Amity was trying to decide on her outfit for the evening when she caught a glimpse of green hair through her mirror. Emira and Edric were looking through the bag she had chosen to take to the owl house.

"Wow Mittens, you really planed this out huh?" Emira teased as she pulled out a small blanket and Amity's lucky socks. She knew her little sister didn't take out the cat socks unless she really felt like she needed luck.

"Hey Emira, check this out!" Edric was holding a fancy new sleeping gown Amity had bought that same day. The twins snickered and closed the door to her room. Amity was fuming with embarrassment as she held the skirts she was deciding on behind her back. While she had never said it out loud, she was sure they had somehow figured out her crush on Luz. They were always trying to tag along whenever the two were supposed to hang out alone.

"So what lie are you gonna tell mom and dad?" Emira asked as she sat down on Amity's bed. Her voice was the usual playful tone but there was a hint of concern. Luz wasn't exactly 'Blight material'.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm going to Skara's house for a school assignment." Amity dismissed the topic while giving her sister a sharp look. The walls could hear their conversations; this was not the place to bring up Luz. Deciding to ignore her siblings, Amity continued to look through her wardrobe for a cute but casual outfit. Something that might take Luz by surprise but not something that seemed out of the way. An outfit that would make Luz notice her and plant the idea of something more than a friend. An outfit like-

"What about this?" Edric asked as he pulled out a gray long sleeve sweater and a checkered skirt. Amity looked at it with caution, unsure what her brother was plotting. "I'm just trying to help you out. You and Emira tend to make terrible fashion choices under pressure."

"I'm not under pressure!" "What's that supposed to mean?"

The two Blight girls looked at each other after shouting at the same time and shared a laugh. Edric smiled and pulled out a few accessories to match the outfit he had chosen for Amity. It wasn't a bad look. Amity stared at the outfit for a minute until she accepted what her brother had said. She DID make terrible fashion choices when she was under pressure, might as well not over think it and wear the grungy skirt and sweater combo.

"Ooooh someone needs to call the fashion police. Trying to look nice for once huh?" Hooty teased as he snaked his head around Amity. She glared at the house demon and reminded him of what had happened last time he crossed a line with her.

"I'm just trying to lighten up your mood, geez. Nobody appreciates me in this house! Didn't even get an invite, ruuuude!" Hooty continued talking as Amity let herself in without responding to any of his whines. When she stepped inside, she noticed Luz was sitting on the couch looking at some pictures on her cellular device. That odd-serious look was back on her face and the air around her seemed to suffocate her.

"Uh, hey Luz!" Amity said in a quiet voice, not sure if she was interrupting something. Luz quickly put away her phone and her eyes shifted into their usual warm honey.

"Amity! Wow, I didn't know you went home to change! Agh, is everyone coming over in a fashionable after-school outfit? Should I change? Uhhhh, I don't even think I HAVE a fashionable after-school outfit! Amity, you have to help me!" Luz was already dragging Amity by the hand before she could even form a reply.

"Okay, so should I go for a casual unbothered look or for a mysterious and dark outfit?" Luz asked as she held a hoodie and a cardigan. Amity shrugged, trying to hide her blush. She was in Luz's room, helping her choose an outfit because she wanted to match Amity's style! This was not part of the things she had envisioned for the night. She was not prepared!

Luz looked disappointed, taking Amity's shrug as neither outfit being good enough. Not wanting to discourage her, Amity pulled out a cat tank top and a pair of joggers. "What about this?" she asked with a smile. Luz took the tank top and a grin speared across her face.

"Really? You think this is a good look? It's actually one of my favorite shirts! I wear it under my uniform whenever we have a test, it gives me good luck." She confided to Amity.

"No way!" the love-struck witch shouted as she pulled out her kitten sock from her bag. Before she could say anything else, Luz had scooted closer to her and grabbed the socks while holding Amity's hand.

"Wow, these look like they're the lost pair to my shirt. Who would've guessed I'd be as fashionable as the most popular student at Hexide?!"

Amity managed to shake her head and smile, reassuring Luz of her own fashion choices. She was having difficulty keeping her thoughts together as Luz was still holding on to her hand, sitting only a few inches away from her.

"Um, Luz? I actually wanted to ask y-"

"Luuuuuuuz, your fashionably flawless friends are here!" Hooty interrupted from outside the window before barging in. Willow and Skara had arrived, each still in their school uniform.
