The story takes place right after the season 10 finale, after Dean killed Death, the Mark of Cain was removed and Darkness was released into the world. I mentioned before, new characters will be added and thrown in the story and I will bring back several former characters from the show in the upcoming future.
Chapter 114 The Wait
Two weeks had passed since the incident with Charlie. Sam and Dean could barely get any good night sleep due to their worrying over Charlie and Rowena as they were mostly on their minds. Adam did manage to get them to relax and take their minds off of Charlie by going out to the bar to get some drinks, going out to dinner and playing a game of chess Adam beat both of them but they weren't really that focused anyway. Their primary focus was finding Charlie and getting her back from Rowena's clutches for good this time. They tried to use a tracking spell but to their surprise it didn't work and they figured Rowena must of used a spell from the book to block their tracking spell or something as that was the only explanation they could think of.
Castiel was searching for them around the country and there just wasn't a trace. It seemed like they just disappeared off the face of the earth. He even contacted the grand coven again asking for their assistance but Olivette down right refused this time not wanting anything more to do with Rowena as she now washed her hands of Rowena and as far as she was concerned it was the Winchester's problem now.
"Damn, it seems there is just no trace of them" said Dean as he and Sam along with Adam were now sitting at the map table in the main room.
Dean had just gotten off the phone with Castiel who told him about his unsuccess of finding them.
"Don't worry Dean, we will find them even if takes of months or a year, we won't give up on Charlie not after all we been through" Sam tried to reassure him, but he was also trying to reassure himself.
"I know man, but after everything we went through to get Charlie it just hard sometimes" said Dean frustrated.
"Yeah its hard for me too" replied Sam sadly.
"Hey, guys come on, like Sam said, you'll get Charlie back, from the small time I known you guys, the one thing I've learned is you always bounce back, if you say you get Charlie back and free her from this witch Rowena's spell than that is what you'll do, I'm sure of that" Adam said trying to cheer his brothers up.
"Hey, when did you get to be so confident and smart?" asked Dean half smiling.
"Hey, learning from my brothers that's all" said Adam with a smile still trying to lighten the mood and it seemed to be work as both Sam and Dean felt a bit better.
"Well, glad we are good teachers" replied Dean with a smile.
"Anyway, when I want to take my mind off of things that worry me, which I've learned to do a lot in this bunker, I just find something to busy myself with, maybe you guys can join me in a game of cards?" he asked them hopefully.
Dean just shook his head. "Not right now Adam" he replied.
"Yeah we are just not in the mood" Sam added.
Adam was a bit disappointed, but he understood. "Yeah, okay well maybe I'll go up and read for a while but call me if you hear any news okay" he told them.
"Sure, thing Adam" said Dean.
Adam left the room and Dean and Sam were now alone.
"Wow, our little brother is so confident when were getting to be doubtful" Sam replied.
"Well, we've rubbed off on him, I mean he's right, we've always pull through and we will this time, we're going to find that bitch and Charlie and we will have our Charlie back and make sure Rowena never causes any more trouble again" Dean reassured.
"I hope so" said Sam.
"I know so" Dean corrected.
Sam just sighed and suddenly thought about Madame Bess.
"You know we can just call Madame Bess again and see if she found out anything" he suggested.
"We must have been calling her almost everyday bugging her for anything, but she hasn't found zilch, according to her it's as if Rowena and Charlie vanished off the earth" Dean replied.
"Yeah, I know but it's been a few days now since we spoke to her and maybe she's found out something since" said Sam.
"Then she would have phoned us by now" said Dean.
"She's still has a business to run, Dean, remember she says her business has increased since the Darkness got locked away again, no harm in phoning her rather than wait" Sam replied.
Dean just sighed. "Oh well, go ahead, I'll accept anything at this time" he replied.
Sam pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed the number and after a few rings, Madame Bess answered.
"Oh, Sam, it's a good thing you called as I was just about to call you" she replied.
"You were, you mean you got info about Rowena and Charlie?" Sam asked as Dean eyes lit up and the turned his head to face Sam.
"Yes, as matter of fact I did. You know I wondered why neither me nor Gwen got a vision of Charlie stealing that book from you guys but I figured that the experience we had with me under that witch's spell and you and Gwen trapped in my painting may have delayed our abilities somehow. I mean we haven't had any dreams, visions since coming back and even talking to the spirits proved to be pointless up until now" Madame Bess said.
Sam was curious and felt eager. "Up until now, what happened now?" he asked her.
"Well, I took a bit of a break from our shop leaving Gwen in charge and decided to return home to try to talk to the spirits again. I just had a feeling somehow that I must do it. Then, when I performed the séance. The first thing I felt was that the reason Rowena is hard to find is she's using some kind of magic to block anyone from finding her. The most important thing was I received these visions of Rowena with a group of women, all powerful with magic, a coven but not any coven, a grand coven and Rowena was their leader and she was using that magic book to basically taking over towns, cities even placing almost everybody under her control. I felt so much evil and power coming from Rowena and those other witches and a threat to humanity if her power becomes stronger" she replied.
Sam felt a sense of shock and discomfort hearing about Rowena's latest shenanigans. "Was Charlie in these visions?" he asked.
"Yes, I did see your friend Charlie standing along Rowena, but I saw all these images of the witches and their domination, although it hasn't happened yet if it does this could definately be the biggest threat to humanity" said Madame Bess.
"Thank you, ma'am, this is the best information we need yet" said Sam.
