A/N: Hi everybody! So, this is a story that I tried to write a couple years ago, and I did post it. However, I was not completely sure about where I was going with the story at the time and was not completely happy with the way it was started. So, I decided to delete that story and rework it. And this time I have an idea about where I'm going with this story so don't fear! If you read this story once before it will be different from the couple of chapters that I had posted before so don't worry if you don't recognize anything.

Shining Doe Eyes
Prologue
"Potter! Black! Just what do you think you're doing?" Twelve-year-old Lily Evans demanded while glaring at the back of the two dark haired boy's heads while they were exiting the Library. "Well?" Lily asked impatiently while crossing her arms over her chest.
Twleve year old's James Potter and Sirius Black were both frozen in place, giving each other fleeting glances while the angry red head stood impatiently behind them. James was the first of them to recover and turned around giving Lily a cocky smirk.
"Evans, to what do we owe the pleasure?" James asked while ruffling his hair, causing Lily to glower at him. "Stop messing with your hair, Potter!" Looking exasperated Lily continued on. "And don't try to distract me, I saw both you and Black sneaking your way out of the Restricted Section of the Library. So just what do you think you are planning to do?"
Sirius rolled his eyes. "Evans, didn't anyone ever tell you that it's not polite to spy on people." Sirius said exasperated. James grimaced at Sirius' tone, noting how Lily's face was slowly starting to turn red.
"Evans, it's not what you think. We were just in that area looking for some advanced Transfiguration books. We didn't actually enter the Restricted Section." Lily narrowed her eyes at James, clearly not believing a word that he said.
"Do I look stupid to you Potter?"
Sirius and James exchanged looks with each other. "Well Evans, I mean… if the wand fits." James smirked at her cockily, challenging her to answer back. Sirius put his hand over his mouth to cover his laughter.
"Argh! You're such an arrogant git Potter!" Lily exclaimed, green eyes flashing. "What makes you even think that you'll be able to understand any books like that."
James's smirk widened. "Listen, Evans, I know it's difficult to accept the fact that you're not as intelligent as me and that your marks, especially in Transfiguration, will never match up to mine. So why don't you just run along and let the big boys work on the more advanced stuff." This statement caused Lily to narrow her eyes at him.
"You don't think I could accomplish anything advanced?"
Sirius was the one who answered this time. "It's more along the lines that we don't believe you could handle any types of advance Transfiguration than anything else." Lily growled at this statement.
"Is that so? You think that you two are able to accomplish advanced Transfiguration better than me?" The anger started to fade from Lily's eyes and in its place a glint of determination was starting to glow. Both James and Sirius started to look nervous.
"Ah Evans, it's nothing personal it's just we, as men, are better equipped to handle this type of magic. You're geared towards more of the household charms and stuff." Sirius and James high fived each other for James's comment.
Lily bristled at the comment and marched up to James until she was within an inch of his face. "You think you're so clever don't you Potter? Well, let me tell you something I'm going to prove you wrong. I'm going to accomplish the most complicated Transfiguration that there is and both you and Black will be begging me to give you tips." With that Lily turned abruptly turned on the heels of her feet and marched in the direction of the library.
"Evans! Hey Evans!"
Lily ignored James as she stomped her way into the library, within the direction the two boys had come from.
