Better Together Chapter 4: "Prank War Part 1"

Louie nervously stood in front of Daisy duck's house. He hesitated at ringing the doorbell, wondering if he looked okay. He smoothed a hand over his hair and pressed the doorbell.

Daisy opened the door, "Oh. Come in!"

Louie took a step inside the house, looking around at his surroundings.

"June's almost always upstairs, which is why I assume you're here. You're Donald's kid, right?"

Louie nodded.

"June told me so much about you."

Louie tried to refrain from blushing, "She did?"

"Yes, a lot, actually. She said you were like her in a lot of ways."

Louie laughed nervously; glad that June had left out the whole 'Louie-hated-me-at-tried-to-kinda-sorta-maybe-possibly-kill-me' part.

So there was that.

Louie walked upstairs, just as something rammed into him. Confused, Louie got up and saw that there was another duckling on top of him, May. She was riding her skateboard around the place.

"Ow!" Louie whined.

Daisy shouted from downstairs, "May, no skateboarding inside the house! How many times do I have to tell you?"

May grumbled and propped her skateboard on the ground, leaning onto it, "Hey June! Louie's here to see you!"

June came into the room, wearing her classic yellow hoodie, "May, you're going to scare him! Get your skateboard and get out of here!" She scolded her.

"I don't have to do what you say!" May whined.

"Aunt Daisy! May is still riding her skateboard!" June tattled. Daisy's reply came not a moment later:

"MAY DUCK YOU COME DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT!"

May grabbed her skateboard and stomped downstairs, "Thanks a lot."

"Oh, you're welcome." June said coolly. She turned to Louie, "Hopefully May wasn't too freaky." She rolled her eyes.

Louie laughed, "That's Dewey for you. He doesn't have a skateboard, but he roller-skates…and is terrible at it. Something about having fun with Webby."

June shrugged, "People are weird. So, what should we do?"

Louie thought for a second, "Uhhhhhh….."

June snapped her fingers, "How about a prank war?"

Louie rubbed his hands greedily, "This'll be good."

"Wait here. I'll go pick out the weapons of choice." June came back with a dart gun, a bucket of water, some rope, and a plastic box.

"What's up with the dumb bo-" It was just now Louie realized what was inside it, "EWWWWWWWWW a snake! June!"

"What? This little guy is from April's math class. Her teacher wanted her to look after him." She dropped her voice in a whisper and leaned closer to him, "And May is absolutely terrified of him!"

Louie gagged, "I can see why."

June pressed her face against the box, speaking in a baby voice, "Oh who's a good lil snake? Who's a good little snakey? Who's gonna scare the heck out of my sister? You are! Oh yes you are! Amumumumumumu!"

"Ew."

"Whatever, get your own snake."

"It's not even yours!"

"Shush, not so loud! April will hear you! She's working on some weird DNA science stuff right now, so that's the only reason why she isn't here."

"Sounds like Huey to me. Is she a Junior Woodchuck too?"

"Oh, yeah."

"Yup, Huey vibes."

They smiled at each other, unknowingly bonding.

Yes, I know, a little short, but I really wanted to update this today. Maybe I'll post the next chapter tomorrow. Who knows.