"Your welcome Sam, I'm glad I was able to help, you really need to find this Rowena and get the book back before she and her coven use for their own means possible to take over the country" she replied.
"We will, do you know any chance when this could happen?" he asked her.
"No, but I know it hasn't happened yet, she probably hasn't found that grand coven yet, I could feel this definitely is somewhere in the near future but it will happen that's for sure if she isn't stopped" replied Madame Bess.
"I know, thanks again ma'am you've been such a great help" said Sam.
He paused a bit, swallowed and spoke up again. "By the way, how is Gwen?" he asked her.
"She's doing fine, Sam but she does miss you, you want me to go get her right now?" she asked him.
"No, that's okay, this was an emergency call now, I'll talk to her soon once this business with Rowena is over" he told her.
"Okay Sam, but you won't be able to avoid it you know" said Madame Bess.
"I know" said Sam as he knew what she was talking about it.
He knew he was just avoiding talking to Gwen to put off their little discussion over whether they should the romantic thing that is between them move forward or he should call it quits. He could be using the situation with Charlie as an excuse to hold off a bit longer but he really did want to focus on finding Rowena and Charlie first and having her back with them safe and sound, before making a decision about him and Gwen.
"Anyway, I hope you boys are doing alright, and remember me and Gwen are here for you willing to help when necessary" she said.
"We're all doing okay at least we will once we find Charlie and we always appreciate your help" said Sam.
"Also, Ava is also willing to help when needed you can always contact her anytime" she reminded him.
"We know but like we said before, Ava is helped enough we want her to leave her out of this one this time, give her some time to spend with her family. She deserves a break" Sam said.
"Alright, Sam, and don't worry I'll respect your wishes and won't contact her but do be careful all of you" she said.
"We will, don't you worry" said Sam.
"Anyway, I better get off now and get back to the shop, can't leave Gwen on her own for this long, nice hearing from you all give Dean my love and same to Adam, bye bye dear" she said.
"Bye ma'am and thanks again" said Sam.
After hanging up he turned to Dean who was eager to learn everything and Sam gave him all the info he learned.
"That's just great, so Rowena is using that damned book again for some witch world domination or something like that?" Dean asked sarcastically.
"It kind of looks that way, from what Madame Bess saw, she's appears to be the new leader of the grand coven and they will taking over towns, cities you name it and luring other witches to join their coven and Charlie will be with them, we got to stop it before it happens" said Sam.
"And we will, Sam, the first thing we need to is contact Castiel since we will need his help" replied Dean.
"Okay, lets contact him right now" said Sam.
With that Dean didn't bother to take out his iphone since now Castiel has wings again and can teleport but he just looked up into the air and called out.
"Hey Castiel, we need to speak to you right away, we got some info about Rowena and Charlie and need your help" he cried out.
Within seconds Castiel appeared in the room now standing next to Dean.
"You called about Rowena and Charlie, what is it guys" he said to them turning to Dean.
"Well thanks to Madame Bess, we have a good idea where she is heading and we will you're your help in tracking her" said Dean.
"Of course, now tell me what have your heard?" Castiel replied.
"Okay" said Dean as he prepared to fill Castiel in on what Madame Bess told them.
Castiel just listened to what all Dean told him about Madame Bess's visions on Rowena and her possibly using a some kind of magic to block any of them from locating her from the Book of Damned.
"Should have known Rowena would use some kind of magic to keep me from finding her" was all he said impatiently.
"You didn't know Cas, what it's important is that we have a lead now and the grand coven is it" said Dean.
"Yeah so we need to head over to this grand coven ourselves before Rowena does and hope the leader will be more the willing to help us stop her after we tell her about Madame's Bess's visons of Rowena possibly overthrowing her" said Sam.
"I take you guys there right now, I sure I can convince Olivette to help us just like she help us before if she believes Rowena is a threat to her position as the leader" said Castiel.
"Yeah, I don't think the fair leader will be okay with Rowena kicking her out as the head honcho of the little witches club" said.
"So grab on to me lets go then" urged Castiel.
"Hey, before we go there, as much as I don't want to I think we should take Madame Bess on her offer to help us out on this" said DEan.
"What, Dean you said, you didn't want to get her or Gwen involved anymore after everything they've already been through because of us" said Sam who did't want to drag Gwen into this.
"I know Sam, and I still don't but we need all the help we can get, we can't risk Rowena conning us again and like it or not Madame Bess is an asset she was useful in us getting a lead to where Rowena might be headed and she can be useful in helping with Charlie" Dean told him even though Sam still didn't look too thrilled.
"But Dean..." Sam was about to say but Dean cut him off. "Hey and so you don't have to worry, we'll only bring Madame Bess along so you odn't have to worry about Gwen being involved. Come on, Sam we can't pass this up this time if we really want to get Charlie back" Dean persisted.
Sam just gave relutant nod. "Okay but just Madame Bess" he replied.
"Agreed" said Dean although he suspected part of Sam's reluntance to want Gwen involved was because he was avoiding her right now although Dean didn't want to bring that up right now.
"Okay fellows lets just go if we are going to to this, I'll take us to Madame Bess's place first then the grand coven" said Castiel ready to leave already.
"Okay, lets go" said Dean who was also eager to go himself.
"Hey guys, just get back in one piece this time, hope you get Charlie back" said Adam.
"Sure thing little bro, it's be alright this time we promise" said Dean.
"Yeah, Adam, we are going to get Charlie back and we're al be together again" Sam added.
Adam just nodded and smiled.
Then the two of them each grabbed a hold of Castiel's arm and within seconds they all vanished.
