again. Charlie was still under her control" Sam added.
Castiel looked taken aback. "But you told me you saw Rowena remove the spell" he said.
"She only made it look like she removed the spell, Charlie was still her puppet. I mean she was acting like the same old Charlie and everything was going fine until just recently. While we were asleep, she snuck out of the bunker not before stealing the book and the codex likely to join up with Rowena. Adam here even caught her sneaking out and she dosed with a sleeping spell and other than us, witches have access to such a spell" Sam finished.
"Yeah, its true, I got up to get a real late snack since I had trouble sleeping when I heard and was heading back to my room when I heard some footsteps and headed here where I saw Charlie about to go up the stairs and when I questioned her about it she basically put me to sleep like they say" Adam added.
Castiel just had look of disbelief. "This is all astonishing" he said.
"Don't we know it. I mean we think Rowena played us again but right now I have to ask you something" Dean said.
"What is it?" asked Casitel.
"When Rowena removed that servant spell how did she do it?" Dean asked.
"Well, she used some form of blue dust or something that glowed once she chanted in Latin of course and I understood what she was saying. Then she blew the dust in their face.
"Dammit, that bitch did play us again. That's not what she did when she removed the spell from Charlie" said Dean.
"No, it's not" said Sam.
"I'm sorry guys, I know how thrilled you were to have Charlie back" Castiel replied sympathetically.
"Well, will not giving up yet, we will get Charlie back and make Rowena remove the spell this time and take care of her for good. But we need your help doing it Cas" Dean said determined.
"I will do whatever I can to help" said Castiel sincerely.
"Yeah, I know man, we need you to help try to find out anyway you can where they might be located, I mean search all over this country if you can. Since it hasn't been too long where Charlie left if she's with Rowena right now, I'm sure they are both still in the state and can't have gone too far. Meanwhile, me and Sam will try to use a tracking spell on her but knowing Rowena has the Book and all and that we will be looking for her she probably will be one step ahead of us" he told him.
"I'll search all over this state it that's what it takes" Castiel replied.
"Good, plus if you do find them please contact us right away" Dean said.
"Sure thing" replied Castiel.
"And Cas we will need you with us to take down Rowena and force her to remove the spell for good this time, just to make sure she doesn't trick us again" Dean finished.
Castiel nodded. "That I can do, I'm on it right now guys" he said.
"Thanks again Cas" said Dean.
"Yeah same here" replied Sam.
"Anytime fellows" Castiel said with a nod and within moments he disappeared.
"So, you guys think you can use a tracking spell?" Adam asked.
Dean just sighed. "We're sure try but like I said before, Rowena is no fool, she knows we will be looking for her and Charlie and is probably prepared now that that she has that Book who knows what spell she can use to make it hard for us" he said.
Adam nodded. "Yeah, I remember when Castiel and that Crowley were looking for you guys, they tried a tracking spell, but it didn't work, and they figured Rowena had blocked it somehow with magic" he told him.
"Well, even if the spell doesn't work, we still got Castiel who will do all he can to search for no matter how long and do what it takes" Sam replied.
"Do you guys think he can find them?" asked Adam looking a bit worried.
"I hope so, Adam and if he ever does, we are taken care of Rowena for good this time, no more deals I can promise that' Dean said firmly, and nobody objected.
Sorry that's its been a while as I usually try to post new chapters sooner. Anyway I will try post the next chapter hopefully shortly after Christmas. Plus I would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah and a Happy New Year!
