Better Together Chapter 17: "A Sequence Of Heartbreaking Happenings"
Thanks to GiddyReflections for the song suggestion! :D
Also, I started another LPS: W.O.O.O fic. I'm making a season three since the show got put on hiatus before there was one! Because each chapter is in the form of an episode, the chapters will be written in the form of a play script.
Louie Duck stormed inside the mansion; Huey, Dewey, and Webby close by.
"Master Louie? What's wrong?" Duckworth floated above him.
"Nothing, just leave me alone!" He swatted at the ghost, climbing the stairs.
"Louie!" Huey ran after him, "Why did you do that?" He asked when they were halfway up.
"Do what?" Louie hissed, quickening his pace.
"You know what! You didn't even say goodbye!" Dewey frowned behind his older brother.
"It wouldn't make a difference if I said goodbye! I'm never going to see her again, so why should I care?! If she cared, why would she even move?!"
"It wasn't her fault! You should have talked it out! Maybe you could have convinced Daisy to stay!" Webby whined. The kids were now in the hallway on the route to the triplets' room.
"If June even cared the slightest, then she would have already done that!" Louie walked into his room, fuming.
"Louie, it wasn't even June's fault!" Dewey objected, "You can't just-"
Louie closed the door and locked it so that the others couldn't get in, but Huey somehow managed to get inside anyway.
- June-
"Here it is! Home sweet home!" Daisy opened the door to their apartment. The walls were a tan color, with few pieces of furniture in the room and a couple boxes.
"They're still loading the stuff in here." She explained, excusing the vacant feel of the room.
"Gee, you don't say." May deadpanned dryly.
"You kids can take a look at your new room. It's down the hall, first room to your right." Daisy told them. April motioned her sisters to follow her. They stepped into the hallway, a boring tan color like the living room was. Faded pictures of flowers hung on the wall.
"Wow, someone really tried hard to decorate this place." June said sarcastically, eyeing the pictures of flowers.
"Can't you try and be happy for once?" April questioned.
"How can I? Louie didn't even look back." June muttered. She opened the door to their bedroom, which was nothing more than an empty space ready to be filled with precious memories of the place before.
But memories didn't help.
June wanted the real thing. She sighed.
The duckling in yellow sat down on the floor, which was a white carpet. The screen splits to show Louie on the other side of the screen.
Louie sang:
(To the music of "What Might Have Been" from "Phineas and Ferb")
"I only ever wanted to show
How much I always cared for you
But you turned me away
Now it's time for me to take a different path from the one I knew
But how would our lives be like
If you hadn't ended up in another venue?
'Cause I adore you more than the moon and back, and that's nothing new
I spent so long trying to gather up my courage,
Hoping that you would see me
But I guess you were oblivious
I thought a happily ever it would be
What might've been."
(Speaking interlude)
Huey:
"You should have said something! I told you!"
Louie:
"I tried to."
Dewey:
"Oh yeah? You didn't even tell her goodbye? Why didn't you call her back?"
Louie:
"I guess I could haveā¦"
(End of speaking interlude)
June:
"I can't believe you didn't even tell me goodbye
Although I feel like I should have said something more
And I didn't even try
We should have talked it out
Should've made things right
Had a happy ever after without a doubt."
Louie and June:
"We're two sides of the same coin
Trying to fix our mistakes
Only after it's too late to rejoin."
June:
"What might have been."
Louie:
"You could have stayed."
June:
"We could have been together."
Louie:
"We could have been best friends!"
June:
"That way we'd be better."
Louie:
"I would've gone on your crazy adventures.
I would have held your hand"
June:
"We could've been a pair of mischief-makers
With a goal in mind, living in a fairyland!"
Louie and June:
"We could have been so great together
Instead of being driven apart
And even though fate's not to say
You'll always be in my heart!"
June:
"What might've been
Might've been
Might've been."
Louie:
"What might've been!"
He sighed, turning his back to his brothers.
He just wanted to be left alone.
Don't forget to review, follow, and fav! :) ;D
