Better Together Chapter 5: "Prank War Part 2"
Yay! I literally wrote, like, 15 chapters for Nobody Listens today. WOAH. That's the most I've ever written in one day!
"So, what are we gonna do?" Louie asked June, who was still toying around with the snake. She stopped and looked up at him.
"Okay, we're going to hang this bucket up on the ceiling with the rope. When someone opens the door, the bucket will fall. Before we hang the bucket, we'll release the snake in April and May's room. Got it?"
Louie nodded.
May, who had just come upstairs, was sitting with April in the room they shared. There was a triple bunk bed in the colors purple, orange, and yellow, and a desk in which 11 year-old prodigy April was working on her DNA experiment. Her wavy hair was now tied off in a messy bun poking through the back part of her cap instead of it being open like she usually had it. May was sitting on her bed watching videos of people doing sports tricks. She had on the same outfit as before, hair still in the same spiky, jelled hairstyle and still wearing her orange shirt.
Both of them were distracted, making them perfect targets.
June grinned at Louie in the hallway and gave him a thumbs-up, "I'm on the go!" She held a dart gun in her hands and the box with the snake in his other, "This is gonna be rich." She opened the bedroom door lightly, having made her way into their room. Slowly, she lifted the lid of the box, "Do your magic little snake!"
The snake slithered into the room, "Okay Louie, do it now!"
Louie, who was standing on the outside of the rom, attached a bucket of water to the ceiling. The rope was tied onto the leg of a stool, and would get unraveled at any slight movement, such as an opening door.
June poked her head out of the door, stepping into the hallway, "Let's get out of here before-"
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH A SNAKE!" Someone screamed.
"-That happens." June rolled her eyes.
May tried running out of the room but the bucket of water fell on her head. April, who has gotten up and out of her seat to see to the commotion, eyed June, "Juuuune! You let Albert out, didn't you?"
June snickered, "Catch us if ya can, Airhead Duck."
April turned red with anger at the name, "I AM NOT AIRHEADED!" She charged at June, but Louie grabbed the dart gun June dropped and started firing darts at her, laughing maniacally.
"You!" May leapt onto him. Louie grabbed onto a string on one of the blinds next to him, his elbow tipped over a China plate and it shattered.
Daisy came into the halls, "What is going on in here?" The duck looked around wildly, then her eyes fell on June and Louie, "You two are coming with me."
- Later-
"What do you have to say for yourselves? Especially you, June, given you are the older one and role model." Daisy tapped a foot on the floor. June and Louie were seated in two office chairs like some police interrogation.
"It was fun! And for the record, I've been a guh-reat role model. Everyone needs a lesson on snake-safety."
Daisy face-palmed, and rubbed her temple, "June, what am I going to do with you?"
