Heaven and Hell

A small teenage girl sat in her room crying and debating her next decision. A bottle of pills sat in her hand that she continued to stare at with blurred vision from her tears. Before she can change her mind, she grabs her bottle of water and downs the bottle of pills. The distressed teenager continues to sob while curling into a ball on her bedroom floor and waiting for the end.

"Oi," a gruff voice calls causing the girl to sit up in terror. "I don't need one of you damn extras downstairs," he says in an annoyed tone. The poor girl thinks she is hallucinating the man in front of her. She must be! The mystery man is muscular with broad shoulder clad in an all-black suit that is missing the tie and has the black dress shirt unbuttoned a quarter of the way down. Blonde hair is sticking in every direction and almost covers the red horns on his head. The most startling part are his ruby eyes that feel like they are staring into her soul.

"Who…who are you?" she asked with a fear laced voice. The man clicks his tongue while rolling his eyes.

"I am Katsuki. The demon in charge of taking souls downstairs-to hell," he says in annoyance with crossed arms. The answer causing the girl to lose it even more, and begins speaking gibberish it seems.

"What?! Hell?! Ihaven'tdoneanythingwrong?Howcanthisbe?Thiscan'tbe-" she is cut off by the man.

"Shut up! I don't have time to listen to your gibberish, and neither do you! It is my job to bring people down that deserve it, and I decide who deserves it," he emphasized his point by pointing to himself, but the girl still looked confused causing him to sigh. He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. "Look. I don't have anymore more room for you damn extras. The only reason you're on the list is this," he gestured to the girl and the room. "This one act is what is going to send you down with me," he told the girl. She was still so confused.

"Why are you telling me this?" she begged while still sitting on the ground.

"I am telling you because you can still fix it dumbass. You can call an ambulance, get help, and continuing living. If you keep living like you have, you'll get to go upstairs. The other option is to sit here, wait, and come downstairs with me. The choice is yours, but I don't have space for damn extras," Katsuki told her. His tone said he was annoyed and didn't care, but his words communicated otherwise.

"I…I don't want to go to hell," she said trailing off while biting her lip. Katsuki threw his hands up in the air in vexation.

"Then get help!" he yelled. "You're running out of time!" This seemed to kick her into action, and she ran for her phone to call. During the call, she mouthed the words 'Thank you' causing Katsuki to roll his eyes and wave her off before disappearing. What neither of them knew was that a small green haired man with a halo a top his head was around the corner and heard everything.

Izuku had been sent on a mission to save a young girl that was about to be taken by the clutches of one of the worst demons in hell. The demon was known across the heavens for being ruthless, and taking anyone he could to hell.

"Deku! You have to save that poor girl! I'm sure that evil Bakugo persuaded her to commit this act, so he could take another soul! Do whatever you must!" Uraraka had pleaded to Izuku in a rush. In the blink of an eye, Izuku was in the girl's home. There was no way he would let such a vile creature take a sweet innocent child! The green haired boy let his forest colored eyes roam the room to gather his bearings when he heard voices. Hiding behind a wall, he listened to the conversation before he burst in. Had the girl gone to her parents? Had she called for help? Had she been strong enough to not be manipulated by the demon? What he heard was going to make him question everything.

"This one act is what is going to send you down with me," a deep voice explained. Izuku grit his teeth ready to attack the demon and save the girl. Taking a girl's soul for one act? A mistake? Sounded like something Bakugo would do based on all the stories he heard.

"Why are you telling me this?" a small voice asked.

"I am telling you because you can still fix it dumbass," the demon spat, and Izuku's world stopped and green eyes became saucers. Was he…saving her? That could not be right. Every angel had taught him how ruthless and awful the demon was. That he would take any soul. So why save this one?

Izuku walked the halls of the hospital unseen in an all-white suit with a white tie and halo hovering over his head. The girl was in a room by herself now. She was safe, but look exhausted. Fighting death takes a toll on the physical body. Unfortunately, he was going to have to disturb the child to get some answers. The small angel passed through the door to walk toward the bed before making himself visible to the girl. His white dress shoes clicking on the tile floor caused the girl to turn her head toward the noise. Her face scrunched up in confusion and apprehension.

"Who are you?" she timidly asked. Izuku gave a blinding smile before speaking.

"You have nothing to worry about, Sweetie. I am Izuku Tenshi, an angel, and I just wanted to check on you after your accident," he explained with a warm smile, but the girl still seemed nervous and unwilling to speak. She looked into her lap and played with her fingers to avoid Izuku, which caused him to tilt his head in confusion.

"What is wrong? I mean you no harm," he said in a quiet voice. Slowly, her head turned to him to see that he looked genuine with his words. She looked down again before giving a sigh and quietly speaking.

"Are…are you here to tell me I can't go to heaven?" she questioned with fear. Izuku was shocked by the question, but quickly recovered to comfort the girl.

"No, of course not, Sweetie," he kindly said. "As long as you continue on as you have, you will be welcome in heaven," he grinned. The girl seemed satisfied with the answer, but still distant. "Is there something else on your mind?" he inquired before she lulled her head to the side in thought. Her eyes looked to the angel before asking a question that would shock Izuku.

"Do…" she bit her lip and debated if she should ask. "Can…can I see Bakugo again?" she asked sincerely. Izuku stared at her and had no clue what to say. Why would she be asking for a demon?! She seemed to noticed his confusion, and continued speaking. "I want to tell him thank you. He saved my life," she elaborated with a smile.

"How did he do that? It was your choice to call for help, was it not?" the angel asked. The girl only shrugged.

"I was ready to do it. I had accepted it, but then he showed up. In a... strange way, he told me to keep going-to save myself," she paused and smiled at the memory. "So… I did," she said triumphantly. Izuku went on auto pilot because his brain had just exploded.

"Well, I am glad you're safe. I will see you in heaven on day," he said with a wave before leaving her sight.

The mop of green curls sat outside on a bench thinking. A demon…saved a girl. That made no sense! Especially from the worst demon to exist! How was this possible? He had heard the demon too! Izuku heard the demon tell her to live with his own ears. Was this girl a fluke? Had there been others? Why had the angels told him such horrible stories? Why would someone so horrible help an innocent? Izuku didn't know, but he was going to find out.
