I, Higurashi, Kagome, am a normal fifteen-year-old. Average, if you would. There is nothing particularly special about me. I don't play sports unless for gym class, and I don't participate in school clubs. I guess my grades are good, but they aren't outstanding. No, I'm not all that interesting, but that's okay, right? I mean, I have great friends, Oshitari-San, and Gakuto-San too...I would even call Atobe-San a friend.

The wisest man in the world would say that all you need in life are a few good friends and a few good drinks. While I don't drink, I do think I've become richer with the few friends I've made. That's why...

"No matter what this school throws at me, I won't let them break me!"

Gakuto stared nervously at the school gate, unsure of where Kagome's confidence was coming from. Seriously, she'd do well to share some with the rest of them, and by them he meant him. "Hey, are you sure you want to go in?"

"We have classes, and I'm not about to fail simply because a few bad rumors are defacing me." Walking straight ahead, one foot after another, Kagome made no indication that she was hurting. She strolled up to the shoe lockers and stepped up onto the platform. This time, no one was paying her any mind. Eyeing papers pinned to the walls, lockers, and scattered on the floors. Kagome bent forward and picked one up. It was familiar, the same as the one she'd pulled from her locker yesterday, only...it wasn't her. The image was with another female in place of where she'd been photoshopped into. '...what?'

"That's Sakimoto-San, right?"

"Wasn't Higurashi-San the one on this photo yesterday?"

"Which one is real?"

"Well, Higurashi-San...never came off as the type...you know? Not that I'm saying Sakimoto-San does, but, well."

"No, I get what you're saying. She's in my Classical Literature class, and studies diligently. She sits alone, and her uniform isn't provocative like some of the girls wear them."

Blinking, Kagome glanced down curiously at her skirt and shirt. 'Provocative?'

"Still, this feels a bit convenient."

"You think Higurashi-San did this?"

"I don't know!"

"Worry about your classes!" Kagome finally snapped from behind the group of students, crumbling the paper in her hands tightly, "the bell is gonna ring in ten minutes, so go!"

"Ah, hai!"

Gakuto swiped aside a scattered pile of pages, pushing them out of his way without giving them a second glance. So long as they weren't of Kagome, he didn't care about them. Though, seeing Sakimoto, Hana on the paper made him seethe in rage at the knowledge of just who exactly was behind this. Moving to his locker, he pulled a pager from the metal door and let it flutter out of his hands before pulling his shoes off and switching to his school slippers. "I'll walk you to your first class."

"Huh? You don't need to,"

"I want to."

Blushing, her face lit up, and she quickly ducked her head and looked away before Gakuto could meet her eyes. "Th-that isn't necessary."

"Change your schools; you have ten seconds."

Flustered, she moved quickly to her locker, not even bothering with the papers on the locker. She threw the door open and pulled on her slippers while throwing the shoes she'd just kicked off inside. Following quickly after Gakuto, who was standing ahead of her and waiting for her to finish. "Y-you weren't even counting..."

"What is this...?"

"I think it's clear." An oddly soft voice spoke out in the Student Council room. "This slight to the Tennis Fanclub is unacceptable."

"HOW DID SHE GET THE ORIGINALS!?"

"Hana-San, I'm sure this won't deter you much," a hand came down and picked a poster from the floor, "Whatever the case, with such a disreputable reputation, you won't be able to remain in the Tennis Fanclub. As of today, you are barred from the club."

"...Momoko-Senpai...no..."

"Please put in a resignation paper properly."

"Momoko-Senpai!"

"I'll expect it by no later than the end of today." Sayakawa, Momoko, walked gracefully from the room. She paid no mind to the soft laughter that followed in her steps. The door closing with a resounding snap behind her, she brushed her long blonde hair from her eyes. 'Sae failed to take care of her...and Hana failed to break her emotionally. I need to get rid of her; she's proving to be more and more of a nuisance than she's worth.'

"Momoko-Senpai looks troubled,"

"..." In the hall, the vivacious blonde stood across from the petite, martial artist. "Sae, I thought you were too embarrassed to show your face to me."

Smiling, Sae pulled from her pocket a USB, "not hardly. I thought I should return the photos of Hana-Chan. You know, as intelligent as she is, her promiscuous after school activities were bound to catch up to her, and recording them...well, you and I both knew that this end was inevitable."

Laughter echoed the halls, accompanied by screams and the sound of glass breaking. Neither Sae nor Momoko turned their eyes away from one another. The girl concealed by the Student Council room had wholly lost face in school. Her reputation was shattered. Unlike Kagome, she didn't have the emotional stability to back her.

"You did this?" Momoko smirked, "a bit cold, even for you. Tell me, what's in it for you, Sae? Are you planning to protect Higurashi, now?"

"Who do you think I am?" Sae dropped the USB on the ground and placed her foot on the piece of hardware. "I don't care what happens to that weakling! However, when you upset Gakuto-San, then I have something to say about it. For whatever reason―" kicking the small piece forward, she watched it skid in front of Momoko, who barely lifted her foot to catch the USB stick. "Gakuto-Senpai does."

Taking a step towards the blonde, Sae didn't stop until she was but a foot's distance from the taller girl. Before Momoko could react, her tie was gripped in Sae's hand, fisted into a grip as she pulled her down to meet her eyes.

Her voice dropped into a deadly whisper, "I think it goes without say, but if you do anything to upset Gakuto-San...I'll destroy you."

Momoko felt her eyes widen a bit as she was released. Stumbling backward, she stared down at the smaller girl who smiled charmingly back up at her. Pulling from her blazer jacket a folded piece of paper, she held it out and grinned, letting it slip through her fingers before turning her back on Momoko.

"Consider that my notice of resignation."
